Abstract

Battery cell comprising: an electrode assembly comprising a first tab, the first tab being arranged around the central axis of the electrode assembly; a housing for receiving the electrode assembly, the housing comprising a cylindrical body and a cover body connected to the cylindrical body, the cylindrical body being arranged around the outer circumference of the electrode assembly, the cover body being provided with an electrode outlet hole, the central axis extending along a first direction and passing through the electrode outlet hole, the first tab comprising a first annular section positioned opposite the cover body, the projection of the first annular section in the first direction not overlapping with the projection of the electrode outlet hole in the first direction; an electrode terminal being located inside the electrode outlet hole;and a current collector element that is positioned at least partially between the cover body and the first annular section, wherein the current collector element serves to connect the first annular section and the electrode connection, thereby establishing an electrical connection between the first tab and the electrode connection.
