Description

[0001] The invention relates to a device for fastening an electrical device according to the preamble of claim 1, in particular for fastening an electrical sensor or an electrical proximity switch, with a receiving opening for receiving a connection piece of the electrical device and with a pivoting lever for fixing the connection piece in the receiving opening, wherein the pivoting lever can be pivoted into a locking position and an open position and the pivoting lever has a shaft journal with two bores.

[0002] Electrical devices such as sensors or proximity switches often have a connector. These devices are supplied with power via the connector and can communicate with a higher-level control unit via the connection.

[0003] DE 199 00 876 C1 discloses a fastening device with a pivoting lever for clamping an electrical device, wherein the clamping element has a bead-like bulge with which the device is clamped.

[0004] DE 203 01 144 U1 discloses a fastening device for holding an electrical device, which has a pivoting lever with a protruding, curved wedge, wherein the wedge is designed for clamping and for partially positive engagement with a recess of a device socket.

[0005] Clamping and fixing devices is considered disadvantageous because it creates forces that act on the device. These forces can cause damage to the device and its casing, for example through fine hairline cracks, and subsequently lead to leaks. Furthermore, the effect of force can damage the surface to such an extent that a coating, for example, is destroyed and / or rendered ineffective. In particular, if the lever is made of a solid, partially hardened material and comes into contact with softer casing materials and coatings during clamping, the softer materials can be damaged. In addition, the production of metallic parts with bead-like or wedge-shaped clamping geometries is complex and expensive. If, on the other hand, the lever is made of a heat-sensitive material, such as plastic, the lever under tension can relax under the influence of heat and lose its clamping effect due to deformation.

[0006] A disadvantage of the aforementioned state of the art is that the locking mechanism can be released from the locked position due to shocks and vibrations, thus rendering the device's sensor function ineffective, for example, in an automation system. This compromises the safety of such a system.

[0007] Furthermore, EP 2 985 573 A1 discloses a fastening device with two spring-loaded sliders, wherein the fixing slider is held by the locking slider.

[0008] A measuring head holder is known from DE 199 02 781 A1 and a device for fastening containers is known from DD 1 33 314 A1.

[0009] The complex design and the large number of parts required to manufacture such a mounting device are considered disadvantages. Sliders can wear out and jam due to dirt, causing the mount to malfunction and the device to no longer be clamped properly.

[0010] One object of the invention is to provide a simple, improved fastening device with which safety-critical electrical devices such as sensors or proximity switches can be reversibly fastened quickly and reliably. The device should ensure secure fastening under vibration and shock loads. Furthermore, the fastening state (open / closed) should be visually recognizable by an operator. Furthermore, the fastening device should be manually operated without tools.

[0011] The object is achieved according to claim 1 by a device for fastening an electrical device, wherein the device consists of a base body and a locking pivot lever, the base body has a receiving opening for receiving a connection piece of the electrical device, the pivot lever is introduced into a bore of the base body and the pivot lever is pivotable about the bore axis into a locking position and an open position.

[0012] Furthermore, the pivot lever has a shaft journal with two recesses which are arranged offset around the journal, wherein one recess is at least as large as the receiving opening and the other recess is designed over at least part of its recess surface for positive engagement with a geometry provided in the connecting piece when the pivot lever is pivoted into the locking position.

[0013] The electrical device is preferably a sensor or a sensor housing with a sensor integrated in the housing.

[0014] Because the fastening device consists of only two parts, a base body and a pivoting lever, the device is simple and cost-effective to manufacture.

[0015] Clamping principles are known from the state of the art which exert a force (possibly transmitted by a bead, a wedge or a slider) on the device to be clamped.

[0016] According to the invention, no clamping forces act on the device when the device socket is locked, as the locking of the device socket in the device occurs solely through positive locking. This has the advantage over the prior art that the device is not damaged or jammed by holding forces when held, as no holding force acts on the device. For this purpose, the pivoting lever has recesses and is positioned in the base body so that the pivoting lever completely exposes the receiving opening in the open position, and securely locks the device in the locked position and locks it with a positive locking mechanism.

[0017] According to the invention, the shaft journal has recesses in the form of bores. Bores are easier to manufacture than recesses in the form of an elongated hole, a rectangle, or another geometric or organic shape. In addition, the bores are aligned with one another so that the respective axes of the bores lie in one plane. For this purpose, the bores are arranged offset around the journal, e.g. offset by 90°. One of the bores is at least as large as the receiving bore and the other bore is smaller. Furthermore, the smaller bore is designed over at least part of the bore surface for positive engagement with a geometry provided in the connecting piece when the pivot lever is pivoted into the locking position.

