DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS
[0013] In Fig. Figure 1 illustrates an embodiment in accordance with the present invention. Before proceeding with a detailed description, general explanations of the embodiments will follow.
[0014] According to the invention, a multifunctional glove for accommodating self-protection devices comprises: a first receiving device which is designed to receive a spray device, in particular an irritant spray device, on the inner palm of the multifunctional glove, so that the spray device can be operated with the thumb, and a second receiving device which is designed to receive an alarm device, in particular a light signal device, wherein the second receiving device is designed and arranged in a back-of-the-hand region of the multifunctional glove and has an opening such that an actuating element, which is arranged on the alarm device arranged in the receiving device, protrudes from the opening and can be operated to trigger the alarm device, and / or an operative connection for connecting the spray device to the alarm device is designed and arranged on the multifunctional glove such thatthat the alarm of the alarm device can be triggered by activating the spray device.
[0015] There are designs in which the alarm device further comprises an audio alarm device and a locating signal device.
[0016] The multifunctional glove is a glove with two sewn outer pockets (receiving devices). The outer pocket (second receptacle) on the back of the hand contains the so-called alarm button (the alarm device), which emits light (the light signal device) and siren sounds (the audio alarm device). These can be used as a deterrent to ward off danger. A tracking device, which enables GPS tracking (or Bluetooth, such as an Apple AirTag), is also integrated into the alarm device. The alarm device can be a device that combines all of these functions in a single housing or a system of devices that are provided in multiple housings and can be housed in one or more receptacles. The second receptacle has an opening through which an actuating element of the alarm device protrudes from the second receptacle and can thus be actuated (when the alarm device is arranged therein). The actuating element can be a switch, a button, or a removable pin. As soon as the switch is switched, the button is pushed, or the pin is removed, an alarm can be triggered.
[0017] The audio alarm device can emit an alarm in the form of a siren, a continuous tone, speech (a warning or a call for help; for example, repeatedly) or an audio signal in a code, e.g. Morse code.
[0018] The light signal device can emit a colour signal, a continuous light or a flashing signal (e.g. also in Morse code, if necessary synchronised with the Morse code of the audio alarm device) as an alarm.
[0019] A self-defense spray (spray device) can be integrated into the inner pocket (first receptacle) on the palm of the hand. With a light touch, it dispenses the required amount and dose of an effective agent. This spray device is mounted in the receptacle in such a way that it can be easily operated with the thumb.
[0020] The alarm device used is an audio alarm device (including battery and accessories), a light signal device, and a tracking signal device, for example an Apple Air Tag.
[0021] Activating the alarm device with a switch or by pulling a pin triggers a clearly visible light signal and a shrill siren sound. This primarily serves to deter a potential attacker. Furthermore, it can also be used in ski and hiking areas to facilitate the location of lost persons, especially when supplemented by the use of a (GPS) tracking device.
[0022] The spray device (the defense spray), located in the holder on the palm of the hand, can be activated by pressing a spray head (pump) and allows the agent to be dispensed (by pumping) in both horizontal and vertical positions, particularly when using an Abus defense spray. The spray device (and the alarm device) are particularly useful for warding off danger from attackers and attacking animals, especially when walking in the dark, in forests, and on hikes.
[0023] The active connection allows the alarm device to be triggered by activating the spray device, allowing activation and triggering to occur simultaneously, for example. This can detect the activation or pressing of the spray head and transmit this information to the alarm device via the active connection, triggering the alarm (also without an audio alarm device and locating signal device).
[0024] The multifunctional glove offers flexible and dynamic integration of hazard and emergency response tools. The multifunctional glove can also be used as a regular glove without the defense spray (spray device) and / or the light alarm device (light signal device).
[0025] There are versions in which the multifunctional glove is designed as a short-finger glove.
[0026] The multifunctional glove can be freely selected, for example, depending on the season, where a short-fingered glove is used in summer, or a fashionable or "outdoor" glove depending on the occasion. The intended use for these gloves is, for example, walking, skiing, and hiking. The textiles and materials can also be adapted.
[0027] There are designs in which the multifunctional glove comprises a material at least at the tip of the index finger or thumb which is designed to enable the operation of a touchscreen with at least one of the index finger or thumb.
[0028] The ability to operate a smartphone without having to remove the multifunctional glove is particularly advantageous in dangerous situations when contacting the responsible authorities (this also applies to the short-fingered glove).
[0029] There are versions where the active connection is an electrical connection.
[0030] An electrical active connection enables the electrical transmission of a signal indicative of the actuation of the spray device. The actuation can be detected by electronics (actuation detector) on the spray device (e.g., on the spray head), with the electronics transmitting a signal to the active connection based on the actuation. The signal can, for example, be an electrical signal according to common communication standards. However, the signal can also simply be the opening, closing, or energization of an electrical circuit that includes the active connection, the electronics of the spray device, and the alarm device. The actuation detector can be a switch that, for example, connects or disconnects two contacts when the spray head is actuated or released.
