[0022] As in the Fig. 1 and Fig. As shown in Figure 2, a sound device 1 can be worn on the user's ear and reproduce sound. For example, the sound device 1 can be Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 can be worn on the user's right ear, and a sound device that is left-right symmetrical to the sound device 1 can be worn on the user's left ear. The sound device 1 can be referred to as a portable device 1, an earplug 1, or an earphone 1. The sound device 1 can comprise a housing 10 and a nozzle 20.
[0023] The housing 10 may include a bottom cover 11 and a top cover 12. The bottom cover 11 may face the user's ear canal and include a first part 11a and a second part 11b. The first part 11a may have the shape of a thimble as a whole, and the diameter of the first part 11a may decrease as it approaches the user's ear canal. The second part 11b may extend from the edge of the first part 11a in a direction intersecting the first part 11a and may have the shape of a guitar pick overall. The top cover 12 may face the bottom cover 11, and one side of the top cover 12 may be connected to the first part 11a and the second part 11b of the bottom cover 11. The top cover 12 may have an overall mask shape, and the diameter of the top cover 12 may become smaller the further it is from the user's ear canal.
[0024] The nozzle 20 may protrude from the distal end of the first part 11a of the bottom cover 11 and may be inserted into the user's ear canal. The nozzle 20 has an overall hollow cylinder shape, and the diameter of the nozzle 20 may be smaller than the diameter of the distal end of the first part 11a. An ear tip made of a material such as silicone, urethane, or rubber may be inserted into the distal end of the nozzle 20.
[0025] The sensor 11s can be attached to the first part 11a of the bottom cover 11 and can detect whether the sound device 1 is worn in the user's ear canal. The sensor 11s can, for example, be an IR sensor that uses light in the infrared wavelength range.
[0026] A charging connector 11c can be attached to the second part 11b of the bottom cover 11 and can transmit external power to the battery built into the sound device 1. When the sound device 1 is stored, for example, in a case (not shown) of the sound device, the charging connector 11c of the sound device 1 can be electrically connected to the charging connector of the case, thereby allowing the battery built into the sound device 1 to be charged. The battery can be mounted between an inner support 13 and a support plate 14, which will be described later with reference to Fig. 3 are described.
[0027] A call microphone 12m can be attached to the top cover 12, and a user can make a voice input through the call microphone 12m.
[0028] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 3, the inner support 13 may be connected to the inner surface of the housing 10 while being located at the boundary between the first part 11a of the lower cover 11 and the upper cover 12. The inner support 13 may include a seating portion 13a and a connecting portion 13b. The inner support 13 may divide the interior of the housing 10 into two spaces 10S1 and 10S2. A first space 10S1 may be located between the inner support 13 and the nozzle 20, and a second space 10S2 may be located opposite the first space 10S1 with respect to the inner support 13.
[0029] A transducer 15 may be located in the first space S1, which may be mounted on the seat portion 13a of the inner support 13. The transducer 15 may also be referred to as a speaker 15. The transducer 15 may include a frame 15a, a plate 15b, a magnet 15c, a coil former 15d, a membrane (trembler) 15e, and a rim 15f.
[0030] The frame 15a may have a ring shape as a whole and support the remaining components of the transducer 15. The plate 15b may be connected to the frame 15a between the frame 15a and the seat portion 13a of the inner support 13 and may be supported by the seat portion 13a. The plate 15b may have a round bowl shape as a whole. The magnet 15c may be located opposite the seat portion 13a of the inner support 13 with respect to the plate 15b and may be coupled to the plate 15b. The magnet 15c may have a cylindrical shape overall. The coil former 15d may be located between the edge of the magnet 15c and the plate 15b and may extend along the edge of the magnet 15c. A voice coil may be formed or wound on the outer peripheral surface of the coil former 15d.One side of the diaphragm 15e may be coupled or fixed to the coil body 15d, and the other side of the diaphragm 15e may be supported by the elastic rim 15f. The diaphragm 15e may have a dome shape as a whole, convex toward the nozzle 20, and the rim 15f may have a ring shape to connect the rim of the diaphragm 15e and the frame 15a.
