Description

Technical Field

[0001] This disclosure relates to modular construction systems, and more specifically to combinations of box elements and lids. Background Technology

[0002] Modular building blocks (such as those used for structural construction or assembly) typically consist of interconnected parts that form various configurations. In the prior art, the shape and form of box elements and their corresponding lids are not designed for integration with the modular building blocks of a modular construction system. This mismatch in shape, size, and attachment capabilities prevents the box elements and lids themselves from being effectively used as modular building blocks, thus limiting their versatility in such systems. This incompatibility further leads to a lack of cohesion and functionality when attempting to incorporate box elements into a modular construction framework. Utility Model Content

[0003] This disclosure attempts to address and mitigate this problem by providing box elements and lids whose shape and size are compatible with modular construction systems. By enabling these components to be seamlessly used as modular construction elements, the disclosed technology improves the functionality and adaptability of boxes and lids within modular construction systems.

[0004] In one aspect, the object of this disclosure is achieved through the combination of box elements and lids for modular construction systems.

[0005] The box element includes a bottom wall and a set of side walls extending from the bottom wall, and an outer peripheral surface defined on the side walls with an upward edge.

[0006] The cover includes

[0007] Upward surface,

[0008] The lower surface of the cover; and

[0009] The outer peripheral edge is used to engage with the upper edge of the outer peripheral surface when the lid is placed on the box element to form a closed box.

[0010] One or more ramps are disposed on the underside of the cover, and one or more ramps are configured to engage with a portion of the outer periphery of the box element at its upper edge so that the cover rests against the box element.

[0011] This allows the cover to be used as a ramp, for example, for vehicles made of one or more modular building blocks to roll down an inclined ramp.

[0012] More specifically, this allows the upper surface of the cover to be used as a ramp.

[0013] One or more ramp angles can engage the upper edge of the lid with the box element, such that the lid can form a ramp inclined relative to the surface S on which the box element is placed, and one edge of the lid contacts the same surface. The ramp angles will engage the upper edge of the box element, thereby preventing the lid from sliding relative to the box element.

[0014] In one embodiment, the box element includes four sidewalls. In this case, the sidewalls of the box element may include a pair of long sidewalls (arranged parallel to each other) and a pair of short sidewalls (arranged parallel to each other), wherein the long sidewalls are arranged perpendicular to the short sidewalls. Therefore, the box element can be rectangular in shape. In any case, the size and shape of the lid are matched with the box element to form a closed box.

[0015] The cover can be plate-shaped, including plate components.

[0016] The outer peripheral edge can be formed as a downward outer peripheral edge. In this case, the outer peripheral edge is formed on the outer peripheral flange of the cover. This flange can extend downward from the plate member of the cover.

[0017] "Ramp angle" can also be called "edge joint".

[0018] The outer periphery of the lid includes a set of outer periphery portions formed at each of a set of edges of the lid. The outer periphery of the lid may face downward and be perpendicular to the lower and upper surfaces of the lid.

[0019] The ramp angle can be located near the outer perimeter. The ramp angle can have an elongated shape that extends perpendicularly to the adjacent edge portion.

[0020] In one embodiment, a bead extending above the upward surface of the lid is formed at least partially along the edge of the lid.

[0021] The outer peripheral flange of the cover with a downward outer periphery can form part of the rolled edge.

[0022] In one embodiment, a pair of ramp angles are provided on the cover, each of the two ramp angles being provided along a portion of the parallel outer perimeter of the cover.

[0023] In one embodiment, the box element and the cover are elongated in shape, having a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis, wherein the longitudinal axis is longer than the transverse axis, and wherein the ramp angle is disposed along a long outer periphery portion of the cover that is parallel to the longitudinal axis.

[0024] In one embodiment, the ramp angle is located at the end of the cover in the longitudinal direction.

[0025] In one embodiment, two or more pairs of ramp angles are provided at each end of the cover in the longitudinal direction.

[0026] This causes the lid to form several predetermined angles relative to the surface on which the lid and box elements are placed.

[0027] In one implementation, the ramp angle is a notch formed in the downward-facing edge of the cover.

[0028] In principle, the downward-facing edge of the lid can be the outer peripheral edge of the lid, in which case it must be formed on the downward-extending flange of the lid. However, in some embodiments, the downward-facing edge is separated from the aforementioned outer peripheral edge and is arranged parallel to it, for example, within a groove formed inside the aforementioned rolled edge.

[0029] In an alternative implementation, the ramp angle can be configured as a protrusion extending from the underside of the cover. For example, such a protrusion could be a flange knob particle or a knob.

[0030] In one implementation, the crimp is discontinuous in its longitudinal portion, such that the upward surface of the cap extends to the outermost edge of the cap.

[0031] This will allow vehicles with modular construction systems to pass through. Such vehicles could be sleds or cars formed from one or more modular construction elements.

[0032] In one embodiment, the box element and the lid are elongated in shape, having a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis, wherein the longitudinal axis is longer than the transverse axis, and wherein the discontinuity of the rolled edge is located at the short outer peripheral edge of the lid.

[0033] In one embodiment, the outer vertical surface of the rolled edge is flush with the outer surface of the sidewall of the box element.

[0034] In one embodiment, a locking element disposed on the box element is configured to engage discontinuous portions of the rolled edge on the lid to lock the lid to the box element.

[0035] In one embodiment, when the locking element is in the closed (or locked) position, the cover is locked to the box element, and the first outer surface of the locking element is flush with the outward surface of the outer peripheral flange of the cover and with the outer surface of the sidewall of the box element.

[0036] In one embodiment, when the locking element is in the closed position, the cover is locked to the box element, and the second outer surface of the locking element 8 is flush with the upper surface of the rolled edge.

[0037] In one implementation, the rolled edge defines a frame around the plate area formed by the upper surface of the cover.

[0038] The framework comprises a set of framework parts, and

[0039] At least one of the frame components includes a scale indicating the length or width of the indicator area.

[0040] This allows the user to determine the position of the board area relative to the frame portion on which the ruler is set, such as the position of a vehicle.

[0041] For example, when the cover is used as a ramp that allows a vehicle to roll or slide, users can compare how far the vehicle must be placed on the ramp to roll / slide a certain distance. Thus, the scale markings can allow users to conduct tests, such as for educational purposes.

