Abstract
Description
Technical area
[0001] The present invention relates to a drum block. The insert refers to a hollow sleeve that is removably integrated into the drum. The sleeve refers to a cylindrical portion that is integrated into the cylinder, thereby enabling a cylinder to be integrally formed within the drum. The cylinder refers to a hollow channel into which one or more screws are rotatably inserted. State of the art
[0002] In the technical field of the drum block, a technique is known for forming a cylinder in a drum (roller) by incorporating a sleeve in which a biaxial opening is formed into the drum (see Patent Literature 1 stepwise). In this technique, the sleeve has a cross-section such that the biaxial opening is covered (for example, an elongated elliptical shape or an oval [egg] shape). The sleeve is incorporated into a drum opening formed in the cylinder. As an incorporation method, shrink fitting or cooling fitting is used.
[0003] In the shrink-fit process, the cylinder is heated to expand the cylinder opening. The sleeve is inserted into the expanded cylinder opening. The sleeves are left as they are in an environment at normal temperature. During this process, in which they are left as they are, the cylinder returns to its original shape, which it had before it was heated. That is, the cylinder opening shrinks. The cylinder opening and the sleeve are pressed against each other. As a result, the sleeve is integrated and fixed in the cylinder opening.
[0004] During cooling assembly, the sleeve is cooled to cause it to contract smaller than the cylinder opening. The shrunk sleeve is inserted into the cylinder opening. The sleeves are left as they are in an environment at normal temperature. During this process, in which they are left as they are, the sleeve returns to its original shape, which it had before it was cooled. This means that the sleeve expands. The cylinder opening and the sleeve are thereby pressed against each other. As a result, the sleeve is bound and fixed in the cylinder opening. Literature listPatent literature Patent Literature 1: JP S58-49230 A Patent literature 2: JP H03-66 632 U Patent literature 3: JP S 59-15 525 U Summary of the inventionTechnical problem
[0005] Furthermore, the above-described integration method (shrink-fitting or cooling assembly) requires large-scale equipment and a large number of workers to complete the process. This increases the cost of integrating the sleeve into the cylinder. In particular, the operation of heating the cylinder or the operation of cooling the sleeve and the subsequent operation of leaving it as it is not only takes a lot of time but also requires securing space for the operations. Thus, the sleeve cannot be integrated into the cylinder efficiently.
[0006] In addition, the contours of the sleeve and cylinder opening above have an elongated elliptical or oval (egg) shape. Shaping the sleeve and cylinder opening into such a shape is labor-intensive and problematic, thus increasing machining costs.
[0007] An object of the present invention is to provide a drum block in which a sleeve can be incorporated easily and efficiently at low cost without the need for shrink fitting or cooling fitting. Solution to the task
[0008] To achieve the object, the drum block of the present invention comprises a cylinder main body, a sleeve, and a fixing device (a fixing hole and a fixing device) according to the independent claim. Examples and technical descriptions of devices, products, and / or methods in the specification and / or drawings that do not fall under the claims are not presented as embodiments of the invention, but as background knowledge or examples useful for understanding the invention.
[0009] The cylinder main body includes a cylindrical opening and a slot that divides an inner peripheral surface of the drum opening. The sleeve, having a hollow cylindrical shape, is removably fitted into the drum opening. The slot includes two cutout surfaces that oppose each other with a gap therebetween. The fixing device brings the inner peripheral surface of the drum opening into close contact with the sleeve without any gap by narrowing the space between the cutout surfaces and deforming the cylinder main body. Advantageous effects of the invention
[0010] According to the present invention, a drum block can be obtained in which a sleeve can be incorporated easily and efficiently at a low cost without having to perform shrink fitting or cooling fitting. Short description of the characters Fig. 1 is a perspective view showing a partial cross-sectional view of a drum block according to the embodiment. Fig. 2 is a bottom view of the drum block from Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is a side view from a direction F3 Fig. 2. Fig. 4 is a perspective view from a direction F4 Fig. 3. Fig. 5 is a bottom view of the drum block according to a modification. Fig. 6 is a side view from a direction F6 Fig. 5. Mode for carrying out the invention[An embodiment]
[0011] A drum block according to a present embodiment is configured to allow a cylinder to be integrated into the drum (roller) by removably incorporating an insert (i.e., a hollow sleeve) into the cylinder. The cylinder functions as a hollow channel. One or more screws are rotatably inserted into the hollow channel. In the following description, a cylinder into which two screws are rotatably inserted is assumed as an example of the cylinder.