[0031] Therefore, when current flows in the voice coil of the coil body 15d arranged around the magnet 15c, the coil body 15d and the diaphragm 15e can vibrate in the longitudinal direction of the coil body 15d due to the Lorentz force, and the transducer 15 can emit sound.
[0032] As in the Fig. 3 and Fig. As shown in Figure 4, a holder 16 may be located between the transducer 15 and the nozzle 20, and a printed circuit board 17 may surround the holder 16 and the transducer 15. The holder 16 may also be referred to as a microphone holder 16. The printed circuit board 17 may be a flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) 17.
[0033] The holder 16 may include a base plate 16a, a side wall 16b, and a support 16c. The base plate 16a may have an overall disc shape and face the diaphragm 15e of the transducer 15 and the edge 16f. The side wall 16b may protrude from the edge of the base plate 16a toward the transducer 15 and extend along the edge of the base plate 16a. The base plate 16a and the side wall 16b may have an overall round bowl shape. The support 16c may protrude from the base plate 16a toward the nozzle 20 and be located inside the nozzle 20.
[0034] The circuit board 17 may include a first portion 17a, a second portion 17b, a third portion 17c, a fourth portion 17d, a fifth portion 17e, and a sixth portion 17f. The first portion 17a may have a generally annular shape. The second portion 17b may protrude from the outer periphery of the first portion 17a in a direction intersecting the first portion 17a. The third portion 17c may protrude from the inner periphery of the first portion 17a in a direction intersecting the first portion 17a and may be opposite the second portion 17b. The fourth portion 17d and the fifth portion 17e may branch off from the second portion 17b, and the sixth portion 17f may extend from the fifth portion 17e.
[0035] A microphone 18 can be mounted on the third part 17c of the circuit board 17 and can be electrically connected to the circuit board 17. The microphone 18 can be a feedback microphone. The microphone 18 can be referred to as microphone 18.
[0036] As in the Fig. 5 and Fig. 6, the holder 16 can be connected to the transducer 15 below the latter. In particular, the distal end 16bf of the side wall 16b of the holder 16 can be removably inserted into the frame 15a of the transducer 15 and secured thereto (see Fig. 3). In this case, the base plate 16a of the holder 16 faces the diaphragm 15e of the transducer 15 and the edge 15f, but may be spaced apart from them.
[0037] The hole 16h may be shaped to penetrate the central part of the bottom plate 16a of the holder 16 and may face the diaphragm 15e. The hole 16h may be located between the diaphragm 15e and an interior space of the nozzle 20. The hole 16h may be aligned with the diaphragm 15e or slightly offset from the diaphragm 15e. A space between the transducer 15 and the holder 16 may communicate with the outside world through the hole 16h. Here, the side wall 16b of the holder 16 may form part of the boundary of the space between the transducer 15 and the holder 16. A part of the bottom plate 16a in which the hole 16h is not formed may cover the edge 15f of the transducer 15, and the hole 16h may be arranged depending on the diaphragm 15e.
[0038] The support 16c of the holder 16 may include a bent portion 16ca and a support portion 16cb. The bent portion 16ca may be bent from a portion of the bottom plate 16a that defines the boundary of the hole 16h, and the support portion 16cb may be formed in a distal end of the bent portion 16ca. The support portion 16cb may be a plate-shaped member that intersects the bottom plate 16a. A plurality of ribs (no reference numerals) may be formed in the edge of the support portion 16cb. The support 16c may be formed, for example, by cutting and bending a part of the bottom plate 16a. Alternatively, a part of the support 16c (i.e., a part of the bent portion 16ca) may be connected to the bottom plate 16a between the bottom plate 16a and the converter 15 (see Fig. 13).
[0039] As in the Fig. 7 and Fig. As shown in Figure 8, the microphone 18 can be mounted on one surface of the third part 17c of the circuit board 17. The other surface of the third part 17c, which is opposite the one surface, can be connected to the support portion 16cb of the carrier 16c via an adhesive element 17t, e.g., an adhesive tape. The ribs of the support portion 16cb can guide the connection of the third part 17c to the support portion 16cb. The third part 17c can be referred to as the mounting part 17c.
