Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a wiper arm for holding a wiper blade of a wiper device of a motor vehicle, according to the preamble of claim 1. The invention further relates to a wiper device equipped with such a wiper arm. The invention also relates to a motor vehicle equipped with such a wiper device.
[0002] A generic wiper arm is known from DE 10 2018 219 117 A1 and comprises a one-piece carbon body. The wiper arm also has a wiper blade holder formed on the carbon body for securing a wiper blade to the carbon body. Furthermore, the wiper arm is equipped with a wiper arm holder formed on the carbon body for securing the wiper arm to a wiper drive of the wiper system.
[0003] Other wiper arms with a carbon body are known from CN 212 073 966 U and CN 211 252 527 U.
[0004] From DE 10 2014 226 401 A1 a wiper blade is known which has a stabilizing body made of carbon.
[0005] From WO 2010 / 009922 A1 a wiper arm is known which has a spoiler.
[0006] Wiper blades with a spoiler are known from US 2016 / 0 375 867 A1 and US 2012 / 0 030 894 A1.
[0007] From DE 10 2019 208 809 A1 a wiper arm is known which has a maintenance opening through which lines for carrying a washer fluid are accessible.
[0008] The present invention addresses the problem of providing an improved or at least a different embodiment for a wiper arm of the type described above or for a wiper device equipped therewith or for a motor vehicle equipped therewith, which is characterized in particular by high functionality with low weight.
[0009] This problem is solved according to the invention by the subject matter of the independent claim. Advantageous embodiments are the subject matter of the dependent claims.
[0010] The invention is based on the general idea of forming a spoiler and a maintenance opening directly in the carbon body, whereby the wiper arm has additional functions. These additional functions can be taken into account during the manufacture of the one-piece carbon body, whereby no additional assembly effort is required for the integration of these additional functions. The spoiler is configured to generate pressure of the wiper blade against a windshield to be wiped during operation of the motor vehicle equipped with the wiper device, in particular at higher speeds. The maintenance opening is configured such that a component of the wiper device, in particular a component of the wiper arm holder and preferably a spring of the wiping device or the wiper arm holder, is accessible through it.The spring of the wiper arm bracket is configured to generate a preload for pressing the wiper blade against the windshield to be wiped. For this purpose, the spring of the wiper device is located in the area of the wiper arm bracket and, when installed, is connected directly or indirectly to the wiper arm and the wiper drive to generate the desired preload.
[0011] In the present context, a ‘configuration’ is synonymous with a ‘design’ and / or ‘arrangement’, so that the phrase ‘configured so that’ is synonymous with the phrase ‘designed and / or arranged so that’.
[0012] According to an advantageous configuration, the carbon body can have a first longitudinal end, at which the wiper arm mount is located, a second longitudinal end, at which the wiper blade mount is located, and a longitudinal direction extending from the first longitudinal end to the second longitudinal end. The longitudinal direction thus extends along the elongated carbon body and can be straight or slightly curved.
[0013] According to an advantageous embodiment, the carbon body can be configured as a hollow body and have a hollow profile transverse to the longitudinal direction. This makes the carbon body extremely lightweight, while simultaneously being characterized by high rigidity against torsional distortion around the longitudinal axis.
[0014] A further development in which the hollow profile tapers longitudinally from the first longitudinal end to the second longitudinal end is advantageous. This measure reduces the weight of the carbon body. At the same time, the flow resistance of the carbon body or wiper arm is reduced in the area of the wiper blade.
[0015] According to an advantageous embodiment, the spoiler can be formed longitudinally between the wiper blade mount and the wiper arm mount on the carbon body. This allows the spoiler to be relatively large in its longitudinal direction and configured sufficiently efficiently.
[0016] According to another advantageous embodiment, the carbon body can have an outer contour transverse to the longitudinal direction, wherein the outer contour in the area of the spoiler does not protrude beyond the outer contour in the area of the wiper arm mount. In other words, the spoiler is shaped on the carbon body in such a way that it does not protrude beyond the outer contour defined in the area of the wiper arm mount transverse to the longitudinal direction. This makes the spoiler extremely compact and, in particular, does not create a visually disruptive contour on the wiper arm.
[0017] When the wiper arm is installed on the vehicle, the wiper blade rests on a window of the vehicle, preferably a windshield. According to an advantageous embodiment, the carbon body can have an upper side facing away from the window, with the maintenance opening formed on the upper side. This makes the maintenance opening easily accessible for maintenance purposes.