[0042] The scale is formed as an integral part of the frame. For example, the markings on the scale can be integrally formed with the frame, for instance, during an injection molding process.

[0043] In some implementations, the distance in the longitudinal direction of the ruler indicator area A.

[0044] The scale is set on the outer surface of the frame section, such as the upward-facing surface 48' of the top rolled edge wall.

[0045] In one implementation, the scale indicates length or width in increments of the modular distance (M) of the modular construction system.

[0046] In one implementation, the ruler uses numerical markings to indicate length or width.

[0047] In one implementation, the scale indicates length or width in four-step increments of the modular distance M of the modular construction system.

[0048] In one embodiment, the upper surface of the mounting plate includes a line marker for one or more numerical markers of a ruler, wherein each line marker extends perpendicular to the frame portion where the ruler is located, and wherein each line marker is aligned with a numerical marker.

[0049] In one embodiment, the rolled edge defines a frame surrounding the plate area formed by the upper surface of the cover, and

[0050] The length and width of the plate region formed by the upper surface of the cover are determined by the increment of the modular distance of the modular construction system.

[0051] In one implementation, the length and width of the plate region A formed by the upper surface of the cover are determined by increments of the modular distance of the modular construction system.

[0052] In one embodiment, the assembly further includes one or more modular building panels, each including connectors formed on its upper surface.

[0053] The board area is configured to install one or more modular boards to build the board.

[0054] In a second aspect, the object of this invention is achieved by a modular construction system comprising a combination of box elements and a cover, wherein the combination is defined as any embodiment of the first aspect of this invention described above.

[0055] In this application, the terms "upward" and "downward" are used. It should be emphasized that "upward," "downward," etc., refer to a combination of a box element and a lid, or a box element or lid disposed on a surface (e.g., a floor or table), and the lid and / or box element is located on an upward surface facing away from the surface on which the lid and / or box element are placed, such that the upward surface of the lid and / or box element is parallel to the surface on which the lid and / or box element are placed. It should be understood that in various applications of the lid and / or box element, the lid and / or box element may be oriented in different directions.

[0056] Modular building blocks can also be called modular construction blocks.

[0057] Box elements and lids can be considered as modular construction elements / modular building blocks. Modular construction elements include connectors, also referred to as coupling members, adapted to mechanically connect modular construction elements to each other in a detachable manner to build toys or educational construction models. Connectors / coupling members of modular construction elements can include coupling members using friction engagement, snap-fit engagement, or a combination of both to support detachable connections between modular construction elements. Alternatively or additionally, connectors / coupling members providing a detachable shape-locking positive connection can also be used to form a detachable mechanical connection between modular construction elements. Alternatively or additionally, magnetic connectors / coupling members (i.e., mating coupling members relying on magnetic attraction) can also be used to form a detachable mechanical connection between modular construction elements.

[0058] It should be emphasized that the terms "comprises," "comprising," or "comprised of" used in this specification are used to describe the presence of the stated feature, integer, step, or component, but do not exclude the presence or addition of one or more other features, integers, steps, components, or groups thereof. [0077] Figure 1 The combination 1 of box element 3 and lid 6 is shown in a perspective view. In one aspect of the present invention, box element 3, lid 6, and combination 1 thereof can each form part of a modular construction system 100. The modular construction system 100 can be a modular construction system 100 for educational purposes and / or a modular toy construction system.

[0078] Such modular construction systems 100 are known in the art, for example, those branded with the name "LEGO".

[0079] It is known that such a modular construction system 100 has a modular structure, wherein the elements or components of the modular construction system can be interconnected by means of mating coupling devices, such as coupling knobs or knob pegs, which are configured to engage with corresponding knob / knob peg receiving openings, such as... Figure 15A -C is shown.

[0080] Figure 15A -C illustrates an example of a construction element or toy construction element of the modular construction system 100. Such toy construction elements of the modular construction system 100 are typically formed from polymeric materials (e.g., plastic) and are typically produced using an injection molding process.

[0081] Figure 15A and 15C Two substantially identical toy building blocks, 102A and 102B, are shown. Each of these building blocks 102A and 102B includes a body portion 103 with a top surface 104 on which eight first connectors 900 are constructed. The cylindrical connectors 900 may also be referred to as connecting knob particles or connecting knobs, or simply knobs 901. The cylindrical connectors 900 are formed on the building blocks 102A and 102B in a regular two-dimensional array, grid, or mesh (in this example, a 2×4 mesh). The cylindrical connector 900 includes a body 905 having an outer cylindrical surface 910.

[0082] The main body 103 of the structural elements 102A and 102B includes sidewalls 106A, 106B, 106C and 106D, which are constructed with a lowermost edge 107, which forms the placement surface of the structural elements 102A and 102B.

[0083] Figure 15B The toy construction elements 102A and 102B of the type shown also include a set of cylinders 911 that extend downward from the lower surface 912 of the top wall 105 of the side walls 106A-106D connecting the construction elements 102A and 102B. A knob receiving opening 902 is formed between the inner surface 916 of the side walls 106A-106D and the outer surface 915 of one or more cylinders 911.

[0084] The knob 901 and the knob receiving opening 902 are configured to engage with each other in a press-fit / interference fit manner for releasable attachment.

[0085] When sidewalls 106A, 106B, 106C, and 106D are pressed downwards onto the connecting knob particle 901 of the lowest structural element 102B, the sidewalls 106A, 106B, 106C, and 106D of the uppermost structural element 102A are pressed outwards. Subsequently, sidewalls 106A-106D press against the connecting knob particle 901 of the lowest structural element 102B and the outer surface 915 of the cylinder 911. Figure 15A - The structural elements 102A and 102B of type -C are connected to each other by an interference fit (press fit).

[0086] As shown in the figure, elongated ribs 917 extend outward from the inner surfaces 916 of the sidewalls 106A-106D and form from the lower surface 912 of the wall 913 to the lower edge 107. These elongated ribs form the contact between the knob 901 and the sidewalls 106A-106D. Figure 15B The toy construction elements 102A and 102B, viewed from below, are shown in the image. A second knob 901 connecting the toy construction elements is shown in dashed lines. Each knob 901 of the 2x4 toy construction elements 102A and 102B is inserted into a single knob receiving opening 902 of the toy construction elements 2A and 2B shown.