[0040] In this case, the first part 17a of the circuit board 17 may surround the side surface of the side wall 16b of the holder 16, and the second part 17b may be located on the side surface of the frame 15a of the transducer 15. The fourth part 17d may be penetrated by a projection 15t formed in a surface of the frame 15a and may be connected to the frame 15a. The fifth part 17e may be located on the plate 15b of the transducer 15, and the sixth part 17f may extend from the fifth part 17e and be electrically coupled to electronic components embedded in the housing 10 (see Fig. 3).
[0041] Accordingly, the transducer 15, the holder 16, the circuit board 17 and the microphone 18 can be assembled into an assembly or module.
[0042] As in Fig. 9, the nozzle 20 may comprise a nozzle plate 21, a nozzle wall 22, a support rib 23 and a fixing pin 24.
[0043] The nozzle plate 21 may be a flat plate forming the distal end of the nozzle 20, and a plurality of holes may be formed in the nozzle plate 21. The holes of the nozzle plate 21 may be referred to as speaker holes. The nozzle plate 21 may be spaced from the distal end of the first part 11a of the bottom cover 11 (see Fig. 3), and the nozzle wall 22 may connect the edge of the nozzle plate 21 and the first part 11a. The nozzle wall 22 may be in the shape of a hollow cylinder, and the nozzle plate 21 may be inserted into the distal end of the nozzle wall 22. The support rib 23 may be formed on the inner surface of the nozzle wall 22. The fixing pin 24 may protrude from the nozzle wall 22 toward the first part 11a and be inserted into the first part 11a.
[0044] For example, the fixing pin 24 can be ultrasonically fused to the first part 11a, allowing the nozzle 20 to be connected to the lower cover 11. In this case, a connecting portion between the nozzle 20 and the lower cover 11 can be formed smoothly (simple), compared to a case where the nozzle 20 is hook-coupled to the lower cover 11. Accordingly, the sound of the transducer 15 can be easily transmitted from the first part 11a to the nozzle 20.
[0045] As in the Fig. 9 and Fig. As shown in FIG. 10, a recessed portion 11g may be formed on the inner surface of the first part 11a of the lower cover 11. A housing opening 11h may be formed to penetrate the recessed portion 11g and face the nozzle plate 21 of the nozzle 20. That is, the interior of the lower cover 11 may communicate with the interior of the nozzle 20 through the housing opening 11h. The aforementioned fixing pin 24 of the nozzle 20 may be inserted into the hole 11p formed in the recess 11g. A guide groove 11n, which may be in the form of a notch, may be formed on the side wall of the recessed portion 11g.
[0046] The converter 15 and the bottom plate 16a of the modularized holder 16 can be seated on the recessed portion 11g, which has a shape corresponding to the bottom plate 16a. A guide projection 15au can protrude radially from the side surface of the frame 15a of the converter 15 and be inserted into the guide groove 11n. That is, the guide projection 15au and the guide groove 11n can guide the coupling of the module of the converter 15 and the holder 16 to the bottom cover 11.
[0047] With reference to the Fig. 11 and Fig. 12, the transducer 15 and a part of the modularized circuit board 17 may be arranged opposite the nozzle 20 with respect to the transducer 15. The transducer 15 and the modularized microphone 18 may be arranged inside the nozzle 20. The microphone 18 may be arranged inside the nozzle 20 in correspondence with a part 11m of the hole 11h of the bottom cover 11. The third part 17c of the circuit board 17 may be located between the microphone 18 and the support rib 23 in the nozzle 20, and the microphone 18 may be fixed to the third part 17c. The support portion 16cb of the carrier 16c may be located between the third part 17c and the support ribs 23, and the third part 17c may be connected to the support portion 16cb by the adhesive element 17t, e.g., a tape.
[0048] The support rib 23 may be opposite the third part 17c of the circuit board 17 with respect to the support portion 16cb and may support a surface of the support portion 16cb. The support portion 16cb and the microphone 18 may be sandwiched between the support rib 23 and the inner surface of the nozzle wall 22. Accordingly, the position of the microphone 18 mounted on the third part 17c can be fixed.
