Description

[0001] The invention relates to fastening means for a battery unit according to the preamble of claim 1.

[0002] DE 10 2013 216 555 A1 and JP H10 - 129 277 A each disclose the subject matter of the preamble of claim 1.

[0003] DE 10 2012 208 622 A1 describes a reinforced frame structure for a vehicle. The frame structure includes a frame part with a first part and a pair of wall parts extending therefrom. A first reinforcement is rigidly coupled to the wall parts, and the first part, the wall parts, and the first reinforcement together define a housing.

[0004] DE 10 2010 050 826 A1 relates to an arrangement of at least one traction battery in an electrically powered motor vehicle, wherein the battery is mounted in a battery box between the axles of the motor vehicle and between longitudinally extending side sills on the underbody of the vehicle body, and at a defined distance from the sills. Effective protection of the traction battery in the event of a side impact of the motor vehicle is achieved by additionally protecting the battery from damage by means effective in the event of a side impact.

[0005] EP 2 506 336 B1 discloses a connection of a battery or its housing in a hollow profile by means of screws in threaded holes, which is positioned in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. Furthermore, EP 2 070 754 B1 discloses a fastening element for a high-voltage battery in an electric vehicle, which is positioned within a longitudinal member. The fastening element has a screw opening between two plate elements, through which a fastening means is inserted from below.

[0006] The object of the invention is to provide a fastening means for a battery unit, in particular for a high-voltage battery in a vehicle body, which ensures secure fastening with targeted kinematics.

[0007] This object is achieved according to the invention by the features of claim 1. Further advantageous features are contained in the subclaims.

[0008] The main advantages achieved by the invention are that a battery unit, in particular a high-voltage battery, is securely held to the longitudinal member of the vehicle body by means of insert elements as fastening means. Furthermore, the arrangement of the insert elements in the longitudinal member ensures targeted guidance in the event of a crash. This is achieved according to the invention in that the fastening means consist of insert elements that are arranged in a form-fitting manner within the longitudinal member and have an integrated threaded bushing for securing the battery unit to the longitudinal member via a threaded screw.

[0009] In particular, the insert element consists of an elongated web part screwed to a lower profile wall of the longitudinal member, to which a U-shaped bent end part is connected at the end, in which the threaded bushing is embedded.

[0010] To enable longitudinal movement, the insert element has lateral slide-in rails that are inserted into corresponding U-shaped receptacles in the beam and arranged so that they can be moved longitudinally. Thus, according to the invention, the insert element is firmly screwed to the longitudinal beam on the one hand, and on the other hand, due to its arrangement in the U-shaped receptacles of the beam, it can be guided in a targeted manner with a predetermined deformation path, for example, in the event of a crash.

[0011] In particular, the invention provides that the threaded bushing is held stationary in the web part of the insert element and extends vertically and the battery unit can be fastened from below in the direction of the arrow via the threaded screw.

[0012] According to the invention, it is further provided that, for example, at least two insert elements are arranged in each longitudinal member and are secured to the end of the member with threaded bushings positioned at the free ends of the member. The number of insert elements depends on the local conditions, so that only three insert elements can be used in total. Instead of being arranged in the longitudinal members, the insert elements can also be arranged in the cross members of the vehicle body.

[0013] When connected, the insert elements form a dimensionally stable unit with the longitudinal members, allowing the battery unit to be guided in the U-shaped mounts of the support in the event of a crash. Thus, the U-shaped mounts provide a positive fit for the insert elements on the perimeter, while also allowing the insert elements to move in a specific direction.

[0014] An embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the drawings and is described in more detail below.

[0015] They show: Fig. 1 a perspective view of a longitudinal member with integrated insert element, Fig. 2 another perspective view of the longitudinal member with the insert element seen from another side and Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 representations of the insert element seen from different sides.

[0016] For securing a battery unit 1, in particular for a high-voltage battery in a vehicle body, fastening means 2 are provided, which are preferably arranged in longitudinal members 3 or cross members of the vehicle.

[0017] The fastening means 2 consist of so-called insert elements 4, which are arranged in a form-fitting manner within the longitudinal member 3 and are screwed to it at the fastening points 5 and 6. A fixed threaded bushing 7 is provided on the insert element 4 for securing the battery unit 1 via a threaded screw, which is not shown in detail.

[0018] The insert element 4 comprises an elongated web part 9 screwed to a lower profile wall 8 of the longitudinal member 8 at the fastening points 5, 6. Adjoining this is a U-shaped bent end part 10 in which the threaded bushing 7 is embedded.

[0019] The insert element 4 has lateral insertion strips 11 which are inserted into corresponding, U-shaped receptacles 12 of the longitudinal member 3 and are arranged so as to be displaceable in the longitudinal direction L.

[0020] The threaded bushing 7 is secured in the web portion 9 of the insert element 4 and extends vertically upwards. From below in the direction of arrow P, the battery unit 1 can be connected to the longitudinal member 3 or to a cross member via the inserted threaded screw.

[0021] Preferably, at least two insert elements 4 are arranged in each longitudinal member 3, which are each fastened to the end of the longitudinal member 3 with threaded bushings 7 positioned at the free ends of the longitudinal member 3.

[0022] The insert elements 4 form a dimensionally stable structural unit with the longitudinal member 3 in the connected state, wherein the battery unit 1 can be displaced in a targeted manner in the U-shaped receptacles 12 of the longitudinal member 3 in the event of a crash.