[0087] Figure 15C Two toy construction elements 102A and 102B as described above are shown, wherein the two toy construction elements are in the process of being connected or disconnected from each other, in a connected state or a disconnected state, such as, for example Figure 15A As shown.

[0088] exist Figure 15CThe view shown is a cross-sectional view of the upper toy component 102A, perpendicular to its longitudinal direction. The lowermost toy component is shown in a side view. This view shows how the knob 901 of one toy component 102B engages with a portion of the inner surface 916 of the side wall of toy component 102A, and with the outer surface 915 of the cylinder 911 of another toy component 102A.

[0089] Figure 15C The modular distance M of the modular construction systems 100 and 101 is further illustrated. The modular distance M is defined by the distance between connector 900, first connector 901, and second connector 902. The dimensions of the modular construction elements / assembly elements of the modular construction system conform to the modular distance M at least in the horizontal plane, i.e., the length and width of the modular construction elements / assembly elements of the modular construction system are formed as integer increments of the modular distance.

[0090] Cylindrical connectors 900 (e.g., knob 901 and knob receiving opening 902) are formed on structural elements 102A and 102B in the form of a regular two-dimensional grid, for example as... Figure 15A As shown in -C, this forms the basis for several modular construction systems known in the art.

[0091] According to this utility model, the shape and size of the box 10, the lid 6 and their combination 1 can form the components of this modular construction system 100.

[0092] Now back Figure 1 The combination 1 of box element 3 and cover 6 can form box 2 together. Box 2 can be in a closed state, at which time cover 6 covers the opening 5 leading to the internal space 4 of box element 3. Box 2 can be in an open state, at which time cover 6 is removed from box element 3, so that the internal space 4 of box element 3 can be accessed. Figure 1 The assembly 1 is shown in the open state, with the cover 6 removed from the box element 3 and resting against the outer peripheral upward edge 30 of the box element 3. Figure 2 The assembly 1 is shown as a closed box 2, wherein the cover 6 is configured to cover the opening 5 leading to the interior space 4 of the box element 3.

[0093] The box element 3 includes a bottom wall 10 and a set of side walls 20, the side walls 20 being connected to the bottom wall 10 and extending upward from the bottom wall 10. An upwardly facing outer peripheral edge 30 is defined as a top edge formed on the side wall 20. An interior space 4 is defined between the side wall 20 and the bottom wall 10. The upwardly facing outer peripheral edge 30 defines an upward opening 5, thereby allowing a user to place or remove objects from the interior space 4.

[0094] In some embodiments, and as shown, the box element 3 has four sidewalls 21, 22, 23, 24. Therefore, the upward-facing edge 30 of the outer peripheral surface of the box element 3 includes four partial edges 31, 32, 33, 34, with one partial edge defined on each sidewall 21, 22, 23, 24.

[0095] Therefore, the upward opening 5 leading to the interior space 4 of the box element 3 is defined between the partial edges 31, 32, 33, and 34 of the upward-facing edge 30 on the outer peripheral surface. Objects can be stored in the interior space 4 of the box element 3 by placing them through the upward opening 5.

[0096] In some implementations, and as in, for example Figure 1 and Figure 2 As shown, the box element 3 has an elongated box shape, which can also be described as rectangular in cross-section parallel to the bottom wall 10. Therefore, the side walls 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24 of the box element 3 may include a pair of long side walls 22 and 24 arranged parallel to each other, and a pair of short side walls 21 and 23 also parallel to each other, wherein the long side walls 22 and 24 are arranged perpendicular to the short side walls 21 and 23. In such embodiments, the cover 6 has a corresponding elongated or rectangular shape.

[0097] It should be understood that, in principle, the box element 3 can have other shapes. For example, the box element can have three or more sidewalls. In some embodiments, the box element can have four sidewalls of equal length, thus having a square shape (in a cross-section parallel to the bottom wall 10). In such embodiments, the lid 6 has a corresponding square shape.

[0098] In principle, the box element 3 (in a cross-section parallel to the bottom wall 10) can also have other shapes. In any case, the cover 6 will have a corresponding shape.

[0099] We also note that, as shown in the figure, the intersection between adjacent sidewalls can be circular; see [reference]. Figure 1 , 11 And 12. This will help prevent objects stored in box element 3 from getting stuck in the corners.

[0100] like Figure 3 and Figure 4 As shown, in some embodiments, the sidewalls may include a double-wall structure, wherein each sidewall 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 includes an outer wall 26 and an inner wall 27. In this case, the aforementioned partial edges 31, 32, 33, 34 of the outer peripheral upward edge 30 are formed by flanges extending upward from a connecting wall 28, which extends between the inner wall 26 and the outer wall 27 of each of the sidewalls 20, 21, 22, 23, 24.

[0101] In other embodiments not shown, the sidewall 20 may be a single-wall structure, and the aforementioned portions of the outer peripheral upward edge 30, edges 31, 32, 33, 34, are simply formed as the upper edge of the sidewall 20.

[0102] In any case, the box element can be made of plastic, for example, through injection molding.

[0103] In some embodiments, the sidewalls and the bottom are formed as a single integral element. However, in other embodiments, the sidewalls 20 may be detachably attached to the bottom 10, or may be an integrally formed set of sidewalls 20 and detachably attached to the bottom, or may be individually attached to the bottom by a single sidewall 21, 22, 23, 24 or a subgroup thereof.

[0104] The lid 6 can typically be plate-shaped, comprising a flat plate-shaped main body portion or plate member 40. The size and shape of the lid 6 can be matched with the box element 3 so that when the lid 6 is mounted on the box element 3, the combination 1 of the box and the lid forms a closed box, such as... Figure 2 As shown, this closes the upward opening 5 of the box element 3. The cover is detachably attached to the box element 3.

[0105] The cover 6 includes an upper surface 41, an opposite lower surface 42, and an outer peripheral edge 50. The upper surface 41 is formed on the upper side of the plate member 40, and the lower surface 42 is formed on the lower side of the plate member 40. The lower surface 42 is located on the lower side 44 of the plate member 40 of the cover 6.

