Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a locking device according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0002] A locking device of the type mentioned above is known from document DE 100 45 224 A1. This locking device, which is used as a cover for a vehicle lock bearing a trademark symbol, consists of a locking mechanism and a cover, the cover having a bearing with a pivot axis and a lid rotatably mounted in the bearing about the pivot axis and providing access to the locking mechanism. In this design, the pivot axis is pin-shaped and, as far as can be seen, is presumably inserted from the side during assembly of the locking device through an opening on the one hand in the locking mechanism and through an opening on the other hand in the cover, in order to fix the two parts together.
[0003] The invention is based on the objective of improving a locking device of the type mentioned above. In particular, a locking device that is particularly easy to assemble is to be created.
[0004] This problem is solved by a locking device of the type mentioned at the outset by the features listed in the characterizing portion of claim 1.
[0005] According to the invention, the bearing has a feed area leading to the axis of rotation and the cover has a counter bearing suitable for the bearing, wherein the counter bearing is designed to be inserted into the area of the axis of rotation or to be withdrawn from the area of the axis of rotation in a relative position of the cover to the bearing via the feed area.
[0006] In other words, the solution according to the invention is characterized by the fact that the mounting or dismounting of the cover on or from the covering device is possible simply by inserting or pulling out the cover, wherein the axis mentioned in the prior art cited at the outset is formed in the solution according to the invention by the interaction of bearing and counter bearing.
[0007] Other advantageous embodiments of the solution according to the invention, which is particularly preferably intended for heating appliances, are set out in the dependent claims.
[0008] The closure device according to the invention, including its advantageous further developments according to the dependent claims, is explained in more detail below with reference to the graphic representation of various exemplary embodiments.
[0009] It shows each one from a perspective Fig. 1 in rear view a first embodiment of the closure device according to the invention with a cover that can be inserted from the rear before assembly with the bearing; Fig. 2. In rear view, the solution according to Fig. 1 with the lid fitted and the entire device in the open position; Fig. 3 in front view the solution according to Fig. 2 with the lid open, including the locking mechanism and the surface; Fig. 4 in front view a second embodiment of the closure device according to the invention with a cover that can be inserted from above before assembly with the bearing; Fig. 5 in front view the solution according to Fig. 4 with lid attached; Fig. 6 in front view the solution according to Fig. 5 with the lid open, including the locking mechanism and the surface; Fig. 7 in front view the solution according to Fig. 6 (and also according to Fig. 3) with the lid closed; Fig. 8 in rear view the solution according to Fig. 6 with the lid open; Fig. 9 in front view a third embodiment of the closure device according to the invention with a cover that can also be inserted from above before assembly with the bearing; Fig. 10 in front view the solution according to Fig. 9 with lid attached; Fig. 11 in front view the solution according to Fig. 10 with the lock mechanism and the surface; and Fig. 12 in rear view the solution according to Fig. 11.
[0010] The locking device shown in the figures, preferably intended for a heating appliance, consists, and this applies to all embodiments, of a locking mechanism 1 and a cover 2, wherein the cover 2 has a bearing 2.1 with a pivot axis 2.2 and a cover 2.3 rotatably mounted in the bearing 2.1 about the pivot axis 2.2 and determining access to the locking mechanism 1. The term "determining" expresses that the locking mechanism 1 can be operated when the cover 2.3 is open, but not when the cover 2.3 is closed.
[0011] Essential for the closure device according to the invention, and this also applies to all embodiments shown, is that the bearing 2.1 has a feed area 2.1.1 leading to the axis of rotation 2.2 and the cover 2.3 has a counter bearing 2.3.1 matching the bearing 2.1, wherein the counter bearing 2.3.1 is designed to be inserted into, preferably in a single, relative position of the cover 2.3 to the bearing 2.1 via the feed area 2.1.1 either up to the area of the axis of rotation 2.2 or to be withdrawn from the area of the axis of rotation 2.2.
[0012] In procedural terms, the solution according to the invention is characterized in that the cover 2.3 with its counter bearing 2.3.1 is first guided to the bearing 2.1 by a translational movement (which in the first embodiment is perpendicular and in the second and third embodiments is parallel to the axis of rotation 2.2) and the counter bearing 2.3.1 is positioned there in the relative position in the bearing 2.1. Furthermore, it is preferably provided that the cover 2.3 with its counter bearing 2.3.1 located in the bearing 2.1 is brought into a cover-closing position covering the locking device 1 by a rotational movement, thereby closing the bearing.
[0013] In more detail, the bearing 2.1 is preferably provided on a closure shell 2.4 with an interior 2.4.1 that is inaccessible from the outside when the lid 2.3 is closed. Conversely, it is preferably provided that the locking mechanism 1 is accessible via the interior 2.4.1 of the closure shell 2.4 when the lid 2.3 is open.
[0014] With regard to the materials used, it is preferably provided that either the closure shell 2.4 and / or the lid 2.3 are made of plastic.
[0015] As from the Fig. 1, Fig. 2, Fig. 3, Fig. 6, Fig. 7, Fig. 8, Fig. 11 and Fig. As can be seen in Figure 12, in all embodiments it is further preferably provided that the cover 2 has a flat surface 2.5 on one side and an opening area 2.5.1 provided on the surface 2.5, which, when the cover 2.3 is closed, is flush with the cover 2.3 and accommodates the locking device 1. It is particularly preferred that the cover 2.3 and / or the opening area 2.5.1 optionally have a rectangular shape. Furthermore, to allow good access to the locking device 1, it is preferably provided that the cover 2.3 is designed to pivot by more than 90° relative to the cover 2.