[0018] The radial distribution of the two holes around the circumference of the shaft journal means that in the open position the pivot lever completely exposes the receiving opening and the device can be inserted into the receiving opening; and that in the locking position the pivot lever is rotated such that the pivot lever locks the inserted device via the outer contour of the hole, i.e. via the bore surface, with a geometry provided in the connecting piece. For this purpose a matching geometry, a counter contour to the recess shape, is provided in the connecting piece, which forms a positive locking position with the pivot lever when rotated into the locking position. In the locking position the device is fixed by the pivot lever.

[0019] The pivot lever also features a shaft extension with a locking lug that locks into the base body when inserted into the base body, securing the pivot lever in the bore of the base body against axial displacement. The locking of the two parts, base body and pivot lever, cannot be separated without the aid of a tool or screwdriver.

[0020] In a further development of the invention, the shaft extension is designed such that haptic blocking means are provided in the end positions, which can be perceived by the operator by touching the pivot lever (haptically) when the pivot lever is actuated into one of the end positions. By engaging a knob in a recess, a haptic assembly check is created. For this purpose, the shaft extension has a recess into which a corresponding counter-form engages, which is arranged at the end positions on the base of the base body. The locking mechanism secures and blocks the pivot lever in the end positions (open / closed). Compared to a locking pivot lever according to the prior art, the pivot lever according to the invention offers better fixation, since the locking in the end positions ensures better security against vibration and shock loads of the fastening device. This effectively prevents the swivel lever from coming loose from its end positions under vibration and shock loads.

[0021] The invention is explained in more detail below using exemplary embodiments with reference to the drawings.

[0022] They show schematically: Fig. 1a shows a perspective view of a device according to the invention for fastening an electrical device; Fig. 1b an electrical device with a connection pin matching the fastening device in perspective view; Fig. 2a the fastening device according to the invention according to Fig. 1a in open position; Fig. 2b the fastening device according to the invention according to Fig. 1a in closed position; Fig. 3a a pivot lever according to the invention according to Fig. 1a in a front and a rear view; Fig. 3b the swivel lever according to Fig. 3a in a rotated view; Fig. 4 a detailed view of the shaft extension of the shaft journal according to the invention; Fig. 5 a view of the fastening device according to the Fig. 2b from below.

[0023] In the following description of the preferred embodiments, identical reference numerals designate identical or comparable components.

[0024] Fig. 1a shows an embodiment of the device 1 according to the invention for fastening an electrical device 2 or a sensor housing, in particular for fastening an electrical sensor or an electrical proximity switch, with a base body 10 and a pivoting lever 11, a receiving opening 15 in the base body 10 for receiving a connecting piece 5 of the electrical device 2. The pivoting lever 11 serves to fix the device 2 or the connecting piece 5 in the receiving opening 15, wherein the pivoting lever 11 can be pivoted into a locking position V and into an open position O. In Fig. 1a, the lever 11 is pivoted into the locking position V, so that the device 2 is locked and fixed in the device 1. In the locking position V, movement of the device 2 relative to the fastening device 1 is prevented in all spatial directions. Axial movement relative to the device 1 is effectively blocked by the pivoting lever position (in the locking position V), and radial movement relative to the device 1 is effectively blocked by a locking lug 6 attached to the device 2 engaging with a detent 16 incorporated in the base body 10.

[0025] Fig. 1b shows a sensor device 2 according to Fig. 1a with a connection piece 5. Electrical devices 2 such as sensors or proximity switches often have a connection piece 5. The device 2 is supplied with power via the connection piece 5 and can communicate with a higher-level control unit via the connection 5. The connection piece 5 has a connector sleeve with pins for connecting a mating connector. A plug connection can be established according to industrial standards using the pins and an external thread, here for example an M12 thread. For this purpose, the connection piece 5 has a geometry G and a locking lug 6. The locking lug 6 is attached to a collar and serves to lock with a detent 16 introduced into the base body 10 of the device 1 and as a radial anti-twist device. The collar is larger than the external thread of the connection piece 5. Common plug connections for sensors or proximity switches have thread sizes of M8, M12 or M18.The geometry G is arranged between the external thread and the collar. The geometry G describes a recess in the connecting piece 5 into which the pivot lever 11 is fully or partially inserted in the locking position V and with which a movement of the device 2 out of the device 1 in the axial direction is blocked in the locking position V.