[0106] As described above, the cover 6 also includes an outer peripheral edge 50, which is configured to engage with the upward-facing edge 30 of the outer peripheral surface of the box element 3 when the cover 6 is disposed on the box element 3 to form a closed box 2. Figure 2 The combination 1 of box element 3 and cover 6 in a closed box structure is shown.

[0107] The outer peripheral edge 50 includes four outer peripheral edge portions 51, 52, 53, and 54 disposed along the edge of the plate member 40 of the cover 6. In the illustrated embodiment, the outer peripheral edge 50 is disposed on the outer peripheral flange 50' of the cover 6. In some embodiments, the outer peripheral flange 50' extends downward from the outer edge of the plate member 40 of the cover 6. For example, Figure 3 As shown, the outer peripheral flange 50' of the cover 6 is formed as part of the rolled edge 7, which can be formed along the outer peripheral edge of the plate member 40 of the cover 6.

[0108] As shown in the figure, when the outer peripheral edge 50 is provided on the outer peripheral flange 50' as described above, each outer peripheral edge portion 51, 52, 53, 54 of the outer peripheral edge 50 is formed on the outer peripheral flange portion 51', 52', 53', 54'.

[0109] In some embodiments, where the box element 3 and the cover 6 (in a cross-section parallel to the bottom wall 10) are elongated / rectangular in shape, the outer peripheral edge portions 51, 52, 53, 54 include two short outer peripheral edge portions 51, 53 (formed parallel to each other) and two long outer peripheral edge portions 52, 54 (formed parallel to each other and perpendicular to the two short outer peripheral edge portions 51, 53). Therefore, the outer peripheral flange portions 51', 52', 53', 54' include two short outer peripheral flange portions 51', 53' (formed parallel to each other) and two long outer peripheral flange portions 52', 54' (formed parallel to each other and perpendicular to the two short outer peripheral flange portions 51', 53').

[0110] In some embodiments, where the box element 3 and the cover 6 (in a cross-section parallel to the bottom wall 10) are elongated / rectangular in shape, the box element 3 and the cover 6 can therefore be said to each have an elongated shape with a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis. The length of the box element 3 and the cover 6 in the longitudinal direction along the longitudinal axis is greater than the width of the box element 3 and the cover 6 in the transverse direction along the transverse axis.

[0111] In some embodiments, and as shown, the cover 6 includes a rolled edge 7. This rolled edge extends above the upward surface 41 of the cover 6. This means that the upward-facing surface of the rolled edge 7—in the vertical direction perpendicular to the upward surface 41 of the plate member 40 of the cover 6—extends above the upward surface 41 of the plate member 40 of the cover 6.

[0112] The rolled edge 7 runs along the outer peripheral edge 45 of the plate-like member 40 (see...). Figure 3 The rolled edge 7 can also be formed partially along the outer peripheral edge 45 of the plate-like member 40, such as, for example... Figure 1 and Figure 2 As shown. It can be said that the rolled edge 7 is formed at least partially along the edge of the cover 6. Therefore, openings 46 are formed in the rolled edge 7. The purpose of these openings 46 in the rolled edge 7 will be further explained below.

[0113] Now for reference Figure 3 The rolled edge 7 includes an inwardly rolled edge wall 47 that faces the upward surface 41 of the cover 6 and extends upward from the same upward surface 41 of the cover 6. The inwardly rolled edge wall 47 is connected to the plate member 40 of the cover 6. The connection between the inwardly rolled edge wall 47 and the plate member 40 of the cover 6 is located at the outer peripheral edge 45 of the plate member 40.

[0114] The rolled edge 7 also includes a top rolled edge wall 48, which is connected to an inward rolled edge wall 47 and extends parallel to the upward surface 41 of the cover 6.

[0115] In addition, the rolled edge 7 also includes a downwardly extending wall, which, for example... Figure 3The illustrated embodiment is identical to the outer peripheral flange 50' of the cover 6, i.e., it is provided by outer peripheral flange portions 51', 52', 53', and 54'. Therefore, the outer peripheral flange 50' and the downward outer peripheral edge 50 of the cover can form part of the rolled edge 7.

[0116] Therefore, the rolled edge 7 is typically shaped to face downwards or inverted U-shape. Thus, the rolled edge 7 defines a downward-facing longitudinal groove 49.

[0117] For example Figure 5 As shown, the downward-facing longitudinal groove 49 can be provided with support pillars 49' formed transversely to the longitudinal direction of the groove 49. Such support pillars 49 can be arranged at regular intervals along the length direction of the rolled edge 7 to increase the stability of the cover 6.

[0118] When the box element 3 has the double-wall structure briefly described above, the width of the rolled edge 7 between the outer peripheral flange 50' of the cover 6 and the inward rolled edge wall 47 is greater than that of the connecting wall 28, which is a wall that extends horizontally (i.e., parallel to the plate member 40 of the cover 6) between the inner wall 27 and the outer wall 28 of each side wall.

[0119] In any case, the cover 6 can be made of plastic, for example, through injection molding.

[0120] In some embodiments, the plate member 40 and the rolled edge 7 are formed as a single integral element. However, in other embodiments, the rolled edge 7 may be detachably attached to the bottom 10, or may be a group of rolled edge portions integrally formed with each other and detachably attached to the plate member 40, or may a single rolled edge portion or its subgroup be detachably attached to the bottom individually.

[0121] In some implementations, and as in, for example Figure 3 As shown, the cover 6 includes a cover support wall 55. The cover support wall 55 extends downward from the cover 6.

[0122] In the illustrated embodiment, the downwardly extending cover support wall 55 extends from the downward-facing surface 48” of the top rolled edge wall 48 of the rolled edge 7.

[0123] The cover support wall 55 includes a lower edge 56. The lower edge 56 is defined at the free end of the cover support wall 55, opposite to the position where the cover support wall 55 is connected to the cover 6.

[0124] like Figure 3 As shown, in an embodiment where the box element 3 has a double-wall structure, the cover support wall 55 is configured such that when the cover is disposed on the box element 3 to form a closed box 2, its downward-facing edge 56 abuts against the connecting wall 28 of the box element 3. Thus, when the cover 6 is disposed on the box element 3 to form a closed box 2, the support wall 55 can provide stability to the assembly 1.