[0012] The drum block according to the present embodiment is integrated by combining drum blocks 1 (see Fig. 1 to Fig. 5) with each other. In this case, the number of drum blocks 1 to be combined is increased or decreased. A cylinder corresponding to the length of screws to be used therethrough can be formed in a continuous drum formed of the drum blocks 1. It should be noted that the accompanying figures show the structure of a part of the drum, i.e., one drum block 1. [Structure of a drum block 1 (drum)][Drum main body 2]
[0013] As in Fig. 1 to Fig. As shown in Figure 4, the drum blocks 1 each comprise a drum main body 2.
[0014] The drum main body 2 is formed to have a contour in the shape of a cube or a rectangular parallelepiped. The drum main body 2 includes end surfaces 2a and 2b that oppose each other, and an outer surface 3 that covers a space between the end surfaces 2a and 2b. The end surfaces 2a and 2b are arranged parallel to each other. The outer surface 3 is continuously formed by integrating four rectangular flat surfaces 3a, 3b, 3c, and 3d.
[0015] The view flat surfaces are, for example, the upper surface 3a, the 1st side surface 3b, the 2nd
[0016] The first side surface 3c and the second side surface 3d are defined. The upper surface 3a and the lower surface 3d are arranged parallel to each other. The first side surface 3b and the second side surface 3c are arranged parallel to each other. The upper and lower surfaces 3a and 3d and the first and second side surfaces 3b and 3c have a positional relationship in which they are orthogonal to each other.
[0017] The drum main body 2 includes two flanks 4a and 4b. The flanks 4a and 4b protrude outward from the outer surfaces 3 of the drum main body 2. The flanks 4a and 4b are formed so that they are arranged along the same planes as the two end surfaces 2a and 2b. The flanks 4a and 4b have rectangular contours.
[0018] According to the above-described structure, the flanks 4a and 4b of the adjacent drum main bodies 2 are fixed to each other in a state where the drum blocks 1 are arranged in one direction. A single continuous drum in which the drum blocks 1 are thereby integrated can be formed.
[0019] Here, a method for fastening the flanks 4a and 4b to each other may be used, for example, a technique for fastening them by joining bolts and nuts, which are not specifically shown in the figures. In this case, through holes (not shown in the figures) are provided at intervals in the flanks 4a and 4b. The through holes are formed so that they penetrate the flanks 4a and 4b.
[0020] In this structure, the through holes of the adjacent flanks 4a and 4b are positioned so that they face each other in a state where the drum blocks 1 are arranged in one direction. Bolts are inserted into the through holes, which face each other. Nuts are screwed onto the tips of the inserted bolts. The flanks 4a and 4b can thus be fastened together. As a result, the drum blocks 1 can be integrated. [Drum opening 5]
[0021] The drum blocks 1 each include a drum opening 5. The drum opening 5 is provided in the drum main body 2. The drum opening 5 is formed so that an insert (hereinafter referred to as a sleeve 8), which will be described later, can be removably incorporated therein. More specifically, the drum opening 5 extends straight to penetrate the space between the above-described two end surfaces 2a and 2b. The drum opening 5 includes an inner circumferential surface 5s having a cylindrical shape.
[0022] It is preferable that the inner dimension (i.e., the inner diameter) of the drum opening 5 (the inner circumferential surface 5s) be set equal to or slightly larger than the outer diameter (i.e., the diameter) of the sleeve 8. The sleeve 8 can thereby be removably inserted (bonded) into the opening 5 easily and smoothly. [Slot 6]
[0023] The drum blocks 1 each include a slot 6. The slot 6 is provided in the drum main body 2. Specifically, the slot 6 is formed by cutting out a portion of the tunnel main body 2. In other words, the slot 6 is formed in a portion remaining after the portion of the drum main body 2 has been cut out. In the remaining portion, the slot 2 includes cutout surfaces 6s.
