Description

TECHNICAL AREA

[0001] The present invention belongs to the technological field of equipment for environmental health control and relates in particular to a nozzle for an atomizer of insecticides in aerosol form, comprising a smooth tube, an inner base and a limiter, which together enable the atomization of the insecticide in laminar form and in small particles. STATE OF THE ART

[0002] The insecticide atomizer is an effective piece of equipment for controlling pests in cities and protecting against insect-borne diseases. These devices are used in both residential and commercial environments, dispersing small insecticide particles into the air, allowing them to reach hard-to-access areas and eliminate pests and intruders. The equipment makes it possible to reach places where insects hide, such as cracks, crevices, and densely furnished areas. In addition to their effectiveness in pest control, atomizers contribute to protecting and maintaining an environment free of unwanted insects.

[0003] To ensure the aerosol is sprayed correctly, the atomizers are equipped with nozzles that guarantee proper distribution of the insecticide within the aerosol. This component is designed to convert the insecticide liquid into small particles, which are then evenly and effectively dispersed into the air. Various types of atomizer nozzles are available, each designed for specific application requirements. Some nozzles are adjustable, allowing control over the size of the generated droplets. This is important because particle size directly impacts area coverage and treatment effectiveness. Droplets that are too large may fail to reach critical areas, while droplets that are too small may lack the necessary weight to reach the desired target before evaporating.

[0004] Patent US 5553784 describes a nozzle for atomizers or similar equipment that sprays gases mixed with liquid and has multiple outlet openings arranged in a single mixing zone, with the outlet openings arranged concentrically and alternating between water and gas streams. A limitation of this type of nozzle is that it has only one base with an opening and no restrictor, which limits control over dispersion and droplet size. Therefore, precise control of material orientation is not possible, and the equipment must have high power output to disperse small droplets.

[0005] Patent CN103769324 describes a water and gas spray nozzle with internal mixing and atomization. The nozzle comprises a spray nozzle body and a spray nozzle cap, wherein the spray nozzle body is provided with a liquid passage and a gas passage, the head of the spray nozzle cap is provided with a plurality of spray openings, and the spray nozzle cap is provided with a mixing area and a spray cavity, with the liquid passage and the gas passage each connected to the mixing area. A limitation of this technology is that it has straight openings in the nozzle and turbulent atomization, which makes particle size reduction more difficult and decreases their velocity. NOVELTY FEATURES AND PURPOSE OF THE INVENTION

[0006] The present invention relates to a nozzle for an atomizer which effectively overcomes the aforementioned limitations of the prior art.

[0007] The nozzle for an insecticide sprayer consists of a hollow body with a liquid outlet at its top. Inside, this body encloses a smooth tube, an inner base, and a restrictor / director, which together enable the spraying of a gas-liquid mixture as small particles in laminar flow. A spike on the side of the body allows liquid to be poured near the inner base of the nozzle. The liquid passes over the spike into the inner base. From there, the liquid is directed to the upper outlet. At the outlet, the liquid encounters the high-velocity airflow and is set into rotation, causing it to break up completely into droplets. These droplets are then carried along the smooth tube in laminar flow. ADVANTAGES AND TECHNICAL EFFECTS OF THE INVENTION

[0008] The nozzle for atomizers, which is the subject of the present invention, offers the following advantages over nozzle nozzles according to the prior art and achieves the following technical effects: - Prior art nozzles for atomizers have elements that impede the flow of the insecticide mixture through the atomizer, leading to pressure losses and turbulent flow, thereby reducing its speed and range. This problem has been solved by the present invention by providing a smooth tube behind the inner base of the atomizer, so that there are no elements that disrupt the flow of the insecticide, thus ensuring that it remains laminar. - Prior art atomizer nozzles require internal bases with openings that significantly impede the flow of the insecticide, breaking it up into small particles and thus reducing the speed and range of the spray mist. Therefore, the atomizers must be powerful enough to adequately eject insecticides in small particles and thus compensate for the pressure drop caused by the nozzle. The present invention achieves this through a combination of a restrictor, an internal base with angled openings, and a smooth tube that ensures particle breakup, reduces the particle diameter without causing a large pressure drop, and enables the atomization of particles with a diameter of approximately 20 micrometers in laminar flow by low-power atomizers, i.e., atomizers using blowers with an air volume of less than 350 CFM. LIST OF ENCLOSED DRAWINGS