[0125] In some implementations, the cover support wall 55 is integrally formed with the rolled edge 7 and the cover 6.

[0126] The cover 6 also includes a ramp angle 9, which may be a semi-circular cut as shown in the figure. The ramp angle 9 is disposed on the downward or lower side 44 of the cover 6, as will be described in further detail below. The ramp angle 9 is configured to engage with a portion of the upward-facing edge 30 of the outer peripheral surface of the box element 3, so that the cover 6 rests against the box element 3 without the box element sliding, as... Figure 1 As shown. This allows the upward surface 41 of the cover 6 to be used as a ramp, for example for vehicles formed of one or more modular building elements to roll or slide down the inclined ramp.

[0127] One or more such ramp angles 9 allow the cover 6 to engage the upper edge 30 of the box element 3, such that the cover 6 can form a ramp inclined relative to the surface S on which the box element 4 is placed, and one edge of the cover 6 contacts the same surface S. The ramp angle 9 engages the upper edge 30 of the box element, thereby preventing the cover 6 from sliding relative to the box element 3.

[0128] like Figure 3-5 As shown, the ramp angle 9 can be a notch 57 formed in the downward-facing edge 56 of the cover support wall 55 of the cover 6.

[0129] In principle, in alternative embodiments, the downward-facing edge 54 of the cover 6 can be the outer peripheral edge 50 of the cover 6, in which case it must be formed on the downwardly extending flange of the cover. However, in some embodiments, and as illustrated above, the downward-facing edge 56 is separated from and parallel to the aforementioned outer peripheral edge 50, for example, within the groove 49 formed inside the aforementioned rolled edge 7.

[0130] In an alternative embodiment (not shown), the ramp angle 8 may be configured as a protrusion extending from the underside 44 of the cover 6. For example, such a protrusion may be a flange, a knob peg, or a knob. Typically, the ramp angle 9 is located near the outer peripheral edge 50. In this case, the protruding ramp angle 9 will be elongated and extend perpendicular to the adjacent edge portion.

[0131] In general, one or more ramps 9 are provided on the underside 44 of the cover 6, such that one or more ramps 9 are configured to engage with a portion of the upper edge 30 of the outer peripheral surface of the box element 3, so that the cover rests against the box element.

[0132] like Figure 5 As shown, the notches 57 forming the ramp angles 9 (formed in the downward-facing edge 56 of the cover support wall 55 of the cover 6) can be provided in pairs, such that each of the two ramp angles 9 in the pair is provided along the parallel edge portions 52, 54 of the cover 6.

[0133] In the implementation plan, the ramp angle 9 may not be formed as a notch 57, but rather as a protrusion extending downward from the lower surface 44 of the cover 6.

[0134] In the implementation scheme, and as in example Figure 5 As shown, the notch 57 forming the ramp angle 9 is provided near the long outer peripheral flange portions 52' and 54' of the cover 6, that is, along and adjacent to the long edge portion of the cover 6. The long edge portion is parallel to the aforementioned longitudinal axis.

[0135] In the implementation plan, the ramp angle 9 may not be formed as a notch 57, but rather as a protrusion extending downward from the lower surface 44 of the cover 6.

[0136] In some implementations, and as in, for example Figure 5 As shown, the notches 57 forming the ramp angle 9 can be provided in pairs at one end of the cover 6 in the longitudinal direction of the cover 6. In an embodiment, the ramp angle 9 may not be formed as a notch 57, but as a protrusion extending downward from the lower surface 44 of the cover 6.

[0137] Furthermore, and also as Figure 5 As shown, the notches 57 forming the ramp angle 9 can be provided in pairs at both ends of the cover 6 in the longitudinal direction. In an embodiment, the ramp angle 9 may not be formed as a notch 57, but rather as a protrusion extending downward from the lower surface 44 of the cover 6. This would allow the user to place the cover 6 as a ramp, regardless of the orientation of the cover 6.

[0138] In some implementations, and as in, for example Figure 5 As shown, the notches 57 forming the ramp angle 9 can be provided in two or more pairs at one end of the cover 6 in the longitudinal direction of the cover 6. In an embodiment, the ramp angle 9 may not be formed as a notch 57, but rather as a protrusion extending downward from the lower surface 44 of the cover 6. This will allow the cover 6 to be positioned at several (two or more) predetermined angles relative to the surface S on which the cover 6 and the box element 3 are placed.

[0139] Furthermore, and also as Figure 5 As shown, the notches 57 forming the ramp angle 9 can be provided in two or more pairs at both ends of the cover 6 in the longitudinal direction of the cover 6. In an embodiment, the ramp angle 9 may not be formed as a notch 57, but rather as a protrusion extending downward from the lower surface 44 of the cover 6. This would allow the user to place the cover 6 as a ramp relative to the surface S at several (two or more) predetermined angles, regardless of the orientation of the cover 6.

[0140] As described above and, for example Figure 5As shown, the rolled edge 7 of the cover 6 may be provided with openings 46. These openings form discontinuous portions of the rolled edge 7 at the longitudinal portion, such that the upward surface 41 of the plate member 40 of the cover 6 extends to the outermost edge of the cover 6 at these portions. At least one pair of openings 46 in the rolled edge are provided in two parallel rolled edge portions opposite to each other.

[0141] When Figure 1 In the illustrated configuration, the discontinuous portion of the rolled edge, i.e., the rolled edge opening 46, allows vehicles, as described above, to pass unrestricted, rolling or sliding down the cover 6 forming the ramp, and reaching the surface S on which the box element 3 and the cover are placed. Such vehicles can be sleds or cars formed from one or more modular construction elements.

[0142] In some implementations, the discontinuous portion of the rolled edge, i.e. the rolled edge opening 46, is provided at the short outer peripheral edge portion 51, 53 of the cover 6.