[0024] The cutout surfaces 6s have a flat and planar shape. The cutout surfaces 6s are opposite each other with a gap therebetween and are parallel to each other. The cutout surfaces 6s are formed in a straight line continuously from the outer surface 3 of the drum main body 2 to the drum opening 5. In the figures, as an example, the cutout surfaces 6s are formed in a straight line continuously from the bottom surface 3d of the drum main body 2 and the bottom surfaces 4s of the two flanks 4a and 4b to the drum opening 5.
[0025] The slit 6 is formed to divide the inner circumferential surface 5s of the drum opening 5. The inner circumferential surface 5s of the drum opening 5 is divided by a gap between the two cutout surfaces 6s. A direction in which the drum opening 5 is divided by the gap extends straight in a direction along the space between the above-described two end surfaces 2a and 2b. The width of the space between the cutout surfaces 6s (that is, the size of the gap or the width of the slit 6) is set according to, for example, the size, shape, and material of the main body 2 and the size of the drum opening 5. Thus, its numerical value is not particularly limited here.
[0026] The slit 6 is provided in a position avoiding a cooling water path 7 (a channel 7p), which will be described later. The slit 6 is formed such that an introduction port 7a and an exit port 7b, which will be described later, are arranged on both sides of the slit 6. In the figures, as an example, the slit 6 (gap) is formed by forming the above-described two cutout surfaces 6aS, which extend parallel to each other and straight. The introduction port 7a and the exit port 7b are arranged on the bottom surfaces 4s of the two flanks 4a and 4b, respectively, on both sides of the straight slit 6 (gap).
[0027] In this way, the drum opening 5 is divided by the slit 6 (gap), making it easier to elastically deform the double main body 2. At the same time, it becomes easier to expand and deform the drum opening 5. The drum opening 5 is thereby expanded and deformed when the sleeve 8 is inserted into the drum opening 5. As a result, the sleeve 8 can be easily and smoothly removed from the drum opening 5. [Other structures of a drum main body 2]
[0028] The drum blocks 1 each include the cooling water path 7, a heating element, and a temperature sensor, which are not shown in the figures, and so on. The cooling water path 7 is adapted to cool the main body 2. The heating element is adapted to heat the drum main body 2. The heating element is provided on the outer surface 3 of the drug main body 2. In this case, the drum main body 2 can be heated to a preset temperature by turning the heating element on and off. Here, if the temperature of the drum main body 2 exceeds the set temperature, the drum main body 2 can be cooled to the preset temperature by flowing cooling water through the cooling water path 7.
[0029] The cooling water path 7 is continuously formed to surround the above-described drum opening 7. The cooling water path 7 is formed of a single continuous channel 7p. The cooling water path 7 (the channel 7p) is laid out in a circumferential direction along the drum opening 5 while oscillating between the above-described two end surfaces 2a and 2b, alternately within the drum main body 2.
[0030] The cooling water path 7 (the channel 7p) includes the inlet port 7a and the outlet port 7b. The inlet port 7a and the outlet port 7b are provided at both ends of the cooling water path 7 (the channel 7p). That is, the inlet port 7a is provided at one end of the cooling water path 7 (the channel 7p), and the outlet port 7b is provided at the other end of the cooling water path 7 (the channel 7p).
[0031] The inlet port 7a is adapted to introduce cooling water into the cooling water path 7 (the channel 7p). The outlet port 7b is adapted to discharge cooling water that has passed through the cooling water path 7 (the channel 7p).
