Description
The present invention relates to a hot water storage tank.A hot water storage device typically has a storage container and an electrically operated heating unit. The hot water storage device has a cold water connection as an input connection and a hot water connection as an output connection as well as electrical connections for the electrical heating unit.EP 3 315 872 A2 shows a hot water storage device with a storage container with a cold water connection as well as a hot water connection and an electrical heating flange. The electrical connections and the hot water connection and the cold water connection are provided in the lower region of the hot water reservoir and can be part of a heating flange.It is an object of the invention to provide a hot water storage tank with an improved spray protection.This object is achieved by a hot water storage device according to claim 1.Thus, a hot water storage device is provided with a storage container, a cold water connection, a hot water connection and an electrical connection space. The electrical connection space is formed by a storage container base made of plastic and by a cover made of plastic. The cover has a cover recess with connection sides. The storage floor has a floor portion with two floor sides. At the transition between the connection sides and the bottom sides, a labyrinth is formed. The bottom sides include first and second bottom webs with a bottom recess therebetween. The terminal sides include first and second cover webs with a cover recess therebetween. The first bottom web is received in the cover recess and the second cover web is received in the bottom recess. The labyrinth is formed by the first and second bottom webs with the bottom recess therebetween and by the first and second cover webs with the cover recess therebetween.This ensures that splash protection according to IP 25 is achieved even in the region between the floor portion and the cover.Furthermore, the configuration of the labyrinth makes it possible to ensure that the cover, when it is fastened to the storage floor or another part of the hot water storage unit, for example, by means of screws, cannot be removed in a non-destructive and intentional manner. This makes it possible to prevent unauthorized removal of the cover and any intervention in the electrical connection space.The labyrinth can thus represent a mechanical safety device against unauthorized removal of the cover.In one aspect, a protrusion is disposed on the first cover web. The electric connection space 200 may be provided at the lower end of the heat storage 10. The storage container 100 may be arranged on a storage floor 210 made of plastic. The storage floor 210 forms an upper end or the ceiling of the electric connection space 200, and the cover 200 made of plastic closes the electric connection space 200, for example, downward and sideways. The electrical connection space 200 is therefore substantially surrounded by a plastic housing.Optionally, a display 14 can be provided in the region of the electrical connection space 200.