[0143] like Figure 1 , 2 As shown in Figures 4, 8, 9, 11, and 12, the box element 3 may be provided with a locking element 8, which is configured to be used when the cover is placed on the box element 3 to form, for example... Figure 2 When the box is closed as shown, the lid is secured to the box element 3. These locking elements 8 can be provided on the short sidewalls 21, 23 of the box element 3 as shown, and are configured to engage with the crimp opening 46 in the crimp 7. There is one locking element 8 at each or both opposite short sidewalls 21, 23 of the box element 3. The locking element 8 can be hinged to the sidewall 20 on which it is located, allowing the locking element 8 to rotate from its position detached from the lid to a position where it engages a portion of the lid 6. Therefore, the locking element 8 functions as a clamp or clip. This engagement is located at the crimp opening 46 of the crimp 7. Therefore, the crimp opening 46 can have a dual purpose.

[0144] In example Figure 2 and Figure 3 The diagram further illustrates that the shape and size of the box element 3 and the cover 6 can be designed such that when the cover 6 is disposed on the box element 3, it forms, for example... Figure 2 When the box is closed as shown, the outer surface 50” formed on the outer peripheral flange 50' of the cover 6 is flush with the outer surface 20' of the side wall 20.

[0145] From example Figure 3 and Figure 4It can be understood that when the sidewall 20 of the box element 3 includes a double-wall construction, with an outer wall 26 and an inner wall 27 forming each sidewall 20, a wall opening 29 can be provided in the outer wall 26. This opening 29 can accommodate the locking element 8. This allows the portions of the locking element 8 to be disposed within the outer wall 26, so that the locking element 8 can be installed into the outer boundary provided by the outer surfaces of the box element 3 and the lid 6. This makes the outer surface of the entire assembly smoother. This not only creates a more attractive visual impression but also reduces the risk of injury to the user from being stuck by the protrusions of the assembly 1 when operating the assembly 1. It also allows multiple assemblies 1 of box elements 3 / lids (i.e., box 2) to be stored adjacent to each other.

[0146] like Figure 3 and Figure 4 As shown, each locking element 8 includes a vertically arranged first outer surface 8' and a horizontally arranged second outer surface 8' (when the locking element 8 is in the closed position, the cover 6 is locked to the box element 3, as shown). Figure 2 (As shown).

[0147] Therefore, as from Figure 3 and Figure 4 Understandably, when locking element 8 is in the closed position, the cover 6 is locked to the box element 3 (as shown in the image). Figure 2 As shown), the first outer surface 8' of the locking element 8 is flush with the outer surface 50” of the outer peripheral flange of the cover 6, and is also flush with the outer surface 20' of the side wall 20 of the box element 3.

[0148] In addition, from, for example Figure 3 and Figure 4 It is understood that when the locking element is in the closed position, the second outer surface 8” of the locking element 8 is flush with the upper surface 7” of the rolled edge 7”.

[0149] Figure 8 The combination of box element 3, cover 6 and two modular assembly plates 60 is shown.

[0150] A modular mounting plate 60 on one side 61 includes first connectors 900, 901 arranged in a regular two-dimensional array. The first connectors 900, 901 are in the form of knobs or knob pieces. Such knobs or knob pieces can mate with second connectors 900, 901 arranged in a similar two-dimensional array. The second connectors 900, 902 can be knob receiving openings. The first connectors 900, 901 and the second connectors 900, 902 are configured to be detachably attached to each other in an interference fit. Figure 15A-C illustrates an example of such first connectors 900, 901 in the form of knobs / knob particles and second connectors 900, 901 in the form of knob receiving openings 900, 901, wherein the first connectors 900, 901 and the second connectors 900, 902 are shown on a modular building element in the form of building blocks.

[0151] exist Figure 8 In the illustration, two mounting panels 60 are shown mounted within a panel region A defined by a rolled edge 7, in which case the rolled edge 7 can serve as a frame 202 for the upward surface 41 of the cover 6 on the panel member 40 surrounding the cover 6. In the illustrated embodiment, the panel region A on the upward surface 41 of the cover 6 is a smooth surface, such that the modular mounting panels 60 are loosely disposed on the panel region A.

[0152] The dimensions and shape of the plate region A, formed on the upward surface 41 of the cover 6 and defined within the frame 202 formed by the rolled edge 7, can be designed to surround the modular assembly plate 60 and the modular assembly elements having a two-dimensional array of first connectors 901 and / or second connectors 902. This means that the dimensions of the length and width of the plate region A are in increments of the modular distance M of the modular construction system 100, as described above. Figure 15C As stated above.

[0153] exist Figure 8 In the middle, each of the two building boards 60 includes a plate-shaped body 60', which has an upper surface 61 on which an array of first connectors 900, 901 in the form of knobs / knob particles is formed. Figure 8 The modular mounting plates 60 are identical in shape and size. Each of the two modular mounting plates 60 has a 16×16 array of first connectors 900, 901 (knobs / knob pieces) formed on its upper surface 61. These two modular mounting plates 60 span the width of the plate region A formed on the upper surface 41 of the cover 6 in the aforementioned lateral direction. Therefore, it should be understood that in the illustrated embodiment, the size of the plate region A formed on the upper surface 41 of the cover 6 is designed to have a width of 32 modular distances.

[0154] from Figure 8It is understood that, in addition to the two modular assembly panels 60 on panel area A, four more such modular assembly panels 60 with 16×16 first connectors 900, 901 can be installed between the frames 202 formed by the rolled edges 7. Thus, in this embodiment, the dimensions of panel area A formed on the upward surface 41 of the cover 6 are designed to accommodate a total of six such modular assembly panels 60 with 16×16 first connectors 900, 901. Therefore, in this embodiment, the dimensions of panel area A formed on the upward surface 41 of the cover 6 are designed to have a length of 48 modular distances in the longitudinal direction of the cover 6.

[0155] It should be understood that the dimensions of the plate region A formed on the upward surface 41 of the cover 6 can be designed to accommodate other modular assembly plates 60 having 16×16 first connectors 900, 901. Furthermore, it should be understood that the dimensions of the plate region A formed on the upward surface 41 of the cover 6 can be designed to accommodate other modular assembly plates 60 having different dimensions than those of the first connectors 900, 901. Figure 8 The modular assembly panel 60, with dimensions of 16×16 first connectors 900, 901, is shown. Generally, the length and width dimensions of the panel region A formed on the upward surface 41 of the cover 6 are designed to increment in terms of modular distance.

[0156] Therefore, under normal circumstances, the upper surface 41 and the rolled edge 7 of the cover 6 can be configured to mount one or more modular panels 60.