[0009] In order to ensure that the present invention can be fully understood and implemented in practice by any technician in this technology sector, it is described in a clear, precise and sufficient manner, based on the accompanying drawings listed below, which illustrate preferred embodiments of the nozzle for atomizers: Fig. 1 - Perspective view of the front of the nozzle for atomizers; Fig. 2 - Perspective view of the back of the nozzle for atomizers; Fig. 3 - Sectional view of the nozzle for atomizers; Fig. 4 - Perspective exploded view of the nozzle for atomizers; Fig. 5 - Perspective view of the nozzle limiter for atomizers; Fig. 6 - Perspective view of the inner base of the atomizer nozzle; and Fig. 7 - Perspective view of the smooth tube of the atomizer nozzle. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0010] The Fig. 1 and Fig. Figure 2 shows the nozzle for an atomizer, comprising a base (1) connected to a body (2), which in turn is connected at its end to a tip (3). The base (1) and body (2) are identical in design and have a cylindrical shape, a hollow interior, an open end (11 and 21) for the inlet / outlet of liquid / gas, a recess in their central part forming a closed-end half-cylinder, and a lateral opening (12 and 22) for the inlet / outlet of liquid / gas. The base (1) and body (2) are connected by a handle (4) attached to the openings (13 and 23). Furthermore, the lateral openings (12 and 22) have protrusions and recesses in their profile that serve as plug connections for coupling [connecting] the base (1) and body (2). The tip (3) is attached to the body (2) by fasteners such as screws or similar components. The tip (3) has a hollow, conical body with open ends.

[0011] The Fig. Figure 3 shows the internal components of the atomizer nozzle, which are enclosed by the body (2) and the tip (3). The internal assembly of the nozzle includes a limiter / direction element (5), an internal base (6), and a smooth tube (7). These elements control the pressure, orientation, and particle size reduction, thereby decreasing the diameter of the insecticide particles for atomization.

[0012] The Fig. Figure 4 shows the movement of the mixture (liquid + gas) inside the nozzle. The gas coming from the atomizer enters the base (1) and is directed to the body (2). Inside the body (2), the gas flows through the openings (51) of the restrictor (5), which limits the gas flow and increases the pressure. The gas then enters the inner base (6), into which liquid insecticide is simultaneously injected via a spike (8). The gas then flows through the angled openings (621), and the liquid flows through the central opening (622) of the base (6). At the outlet of the base (6), the mixture is blended and directed through the smooth tube (7), where it mixes and breaks up the particles, creating particles with a diameter of approximately 20 micrometers. The mixture flows through the smooth tube (7), which maintains laminar flow until it is expelled through the tip (3).

[0013] The use of the combination of restrictor (5), inner base (6), and smooth tube (7) allows the atomizer to efficiently expel the insecticide in particles smaller than 20 micrometers without requiring high power. This is achieved because the restrictor creates increased internal pressure in the nozzle head, thus replacing the effect previously required by a powerful blower-motor combination.

[0014] The Fig. Figure 5 shows the restrictor / director (5) of the atomizer nozzle, comprising a disc-shaped body with openings (51) for limiting and directing the gas flow inside the nozzle, thereby regulating the pressure of the flowing gas. The restrictor (5) is fastened by fasteners such as four screws on the body (2) or one screw at the base (6). The openings (51) are present in varying numbers, preferably more than 15, and have a diameter between 10 and 20 mm. The openings (51) not only generate the pressure required to break the droplets but are also designed to ensure that the motor operates at optimal speed, since the pressure generated in the nozzle regulates the load on the motor.

[0015] The Fig. Figure 6 shows the inner base (6), which has a chamber (63) connected to a disc (62). The chamber (63) receives the insecticide injected from the spike (8) and directs it to the central opening (622) of the disc (62). The disc (62) has angled openings (621) and a central opening (622). The angled openings (621) have an angle between 40° and 60° transversely and between 30° and 50° longitudinally. They receive the gas from the atomizer and direct it into the smooth tube (7), where it encounters the insecticide particles ejected through the central opening (622), breaking them into particles with a diameter of approximately 20 micrometers. More precisely, the angles of the openings (621) are 50° transversely and 40° longitudinally. The angular position of the openings (621) causes the air to move in a rotating motion, which facilitates the crushing of the particles.

[0016] The Fig.Figure 7 shows the smooth tube (7), which has a hollow cylindrical body with two open ends and a concave inner shape. The powdered mixture enters the tube (7) at one end with a smaller diameter and exits at the other end with a larger diameter. This prevents disturbances or pressure losses and ensures the mixture remains laminar. At the end of the smooth tube (7), the mixture encounters the secondary air coming from the area outside the base (6). This airflow further breaks up the droplets and propels the spray mist to achieve the desired spray range.

[0017] The spike (8) is attached to a lateral opening of the body (2) by means of fastening elements, such as a nut, and is in direct communication with the chamber (63) to direct the insecticide from the atomizer into the interior of the nozzle.

[0018] The inner base (6) and the smooth tube (7) are connected to each other by fasteners. The smooth tube (7) is not attached to the top (3) to allow a secondary airflow, i.e., air that does not flow through the interior of the base (6).

[0019] Thus, the nozzle of the present invention controls the spray pattern, droplet size, and liquid distribution, ensuring efficient and precise application. By controlling insecticide drift, all desired objectives can be achieved. Furthermore, it regulates the pressure and flow rate of the liquid, enabling efficient operation of the atomizer, even with a low power output (blower with an air volume of less than 350 CFM).

[0020] The nozzle is connected to the atomizer's equipment by attaching the base (1) to the atomizer's outlet tube using fastening elements such as, but not limited to, a handle. Furthermore, the nozzle can also be used in sprayers or similar equipment. QUOTES INCLUDED IN THE DESCRIPTION
