[0007] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. In the description of the drawings, like elements are denoted by the same reference numerals, and redundant descriptions are omitted. The dimensional relationships in the drawings do not necessarily correspond to those in the description. The terms "upper," "lower," "front," and "rear" are based on the illustrated state and are used for convenience. [Form system]
[0008] Fig. 1 is a perspective view showing an initial state of a mold system with a core setting device according to an embodiment. In the drawing, the X direction (second direction) and the Y direction (first direction) are horizontal directions, and the Z direction is a vertical direction. The X direction, the Y direction, and the Z direction are axial directions orthogonal to each other in an orthogonal coordinate system of a three-dimensional space. Hereinafter, the X direction is also referred to as the front-to-back direction, the Y direction as the lateral direction, and the Z direction as the up-down direction. Fig. The molding system 100 shown in Figure 1 includes an upper mold (not shown) and a lower mold M, forming a mold with a core disposed therein. The molding system 100 includes a molding machine 1 and a core setting device 10.
[0009] The molding machine 1 comprises an upper molding box 2, a lower molding box 3 and a pair of molding box guide elements 4. In the initial state of the Fig. In the molding system 100 shown in Figure 1, the upper mold and lower mold M formed in the upper mold box 2 and the lower mold box 3 are arranged. The upper mold box 2 and the lower mold box 3 are arranged so that they face each other in the vertical direction. The upper mold and the lower mold M are arranged in the upper mold box 2 and the lower mold box 3, respectively, and face each other in the Z direction.
[0010] The upper mold box 2 is a box-shaped frame body with open upper and lower ends and an interior space that can accommodate a pattern arranged on the upper surface of a pattern element (not shown). The pattern element is a plate element on which a pattern can be arranged. The pattern is arranged on the upper and / or lower surface of the pattern element. The lower end of the upper mold box 2 can, for example, abut the upper surface of the pattern element. A sand inlet penetrating the interior space from the outside is provided in the side wall of the upper mold box 2. The lower mold box 3 is a box-shaped frame body with open upper and lower ends and an interior space that can accommodate a pattern arranged on the lower surface of the pattern element. The upper end of the lower mold box 3 can, for example, abut the lower surface of the pattern element.A sand inlet penetrating from the outside into the interior is provided in the side wall of the lower mold box 3.
[0011] Each of the flask guide members 4 is a rod member that guides the upper flask 2 and the lower flask 3 and extends in the vertical direction. Each of the flask guide members 4 is, for example, cylindrical in shape. The upper flask 2 and the lower flask 3 are movably connected to the flask guide members 4. A cylinder 6 is connected to the upper flask 2 to drive the upper flask 2 in the vertical direction. A cylinder 7 is connected to the lower flask 3 to drive the lower flask 3 in the vertical direction. The cylinders 6 and 7 are, for example, hydraulic cylinders, air cylinders, or electric cylinders. The upper flask 2 and the lower flask 3 move toward or away from each other by the movement of the upper flask 2 and / or the lower flask 3.
[0012] The upper mold box 2 and the lower mold box 3 move toward each other by one or both of them moving, and are connected to each other while clamping the pattern element. Sand is filled into the molding space of the upper mold box 2 and the lower mold box 3, which are connected to each other, through the sand inlets. The sand filled into the upper mold box 2 and the lower mold box 3 is pressed toward the pattern element by an upper (not shown) and a lower (not shown) press plate. As a result, the upper mold and the lower mold M are formed. After the upper mold and the lower mold M are formed, the upper mold box 2 and the lower mold box 3 are separated vertically, and the pattern element is removed, whereby the molding system 100 returns to the initial state. [Core setting device]
[0013] The core setting device 10 is a device that sets a core (not shown) into the lower mold M arranged to face the upper mold. The core setting device 10 includes a holding device 11, a support arm 12, a rotating mechanism 13, a forward / backward movement mechanism 14 (second movement mechanism), and a lateral movement mechanism (first movement mechanism) 15. The holding device 11 has a holding surface 11a for holding the core. The holding device 11 has a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape with the holding surface 11a as one surface. The holding surface 11a is rectangular. The thickness of the holding device 11 (the length of the holding device 11 in the direction orthogonal to the holding surface 11a) is shorter than the long side and the short side of the holding surface 11a. The holding device 11 has, for example, suction means and holds the core by suction. The holding device 11 may have a claw part and hold the core with the claw part.