[0157] The installation of one or more modular building blocks 60 within the frame 202 can be a snug fit.

[0158] When the board area A is shaped to accommodate one or more building boards 60, this means that a set of frame portions 221, 222, 223, 224 of the frame 202 formed by the rolled edges 7 are straight, and the intersections between these frame portions 221, 222, 223, 224 form right-angle corners without any rounded corners, so that block or plate-like modular construction elements can be installed close to the edge in the corners.

[0159] Now for reference Figures 6-8 In some respects, the cover 6 itself can also be understood as a modular building block 200.

[0160] In any case, the cover 6 or modular assembly element 200 includes an assembly plate 201 and a frame 202, the assembly plate 201 being identical to the plate element 40 of the cover 6, and the frame 202 being formed by the rolled edges 7 as described above. Figure 6As shown, the mounting plate 201 / plate component 40 includes four mounting plate edges 210, namely two long mounting plate edges 212 and 214 that are parallel to each other and two short mounting plate edges 211 and 213. The long mounting plate edges 212 and 214 are perpendicular to the short mounting plate edges 211 and 213. The mounting plate edges are connected to the frame portions 221, 222, 223, and 224.

[0161] like Figures 6-8 As shown, in some embodiments, the cover 6 / modular assembly element 200 may include a scale 300 disposed on two long frame sections 222, 224, the scale including markers 301 indicating distance.

[0162] In the illustrated case, scales are provided on both long frame portions 222, 224, but it is understood that in other embodiments not shown, only one of the long frame portions 222, 224 may be provided with such a scale 300.

[0163] In principle, under normal circumstances, the scale can also be set on the short frame portions 221 and 223, or alternatively, the scale can be set on one or both of the short frame portions 221 and 223.

[0164] Therefore, under normal circumstances, this scale 300 or more scales can indicate the length or width of plate area A, or both.

[0165] This will allow the user to determine the position / location of an object on panel area A relative to the frame portion 2 on which the scale is set. Such an object could be, for example, a vehicle as described above.

[0166] For example, when cover 6 is used as a ramp that allows a vehicle to roll or slide, users can compare between tests how far the vehicle must be placed on the ramp to roll / slide a certain distance. Thus, the scale markings allow users to conduct tests, such as for educational purposes.

[0167] The scale 300 can be formed as part of the frame portions 221, 222, 223, 224 thereon. For example, the mark 301 of the scale can be integrally formed with the frame portion, for example when the frame portions 221, 222, 223, 224 are formed of plastic, for example by an injection molding process.

[0168] As shown in the figure, the scale 300 indicates at least the distance in the longitudinal direction of the plate area A.

[0169] The scale 300 is set on the outer surface of the frame portions 221, 222, 223, 224, for example on the upper surface 48' of the top rolled edge wall 48.

[0170] In principle, marking 301 on scale 300 can provide distances in known units of measurement, such as inches or centimeters.

[0171] However, in some embodiments, the scale 300 indicates length or width in increments of the modular distance M of the modular construction system 100 to which the cover 6 forms a part. Alternatively, the scale 300 may use a mark 301 as a numerical symbol to indicate length or width.

[0172] like Figure 7 As shown in the detailed view, scale 300 can indicate length or width in 4-step increments of the modular distance M of the modular building system 100. It should be understood that other integer increments of the modular distance M are possible, such as 2 steps (2, 4, 6, ...), or 5 steps (5, 10, 15, 20, ...), or 10 steps (10, 20, 30, ...).

[0173] like Figure 7 As best shown in the detailed view, in some embodiments, the upper surface 41 of the board member 40 / assembly board 201 may include a line marker 350 in addition to the scale, for one or more marks 301 (numerical symbols) on the scale 300. Each line marker 350 extends perpendicularly to the frame portions 221, 222, 223, 224 on which the scale 300 is placed. Each line marker 350 may be aligned with a numerical mark 301 of the scale 300.

[0174] The line markings 350 can be formed as part of the plate component 40 / assembly plate 201. For example, the line markings 350 of the scale can be integrally formed with the plate component 40 / assembly plate 201 in an injection molding process.

[0175] It should also be understood that the length and width of the plate region A formed by the upper surface 41 of the cover 6 can also be determined by increments of the modular distance of the modular construction system 100 as described above. In such cases, the scale 300 is at least aligned with the increments of the length of the plate region A.

[0176] We note that, also in the embodiment where the scale 300 is not set, the length and width of the plate region A formed by the upper surface 41 of the cover 6 can be determined in increments of the modular distance of the modular construction system.

[0177] It should be understood that, in alternative embodiments not shown, the plate region A formed on the upward surface 41 of the cover 6 can mate with connectors 900, such as first connectors 901 (knobs / knob pieces): these connectors 900 can be integrally formed with the plate member 40. Furthermore, in such embodiments, the length and width of the plate region A formed on the upward surface 41 of the cover 6 are dimensional in increments of modular distances.

[0178] Now for reference Figure 2 , 5 Sections 9 and 1 describe the double-walled structure of the previously mentioned box element 3. This double-walled structure is used to improve the strength and toughness of the box element and is unrelated to the aforementioned design and function of the cover 6.

[0179] Therefore, in another aspect, these objectives are achieved by a box element 3 for a box 2, the box 2 comprising a box element 3 and a lid 6, wherein the box element 3 comprises a bottom wall 10 and a set of side walls 20 extending from the bottom wall 10, and an upwardly facing edge 30 defined on the side walls 20. The lid 6 is configured to be removably attached to the box element 3 to form a closed box 2.

[0180] In one embodiment, the box element 3 includes a bottom wall 10 and four side walls 20.

[0181] Each sidewall 20 of the box element 3 includes an outer wall 26 and an inner wall 27. Furthermore, the outer wall 26 and the inner wall 27 are connected at least by a connecting wall 28. The connecting wall 28 is formed at the upper edge of each sidewall 20. This forms an inverted U-shaped groove 59 between the outer wall 26 and the inner wall 27. This groove opens downwards. The cover 6 can be placed on the connecting wall 28 or on a flange 30' extending upwards from the connecting wall 28.

[0182] This design makes the box element 3 more resilient to forces acting on the sidewalls, such as when a user bumps the box element against an object or accidentally drops it. As a result, the box element is more robust and resilient.