[0049] In addition, the support rib 23 can be inclined towards the nozzle plate 21 at a certain angle (theta i, see Fig. 13) may be inclined relative to a plane perpendicular to the nozzle wall 22 of the nozzle 20. The support rib 23 may be trapezoidal overall, and the inclined portion of the support rib 23 may be the hypotenuse of the trapezoid. The width of the support rib 23 may decrease as it moves away from the nozzle plate 21 (i.e., as it approaches the transducer 15). Accordingly, the sound transmitted from the transducer 15 to the nozzle 20 may be obstructed as little as possible by the support rib 23.
[0050] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 13, the transducer 15 may be inclined at a certain angle theta t with respect to a plane perpendicular to the nozzle 20. For example, the angle (theta t) may be approximately 6.9 degrees. The sound of the transducer 15, which is reproduced according to the vibration of the diaphragm 15e, may be emitted to the outside through a space Dh between the transducer 15 and the bottom plate 16a of the holder 16, the hole 16h of the bottom plate 16a, the housing opening 11h of the lower cover 11, and the nozzle 20.
[0051] Since the structure of the base plate 16a of the holder 16 is simple compared to the transducer 15, the reflection or diffraction of the sound from the transducer 15 by the holder 16 can be minimized. That is, the sound quality of the sound (e.g., in a high frequency band) can be improved and the fluctuations in the sound quality can be minimized.
[0052] Furthermore, the diameter (width) of the side wall 16b of the holder 16 may decrease as it moves away from the transducer 15. For example, the diameter of a first portion (not reference numeral) of the side wall 16b may be maintained uniformly, and the diameter of a second portion (not reference numeral) of the side wall 16b connected to the first portion may decrease as it moves away from the transducer 15. The side wall 16b and the bottom plate 16a of the holder 16 may have a funnel shape as a whole. That is, the side wall 16b and the bottom plate 16a of the holder 16 can guide the sound from the transducer 15 into the holes 16h of the bottom plate 16a, which can improve the sound quality of the sound.
[0053] As in Fig. 3, an upper hole 12n may be formed penetrating the upper cover 12. The support plate 14 may be located in the second space 10S2 and connected to the inner surface of the upper cover 12. The support plate 14 may be a printed circuit board (PCB). A duct 12np may protrude from the support plate 14 toward the inner surface of the upper cover 12, and an internal flow path of the duct 12np may communicate with the upper hole 12n. Air (or sound waves) may flow through the internal flow path of the upper hole 12n and the duct 12np into a sound detection microphone (not shown) of the support plate 14. The sound detection microphone of the support plate 14 may detect sounds. The upper hole 12n may be referred to as a sound inlet port 12n.The noise detection microphone of the carrier plate 14 can be electrically connected to the transducer 15 via the circuit board 17 (see . Fig. 4). The transducer 15 can reproduce a sound that is in antiphase with respect to the sound picked up by the sound detection microphone of the support plate 14 and has a wavelength that cancels the sound.
[0054] A bottom hole 11v may be formed so as to penetrate the first part 11a of the lower cover 11. The bottom hole 11v may be located at the boundary between the first part 11a of the lower cover 11 and the upper cover 12. The first space 10S1 may include a rear space BR between the bottom hole 11v and the transducer 15 and a front space FR between the transducer 15 and the nozzle 20. Air (or sound waves) may flow through the bottom hole 11v, the rear space BR, the transducer 15, and the front space FR into the microphone 18 within the nozzle 20 (see bold arrow in Fig. 3). The microphone 18 inside the nozzle 20 can detect sounds. The bottom hole 11v can also be referred to as the vent opening 11v. The microphone 18 inside the nozzle 20 can be electrically connected to the transducer 15 via the circuit board 17 (see Fig. 4). The transducer 15 can reproduce a sound that is in antiphase with respect to the noise detected by the microphone 18 inside the nozzle 20 and has a wavelength that cancels the noise.
[0055] At this time, the microphone 18 can detect whether the transducer 15 is reproducing a sound that is in phase opposition to the sound flowing into the upper hole 12n and provide feedback to the transducer 15. The microphone 18 can be referred to as a feedback microphone 18.
