Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a recreational vehicle and a furniture conversion system with a profile system. The invention specifically relates to the field of mobile homes and caravans.
[0002] Lightweight panels can be used for furniture conversion (furniture construction) in recreational vehicles. A profile system can be used to install the lightweight panels.
[0003] The following problems can arise with a profile system. The profile system requires the use of uniformly dimensioned panels. This makes adaptation to different applications difficult. Furthermore, weight issues can arise. Furthermore, there may be a dependency on a supplier's specific lightweight panels.
[0004] The object of the invention is to provide a profile system for a furniture fitting of a recreational vehicle, a furniture fitting for a recreational vehicle and a recreational vehicle which enable an improved design and functionality.
[0005] The object is achieved by a profile system having the features of independent patent claim 1, a furniture fitting having the features of patent claim 6, and a recreational vehicle having the features of patent claim 10. Advantageous developments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.
[0006] The object is achieved by a profile system for a furniture extension of a recreational vehicle, in particular a mobile home or caravan, with a corner profile which has projections on a fastening side which, in the assembled state, faces an edge of the furniture extension, wherein the projections of the corner profile are designed such that a clip-on panel of the furniture extension can be clipped onto the projections.
[0007] The clip-on panel is not necessarily a component of the profile system according to the invention.
[0008] Furthermore, the object is achieved by a furniture fitting for a recreational vehicle, in particular a mobile home or caravan, with at least one such profile system, wherein a first panel and a second panel are connected to one another at an edge via a corner profile and wherein a side wall extends at least to the edge.
[0009] Furthermore, the task is solved by a recreational vehicle, in particular a mobile home or caravan, with at least one such furniture extension.
[0010] It is advantageous that the projections are designed as ribs that extend along the entire length of the corner profile. This advantageously allows for a design as a continuous profile including the ribs. Furthermore, the clip-on panel can be advantageously attached.
[0011] The advantage of the corner profile is that it is based on a square profile shape, with the square profile being open towards the edge of the furniture structure to accommodate the mounting side. This open edge allows the corner profile to be used not only with a clip-on panel, but also with a side panel with a molded-on rounded edge.
[0012] It is advantageous to provide a clip-on panel with mounting strips, and the clip-on panel and its mounting strips are clipped onto the projections when installed. This ensures easy installation.
[0013] Furthermore, it is advantageous that the clip-on panel is designed with a rounded edge on its outer side. This allows the clip-on panel to provide a finished edge.
[0014] It is advantageous to provide a side panel with a molded, rounded edge, and to have the rounded edge of the side panel wrap around the corner profile instead of the clip-on panel. This allows for a design without a clip-on panel at this edge. This allows for attractive edges to be created, for example, in particularly visible areas.
[0015] It is advantageous for an edge to be formed at least substantially by a clip-on panel clipped onto the corner profile. In the context of furniture fitting, this can refer to one or more edges. Furthermore, it is advantageous for an edge to be formed at least substantially by a rounded edge integrally formed on the side wall. This can accordingly refer to one or more edges of the furniture fitting. Depending on the design, however, versions with only clip-on panels or only with rounded edges integrally formed on the side walls can also be realized. A combination of these solutions is also advantageous.
[0016] It is therefore also advantageous to have several edges, each with a corner profile. This allows the corner profile to be used universally.
[0017] Depending on the design, one or more of the following features and advantages can be realized.
[0018] A profile system for furniture construction (furniture fittings) with variable side walls can be advantageously implemented. The corner profile can be combined, in particular, with a quarter-round clip-on panel. In a possible installation situation, the quarter-round clip-on panel can be clipped onto the corner profile. This allows a side wall to be enclosed, eliminating the need for edge processing of the panels. This has the advantage that panels of different thicknesses or strengths can be connected via the corner profile. For example, panel thicknesses between 9 mm and 12 mm can be used. A material-independent connection is also possible here. In particular, panels made of wood, plastic, aluminum, as well as panels with a foam core or foamed panels can be used.
[0019] In other installation situations, such a quarter-round clip-on panel can be omitted and shaped lightweight panels can be used instead. This is suitable, for example, for a PU-foamed lightweight panel. The same installation sequence can be used, with the only difference being that the clip-on panel is no longer required.