[0183] As also described above, in at least one sidewall 20, a wall opening 29 may be provided in and through the outer wall 26. In some embodiments, such wall openings are provided in two opposing sidewalls 20.

[0184] A locking element 8 is provided in each wall opening 29. The locking element 8 is configured to be hinged within the wall opening 29. The locking element 8 is configured to engage with the cover 6 to lock the cover 6 to the box element 3 when the cover 6 is placed on the box element 3 to form a closed box 2.

[0185] With this arrangement, the locking element can be partially accommodated within the double-walled structure, so that—at least in the closure and locking configuration of the box element 3 and the lid 6—the locking element 8 is flush with the outer surface 20' of the side wall 20 of the box element 3. This not only creates a more attractive visual impression but also reduces the risk of injury to the user from being caught by the protrusions of the assembly 1 while operating it. It also allows multiple assemblies 1 of box elements 3 / lids (i.e., box 2) to be stored adjacent to each other.

[0186] In addition, double-walled structures can provide smooth inner wall sides of 20” because there is no need to stack ribs, and the structure is generally more robust.

[0187] Such wall openings 29 with locking elements can be provided in the opposite sidewalls 20 of the box element 3.

[0188] In some implementations, two separate wall openings are provided in the short sidewalls 21, 23.

[0189] In an embodiment not shown, the internal space 4 of the box element 3 can form a large internal space 4, which is formed between the inner surfaces 20” of the sidewall 20.

[0190] In some implementations and such as, for example Figure 1 , 3 As shown in Figures 4 and 11-14, the interior space can be divided into subspaces by one or more partition walls 80. This allows users to sort and categorize objects stored in the interior space 4, as is known in the art. The interior space 4 can be divided into subspaces by one or more fixed partition walls 81 and / or one or more removable partition walls 82.

[0191] The fixed partition wall 81 can be integrally formed with the box element 3, for example, made of plastic, and formed, for example, by injection molding. Figure 3 and Figure 4 The construction of the fixed partition wall 81 is shown. For example... Figure 11 and Figure 12 As shown, the box element 3 may, for example, be provided with two fixed partition walls and one removable partition wall 82.

[0192] like Figure 12 As shown, each fixed partition wall 81 may be provided with three slide rails 83. The end edge 82' of the removable partition wall 82 is configured to interact with the slide rails 83, such that the removable partition wall 82 can be slid into or out of the slide rails 83 to remove the removable partition wall 82.

[0193] Through such Figure 12 The three sets of slide rails shown allow users to move a removable partition between the slide rail sets to adjust the size of the subspace. Alternatively, if more than one removable partition is available, users can choose to set more or smaller subspaces in box element 3.

[0194] As shown in the figure, removable partition walls 82 can be attached between fixed partition walls 81. It should be understood that, additionally or alternatively, one or more removable partition walls can be disposed between the side walls 20, using, for example, the same set of slide rails 83 as described above.

[0195] Now for reference Figure 3 and Figure 4 It should be understood that the intersection between the bottom wall 10 and the side wall is provided with rounded corners.

[0196] In addition, such as Figure 3 and 4 as well as Figure 1 , 12 As shown in Figures 1 and 14, the intersection between the bottom wall 10 and the fixed partition wall 81 is also provided with rounded corners.

[0197] Furthermore, such as Figure 12-14 As shown, the removable partition wall 82 can also be provided with a rounded corner at its lower edge 82”, so that when the removable wall 82 is inserted between a set of slide rails 83 and abuts against the bottom wall 10, the intersection between the bottom wall 10 and the removable wall 82 is provided with a rounded corner.

[0198] Such rounded corners will prevent or reduce the risk of objects with sharp edges and stored in the box element 3 getting stuck at the intersection between the bottom wall 10 and the side wall 20, the fixed partition wall 81 and / or the removable partition wall.

[0199] In some embodiments, the box element 3 may be provided with an alignment element 70, which is configured to align the two enclosed boxes 2 provided by the combination 1 as described above, one on top of the other, for more stable stacking of the boxes 2. Such an alignment element 70 in... Figure 3 and Figure 4 As shown in the cross-section.

[0200] A set of fixing alignment elements 71 may be disposed on the bottom wall 10 and protrude downward from the downward-facing outer surface 10” of the bottom wall 10. For example, this can be achieved from... Figure 9 The bottom perspective view of the box element 3 is understood. Four fixing alignment elements 71 are arranged such that one of the four fixing alignment elements 71 is located at each corner of the bottom wall 10. Furthermore, the four fixing alignment elements 71 are positioned such that they can interact with an inwardly rolled edge wall 47 facing the upward surface 41 of the cover 6 and extending upward from the same upward surface 41 of the cover 6. Thus, the box element 3 stacked on top of the cover can be held in place by the rolled edge 7.

[0201] It should also be understood that the fixing alignment element 71 is cross-shaped, with its arms aligned with the aforementioned longitudinal and transverse axes. The width of the arms of the cross-shaped fixing alignment element 71 can be designed such that the arms of the cross-shaped fixing alignment element 71 can be tightly mounted between two adjacent first connectors 901 in the two-dimensional array of first connectors 901. Thus, if one or more modular building blocks 60 are arranged on the building area A, the fixing alignment element 71 can be aligned by interacting with the two-dimensional array of first connectors 901.

[0202] like Figure 9 As further shown, a set of mating alignment elements 72 can also be provided on the outer surface 10” of the bottom wall 10. Figure 10 Enlarged display Figure 9 Details. Each of the three mating alignment elements 72 is aligned with one of the possible positions of the aforementioned removable partition wall 82, i.e., aligned between a set of slide rails 83. For example... Figure 13 As shown, the removable partition wall 82 may have a protrusion at its lower edge 82”, which can form part of the mating alignment element 72. When the removable partition wall 82 is placed in a set of slide rails 83, the protrusion forms a mating portion 74 of the mating alignment element 72, and the mating portion 74 protrudes through a groove 11 formed in the bottom wall 10 of the box element 10 and through the groove 11 of the bottom wall 10. This can be achieved in Figure 10 This is seen in the leftmost mating alignment element 72 shown.

[0203] The following implementation plan discloses at least some aspects.
