Abstract
Description
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a seat belt connection structure and a child seat having the seat belt connection structure.
[0002] Child safety seats and carrycots are common devices used to sit or restrain children of different ages. Child safety seats are designed to keep children safe while driving, limiting their potentially dangerous behavior while in the vehicle, and protecting them from injury in the event of a sudden collision or other car accident.
[0003] Special child safety belts are used in child seats to restrain and secure children. Child safety belts are known, for example, from prior art documents WO 86 / 02050 A1, EP 1 681 961 B1, US 5 074 588 A, DE 10 2013 214 268 A1, and WO 2021 / 114 706 A1. A commonly used child safety belt is arranged such that a shoulder belt, a lap belt, and a crotch strap are provided at the front of the child seat. The shoulder belt is connected to the lap belt and crotch strap by a buckle, and the shoulder belt extends above the child seat to the rear of the seat. An adjustment strap is located at the rear of the child seat. The adjustment belt has one end connected to the shoulder belt at the back of the seat, and the other end extending from the front under the seat by passing through the back and bottom of the child safety seat, allowing the user to adjust the length of the shoulder belt of the seat belt. With this arrangement, if the shoulder belt and the adjustment belt at the back of the seat are connected in a stretchable or extendable manner, the child safety belt will stretch or lengthen to change its length, or it will be deformed when the child impacts in the seat, so the expected protective effect of the seat belt may not be achieved. Therefore, it is necessary to provide an improved connection between the shoulder belt and the adjustment belt, in which stretching or extension at the connection is not allowed, thereby ensuring the protective effect of the seat belt to a greater extent.
[0004] The technical object of the present invention is to overcome the disadvantages of the above-mentioned prior art. The present invention achieves this object with a seat belt connection structure according to claims 1 and 9 and with a child seat according to claim 7.

[0017] Although the disclosure is illustrated and described herein with reference to specific embodiments, the disclosure should not be limited to the details shown. In particular, various changes may be made to these details within the scope of the equivalents of the claims and without departing from the disclosure.
[0018] Directional expressions such as “front,” “back,” “top,” and “bottom” used in this context are for convenience only, and the revelation is not limited to these directions but may be adapted according to the actual situation.
[0019] A child seat according to the present disclosure is described as a whole with reference to the Fig. 1-5. As illustrated, the child seat includes a seat body 110 in which a child can sit. To secure the child in the seat body 110, a safety portion 170 is provided at the front of the seat body 110. In this embodiment, the safety portion 170 includes a first shoulder pad 171, a second shoulder pad 172, a crotch protector 173, and a connecting piece 174 disposed between the first shoulder pad 171, the second shoulder pad 172, and the crotch protector 173.
[0020] The first shoulder pad 171 and the second shoulder pad 172 are connected to a first shoulder strap 120 (i.e., a left shoulder strap) and a second shoulder strap 130 (i.e., a right shoulder strap) on the back of the seat body 110 through a hole on the back of the seat body 110, respectively. Alternatively, the first shoulder strap 120 and the second shoulder strap 130 pass through holes on a backrest of the seat body 110 and extend from the back of the seat to the front of the seat until they are connected to the connecting piece 174, while the first shoulder pad 171 and the second shoulder pad 172 are attached to the first shoulder strap 120 and the second shoulder strap 130, respectively.
[0021] A lower end of the crotch protector 173 is connected to a front lower end of the seat body 110. The crotch protector 173 may be adjustable in length or non-adjustable, and is then connected to a lower end of the seat body 110 in the form of an adjustable length or a fixed connection.
[0022] In one embodiment (see Fig. 11), the child seat is further provided with a waist belt, for example, a first waist belt 175 and a second waist belt 176. One end of the first waist belt 175 and one end of the second waist belt 176 are connected to the left and right sides of the connecting piece 174, respectively, and the other end of the first waist belt 175 and the other end of the second waist belt 176 are connected to the left and right sides of the seat body 110, respectively, so that the first waist belt 175, the second waist belt 176, and the connecting piece 174 form a protective part that laterally surrounds the waist of the child. In another embodiment, the first waist belt 175 and the second waist belt 176 may be extensions of the first shoulder belt 120 and the second shoulder belt 124, respectively.of the second shoulder strap 130, which pass through the connecting piece 174 via the lower ends of the first shoulder strap 120 and the second shoulder strap 130 and are then firmly connected to the left and right sides of the seat body 110.