[0018] According to an advantageous embodiment, the carbon body in the region of the wiper blade holder can have a substantially square cross-section, preferably a substantially rectangular cross-section, transverse to the longitudinal direction. In the region of the wiper arm holder, the carbon body can also have a substantially square, preferably substantially rectangular, cross-section transverse to the longitudinal direction. In contrast, it can now be provided that the carbon body in the region of the spoiler has a substantially triangular cross-section transverse to the longitudinal direction. In this way, the integration of the spoiler into the outer contour of the wiper arm or the carbon body is used to reduce the cross-section of the carbon body in the region of the spoiler. The wiper arm presented here is therefore extremely lightweight.
[0019] A wiper device according to the invention for a motor vehicle for wiping a windshield of the motor vehicle comprises at least one wiper blade for wiping the windshield, at least one wiper drive for driving the wiper blade relative to the windshield, and at least one wiper arm of the type described above for connecting the wiper drive to the wiper blade. It can be advantageously provided that the respective wiper blade can be configured as a flat-bar wiper blade.
[0020] A motor vehicle according to the invention has a window, preferably a windshield, and a wiping device of the type mentioned above for wiping the window.
[0021] Further important features and advantages of the invention emerge from the subclaims, from the drawings and from the associated description of the figures based on the drawings.
[0022] It is understood that the features mentioned above and those to be explained below can be used not only in the respective combination specified, but also in other combinations or on their own, without departing from the scope of the invention defined by the claims. Components mentioned above and to be mentioned below of a higher-level unit, such as a device, apparatus, or arrangement, which are designated separately, may form separate parts or components of this unit or be integral areas or sections of this unit, even if this is shown differently in the drawings.
[0023] Preferred embodiments of the invention are illustrated in the drawings and are explained in more detail in the following description, wherein the same reference numerals refer to the same or similar or functionally identical components.
[0024] They show, schematically, Fig. 1 an isometric view of a motor vehicle in the area of a wiper device, Fig. 2 a cross-section of a wiper arm of the wiper device according to section lines II in Fig. 4, Fig. 3 a cross-section of the wiper arm according to section lines III in Fig. 4, Fig. 4 a view of the wiper device in the area of the wiper arm.
[0025] Accordingly Fig. 1 comprises a motor vehicle 1, which is only partially shown here and which can preferably be a passenger car, a window 2, which is preferably a windshield, and a wiper device 3, which is configured to wipe the window 2. The wiper device 3 has at least one wiper blade 4, which is configured to wipe the window 2 and for this purpose rests on the window 2, and at least one wiper drive 5 for driving the wiper blade 4 relative to the window 2. The wiper blade 4 can preferably be configured as a flat bar wiper blade 4. In the example of Fig. 1, the wiper device 3 has two wiper blades 4 and two wiper drives 5. The two wiper drives 5 can be connected to a common drive motor (not shown here), which drives the respective wiper drive 5 to perform the wiping movement. The wiper device 3 is also equipped with at least one wiper arm 6, which is configured to connect the respective wiper drive 5 to the respective wiper blade 4. Accordingly, two wiper arms 6 are also provided here.
[0026] According to the Fig. 1 and Fig. 4, the respective wiper arm 6, which is configured to hold the wiper blade 4 of the wiper device 3 of the motor vehicle 1, comprises a one-piece carbon body 7, a wiper blade holder 8, and a wiper arm holder 9. The wiper blade holder 8 is configured to secure the wiper blade 4 to the carbon body 7 and is formed on the carbon body 7. The wiper blade holder 8 can have a receptacle 10 for inserting a complementary receiving part 11 formed on the wiper blade 4. The wiper blade holder 8 can expediently also have a locking connection 12 for fixing the receiving part 11 inserted into the receptacle 10 to the carbon body 7. In Fig. 4 shows an opening 13 through which a locking element 14 can be actuated to release the locking connection 12.
[0027] The wiper arm mount 9 is configured to secure the wiper arm 6 to the wiper drive 5 and is formed on the carbon body 7. The wiper arm mount 9 can define a pivot axis 15 about which the wiper arm 7 can be pivoted relative to the wiper drive 5. The wiper device 3 can also be equipped with a spring 16, which serves to preload the wiper blade 4 against the windshield 2. In the assembled state, the spring 16 is held and tensioned on the wiper arm 7 on the one hand and on the wiper drive 5 on the other, such that it can generate the desired preload for pressing the wiper blade 4 against the windshield 2.