[0031] According to the invention, a hazard prevention system for protection in dangerous situations, comprising: the multifunctional glove according to one of the above embodiments, a spray device, in particular an irritant spray device, which can be received in the first receiving device of the multifunctional glove, and / or an alarm device, in particular a light signal device, which can be received in the second receiving device of the multifunctional glove, wherein an alarm of the alarm device comprises a light signal and can be triggered by means of the actuating element and / or by means of the operative connection.
[0032] There are embodiments in which the alarm device further comprises an audio alarm device and a locating signal device and the alarm of the alarm device comprises an audio alarm and a locating signal.
[0033] The hazard prevention system therefore includes the multifunctional glove, the alarm device and the spray device, as already described above.
[0034] There are designs in which the spray device comprises a spray head having an actuation detector, wherein the spray head is configured to spray an active agent accommodated in the spray device and the actuation detector is configured to detect the actuation of the spray head and a signal indicative of the actuation of the spray head is transmitted from the actuation detector to the active connection.
[0035] Activation of the spray device can be either by releasing a safety catch or by activating a spray mechanism on the spray head. This means that the alarm device's alarm can be triggered via the active connection either when the spray head's safety catch is released but the agent has not yet been sprayed, or when the agent is being sprayed. A safety catch can be a flap, a slide, or a pin that covers or blocks the spray mechanism when the safety catch is activated.
[0036] There are designs in which the actuation detector comprises an electrical switching device which is coupled to the active connection and is configured such that a switching state of the switching device changes with an actuation of the spray head, wherein a current can flow in the active connection depending on the switching state and the alarm device is configured to detect the current flow and thus the switching state and to trigger an alarm of the alarm device in the event of a change in the switching state.
[0037] An electronic switching device can, for example, be a switch consisting of two contacts that are connected or disconnected when the spray device is activated. The contacts can be connected or disconnected, for example, when the safety device is released, or they can also be connected or disconnected when the spray mechanism of the spray head is pressed (activated). This solution has a small number of components and therefore fewer points of failure, resulting in increased reliability, which is beneficial for hazard prevention.
[0038] There are embodiments in which the positioning signal device comprises a GPS device and is configured to emit a GPS-based positioning signal.
[0039] There are designs in which the locating signal device comprises a burial search device and is designed to emit a periodic radio signal that can be located in a close range.
[0040] A tracking device can transmit the position of a user of the emergency response system (the multifunctional glove) or draw attention to that position. This is beneficial both in dangerous situations caused by attackers or animals, as well as in dangerous situations caused by (natural) disasters or weather conditions, as it makes it easier for rescue personnel to locate the user of the emergency response system.
[0041] In dangerous situations such as an attack or weather conditions, such as a storm or flooding, tracking signals can be transmitted that provide rescue personnel with the user's direct location (e.g., a position determined by GPS). If the user is buried due to a (natural) disaster such as an earthquake, avalanche, landslide, or the failure of man-made buildings or infrastructure, a transmitted tracking signal, consisting of periodic pulses, for example, can assist rescue personnel in locating the buried user (in close range).
[0042] According to the invention, a spray head for a spray device is provided, wherein the spray device can be used in the hazard prevention system according to one of the above embodiments, wherein the spray head is configured to spray an active agent accommodated in the spray device and the actuation detector is configured to detect the actuation of the spray head and is further configured to transmit a signal indicative of the actuation of the spray head from the actuation detector to an active connection.
[0043] The spray head may include a safety device and a spray mechanism, wherein the spray mechanism is configured to spray the irritant and the safety mechanism is configured to secure the spray mechanism against unintentional spraying of the irritant.
[0044] The actuation detector can be designed as described above and, for example, close, open, or energize a circuit when the spray device (spray head) is actuated. The circuit is connected to the alarm device via the active connection.
[0045] According to the invention, an alarm device which can be used in the hazard prevention system according to one of the above embodiments is provided, wherein the alarm device is designed to detect an actuation by the actuation detector of a spray head according to the above embodiments and to trigger an alarm upon detection of an actuation.
[0046] The alarm device is therefore designed to measure the current flowing in the circuit and, for example, to energize the circuit. This allows the alarm device to detect whether the spray device is activated based on the measured current.
[0047] The alarm device may include the audio alarm, light signal and locating signal devices described above.
[0048] Ideally, this invention can provide protection for users moving around in public spaces, for example, in the dark or in remote locations. This invention can be worn while jogging, walking, dog walking, hiking, and skiing. Users can thus ward off dangers or make themselves known after an accident or an attack.