[0020] Furthermore, significantly increased crash safety can be achieved through a more solid construction and metric connections. Furthermore, faster adjustments and better adaptability to changing delivery conditions are possible. Furthermore, very lightweight materials can be used, since the side walls do not require a load-bearing function.
[0021] Several applications are conceivable. Specifically, a permanently installed cabinetry can be implemented without a separation between the kitchen and the tall cabinet. A permanently installed tall cabinet with a removable kitchen module can also be implemented. In a half-height version, the cabinetry can be installed at a continuous height, although this can be achieved without a tall cabinet. Box systems can also be implemented.
[0022] It can also be used in campervan vehicles.
[0023] Further advantages and details of the invention are explained in more detail with reference to the exemplary embodiments illustrated in the schematic figures. Herein: Fig. 1 a furniture assembly in a partial, schematic sectional view according to an embodiment; Fig. 2 the in Fig. 1 illustrated furniture fittings in an excerpted, schematic, spatial representation; Fig. 3 the in Fig. 1 shown furniture fittings according to a modified design and Fig. 4 the in Fig. 3 shows the furniture fittings according to the modified design in an excerpted, spatial representation.
[0024] Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 show a furniture conversion 1 for a recreational vehicle 2 according to one exemplary embodiment. The recreational vehicle 2 can be configured, in particular, as a mobile home or caravan. The furniture conversion 1 is particularly suitable for such recreational vehicles 2. The furniture conversion 1 has a profile system 3. Typically, several profile systems 3 are provided, which can be configured accordingly. However, the profile systems 3 can also differ, so that the furniture conversion 1 can be adapted to the respective application.
[0025] The profile system 3 has a corner profile 4. The corner profile 4 is provided with projections 7 on a fastening side 5 facing an edge 6 of the furniture assembly 1. The projections 7 of the corner profile enable the attachment of a clip-on panel 17 to the corner profile 4. In this embodiment, a clip-on panel 15 is provided on the edge 6 and clipped onto the projections 7.
[0026] The projections 7 are designed as ribs that extend along an extension 14 of the corner profile 4. The corner profile 4 can therefore have a consistent profile cross-section.
[0027] The corner profile 4 is based on a square profile shape 16. The square profile shape 16 is open towards the edge 6 of the furniture extension 1. This has the advantage that instead of the clip-on panel 15, another mounting option is provided, as can also be seen from Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 is explained.
[0028] The clip-on panel 15 provided in this embodiment has fastening strips 20, 21. The fastening strips 20, 21 are designed such that they expand during assembly, allowing the clip-on panel 15 to be clipped onto the projections 7 of the corner profile 4. A rounded edge 6 is formed on an outer side 25 of the clip-on panel 15. In this embodiment, the outer side 25 of the clip-on panel 15 effectively forms the rounded edge 6.
[0029] Within the scope of the furniture conversion 1, in particular, a side wall 30, a first panel 31 and a second panel 32 are used. In this exemplary embodiment, the panels 31, 32 have different thicknesses. The panels 31, 32 are each connected to the corner profile 4. This makes it possible to combine panels 31, 32 of different thicknesses. Furthermore, the side wall 30 enables an attractive design that is independent of the panel 32. The side wall 30 is incorporated into the furniture conversion 1. In this exemplary embodiment, this is achieved via the plug-in panel 15, which engages an edge 34 of the side wall 30 with a receptacle 33. On the other hand, a receptacle 35 of the plug-in panel 15 is joined to an edge 36 of the first panel 31.
[0030] Fig. 3 and Fig.4 show a furniture fitting 1 of the recreational vehicle 2 according to a modified embodiment. Here, the side wall 30 has a molded, rounded edge 6 formed on a curved section 40 of the side wall 30. As a result, the clip-on panel 15 can be omitted at this point, and instead of the clip-on panel 15, the molded, rounded edge 6 of the side wall 30 serves to form the edge 6 of the furniture fitting 1.
[0031] A plurality of panels 31, 32 and side walls 30 can be used to realize the furniture extension 1 using multiple corner profiles 4. Depending on the location, a clip-on panel 15 or a rounded edge 6 molded onto the side wall 30 can be used. This allows for multiple edges 6 to be provided, each of which can be used with a corner profile 4 of the furniture extension 1.
[0032] The invention is not limited to the described embodiments.