[0028] The wiper arm 6 presented here also has a spoiler 17 and a maintenance opening 18 on the carbon body 7. Fig. 1, the respective spoiler 17 can be seen on both wiper arms 6, while the maintenance opening 18 is only visible on one of the two wiper arms 6. The spoiler 17 is configured to generate pressure of the wiper blade 4 against the windshield 2, wherein this pressure is generated while the vehicle 1 is moving by the airflow and the flow deflection forced on the spoiler 17. The maintenance opening 18 is configured such that a component of the wiper device 3 can be accessed through the maintenance opening 18. In the example shown, the spring 16 is accessible through the maintenance opening 18. For example, a visual inspection of the spring 16 can be carried out through the maintenance opening 18. In addition, the spring 16 can be hooked onto or unhooked from the wiper drive 5 through the maintenance opening 18 in order to be able to mount or remove the wiper arm 7 on the wiper drive 5.
[0029] The carbon body 7 has a first longitudinal end 19, a second longitudinal end 20, and a longitudinal direction 21 extending from the first longitudinal end 19 to the second longitudinal end 20. The wiper arm holder 9 is located at the first longitudinal end 19, while the wiper blade holder 5 is formed at the second longitudinal end 20. The carbon body 7 is preferably configured as a hollow body, so that it has a hollow profile 22 transverse to the longitudinal direction 21. Fig. Figure 2 shows a cross-section of the carbon body 7 transverse to the longitudinal direction 21 in the area of the maintenance opening 18. Here, the hollow profile 22 is visible in the area of the maintenance opening 18 as well as diametrically opposite to the maintenance opening 18. In contrast, Fig. 3 a cross-section of the carbon body 7 running transversely to the longitudinal direction 21 in the area of the spoiler 17. Here the hollow profile 22 is configured closed.
[0030] According to Fig. 4, it can be expediently provided that the hollow profile 22 tapers in the longitudinal direction 21 from the first longitudinal end 19 to the second longitudinal end 20. At least it can be seen how an outer contour 23 running transversely to the longitudinal direction 21 or a wiper arm width 24 running transversely to the longitudinal direction 21 decreases from the first longitudinal end 19 in the longitudinal direction 21 to the second longitudinal end 20.
[0031] The spoiler 17 is formed on the carbon body 7 between the wiper blade holder 8 and the wiper arm holder 9 with respect to the longitudinal direction 21. In the wiper arm 6 presented here, the integrated spoiler 17 remains within the outer contour 23, which is determined by the areas of the carbon body 7 that lie outside the spoiler 17 with respect to the longitudinal direction 21. As a result, it can be provided in particular that the outer contour 23 in the area of the spoiler 10 does not protrude transversely to the longitudinal direction 21 beyond the outer contour 23 in the area of the wiper arm holder 9. Since the carbon body 7 tapers in the longitudinal direction 21 from the wiper arm holder 9 to the wiper blade holder 8, the outer contour 23 in the area of the wiper blade holder 8 likewise does not protrude transversely to the longitudinal direction 21 beyond the outer contour 23 in the area of the wiper arm holder 9.
[0032] The maintenance window 18 is preferably formed on the carbon body 7 between the spoiler 17 and the first longitudinal end 19, in particular between the spoiler 17 and the wiper arm holder 9, with respect to the longitudinal direction 21.
[0033] The carbon body 7 has, according to the Fig. 2 to 4 an upper side 25 facing away from the disc 2 and a Fig. 2 and Fig. 3, facing the pane 2. The maintenance opening 18 is expediently formed on the upper side 25. According to an advantageous embodiment, according to Fig. 3, it can be provided that a recess 27 is formed on the underside 26 of the carbon body 7 in the area of the spoiler 17, which reduces the cross section and improves the strength of the hollow profile 22 by the steps in the area of the spoiler 17 associated with the recess 27.
[0034] The carbon body 7 has according to Fig. 2 in the area of the wiper arm holder 9 transversely to the longitudinal direction 21 a substantially square cross-section. In the area of the wiper blade holder 8, the carbon body 7 can also preferably have a substantially square cross-section or a substantially square outer contour 23. In contrast, the carbon body 7 according to Fig. 3 in the region of the spoiler 17 transversely to the longitudinal direction 21 has a substantially triangular cross-section or a substantially triangular outer contour 23.