[0023] The connecting piece 174 may be a buckle that allows the first shoulder pad 171, the second shoulder pad 172, and the crotch protector 173 to be connected and separated. Thus, after the child is seated in the seat, the first shoulder pad 171 and the second shoulder pad 172 are connected to the crotch protector 173, forming a complete safety device at the front of the seat body 110, thereby firmly securing the child.
[0024] At the rear of the seat body 110, a seat belt connection structure is provided, which includes a first shoulder belt 120, a second shoulder belt 130 and an adjustment belt 140.
[0025] The first shoulder strap 120 and the second shoulder strap 130 each extend downward from the holes in the backrest and converge at an intersection point. At this intersection point, the adjustment strap 140 is connected to the first shoulder strap 120 and the second shoulder strap 130 and extends further downward to connect to a lower portion of the rear of the seat body 110. To facilitate seat belt adjustment, the adjustment strap 140 may also extend across the rear of the seat body 110 to the bottom of the seat body 110 and eventually pass through the bottom of the seat body 110 or bypass it and exit at the front of the seat body 110.The adjustment belt 140 is connected to the seat body 110 in a length-adjustable manner, for example, by a connecting buckle, a belt structure with pins and holes, a toothed mechanism, a ratchet, or the like, to provide the function of changing the length of the adjustment belt 140, thereby adjusting the length of the entire seat belt connection structure. Since the first shoulder belt 120 and the second shoulder belt 130 are connected to the first shoulder pad 171 and the second shoulder pad 172 via the backrest, changing the length of the adjustment belt 140 ultimately adjusts the degree of tightening of the safety portion 170 at the front of the seat body 110.
[0026] On the other hand, the connections between the first shoulder belt 120, the second shoulder belt 130, and the adjustment belt 140 are fixed. Thus, after the length of the adjustment belt 140 has been determined, it is generally not permitted to change the length of the entire seat belt connection structure, and thus the degree of tightening of the safety section 170. Therefore, the child is firmly connected to the child seat in the event of an impact.
[0027] With reference to the Fig. 6A to 10B, the connection mode of the first shoulder strap 120, the second shoulder strap 130, and the adjustment strap 140 will be described. For ease of understanding, an upper end of the first shoulder strap 120 (the end connected to the first shoulder pad 171) and an upper end of the second shoulder strap 130 (the end connected to the second shoulder pad 172) are referred to as the first shoulder strap coupling end 124 and the second shoulder strap coupling end 134, respectively. A lower end of the first shoulder strap 120 (the end connected to the adjustment strap 140) and a lower end of the second shoulder strap 130 (the end connected to the adjustment strap 140) are referred to as the first shoulder strap connecting end 121 and the second shoulder strap connecting end 131, respectively. An upper end of the adjustment belt 140 (the end connected to the first shoulder belt 120 and the second shoulder belt 130) is referred to as an adjustment belt connecting end 141, and a lower end of the adjustment belt 140 (the end connected to the seat body 110) is referred to as an adjustment belt adjusting end 144.
[0028] The following is an embodiment of the Fig. 6A-6B. As illustrated, the first shoulder strap 120 and the second shoulder strap 130 have approximately the same length. The adjustment strap connecting end 141, the first shoulder strap connecting end 121, and the second shoulder strap connecting end 131 are sewn together at a fixing area 160 where they intersect. In one embodiment, the overlap length of the sewn portion can range from 15 mm to 100 mm. The first shoulder strap connecting end 121 and the second shoulder strap connecting end 131, as well as the adjustment strap connecting end 141, are generally arranged in a Y-shape. In this embodiment, the extension direction of the first shoulder strap 120 and the extension direction of the second shoulder strap 130 in the fixing region 160 are identical, ie both the first shoulder strap 120 and the second shoulder strap 130 run obliquely in the upper half and gradually transition into a vertical extension in the lower half.In one embodiment, the adjustment strap 140 is inserted between the first shoulder strap 120 and the second shoulder strap 130. However, in other embodiments, the stacking order of the adjustment strap 100, the first shoulder strap 120, and the second shoulder strap 130 can be arbitrarily changed.
