Description
[0001] The invention relates to a gymnastic and sports apparatus for fastening in a door or wall opening, with two support struts to be arranged vertically between the floor and the door or wall opening, which have receptacles on their inner sides for at least one gymnastic bar to be positioned in a transverse direction to the support struts.
[0002] Such gymnastic and sports equipment is primarily intended for installation in doorways or wall openings of private rooms, such as children's bedrooms, and is known from, among others, DE 199 13 044 A1, US 4657141 A, and US 4772011 A. US 4657242 A and DE 102011110181 B4 also describe similar gymnastic and sports equipment that can be installed in doorways or wall openings and secured there by clamping or tensioning. Thanks to its integration into these doorways or wall openings, the equipment offers the advantages of an exercise or fitness device with a certain degree of stability, without taking up significant space. No frame is required; instead, such an inner frame, consisting of support struts, is detachably attached to the existing door frame or jamb. After installing a gymnastic bar in the lateral support struts, exercises such as pull-ups can then be performed on the bar.Installing a swing set is also remarkably simple. The main disadvantage of existing solutions is that their fastening is inadequate to withstand the lateral forces that occur during use. With increased stress in this direction, there is a risk that parts of the swing set, and consequently the entire swing set, could break free from its fixings. This can lead to significant health problems for users, especially if the structure suddenly collapses.
[0003] The present invention therefore aims to create a gymnastic or sports device that can be safely installed in a door or wall opening with minimal effort and offers a variety of possibilities for installing crossbars or pull-up bars.

[0005] This ensures a reliable and secure connection between the gymnastic and sports equipment, specifically the support struts forming an inner frame, and the door or wall opening, while also protecting the door frame. Furthermore, any type of gymnastic bar can be securely inserted into the recesses provided on the inside of the support struts. Thanks to the guide track, the gymnastic bar, inserted transversely into the support struts, automatically assumes its position and remains permanently fixed there.The gymnastic apparatus according to the invention forms a substructure in such a way that no direct, force-fit tensioning between the crossbar or pull-up bar, which is adjustable in length, and the door frame is necessary.
[0009] A fixed and rotatable rung provides an additional level of safety. Furthermore, it allows for exercises that would be impossible with a potentially rotating bar. Therefore, the use of a pull-up or gymnastic bar with an oval cross-section is recommended, where the width of the guide rail and the smallest diameter of the bar are precisely matched. The corresponding design of the bar and guide rail ensures that the bar can only be inserted in the correct position. The guide rail thus prevents the pull-up bar from rotating.

A particularly suitable guide track is created when the guide track extends initially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the support strut and, after bending, downwards in the direction of the support strut's longitudinal axis. For example, the wooden rungs can be secured against jumping out of the guide by means of a rubber ring that is placed around the rung and the aforementioned bracket. Particular attention in this illustration is paid to the fixing 18 with the threaded insert 59 on the outer side 60 of the support profile 2. On the top 29 of the clamping block 23 there is a self-adhesive covering 28 with a rough surface 61, which provides additional frictional contact with the wall or door opening.The coating 28, in the form of a rubber underlay, is applied over the entire surface in order to increase its anti-slip effect and also to prevent abrasion damage to door frames.
[0027] The stop, which should extend as far as possible over the entire length of a support strut 2 and project at right angles, is in Fig. Figure 6 illustrates how this serves to absorb and transmit shear forces, as illustrated by arrow 43. [0028] A clamping or adjusting angle 31, fixed by a screw connection, is at the center of Fig. 7. The elongated hole 35 allows almost any desired distance to be bridged, thus enabling highly variable fastening. This is shown in Fig. 7 A clamping angle 31 with two webs 33, 62 of different lengths. The shorter web 33 on the side 32 of the support strut 2 opposite the stop 30 is longer than the depth of the support strut 2 and rests directly on the frame cladding 56, which, together with the frame body 55 and frame cladding 44, forms the frame for the wall 45. In the case of a lateral shear force acting from one side from the direction of the door or wall opening, symbolized by the arrow 46, this force is absorbed by the short web 33 and transferred either directly or via the door frame 55 to the masonry 45.

[1] Gymnastics and sports equipment (1) for fastening in a door or wall opening, comprising two support struts (2, 3) arranged vertically between the floor and the door or wall opening, which have receptacles (5-8) on their inner sides (4) for at least one gymnastic bar (9) to be positioned transversely to the support struts (2, 3), wherein the support struts (2, 3) are each equipped at their upper end (25, 26) with a height-adjustable clamping block (23, 24) for adjusting them between the floor and the door or wall opening, wherein the clamping block (23, 24) is each fixed at the upper end (25, 26) of the associated support strut (2, 3) by means of a pair of fastening rods (21, 22) designed as threaded rods (49, 50) and anchored in the clamping block or in the support strut, and the height of the clamping block (23, 24) is adjustable by rotating one nut that interacts with the threaded rod.