[0032] The inlet port 7a and the outlet port 7b can be opened on the outer surface 3 (the upper surface 3a, the first side surface 3b, the second side surface 3c, and the lower surface 3d) of the drum main body 2 or on the surfaces of the two flanks 4a and 4b. In the figures, as an example, the inlet port 7a and the outlet port 7b are opened on the lower surfaces 4s of the flanks 4a and 4b, respectively, of the surfaces of both flanks 4a and 4b. Specifically, the inlet port 7a is opened at the lower surface 4s of one flank 4a. The outlet port 7b is opened at the lower surface 4s of the other flank 4b. The lower surfaces 4s of the two flanks 4a and 4b are formed parallel to the lower surface 3d of the drum main body 2. [Sleeve 8]
[0033] The drum blocks 1 each include the sleeve 8. The sleeve 8 has a contour such that it can be removably incorporated into the tunnel main body 2 (the opening 5). Specifically, the sleeve 8 includes an outer circumferential surface 8s having a cylindrical shape. The sleeve 8 is set to a length equal to the distance between the end surfaces 2a and 2b of the main body 2, or a length that allows both sides of the sleeve 8 to slightly protrude from the end surfaces 2a and 2b. The length of the sleeve 8 can be determined as the total length between both end surfaces 8a and 8b of the sleeve 8. The sleeve 8 extends straight over its entire length.
[0034] The sleeve 8 includes a tall cylinder portion 9. The cylinder portion 9 is formed to extend between the two end surfaces 8a and 8b of the sleeve 8. Two cylinder paths 9a and 9b having a hollow cylindrical shape are formed in the cylinder space 9. The cylinder paths 9a and 9b extend to penetrate the two end surfaces 8a and 8b of the sleeve. The cylinder paths 9a and 9b extend straight while being parallel and adjacent to each other. The cylinder paths 9a and 9b extend with adjacent portions thereof overlapping each other. Screws (not shown in the figures) can be inserted into the cylinder paths 9a and 9b, respectively. In a state where the screws are inserted into the cylinder paths 9a and 9b, the screws can rotate in the same direction (different directions).
[0035] According to the sleeve 8 described above, the sleeve 8 is inserted (integrated) into the drum opening 5. The sleeve 8 is fixed in the drum opening 5 by a fixing device, which will be described later. The cylinder is a hollow channel into which the screws are rotatably inserted, allowing them to be integrated into the drum main body 2 (drum). [Positions device]
[0036] The drum blocks 1 each include a positioning device. This positioning device is suitable for fitting the sleeve 8 in the drum opening 5 in a fixed orientation. In the figures, a marker 10 for positioning is applied as an example of the positioning device. The marker 10 is provided on both end surfaces 8a and 8b of the sleeve 8. The marker 10 is provided at a position which is closer to the periphery of each of the end surfaces 8a and 8b and which opposes the adjacent portions of the two cylinder paths 9a and 9b. The shape of the marker 10 can optionally be set to a circle, a rectangle, a triangle, and so on. In the figures, the round mark 10 is shown as an example. As the sleeve 8 is fitted into the drum opening 5, the marker 10 is brought closer to oppose the above-described slot 6.In the drum blocks 1, the orientations of the sleeves 8 integrated into the drum main bodies 2 can thereby be aligned with each other in the same direction. As a result, the cylinder in which the cylinder paths 9a and 9b continue straight can be formed in a state in which the drum blocks 1 (the drum main bodies 2) are integrated.
[0037] As the positioning device, for example, an engagement portion for positioning (not shown in the figures) may be provided between the sleeve 8 and the drum opening 5 instead of the above-described combination of the mark 10 and the slit 6. The entry portion is formed to extend along a direction in which the sleeve 8 is inserted into the drum opening 5. For example, an engagement protrusion is provided on the outer peripheral surface 8s of the sleeve 8. The engagement protrusion is formed such that a part of the larger peripheral surface 8s of the sleeve 8 protrudes along the insertion direction. On the other hand, an engagement recess is provided in the drum opening 5. The engagement recess is formed such that a part of the inner peripheral surface 5s of the drum opening 5 is recessed along the insertion direction.