[0016] Regarding the aforementioned lock mechanism 1, it should also be noted with reference to Fig. 8 preferably provided that this has a rotating section 1.1 which is rotatable about an axis of rotation, preferably with a key, and a locking section 1.2 which is arranged on the rotating section 1.1 and which is rotatable together with it.
[0017] Furthermore, in both embodiments according to the Fig. 1 to 8 preferably at the aforementioned opening area 2.5.1 next to the closure shell 2.4, a through-opening 2.5.2 for the cover 2.3 is provided. In the first embodiment according to the Fig. In sections 1 to 3, this through-opening 2.5.2 can also be referred to as a through-hole. The through-opening 2.5.2 is an opening for the cover 2.3 on the cover device 2, while the feed area 2.1.1 ends at the axis of rotation 2.2.
[0018] Furthermore, in the embodiment according to the Fig. 9 to 12 on the closure shell 2.4 (instead of the aforementioned through-opening), preferably a recess is provided for receiving part of the cover 2.3 in the cover open position. This solution is particularly advantageous if no further view into the interior of the corresponding device is to be permitted or granted via the open cover.
[0019] To limit the opening of the aforementioned pivotability of the cover 2.3, it is further preferably provided that either the through-opening 2.5.2 or the recess is designed as an opening stop for the cover 2.3.
[0020] With regard to the aforementioned (preferably only) relative position, i.e. the position in which the cover can be installed or removed, it is preferably provided, as can also be seen from the figures, that this corresponds to an opening angle of 90° between a front surface of the cover 2.3 and the surface 2.5 of the covering device 2.
[0021] To ensure that the closure device cannot be seen from outside a housing, it is further preferred that the closure shell 2.4 is arranged on a side of the cover device 2 facing away from the surface 2.5.
[0022] It is further preferably provided that the closure shell 2.4 is optionally integrally connected with the surface 2.5 (see the first embodiment according to the Fig. 1 to 3) or as a separate component (see the second and third embodiments according to the Fig. 4 to 12). In a one-piece design, surface 2.5 is preferably made of plastic; in a separate design, it is preferably made of sheet metal.
[0023] With regard to the aforementioned axis of rotation 2.2, which is preferably designed or arranged vertically, it is preferably provided that it is arranged off-center on the cover 2.3. Or, to put it another way: The axis of rotation 2.2 is preferably arranged at a distance of preferably more than 10 mm from a lateral edge of the cover 2.3, preferably from a rear edge of the cover 2.3 that can be pivoted into the cover device 2. As can be seen, this requirement applies to all illustrated embodiments. It has the advantage that the cover 2.3 can easily be set into a rotational movement with the touch of a finger, thereby exposing the locking device 1.
[0024] Conversely, to determine a lid closing position, a stop device 2.3.2 is preferably provided on one side at the bearing 2 and on the other side at the lid 2.3 (see in particular Fig. 6) provided, which ensures that the lid 2.3 remains in a position that precisely matches the surface 2.5 when in its rest position (closed position). This is well from Fig. 7, which further shows that the lid 2.3 is preferably provided with a preferably three-dimensional inscription (here the trademark name of the applicant).
[0025] To achieve the aforementioned rotatability of the cover, it is preferably provided, initially from a broader perspective, that the bearing 2.1 is optionally formed as a cylindrical recess on the cover assembly 2, and that a cylindrical section matching the cylindrical recess is formed on the cover 2.3 as a counter bearing 2.3.1. More precisely, it is particularly preferred that the cover assembly 2 has two cylindrical recesses to form the bearing 2.1, and that two cylindrical sections, each interacting with a recess, are provided on two opposite sides of the cover 2.3 to form the counter bearing 2.3.1. Furthermore, it is especially preferred that the axes of the two cylindrical sections, when the cover 2.3 is fully inserted, run precisely along the axis of rotation 2.2.
[0026] To facilitate easy assembly, it is further preferred that a straight feed direction of the feed area 2.1.1 extends either perpendicularly (see the first embodiment) or parallel (see the second and third embodiments) to the axis of rotation 2.2. With regard to the first embodiment, it is more precisely preferred that a feed direction of the feed area 2.1.1 extending perpendicularly to the axis of rotation 2.2 extends from the axis of rotation 2.2 in a direction opposite to the flat surface 2.5 of the cover device 2.
[0027] To prevent the cover 2.3 from unintentionally detaching after being inserted into the bearing 2.1, it is preferably provided, generally speaking, that the counter bearing 2.3.1, except when it is in the aforementioned, preferably only, relative position, is preferably held in the bearing 2.1 by means of undercuts in a form-fitting manner. More precisely, a fixing device 2.6 is preferably provided for rotatably attaching the bearing 2.1 to the counter bearing 2.3.1 on the cover device 2. Further precisely, the fixing device 2.6 is provided to have a releasable or limited-movement fixing element 2.6.1 for holding the bearing 2.1 in the counter bearing 2.3.1. In detail, the fixing device 2.6 is designed to snap into place, i.e., the cover 2.3 is preferably clipped onto the cover device 2 (releasable without damage).
[0028] To ensure that the lid 2.3 has a certain stability, a stiffening structure 2.3.3, preferably a honeycomb or rib structure, is provided on one side of the lid 2.3 facing the locking device 1.