[0029] In this embodiment, a seam in the fixation area 160 comprises a rectangular welt seam and a diagonal seam. It should be understood that the illustrated seam is only an example, and the seam may also be present in various forms, e.g., with multiple longitudinal seams, multiple transverse seams, or multiple diagonal seams. In other embodiments, the first shoulder strap 120, the second shoulder strap 130, and the adjustment strap 140 may be connected by a rivet connection, clamping, snap connection, or the like instead of a seam.
[0030] An embodiment of the Fig. 7A-7B. As shown, this embodiment is essentially the same as the embodiment of Fig. 6A-6B, except that in this embodiment, the first shoulder strap 120 and the second shoulder strap 130 are crossed at the fixing region 160. Furthermore, the adjustment strap 140 is disposed above the first shoulder strap 120 (or above the second shoulder strap 130) instead of being located between the first shoulder strap 120 and the second shoulder strap 130. In other words, the adjustment strap connecting end 141 is stacked on one side of the first shoulder strap connecting end 121 and the second shoulder strap connecting end 131, which are fastened to each other.
[0031] An embodiment of the Fig. 8A-8B. As illustrated, the first shoulder strap 120 and the adjustment strap 140 are formed as a single strap, and the second shoulder strap 130 is connected to the single strap formed by the first shoulder strap 120 and the adjustment strap 140. The first shoulder strap connecting end 121 and the second shoulder strap connecting end 131 are connected to each other. In the present disclosure, the first shoulder strap 120 and the second shoulder strap 130 are inherently interchangeable. Therefore, in another embodiment, the second shoulder strap 130 and the adjustment strap 140 may also be formed as a single strap, and the first shoulder strap 120 is connected to the single strap formed by the second shoulder strap 130 and the adjustment strap 140.
[0032] In the embodiments of Fig. 9A-10B, the first shoulder belt 120 and the second shoulder belt 130 are formed as a single belt, so that it is convenient to set up the entire protective structure of the seat belt and increase the strength of the entire protective structure of the seat belt.
[0033] The design of the Fig. 9A-9B will be described. As shown, the first shoulder strap 120 and the second shoulder strap 130 are composed of a single strap, and the adjustment strap connecting end 141 is attached to a central part of the single strap formed by the first shoulder strap 120 and the second shoulder strap 130. The single strap is divided into a first half 122 corresponding to the first shoulder strap 120 and a second half 123 corresponding to the second shoulder strap 130 in the central part of the strap. In this embodiment, the extending directions of the first half 122 and the second half 123 in the fixing region 160 are the same, that is, the first half 122 and the second half 123 extend obliquely in their upper half and then gradually transition to a vertical extension in their lower half.
[0034] Since the first half 122 and the second half 123 extend in the same direction in the fixing area 160 and the adjustment belt 140 extends substantially opposite to the first half 122 and the second half 123 in the fixing area 160, the fixing area 160 is subjected to substantially only vertical tension but substantially no lateral tension when the seat belt connection structure is pulled, thereby reducing the risk of the belt being pulled apart in the fixing area 160.
[0035] The following is an embodiment of the Fig. 10A-10B. This embodiment essentially corresponds to the embodiment of Fig. 9A-9B, except that the first half 122 and the second half 123 are crossed in the fixing area 160 in this embodiment.
[0036] In this way, the first half 122 and the second half 123 extend in a substantially straight line at the rear of the seat body 110, which is advantageous for the manufacturing and joining process of the seat belt connecting structure.
[0037] With the above embodiments, the present disclosure provides a seat belt connection structure that offers a non-stretchable connection mode between the first shoulder belt 120, the second shoulder belt 130 and the adjustment belt 140.
[0038] The present disclosure has the advantage that the first shoulder belt 120 and the second shoulder belt 130 are not easily deformed, and in particular, they are not deformed by tightening the safety portion 170, which would otherwise result in insufficient binding force for the child. On the other hand, the overall length of the safety belt cannot be easily changed, and in particular, the length change rate of the first shoulder belt 120, the second shoulder belt 130, and the adjustment belt 140 is less than 10% when the safety portion 170 is tightened.
[0039] Although the disclosure has been presented with reference to typical embodiments, the terms used are illustrative and exemplary rather than restrictive. Since the disclosure may be embodied in various forms without departing from the spirit and essence of the disclosure, the above-mentioned embodiments are not limited to any of the foregoing details, but are to be interpreted broadly within the scope defined by the claims. Therefore, any variation that falls within the scope of the claims or their equivalents is intended to be covered by the claims.