[0038] The engaging recess and the engaging projection are adapted to engage with each other. The respective portions where an engaging projection and an engaging recess are provided on the drum blocks 1 are set at the same positions. In this case, when the sleeves 8 are fitted into the drum openings 5, the engaging projections will engage with the engaging recesses. The respective orientations of the sleeves 8 fitted into the main body 2 of the drum blocks 1 can thereby be positioned in the same direction. As a result, the cylinder in which the cylinder paths 9a and 9b continue straight can be formed in a state in which the drum blocks 1 are integrated. [Fixing device]
[0039] The drum blocks 1 each include the fixing device. The fixing device is adapted to fix the sleeve 8, which is inserted into the drum opening 5, in the drum opening 5. Specifically, the fixing device comprises one or more fixing openings 11 and one or more fixing devices 12. The figures show four fixing openings 11 formed at regular intervals and four fixing devices 12, which are respectively inserted into the fixing openings 11, as an example.
[0040] The fastening devices 12 are adapted to be removably mounted in the fastening openings 11. The fastening devices 12 comprise sections 12a and axial sections 12b extending from the head section 12a. The head sections 12a and the axial sections 12b have a cylindrical shape. The head sections 12a are larger in diameter than the axial sections 12b. Screws (e.g., male screws) are cut into the outer peripheries of the axial sections 12b.
[0041] Mounting holes 11 are formed at positions avoiding the cooling water path 7 (the channel 7p). The mounting holes 11 extend from the outer surface 3 of the main body 2 so as to penetrate the slot 6 (the gap or both cutout surfaces 6s). In the figures, the mounting holes 11 extend straight from the 1st side surface 3b to the 2nd side surface 3c of the drum main body 2, as an example, from the outer surface 3 of the main body 2. Extending ends 11d of the mounting holes 11 are set at positions that cross the slot 6 (the gap or both cutout surfaces 6s) and do not penetrate the 2nd side surface 3c.
[0042] The mounting holes 11 include receiving portions 11a, inserting portions 11b extending from the receiving portions 11a, and screwing portions 11c opposite to the inserting portions 11b.
[0043] The receiving portions 11a are adapted to support the head portions 12a of the fastening devices 12 in a state in which the fastening devices 12 are inserted into the fastening holes 11. The receiving portions 11a are formed such that the first side surface 3b of the drum main body 2 is depressed.
[0044] The insertion portions 11b are formed to allow the axial portions 12b of the fasteners 12 to be inserted therein. The insertion portions 11b are provided between the receiving portions 11a and the slot (the gap or both cutout surfaces 6s).
[0045] The screw portions 11c are configured to allow axial portions 12b of the fasteners 5 to be screwed therein. Screws (e.g., female screws) are cut into the inner peripheries of the screw portions 11c. The screw portions 11c are provided at three positions opposite the insertion portions 11b. The screw portions 11c are provided between the slots 6 (the gap or both cutout surfaces 6s) and the extending ends 11d of the fastening holes 11. [Process for assembling drum blocks 1]
[0046] For example, the drum main bodies 2 and the same number of sleeves as the drum main bodies 2 are prepared. An inner diameter of the drum openings 5 is set equal to or slightly larger than the outer diameter of the sleeves 8. The sleeves 8 are inserted into the drum openings 5. At this time, the marks 10 on both end surfaces 8a and 8b of the sleeves 8 are brought closer to oppose the slit 6. The sleeves 8 are positioned in a fixed orientation with respect to the drum openings 5. The end surfaces 8a and 8b of the sleeves 8 are positioned on the same planes as the two end surfaces 2a and 2b of the drum main body 2. Alternatively, both end surfaces 8a and 8b of the sleeve 8 are formed so that they slightly protrude from both surfaces 2a and 2b of the drum main body 2.
[0047] The sleeves 8, which are fitted into the drum holes 5, are fixed in the drum holes 5 by the fixing device. That is, the four fasteners 12 are inserted into the fastening holes 11, respectively. At this time, the head portions 12a of the fasteners 12 are supported by the receiving portions 11a of the fastening holes 11. The axial portions 12b of the fasteners 12 extend from the insertion portions 11b of the fastening holes 11 across the slit 6 (the gap or both cutout surfaces 6s) and reach the screw portions 11c. In this state, the fasteners 12 are screwed in and fastened. The drum main bodies 2 are thereby deformed.
