Abstract
Description
Technical area
[0001] The present invention relates to a pump installation member for installing a double pump on an installation surface, the double pump having a motor with output shafts extending to opposite sides thereof, respectively, and first and second pump units mounted on the motor so as to hold and surround the motor therebetween from the opposite sides and driven by the respective output shafts associated therewith. Technical background
[0002] In the double pump described above, the first and second pump units have identical housings. The housings are provided with installation parts at respective predetermined positions for installing the double pump on an installation surface (see DE 600 27 202 T2 and DE 601 10 104 T2). If the first and second pump units are accurately mounted on the motor, the pump can be installed so that the installation parts of the first and second pump units correctly face the installation surface. In reality, however, the first and second pump units may be mounted on the motor slightly outside the correct mounting positions. In such a case, the installation parts of the first and second pump units may be misaligned relative to each other, making it impossible to correctly install the pump on the installation surface.
[0003] Furthermore, reference is made to DE 11 2011 105 230 T5, which shows a connecting device for fluid pressure devices, and to US 5 344 291 A, which shows a motor-to-pump intermediate connection. Summary of the invention:Technical problem
[0004] An object of the present invention is to provide a pump installation member which enables a double pump to be correctly installed on an installation surface even when installation parts of the first and second pump units for installing the double pump on the installation surface are misaligned relative to each other. Solution to the problem:
[0005] According to the invention, a pump installation member according to the claims is provided. That is, the present invention provides a pump installation member for installing a double pump on an installation surface, the double pump having a motor with output shafts extending to opposite sides thereof, respectively, and first and second pump units mounted on the motor such that they hold the motor between them from the opposite sides and are driven by the output shafts respectively associated therewith. The pump installation member has first and second support members fixed to predetermined installation parts of the respective first and second pump units. The first and second support members are separate members. The pump installation member further includes an elastic connecting member connecting the first and second support members and having elastic installation members. The elastic connecting member is configured to deform according to a misalignment between the first and second support members that may arise when the first and second support members are attached to the installation parts of the respective first and second pump units. The elastic installation members are configured to be attached to the installation surface to secure the dual pump to the installation surface via the elastic connecting member and the first and second support members.
[0006] Here, the term “elastic installation members for interposing between the first and second support members and the installation surface” should not be construed to mean that it is limited to a configuration in which the elastic installation members are “directly sandwiched between the first and second support members and the installation surface on the other side”, but the term should be construed to mean that the elastic installation members are interposed at an intermediate position between the installation surface and the first and second support members in the vertical direction of the double pump, assuming that the double pump is installed on the installation surface by being placed thereon from above.
[0007] With the configuration described above, the elastic installation members can be inserted between the first and second support members and the installation surface by compressing and deforming them according to the misalignment between the installation parts, even if the installation parts of the first and second pumps are misaligned relative to each other. Therefore, it is possible to securely install the dual pump on the installation surface.
[0008] The elastic connecting element connecting the first and second support members allows the first and second support members to be handled as an integral structure, facilitating the handling of the pump installation element. Furthermore, even if the installation parts of the first and second pump units are misaligned relative to each other, the elastic connecting element is elastically deformed to allow the first and second support members to be properly attached to the installation parts of the corresponding first and second pump units.
[0009] In particular, the first and second support elements may each be a flat plate-shaped element.
[0010] Furthermore, the elastic connecting element can be attached to the first and second support elements on a side thereof facing the installation surface. It should be noted that the elastic connecting element can also be attached to the first and second support elements on a side thereof facing away from the installation surface, and that the elastic connecting element can also be arranged between the first and second support elements.
[0011] In particular, the arrangement may be as follows. The first and second support members are each a flat plate-shaped member, and they are connected to each other by the elastic connecting member, so that the first and second support members are arranged in a single plane, spaced apart from and opposite each other, with opposite edges thereof being parallel to each other.
[0012] More specifically, the elastic connecting member may comprise two elongated elastic members each extending along both sides of the first and second support members disposed opposite to each other.
[0013] Furthermore, the elastic installation members may be configured to extend from the elastic connecting member to respective positions extending outward from side edges of the first and second support members.
[0014] In the case described above, the elastic installation members may each have screw insertion holes extending therethrough from a side closer to the first and second support members to a side closer to the installation surface for passing shanks of screws or bolts for fastening the first and second support members to the installation surface, so that by inserting screws through the screw insertion holes and screwing the screws with screw thread holes provided in the installation surface, the elastic installation members can be compressed by heads of the screws.
[0015] The elastic connecting member may have a protruding fitting portion fitted between the opposite edges of the first and second support members and connected to the first and second support members along the opposite edges thereof. The protruding fitting portion allows the first and second support members to be handled even more effectively as a single plate-shaped structure.