[0049] The primary intention of this invention is to avert danger and emergencies. Optionally, you can choose between the light and siren device as a milder deterrent method and the defense spray, or even a combination of both. Protection can be provided within seconds and contributes to a high level of safety without the use of a dangerous product that could pose a consequential health risk to third parties.
[0050] Returning to Fig. 1 shows a back of the hand of a multifunctional glove according to an embodiment.
[0051] The multifunctional glove 1 comprises a receiving device 10 on the edge of the hand, an opening 11, a receiving device 12 on the crook of the thumb, an opening 13 and an active connection 14.
[0052] The multifunctional glove 1 is shown as a finger glove. However, the multifunctional glove 1 can also be designed as a mitten or a short-finger glove.
[0053] The receiving devices 10 and 12 are formed on the back of the multifunctional glove 1. The receiving devices 10 and 12 are depicted as pockets sewn onto the back of the multifunctional glove 1.
[0054] An alarm device (not shown) that combines all functions (audio alarm, light signal, and location signal) in one housing can, for example, be inserted into the pocket-shaped receptacle 10 (or 12). Furthermore, the receptacle 10 contains an opening 11 through which an alarm device (or an actuating element) located in the receptacle 10 can be operated.
[0055] The same applies to the receiving device 12 and the opening 13 arranged on the receiving device 12.
[0056] However, if the alarm device is formed in two housings, the alarm device can be accommodated in both receptacles 10 and 12 simultaneously. Furthermore, additional receptacles can be provided, for example, to accommodate an alarm device that is embodied in multiple housings.
[0057] The active connection 14 is, for example, formed on the back of the hand and extends from the receiving devices 10 and 12 to the crook of the thumb. The active connection 14 can be sewn into the back of the hand of the multifunctional glove 1. A spray device (or a spray head) (not shown) is connected to the active connection 14, which is located in a receiving device ( Fig. 2) is mounted on the palm of the multifunctional glove, can be connected to the alarm device in the receptacles 10 and 12. The active connection 14 can be designed as an electrical connection. An actuation detector in the spray head can open or close an electrical circuit (change the switching state), whereby a current flows or not flows in the active connection. The change in the current flow allows the alarm device to detect spraying by the spray head or the release of the spray head, and an alarm can be triggered.
[0058] Fig. 2 shows a palm of a multifunctional glove according to an embodiment.
[0059] The multifunctional glove 1 comprises a receiving device 30. The multifunctional glove 1 is as in Fig. 1, and the receiving device 30 is designed to accommodate a spray device (not shown). A spray device is, for example, a defense spray or irritant spray.
[0060] The receiving device 30 is designed as a pocket extending from an opening at the crook of the thumb along the ball of the hand. The spray device can be inserted into the pocket through the opening, allowing a spray head of the spray device to be operated with the thumb, while the remaining fingers can close around the spray device without preventing or hindering spraying.
[0061] Furthermore, the multifunctional glove 1 comprises a material 31 and 32 at the tip of the index finger and / or thumb to enable (multi-gesture) control of a touchscreen (not shown). The material 31 and 32 is, for example, electrically conductive, so that a touchscreen can detect a change in capacitance near the material 31 and 32.
[0062] Furthermore, the multifunctional glove 1 can include a surface texture 33, which is formed, for example, with nubs. The surface texture 33 can improve grip when grasping with the multifunctional glove 1.
[0063] Fig. 3 shows schematically a danger prevention system according to an embodiment.
[0064] The hazard prevention system 100 comprises a multifunctional glove 1, an alarm device 16, and a spray device 36. The multifunctional glove 1 comprises receiving devices 10, 12, and 30 and the active connection 14. The receiving devices 10 and 12 are arranged on the back of the hand of the multifunctional glove 1 and accommodate the alarm device 16. The receiving device 30 is arranged on the palm of the multifunctional glove 1 and accommodates the spray device 36 such that it can be operated by a user wearing the multifunctional glove 1.
[0065] The alarm device 16 comprises an audio alarm device 17, a light signal device 18, a locating signal device 19 and an actuating element 22.
[0066] If an alarm of the alarm device 16 is triggered, the audio alarm device 17 emits an audio alarm, the light signal device 18 emits a light signal and the locating signal device 19 emits a locating signal.
[0067] The audio alarm of the audio alarm device 17 includes sirens, continuous tones, speech, messages, for example, in Morse code, or a combination thereof. The light signal of the light signal device 18 includes a color signal, a flashing signal, for example, a periodic flashing, a flashing with a message in Morse code, or a combination thereof. The actuating element 22 is configured to trigger the alarm. The actuating element 22 includes, for example, a switch that triggers the alarm when actuated, or a pin that can be arranged in a recess in the alarm device 16, as well as a detector that detects whether the pin is arranged in the recess. If the pin is not arranged in the recess, the alarm is triggered.