[0048] Specifically, when the fasteners 12 are screwed in, the screw portions 11c are pulled in the direction of the head portions 12a of the fasteners 12 with the rotation of the axial portions 12b of the fasteners 12. At this time, along with the screw portions 11c, the peripheral structures of the screw portions 11c are also pulled in the same direction. The space between the cutout surfaces 6s is thereby narrowed. Due to the narrowing of the space, the drum main bodies 2 are elastically deformed with an initial shape. The initial shape refers to the shape of the drum main body 2 before it is deformed, in other words, the shape of the drum main body 2 before the fixing device is used.
[0049] When the drum main body 2 is elastically deformed with the initial shape, the inner circumferential surfaces 5s of the drum holes 5 are also deformed with the deformation of the drum main body 2. In other words, the narrower the space between the cutout surfaces 6s becomes, the smaller the inner diameter of the drum holes 5 (the inner circumferential surfaces 5s) becomes. In this case, the cylindrical drum holes 5 (the inner circumferential surfaces 5s) contract concentrically with the cylindrical sleeves 8. The tunnel holes 5 (the inner circumferential surfaces 5s) can thereby be brought into close contact with the sleeves 8 without a gap. At this time, the sleeves 8 are brought into the state where they are held by the entire circumferential surfaces of the drum hole 5 (the inner circumferential surfaces 5s) without a gap. As a result, the sleeves 8 can be firmly fixed in the drum holes 5.
[0050] On the other hand, the fasteners 12 are released from the fastening holes 11. That is, when the fasteners 12 are screwed in an opposite direction, the screw portions 11c move in a direction away from the head portions 12bA of the fasteners 12 with the rotation of the axial portions 12b of the fasteners 12 in the opposite direction. At this time, the peripheral structures of the screw portions 11c also move away in the same direction with the screw portions 13c. The space between the cutout surfaces 6s is thereby expanded. Due to the expansion of the space, the deformed drum main bodies 2 are elastically restored to the initial shape.
[0051] When the drum main body 2 is restored to its initial shape, the inner diameter of the drum openings 5 (the inner circumferential surfaces 5s) is expanded. This resolves the condition where the drum openings 5 (the inner circumferential surfaces 5s) and the sleeves 8 are in close contact with each other. As a result, the sleeve 8 becomes removable from the drum openings 5. [Advantageous effects of the present invention]
[0052] According to the present embodiment, the fixing device is provided. The sleeves 8 can thereby be bonded and fixed in the drum openings 5 (the drum main body 2 and 3) without using a bonding method such as shrink fitting or cooling fitting.
[0053] According to the present embodiment, the carbon sleeves 8 are removably incorporated into the drum main body 2 (drum) with a cylindrical shape. This alone allows the cylinder to be integrated into the drum main body 2 (drum) as a hollow channel into which screws are rotatably inserted.
[0054] According to the present embodiment, the inner diameter of the drum openings 5 of the main body 2 is set equal to or slightly larger than the outer diameter of the sleeves 8. The sleeves 8 can thus be easily and smoothly inserted (bonded) into the drum openings 5. As a result, the cost required to bond the sleeves 8 into the drum openings 5 can be significantly reduced.
[0055] According to the present embodiment, the slit is formed so that the inner circumferential surfaces 5s of the drum holes 5 are divided. In this case, it becomes easier to elastically deform the drum main body 2. It becomes easier to expand and deform the drum holes 5. The drum holes 5 are thereby expanded and deformed when the sleeves 8 are fitted into the drum holes 5. As a result, the sleeves 8 can be easily and smoothly removably fitted into the drum holes 5.
