Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a motor vehicle with an instrument panel.
[0002] Electrical insulation of current-carrying components located in motor vehicles is known in principle, as from DE 39 00 321 C1 and DE 41 18 490 C1.
[0003] US 2010 / 0 264 276 A1 discloses a mounting system for temporarily holding a device close to an instrument panel while work is being carried out and before the device is permanently attached to the instrument panel. The mounting system comprises an essentially L-shaped bracket with a catch-tab section at one distal end that passes through an opening in the instrument panel and engages in a catch slot to temporarily hold the device.
[0004] Support structures made of electrically conductive materials, such as metal, are already known to exist in motor vehicles. One such support structure is, for example, a component of the cockpit module. In this case, the cockpit module's support structure accommodates various components, such as the instrument panel, or is itself a component of the instrument panel. Electrical devices are located within the instrument panel and must be insulated from the electrically conductive support structure. A head-up display is one such example of such an electrical device.
[0005] Insulation can be achieved, for example, with a plastic or an adhesive. When using support structures made of, for example, magnesium die-casting, fasteners or mounting sections for electrical devices can be bonded directly. Extensive surface pretreatments of the magnesium die-cast support structures are required to ensure proper adhesion of the adhesive.
[0006] The adhesive applied between the supporting structure and the electrical device attached by the adhesive also undesirably influences the vibration between the supporting structure and the electrical device attached by the adhesive due to its elasticity.
[0007] The object of the invention is to create a motor vehicle with a supporting structure in which the fastening and insulation of electrical devices in the supporting structure is simplified.
[0008] This problem is solved by the features of claim 1.
[0009] A motor vehicle according to the invention has a support structure for arranging at least one electrical device, wherein the electrical device is insulated from the support structure. Furthermore, the support structure is provided with a mounting section which has a mounting surface for a mounting section or the like of the electrical device.
[0010] Advantageously, a ceramic fastening component is cast into the mounting section of the support structure. In another advantageous embodiment, the ceramic fastening component is secured in the mounting section of the support structure by means of a positive fit, for example, via a screw connection or a clip connection. The ceramic fastening component advantageously has a receiving opening for the positive-locking attachment of the electrical device.
[0011] In an advantageous embodiment, the supporting structure is a die-cast component made of a light metal, such as magnesium, aluminum, or light metal alloys.
[0012] The ceramic fastening component is advantageously arranged directly during the production of the die-cast component of the supporting structure.
[0013] In an advantageous embodiment, the ceramic fastening component is subsequently installed in the supporting structure.
[0014] The positive locking connection of the ceramic fastening component in the fastening section of the supporting structure is advantageously achieved via a screw connection or a clip connection.
[0015] Advantageously, the supporting structure incorporates a receiving opening with an internal thread. The ceramic fastening component has an external thread that can be screwed into the internal thread of the receiving opening in the supporting structure.
[0016] In an advantageous embodiment, the positive locking fastening of an electrical device in the receiving opening of the ceramic fastening component is achieved via a plug connection, a screw connection, or a clip connection.
[0017] One embodiment of the invention is described below with reference to the Fig. 1. Described as an example.
[0018] The Fig. Figure 1 shows a perspective view of a partially depicted arm 3 of a support structure 2 of a motor vehicle. The support structure 2 is, for example, the support structure for an instrument panel or a component thereof. A flat mounting surface 5 for a mounting element (not shown) of an electrical device is formed on the arm 3 of the support structure 2.
[0019] In one embodiment, the supporting structure 2 is a die-cast component made of a light metal, for example magnesium or aluminum or an alloy of the aforementioned materials.
[0020] During the production of the arm 3 of the supporting structure 2, which is designed as a light metal die-cast component, a ceramic fastening component 6 is attached in the die-casting mold.
[0021] The ceramic fastening component 6 is overmolded by the liquid metal and thereby fixed in its position in the supporting structure 2 after the metal has hardened.
[0022] In another embodiment, the arm 3 of the support structure 2 is also made of a light metal or of metal. A through-hole with an internal thread is subsequently formed on the mounting surface 4. The ceramic mounting component 6 has a corresponding external thread and can be screwed into the internal thread of the arm 3.
[0023] The ceramic mounting component 6 has a receiving opening 7 for the positive-locking attachment of the electrical device. A mounting section of the electrical device (not shown) can be attached via the receiving opening 7 of the ceramic mounting component 6, for example, using a screw connection. The ceramic mounting component 6 allows for the attachment and simultaneous insulation of another component.