[0014] The support arm 12 is a member that supports the holding device 11. The support arm 12 supports the holding device 11 in a cantilever manner. The support arm 12 includes a first part 12a connected to the holding device 11 and a second part 12b connected to the rotating shaft 13a of the rotating mechanism 13. The first part 12a protrudes from the side surface 11b of the holding device 11. The side surface 11b is a surface adjacent to a short side of the holding surface 11a. The first part 12a is connected to the side surface 11b at one end of the short side of the holding surface 11a and extends in a direction parallel to the rotating shaft 13a (Y direction). The second part 12b extends in a direction orthogonal to the rotating shaft 13a and connects the first part 12a and the rotating shaft 13a.
[0015] The rotating mechanism 13 includes a rotating shaft 13a extending parallel to the Y-direction and a drive unit 13b. The drive unit 13b is a motor and rotates the holding device 11 around the rotating shaft 13a.
[0016] The forward / backward movement mechanism 14 moves the rotating mechanism 13 along the X direction, along with the support device 11 and the support arm 12. The forward / backward movement mechanism 14 includes a rail member 14a and a cylinder 14b. The rail member 14a extends in the X direction. The rotating mechanism 13 is movably connected to the rail member 14a. The cylinder 14b moves the rotating mechanism 13 along the rail member 14a in the X direction. The cylinder 14b is, for example, an electric cylinder.
[0017] The lateral movement mechanism 15 moves the forward / backward movement mechanism 14 along the Y direction together with the holding device 11, the support arm 12, and the rotating mechanism 13. The lateral movement mechanism 15 includes a rail member 15a, a drive unit 15b, and a link mechanism 15c. The rail member 15a extends in the Y direction. The rotating mechanism 13 is movably connected to the rail member 15a. The drive unit 15a is a motor and moves the forward / backward movement mechanism 14 in the Y direction. Accordingly, the holding device 11 moves between position P2 (see Fig. 2 and Fig. 3) and position P3 (see Fig. 4 and Fig. 5). The link mechanism 15c is connected to the drive unit 15b and the forward / backward movement mechanism 14. The drive unit 15b moves the forward / backward movement mechanism 14 along the rail member 15a in the Y direction via the link mechanism 15c. [How the mold system works]
[0018] The operation of the molding system 100 will be described with reference to Fig. 1 to 12. In the initial state of the Fig. In the molding system 100 shown in Figure 1, the holding device 11 is arranged at position P1 in the X direction adjacent to the molding machine 1. At position P1, the holding surface 11a is oriented upward and held parallel to the horizontal direction (X direction and Y direction). In the molding system 100, in the initial state, the operator first performs a step of placing a core on the holding surface 11a. The operator's working position is a position in the X direction where the holding device 11 is located at position P1 between the molding machine 1 and the operator's working position. The operator places the core on the holding surface 11a and activates the suction means to hold the core by the holding device 11. Position P1 is located in the space in front of the molding machine 1 (upper mold and lower mold M) (hereinafter referred to as the "front space"). The front of the molding machine 1 here is the front of the molding machine 1 as viewed from the operator, i.e.the surface of the molding machine 1 facing the operator in the X direction. The front space is a space adjacent to the front of the molding machine 1 in the X direction. The operator's working position is also provided in the front space.
[0019] Subsequently, a step of withdrawing the holding device 11 from the area between the molding machine 1 and the operator is performed. The step of withdrawing the holding device 11 includes a step of rotating the holding device 11 90° clockwise (hereinafter referred to as the “positive direction”) from the negative side to the positive side in the Y direction, and a step of moving the holding device 11 in the -Y direction. In the step of rotating the holding device 11 90° in the positive direction, the holding device 11 moves from position P1 to position P2, as shown in Fig. 2 and Fig. 3, by rotating around the rotating shaft 13a of the rotating mechanism 13 while holding the core. At position P2, the holding surface 11 is arranged parallel to the Z direction and faces the space S between the upper flask 2 and the lower flask 3 in the X direction. Position P2 is also located in the front space. Therefore, the step of rotating the holding device 11 by 90° in the positive direction is performed in the front space.