[0056] According to the present embodiment, in the fixing device, the fasteners 12 are screwed and fastened. That is, the space of the slit S6 (the gap or the space between both cutout surfaces 6s) is narrowed. The drum main bodies 2 are thereby deformed from the initial shape. As a result, the drum openings 5 (the inner circumferential surfaces 5s) can be brought into close contact with the sleeves 8 without a gap. At this time, the sleeves 8 are held in the state where the entire circumferential surfaces of the drum openings 5 (the inner circumferential surfaces 5s) are held without a gap. In this way, the sleeves 8 can be firmly fixed in the drum openings 5.
[0057] According to the present embodiment, in the fixing device, the fasteners 12 are released. That is, the space of the slot 6 (the gap or the space between both cutout surfaces 6s) is expanded. The drum main bodies 2 are thereby restored to their original shape. As a result, the state in which the drum openings 5 (the inner peripheral surfaces 5s) and the sleeves 8 are in close contact with each other is resolved. Thus, the sleeves 8 become removable from the drum openings 5. It becomes possible to remove only the sleeve 8.
[0058] According to the present embodiment, the positioning device is applied. In the drum blocks 1 (the drum main body 2), the orientations of the sleeves 8, which are thereby integrated into the drum openings 5, can be aligned with each other in the same direction. Cylinders in which the cylinder paths 9a and 9b are continuous can thus be easily and accurately formed in a state where the drum blocks 1 (the drum main body 2) are integrated.
[0059] According to the present embodiment, the contours of the outer circumferential surfaces 8s of the sleeves 8 are cylindrical. In this case, a lathe process can be used to machine the outer circumferential surfaces 8s of the sleeves 8. The lathe process is a technique for cutting the outer circumferential surfaces 8s of the doped workpiece (i.e., the sleeve 8) into a circular shape. This can dramatically improve the efficiency of manufacturing the sleeves 8. [Modification]
[0060] In the above-described embodiment, the slit 6 (the gap or both cutout surfaces 6s) having a flat and smooth shape is arranged along a center line (not shown in the figures). The center line denotes a segment intersecting the center of the lower surface 4s of one flank 4a and the center of the lower surface 4s of the other flank 4b in a straight line. The center points denote positions at which the lower surfaces 4s of the flanks 4a and 4b are each divided into two along a longitudinal direction. Thus, in the above-described embodiment, the insertion port 7a and the discharge port 7b are provided at positions avoiding the center line.
[0061] In contrast, in the present modification, the case where the inlet port 7a and the outlet port 7b are arranged along the center line is assumed. In this case, the slit 6 (the gap or both cutout surfaces 6s) is provided at positions avoiding the center line. The slit 6 (the gap or both cutout surfaces 6s) is formed in an omitted profile shape. As shown in Fig. 5 and Fig. 6, the slot 6 (the gap or both cutout surfaces 6s) may, for example, be formed to have a 1st slot portion 6a, a 2nd slot portion 6b, and a profile portion (crank portion) 6c.
[0062] The first slot portion 6a is formed from the lower surface 4s of one flank 4a to a center of the lower surface 3d of the drum main body 2. The first slot portion 6a is provided at a position avoiding the center line. The first slot portion 6a extends straight continuously parallel to the center line.
[0063] The second slot portion 6b is formed from the lower surface 4s of the other flank 4b to a center of the lower surface 3d of the drum main body 2. The second slot portion 6b is provided at a position that avoids the center line. The second slot portion 6b extends straight continuously parallel to the center line.
[0064] The first slot portion 6a and the second slot portion 6b are arranged on both sides of the center line. In this case, the crank portion 6c is formed to connect the first slot portion 6a and the second slot portion 6b to each other at a center of the bottom surface 3d of the drum main body 2. The body portion 6c continues across the center line.
[0065] According to the present modification, the slit 6 (the gap or both cutout surfaces 6s) is formed into an uneven group shape, allowing the introduction port a and the discharge port 7b to remain at positions along the center line, for example, at positions that match existing facilities. As a result, cooling water can be introduced into and discharged from the cooling water path 7 (the channel 7p) while using the existing facilities as they are. The other structures and advantageous effects are identical to those of the above-described embodiment, and thus, description thereof can be omitted.