[0056] In addition, the pressure in the inner ear canal of a user wearing the sound device 1 on the ear can be relieved through the nozzle 20, the first space 10S1 and the bottom hole 11v.
[0057] As in the Fig. 14 and Fig. 15, a damper 15af may extend arcuately along the frame 15a of the converter 15 and be coupled or attached to the frame 15a. The damper 15af may be associated with the seat portion 13a (see Fig. 3) are opposite the inner support 13. The dampers 15af can support the vibrations of the transducer 15 and can be made of an air-permeable material, such as a nonwoven fabric. For example, a plurality of dampers 15af can be spaced apart from one another in a circumferential direction of the frame 15a.
[0058] A frame hole 15aa may be formed to penetrate the frame 15a and communicate with the pores of the damper 15af. For example, a plurality of frame holes 15aa may be spaced apart from each other in the circumferential direction of the frame 15a and correspond to a plurality of dampers 15af.
[0059] Air (or sound waves, see Fig. 3), which has passed through the bottom hole 11v and the rear space BR, can flow via the damper 15af and the frame hole 15aa between the frame 15a and the rim 15f and flow through a gap around the coil body 15d between the magnet 15c and the membrane 15e (see bold arrow in Fig. 15). The air flowing between the magnet 15c and the diaphragm 15e can cause the diaphragm 15e to vibrate, and the sound corresponding to such vibration can be input into the microphone 18 (see Fig. 3) are fed into the nozzle 20.
[0060] Accordingly, the microphone 18 in the nozzle 20 can detect the noise flowing into the bottom hole 11v, and the transducer 15 can play a sound that is in antiphase with respect to the noise.
[0061] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 16, the guide hole 15ab may be formed by piercing the guide projection 15au. The guide hole 15ab may communicate with a space between the transducer 15 and the holder 16.
[0062] Air (or sound waves, see Fig. 3), which have passed through the bottom hole 11v and the rear space BR, can flow through the guide hole 15ab between the edge 15f and the base plate 16a of the holder 16 and flow through the hole 16h of the base plate 16a into the microphone 18 (see thick arrow in Fig. 16).
[0063] Accordingly, the microphone 18 can detect the sound flowing into the bottom hole 11v, and the sound transducer 15 can reproduce a sound that is in antiphase with respect to the sound.
[0064] With reference to the Fig.1 to 16, a sound device according to one aspect of the present disclosure may comprise: a transducer including a diaphragm; a nozzle spaced from the diaphragm; a holder disposed between the diaphragm and the nozzle and coupled to the transducer; and a microphone coupled to the holder and disposed within the nozzle, wherein the holder may comprise: a bottom plate facing the diaphragm and spaced from the diaphragm, the bottom plate having a hole facing the diaphragm; and a side wall extending along an edge of the bottom plate and connected to the transducer.
[0065] The hole of the bottom plate may be arranged between the diaphragm and an interior of the nozzle, and a space between the diaphragm and the bottom plate may communicate with the interior of the nozzle through the hole of the bottom plate.
[0066] The width of the side wall may decrease as it approaches the base plate.
[0067] The holder can have a round bowl shape with a hole in the bottom.
[0068] The holder further comprises a carrier which projects from the bottom plate towards the nozzle and is arranged inside the nozzle, and the microphone can be connected to the carrier.
[0069] The sound device may further include a circuit board electrically connected to the microphone and coupled to the support, and the circuit board may surround the holder and the transducer.
[0070] The sound device may further comprise a housing that accommodates the transducer and the holder and to which the nozzle is coupled, the housing having a housing opening formed on the housing and communicating with the hole of the bottom plate and an interior of the nozzle.
[0071] The nozzle may include: a nozzle plate forming a distal end of the nozzle and having a plurality of holes formed thereon; a nozzle wall extending along an edge of the nozzle plate and connected to the housing; and a support rib projecting from an inner surface of the nozzle wall toward a part of the holder to which the microphone is connected and supporting the part of the holder.
[0072] The support rib may be inclined towards the nozzle plate relative to a plane perpendicular to the nozzle wall.