[0020] In the step of moving the holding device 11 in the -Y direction, the holding device 11 is moved by the lateral movement mechanism 15 from position P2 to position P3 as shown in Fig. 4 and Fig. 5. As a result, the holding device 11 moves out of the area between the molding machine 1 and the operator. The position P3 is located in a space adjacent to the front space in the Y direction (hereinafter referred to as the "adjacent space"). In other words, by moving the holding device 11 in the Y direction, the holding device 11 moves from the front space to the adjacent space. Subsequently, a step of moving the holding device 11 in the X direction is performed by the forward / backward movement mechanism 14, and the holding device 11 moves from the position P3 to the position shown in Fig. 6. Position P4 is also located in the adjacent space. While the holding device 11 is pulled out from the area between the operator and the molding machine 1 into the adjacent space, the operator performs a visual inspection of the upper mold and the lower mold M before setting the core. During the visual inspection, the presence or absence of foreign material, chipping, etc. in the upper mold and the lower mold M is checked.
[0021] Subsequently, a step of moving the holding device 11 in the Y direction is performed. In the step of moving the holding device 11 in the Y direction, the holding device 11 is moved by the lateral movement mechanism 15 from the position P4 to the position P5, as shown in Fig. 7 and Fig. 8. At position P5, the holding surface 11a faces the space S in the X direction. By moving the holding device 11 from position P3 to position P4 in the previous step, the distance between the holding surface 11a and the space S at position P5 is shortened compared to when it was not moved. Position P5 is also located in the front space. In other words, by moving the holding device 11 in the Y direction, the holding device 11 moves from the adjacent space to the front space.
[0022] Subsequently, a step of rotating the holding device 11 by 90° in the positive direction is performed. In the step of rotating the holding device 11 by 90° in the positive direction, the holding device 11 moves from position P5 to the position shown in Fig. 9 by rotating around the rotating shaft 13a of the rotating mechanism 13 while holding the core. At position P6, the holding device 11 is arranged in the space S, and the holding surface 11a faces the upper surface Ma (product surface) of the lower mold M in the Z direction.
[0023] Subsequently, a step of lifting the lower mold box 3 together with the lower mold M by the cylinder 7 towards the holding device 11 is carried out. As a result, as shown in Fig. 10, the upper surface Ma of the lower mold M and the holding surface 11a of the holding device 11 are brought close to each other. In this state, the holding device 11 releases the core by stopping the operation of the suction means and sets the core into the lower mold M.
[0024] Subsequently, a step of lowering the lower mold box 3 together with the lower mold M is carried out by the cylinder 7. As a result, the lower mold M and the holding device 11 are separated in the Z direction, as shown in Fig. 11 shown.
[0025] Subsequently, a step of rotating the holding device 11 180° counterclockwise (hereinafter referred to as the "negative direction") from the negative side to the positive side in the Y direction and a step of moving the holding device 11 in the -X direction are performed in parallel. In the step of rotating the holding device 11 180° in the negative direction, the holding device 11 rotates around the rotating shaft 13a of the rotating mechanism 13. The step of moving the holding device 11 in the -X direction is performed by the forward / backward moving mechanism 14, and the holding device 11 moves toward the operator. As a result, the holding device 11 moves from the position P6 to the position shown in Fig. Position P1 shown in Figure 12.
[0026] After the holding device 11 has moved out of the space S, the mold adjustment process is started. Here, the lower mold box 3 is lifted toward the upper mold box 2 by the cylinder 7 to perform the mold adjustment. Subsequently, the mold is produced by demolding and ejecting the mold. [Summary of the embodiment]
[0027] According to the core setting device 10, the holding device 11 moves between position P5 outside the space S and position P6 where the holding surface 11a faces the upper surface Ma of the lower mold M in the Z direction by rotating 90° around the rotating shaft 13a of the rotating mechanism 13. In other words, the holding device 11 moves between the front space and the space S only by a rotating movement. Therefore, unlike the core setting device described in Patent Document 1 in which the core holding means is pulled out from between the lower mold and the upper mold, rotated 180° in the pulled-out position, and then advanced to the position between the lower mold and the upper mold, the holding device 11 can be moved more efficiently for core setting. This contributes to shortening the tact time.