[0016] An embodiment of a pump installation element according to the present invention is explained below based on the accompanying drawings. Short description of the drawings Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a double pump to which a pump installation element according to the present invention is attached. Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the pump installation element. Fig. 3 is an exploded perspective view of the pump installation element. Description of implementation examples
[0017] The illustration of a double pump 12 installed using a pump installation element 10 according to the present invention will be explained first below.
[0018] The dual pump 12 includes a first pump unit 14 and a second pump unit 16 arranged to enclose a motor located in the center, such that the pump units 14 and 16 hold the motor between them from its opposite sides. In the illustrated embodiment, the first and second pump units 14 and 16 have respective first and second housings 14a and 16a that abut each other in the center of the dual pump 12. The motor is disposed within the first and second housings 14a and 16a and is not visible from the outside. The first and second pump units 14 and 16 are each driven by output shafts extending from the opposite sides of the motor to perform a pumping action, thereby discharging fluid from respective outlet ports 14b and 16b.A pipe (not shown) is connected to the outlet ports 14b and 16b to deliver the fluid through the connected pipe.
[0019] The pump installation member 10 is formed as a whole in a flat plate shape and is configured to be attached to the lower side of the double pump 12 as shown in Fig.1. Specifically, the pump installation member 10 includes a first support member 20 and a second support member 22, which respectively support the first pump unit 14 and the second pump unit 16, and an elastic connecting member 24 that connects the first and second support members 20 and 22 to each other. Furthermore, the pump installation member 10 includes leg-shaped elastic installation members 26 that are designed to be placed on an installation surface (not shown) of the dual pump 12 and secured thereto with screws. The first and second support members 20 and 22 each have a substantially rectangular flat plate shape and are arranged in a single plane so as to be spaced apart from and opposed to each other such that the opposite edges thereof are parallel to each other. The first and second support members 20 and 22 have slightly protruding first and second pump support mounting parts 20a and 22a on their respective upper surfaces. The first and second pump support mounting parts 20a and 22a are configured to be mounted on respective installation parts (not shown) provided at predetermined positions of the first and second housings 14a and 16a, and then secured thereto with screws.
[0020] As described above, the first and second housings 14a and 16a abut each other from opposite sides of the motor (not shown) and are connected and secured to each other. In this regard, the positions of the first and second housings 14a and 16a, when connected and secured to each other, may be misaligned relative to each other. Consequently, the first and second support members 20 and 22 attached to the respective misaligned first and second housings 14a and 16a are misaligned relative to each other according to the misalignment between the first and second housings 14a and 16a. This problem is solved by the deformation of the elastic connecting member 24.In the illustrated example, the elastic connecting member 24 includes two elastic members 24a and 24b in the form of elongated strips extending along the side edges of the respective first and second support members 20 and 22. The elastic members 24a and 24b are configured to be connected to the bottom surfaces of the first and second support members 20 and 22 (i.e., to the surfaces of the support members 20 and 22 facing the installation surface of the dual pump), respectively. The elastic members 24a and 24b have protruding fitting portions 24c and 24d, which are respectively fitted into the space between the first and second support members 20 and 22 and which are connected to the first and second support members 20 and 22 along opposite sides thereof.
[0021] The elastic members 24a and 24b are each provided with leg-shaped elastic installation members 26 that extend outward from the respective side edges of the first and second support members 20 and 22. The elastic installation members 26 extend from below the elastic members 24a and 24b, and therefore below the first and second support members 20 and 22, toward the installation surface, so that when the pump installation member 10 is arranged on the installation surface, the elastic installation members 26 are arranged between the first and second support members 20 and 22, on the one hand, and the installation surface, on the other. In the illustrated example, the leg-shaped elastic installation members 26 have respective screw insertion holes 26a for passing the shanks of screws or bolts (not shown) through which to fasten the first and second support members 20 and 22 to the installation surface.Consequently, by inserting screws through the screw insertion holes 26a and screwably engaging the screws with the screw holes provided in the installation surface, the elastic installation members 26 can be compressed by the heads of the screws. In the illustrated example, the elastic installation members 26 have respective screw head receiving portions 26b for receiving the screw heads. According to the elastic installation members 26, even when the first and second support members 20 and 22 are misaligned relative to each other and are not in the same plane, by fixing the elastic installation members 26 to the installation surface with the screws, it is possible to absorb the misalignment between the first and second support members 20 and 22, thereby enabling the first and second support members 20 and 22 to be securely fixed to the installation surface.
[0022] Although an embodiment of the pump installation member 10 according to the present invention has been shown above, the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, since the first and second support members 20 and 22 are displaced toward the installation surface when the pump installation member 10 is attached to the installation surface, the elastic installation members 26 are only required to be elastically deformable. For example, it is possible to use elastic installation members configured to be elastically deformable when fastening screws are passed through the first and second support members 20 and 22 and screwably engaged with screw holes provided in the installation surface. Accordingly, in this case, the elastic installation members may be directly provided on the undersides of the first and second support members 20 and 22.