[0068] The locating signal device 19 comprises a GPS device 20 and a burial search device 21. The GPS device 20 determines the GPS position of the locating signal device 19, and the locating signal device 19 emits a signal containing the GPS position. This signal can be emitted in all common frequency bands using all common protocols, for example, mobile radio, Bluetooth, or satellite internet (satellite telephony).
[0069] After triggering an alarm, the burial search device 21 emits a signal (similar to an avalanche search device, avalanche transceiver) with periodic pulses, which can be received by a receiver in a close range, whereby location is made possible by determining a direction to the signal source and the strength of the signal.
[0070] The spray device 36 comprises a spray head 37 and an actuation detector 38. The spray head 37 serves to spray the contents of the spray device 36. The contents of the spray device are an active agent for repelling an attacker or an animal, for example an irritant.
[0071] The actuation detector 38 detects an actuation of the spray device 36. An actuation of the spray device 36 comprises, for example, releasing a safety device (not shown) of the spray head 37 or pressing (actuating) a spray mechanism of the spray head 37 or pressing in the spray head 37. The actuation can be detected, for example, by means of a switching device, wherein the switching device closes or opens contacts upon actuation and thus opens or closes an electrical circuit that includes the active connection 14 and the alarm device 16. Opening the contacts as a detection interrupts the electrical circuit when there is a slight movement of the switching device, and closing the contacts as a detection saves power because the electrical circuit is normally interrupted.
[0072] The spray head 37 can continuously spray the active agent when it is held under pressure in the spray device 36 by opening a valve upon operation. However, the spray head can also spray an active agent through a pumping movement using a pumping device, for example, when the active agent is held without pressure.
[0073] The active connection 14 is, for example, an electrical connection with, for example, two wires, each connected to one of the contacts of the switching device of the actuation detector 38. Thus, the active connection 14 forms an electrical circuit with the switch, which is supplied with power by the alarm device 16. The current flowing therein is detected by the alarm device 16 to determine the switching state of the actuation detector and to trigger an alarm when the spray device 36 is actuated.
[0074] Fig.4 shows a security system according to an embodiment.
[0075] The hazard prevention system 100 comprises a multifunctional glove 1, an alarm device 16 and a spray device 36.
[0076] The multifunctional glove 1 comprises a receiving device 10 (receiving devices 12 and 30 may also be included) and an operative connection 14. The receiving device 10 is arranged on the back of the hand of the multifunctional glove 1, comprises an opening 11 and accommodates the alarm device 16, which is represented by a dashed box.
[0077] The receiving device (not shown), which is arranged on the palm of the multifunctional glove 1, receives the spray device 36 so that it can be operated (with the thumb) by a user wearing the multifunctional glove 1.
[0078] An actuating element 22 is arranged on the alarm device 16. The actuating element 22 is configured to trigger the alarm. The actuating element 22 comprises a pin with a finger ring, which can be arranged in a recess (not shown) on the alarm device 16, as well as a detector that detects whether the pin is arranged in the recess. If the pin is not arranged in the recess, the alarm is triggered. The actuating element 22 extends through the opening 11 out of the receiving device 10 and can be removed in dangerous situations, thereby triggering the alarm. The alarm device 16 is connected to the spray device 36 via the operative connection 14.
[0079] The spray device 36 comprises the spray head 37, which includes an actuation detector 38. The actuation detector 38 detects actuation of the spray device 36. Actuation of the spray device 36 includes, for example, releasing a safety device (not shown) of the spray head 37 or pressing (actuating) a spray mechanism of the spray head 37 or pressing in the spray head 37. The actuation can be detected, for example, by means of a switching device, wherein the switching device closes or opens contacts upon actuation and thus opens or closes an electrical circuit that includes the active connection 14 and the alarm device 16. Opening the contacts as a detection interrupts the electrical circuit when there is only a slight movement of the switching device, and closing the contacts as a detection saves power because the electrical circuit is normally interrupted.
[0080] By detecting whether the circuit is closed or open or whether the switching state has changed, the alarm device 16 can trigger the alarm.
[0081] The two options for triggering the alarm complement each other. If a user wearing the multifunctional glove 1 (the hazard prevention system 100) only wants to trigger the alarm, only the actuating device 22 can be actuated (the pin pulled). If the user needs to fend off an attacker / animal, the user can spray the agent from the spray device 36 in the direction of the attacker / animal and simultaneously trigger the alarm (via the active connection 14). Additionally, the alarm can also be triggered as a first attempt by actuating the actuating element 22 when fending off an attacker / animal, before the agent is sprayed as a second defensive attempt.
[0082] However, if the active compound 14 is not arranged on the multifunctional glove 1, or is not connected to the alarm device 16 or the spray device 36, the active agent can be sprayed separately from the triggering of the alarm.