[0028] Since the core setting device 10 includes the lateral movement mechanism 15 that moves the holding device 11 along the Y direction outside the space S, the holding device 11 can be moved to a position separate from the molding machine 1. Therefore, the operator can easily perform a visual inspection of the upper mold and the lower mold M. This improves the operability for the operator.
[0029] When the jig 11 is pulled out from the area between the molding machine 1 and the operator, the jig 11 rotates 90° in the positive direction in the front space (moving from position P1 to position P2). When the jig 11 moves from the space S to the outside of the space S, the jig 11 rotates 180° in the negative direction, utilizing the space from the space S to the front space (moving from position P6 to position P1). This eliminates the need for the jig 11 to rotate 180° only in the front space. Therefore, in this embodiment, the working range of the jig 11 in the front space can be minimized. This further improves operability for the operator and contributes to shortening the cycle time.
[0030] The holding device 11 moves along the Y direction, with the holding surface 11a arranged parallel to the Z direction by the lateral movement mechanism 15. The thickness of the holding device 11 is smaller than the long side and the short side of the holding surface 11a. Therefore, compared to moving the holding device 11 with the holding surface 11a in the Z direction, the space required for moving the holding device 11 in the X direction can be minimized.
[0031] The core setting device 10 includes a forward / backward movement mechanism 14 that moves the holding device 11 along the X direction. Therefore, the rotation radius of the holding device 11 can be shortened, thereby minimizing the distance between the upper mold and the lower mold M. This results in a shortening of the stroke of the upper mold and the lower mold M, and thus a shortening of the time required for mold adjustment and other processes. This improves productivity.
[0032] The forward / backward movement mechanism 14 moves the fixture 11 along the X direction to the position P3, which is separated from the space S in the Y direction. Therefore, while the operator performs a visual inspection of the upper mold and the lower mold M, the fixture 11 can be moved along the X direction into the adjacent space. This shortens the cycle time and improves productivity.
[0033] Although various exemplary embodiments have been described above, the present disclosure is not limited to the above exemplary embodiments, and various omissions, substitutions, and changes may be made.
[0034] In the embodiment, the molding system 100 is exemplified, but the core setting device 10 may also be used in systems other than the molding system 100. For example, the core setting device 10 may be used in a casting system including a casting machine and may insert a core into an upper mold arranged to face a lower mold. (First modification)
[0035] The core setting device 10 does not need to include the forward / backward movement mechanism 14. In this case, the rotation radius of the holding device 11 can be set so that it moves between the position P1 and the position P6 by rotating 180°. In this case, the operating method of the molding system 100 does not include the step of moving the holding device 11 in the X direction by the forward / backward movement mechanism 14. That is, after the holding device 11 is moved in the order of position P1, position P2, and position P3, the holding device 11 waits at position P3 until the operator completes the visual inspection of the upper mold and the lower mold M without moving to position P4. Then, the step of moving the holding device 11 in the Y direction is performed. As a result, the holding device 11 moves from position P3 to position P2.Subsequently, the step of rotating the holding device 11 by 90° in the positive direction is performed. As a result, the holding device 11 moves from the position P2 to the position P6. After the core is set in the lower mold M as in the embodiment, the step of rotating the holding device 11 by 180° in the negative direction is then performed. As a result, the holding device 11 moves from the position P6 to the position shown in FIG. Fig. 12. Thereafter, the molding system 100 can operate in the same manner as in the embodiment. (Second modification)
