Abstract

The invention relates to a microscope stand (1) comprising a base part (2), wherein the base part (2) has a bottom side (2.1) for setting up the microscope stand (1) on a substrate and an upper side (2.2) opposite the bottom side (2.1) and delimiting the base part (2) in a z-direction. Also provided are a sample support (5) extending in an xy-plane, a stand column (3) extending perpendicular to the xy-plane in the z-direction, and a stand arm (4) fastened to the stand column (3) and projecting over the sample support (5), wherein a clear distance (H) between the stand arm (4) and the sample support (5) can be controlled and varied in the z-direction. It is characteristic that the stand column (3) is movable relative to the base part (2) in the z-direction between a bottom dead center (uT) and a top dead center (oT), wherein the bottom dead center (uT) is within the extension of the base part (2) in the z-direction and below a through the top side (2nd2) certain level.