[0026] Fig. 2a shows the fastening device according to the invention according to Fig. 1a in the open position O. The pivot lever is pivoted into the open position. In the open position shown here (end position 1), the through-opening 15 in the base body 10 is completely exposed, allowing a connecting piece 5 to be fully inserted into the opening 15. The base body 10 has detents 16 around the opening 15.

[0027] Fig. 2b shows the fastening device according to the invention according to Fig. 1a in the closed position, in locking position V. The pivot lever is pivoted by 90° (end position 2). The receiving opening 15 in the base body 10 is partially interrupted by the pivot lever 11. In this position, the pivot lever 11 has a recess A2 / B2 which is smaller than the receiving opening 15. If a device 2 is inserted into the device 1 and the pivot lever 11 is brought into the locking position V, the pivot lever 11 locks the device 2 in the axial direction. The base body 10 also has detents 16 around the receiving opening 15. The detents 16 are arranged in 15° increments in order to be able to attach the device 1 rotated relative to the device 1 in this increment. The detent 6 on the device 1 and the collar protrude into the respective recess or detents 16 on the base body 10 in the locking position V. The locking mechanism 16 prevents the device from rotating when locked.

[0028] The Fig. 3a and Fig. 3b show a pivot lever 11 according to the invention according to Fig. 1a in various views. The pivot lever 11 has two recesses A1, A2 / B1, B2, which are arranged offset around the pin.

[0029] In Fig. Figure 3a shows a pivot lever 11 in a front and rear view. The rear view shows the recess surface AF or the bore surface BF, which results from the recess A2 or the bore B2, respectively. This surface corresponds to a geometry G provided in the connecting piece 5. If a connecting piece 5 is located in the device 1 and the lever 11 is pivoted into the locking position V, the recess A2 or B2 is designed, over at least part of its recess surface AF or bore surface BF, for positive engagement with a geometry G provided in the connecting piece 5 and locks the device 2 so that it is axially fixed and locked in the device 1. In the front view, the recess A1 or the bore B1 is shown as a dashed circular area. The area is at least as large as the receiving opening 15.The lever 11 has a shaft journal 12, which represents the axis of rotation of the lever 11.

[0030] Fig. 3b shows the pivot lever 11 according to Fig. 3b in a view rotated by 90°. In this view, the recess A2 or the bore B2 is shown as a dashed circular area. In contrast to the recess A1 / bore B1, the area is smaller. Furthermore, the area is smaller than the receiving opening 15. The shaft journal 12 has a shaft extension 13 with a locking hook, with which the lever 11 locks into the base body 10 when inserted into the base body 10, so that the lever 11 is secured in the bore of the base body against axial displacement against the base body 10.

[0031] Fig. 4 shows a detailed view of the shaft extension 13 of the shaft journal 12 according to the invention according to the Fig. 3a, Fig. 3b. The shaft extension 13 has a locking hook with a recess 20a. The locking hook allows the lever 11 to be locked to the base body 10, so that the lever 11, after being inserted into the base body 10, is rotatably mounted in the base body 10 and is secured against axial displacement by the locking hook. The recess 20a interacts with a counter-shape 20b present in the base body 10 (see Fig. 5) together, so that the lever 11 is protected against shocks and vibrations in the end positions O, V (end position 1, end position 2). A counter-form 20b is incorporated in the base body 10 in the open position O and in the locking position V, so that the lever 11 can be blocked in the end positions O, V. The blocking means 20a, 20b incorporated in the base body 10 and in the lever 11 ensure that the device 2 is not released by vibrations. Furthermore, the blocking means 20a, 20b are designed such that when the lever 11 is actuated, an operator can haptically perceive that the end position O, V has been reached, thus creating a haptic assembly check.

[0032] Fig. 5 shows the fastening device according to the Fig.2b from below. The base body 10 has a pin-like protrusion in each of the end positions O and V, which serves as a counter-form 20b for engaging in the recess 20a. In the end positions O and V of the lever 11, the counter-form 20b engages in the recess 20a of the lever 11. The blocking means 20a and 20b interact in such a way that the lever 11 is protected against shocks and vibrations in the end positions O and V. The lever arm of the lever 11 can be used to rotate the lever 11 from one end position to another, and the fastening device can be opened and locked.

[0033] The advantages of the invention lie in particular in the simplicity of the device 1. The device 1 consists of two parts: a base body 10 and a pivoting lever 11, which can be easily inserted into the base body. The device is simple and inexpensive to manufacture. The recesses in the pivoting lever ensure effective locking of the device without applying a clamping force to the device. The invention effectively prevents damage to the device due to excessive clamping forces.