[0036] The molding system 100 may operate as follows. For example, the step of withdrawing the jig 11 from the area between the molding machine 1 and the operator need not include the step of rotating the jig 11 90° in the positive direction. That is, in the step of withdrawing the jig 11 from the area between the molding machine 1 and the operator, the jig 11 may be moved from the position P1 in the -Y direction without rotating the jig 11, with the holding surface 11a remaining parallel to the horizontal direction (X and Y directions). While withdrawing the jig 11 from the area between the molding machine 1 and the operator into the adjacent space, the operator visually inspects the upper mold and the lower mold M before setting the core. Then, the step of moving the jig 11 in the Y direction is performed. As a result, the jig 11 moves from the adjacent space to position P1. Subsequently, the step of moving the jig 11 from position P1 in the X direction by the forward / backward movement mechanism 14 is performed. As a result, the jig 11 approaches the molding machine 1. Subsequently, the step of rotating the jig 11 by 180° in the positive direction instead of 90° is performed. As a result, the jig 11 moves to position P6. Thereafter, the molding system 100 can operate in the same manner as in the embodiment. Note that the step of moving the jig 11 from position P1 in the X direction by the forward / backward movement mechanism 14 is not essential and need not be performed. (Third modification)
[0037] As described above, in the second modification, the step of moving the jig 11 in the X direction by the forward / backward movement mechanism 14 is performed after the jig 11 moves from the adjacent space to the position P1. In contrast, in the third modification, the step of moving the jig 11 in the X direction by the forward / backward movement mechanism 14 is performed while the jig 11 is pulled out from the area between the operator and the molding machine 1 into the adjacent space. In the third modification, since the jig 11 can be moved in the X direction into the adjacent space while the operator performs a visual inspection of the upper mold and the lower mold M, the tact time is shortened and productivity is improved. Otherwise, the third modification is the same as the second modification. (Fourth modification)
[0038] The molding system 100 may operate as follows. For example, the step of withdrawing the fixture 11 from the area between the molding machine 1 and the operator need not include the step of rotating the fixture 11 90° in the positive direction. That is, in the step of withdrawing the fixture 11 from the area between the molding machine 1 and the operator, the fixture 11 may be moved from the position P1 in the -Y direction without rotating the fixture 11, with the holding surface 11a remaining parallel to the horizontal direction (X and Y directions). Subsequently, in the adjacent space, the step of rotating the fixture 11 90° in the positive direction is performed. As a result, the fixture 11 moves to the position P3. Subsequently, in the adjacent space, the step of moving the fixture 11 in the X direction by the forward / backward movement mechanism 14 is performed. As a result, the holding device 11 moves from position P3 to position P4. While the holding device 11 is pulled out from the area between the operator and the molding machine 1 into the adjacent space, the operator performs a visual inspection of the upper mold and the lower mold M before setting the core.
[0039] Subsequently, the step of moving the jig 11 from the adjacent space in the Y direction is performed. As a result, the jig 11 moves from position P4 to position P5. Subsequently, the step of rotating the jig 11 by 90° in the positive direction is performed. As a result, the jig 11 moves from position P5 to position P6. The holding surface 11a faces the upper surface Ma of the lower mold M in the Z direction. Thereafter, the molding system 100 can operate in the same manner as in the embodiment. Note that the step of moving the jig 11 in the X direction by the forward / backward movement mechanism 14 is not essential and need not be performed. In addition, in the adjacent space, the step of rotating the holding device 11 by 90° in the positive direction and the step of moving the holding device 11 in the X direction can be performed in the reverse order. (Fifth Modification)
[0040] In the embodiment, the operator's working position is provided in the front room, but it may also be provided in the adjacent room, for example. In this case, in the initial state of the molding system 100, the holding device 11 is not arranged at the position P1 in the front room, but at a position in the adjacent room that is adjacent to the operator's working position in the X direction. In this state, the operator holds the core on the holding device 11. The operator then moves from the adjacent room to the front room and visually inspects the upper mold and the lower mold M before setting the core. The operator then moves outside the movement range of the core setting device 10.
[0041] Subsequently, the step of moving the holding device 11 in the Y direction is performed. As a result, the holding device 11 moves from the adjacent space to position P1. This step is performed when no operator is within the moving range of the core setting device 10. For example, a push button for operating the core setting device 10 is provided outside the moving range of the core setting device 10. Furthermore, the core setting device 10 is configured to operate after confirming that no operator is within the moving range of the core setting device 10 using a range sensor or the like.
[0042] Subsequently, in the front space, the step of rotating the jig 11 by 180° in the positive direction is performed. As a result, the jig 11 moves to the position P6. Thereafter, the molding system 100 can operate in the same manner as in the embodiment. Note that the step of moving the jig 11 from the position P1 in the X direction by the forward / backward movement mechanism 14 can be performed between the step of moving the jig 11 in the Y direction and the step of rotating the jig 11 by 180° in the positive direction in the adjacent space. (Sixth Modification)
[0043] As described above, in the fifth modification, the step of rotating the jig 11 180° in the positive direction is performed in the front space. In contrast, in the sixth modification, the step of rotating the jig 11 90° in the positive direction is performed in the adjacent space and the step of rotating the jig 11 90° in the positive direction is performed in the front space. Otherwise, the sixth modification is the same as the fifth modification. In the sixth modification, the step of rotating the jig 11 90° in the positive direction is performed in the adjacent space while the operator visually inspects the upper mold and the lower mold M. As a result, the jig 11 moves to position P4. Then, the operator moves outside the movement range of the core setting device 10.
[0044] Subsequently, the step of moving the holding device 11 in the Y direction is performed. As a result, the holding device 11 moves from the adjacent space to position P5. This step is performed by the same interlock control as in the fifth modification when there is no operator within the moving range of the core setting device 10. Subsequently, in the front space, the step of rotating the holding device 11 by 90° in the positive direction is performed. As a result, the holding device 11 moves from position P5 to position P6. After that, the molding system 100 can operate in the same manner as in the embodiment. [Summary of Embodiments of the Present Disclosure]
[0045] The present disclosure includes the following aspects.
[0046] (Item 1) A core setting device according to one aspect of the present disclosure is a core setting device that sets a core in a lower mold arranged to face an upper mold in the vertical direction. The core setting device includes a holding device having a holding surface for holding the core, a rotating mechanism having a rotating shaft parallel to a first direction orthogonal to the vertical direction and configured to rotate the holding device, and a first moving mechanism configured to move the holding device along the first direction outside the space between the upper mold and the lower mold. The holding device is configured to move by rotating about the rotating shaft between outside the space and a core setting position where the holding surface faces the upper surface of the lower mold in the vertical direction.
[0047] In this core setting device, the holding device moves between the outside of the space between the upper and lower molds and the core setting position by rotating around the rotating shaft. In other words, the holding device can move between the outside of the space and the core setting position within the space only by rotating. Since the holding device can be moved efficiently for core setting, this contributes to shortening the cycle time. In addition, since the holding device can be moved to a position separate from the upper and lower molds, the operator can easily perform a visual inspection of the upper and lower molds. This improves operability for the operator. In addition, the holding device in the space in front of the upper and lower molds does not need to be rotated 180°.The space in front of the upper and lower molds can be equipped with a working position where the operator places the core on the core holder or performs a visual inspection of the lower and upper molds. In this case, too, operator usability can be further improved, as the working area of the core setting device in the space in front of the upper and lower molds can be minimized.
[0048] (Item 2) In the core setting device according to Item 1, the holding device can move along the first direction, with the holding surface arranged parallel to the vertical direction by the first moving mechanism. In this case, if the thickness of the holding device is smaller than the size of the holding surface, the space required for the movement of the holding device can be minimized compared to the movement of the holding device with the holding surface in the vertical direction.
[0049] (Item 3) The core setting device according to Item 1 or 2 may further include a second movement mechanism configured to move the holding device along a second direction orthogonal to the vertical direction and the first direction. In this case, the rotation radius of the holding device can be shortened, thereby minimizing the distance between the upper mold and the lower mold. This results in a shortening of the stroke of the upper mold and the lower mold, and thus a shortening of the time required for mold adjustment and other processes. This improves productivity.
[0050] (Item 4) In the core setting device according to Item 3, the second movement mechanism can move the holding device along the second direction to a position separated from the space in the first direction. In this case, the holding device can be moved along the second direction while the operator performs a visual inspection of the upper mold and the lower mold. This shortens the cycle time and improves productivity. QUOTES CONTAINED IN THE DESCRIPTION
