Description

[0001] The invention relates to a kit for an encryption system for mobile telephones.

[0002] Various encryption systems are known, such as crypto phones, as well as software that can be used with computers to encrypt and decrypt data. Crypto phones are very expensive compared to regular cell phones, and there are only a few providers, so the choice of devices is limited. Furthermore, these devices are standardized; the user must use the technology installed in the device and cannot use their own encryption technology, which allows attackers to adapt to this. The hardware of the crypto phone cannot simply be replaced or upgraded by the user, which means that attackers can adapt to this hardware as well.Commercially available encryption software from various companies uses mathematical methods such as the AES algorithm. Users must trust the software. Due to a lack of programming knowledge, they cannot independently check whether it is functioning properly. They also cannot intervene in the encryption process and use self-created encryption methods because the software's predefined mathematical method is used during decryption. Many companies require these certified encryption methods, and therefore, they cannot simply be deviated from.In the wake of numerous wiretapping scandals, it has become known that all encryption methods used by government intelligence agencies can be decrypted using various methods, and that they are specifically searching for data encrypted using standardized encryption technology, i.e., data that takes the form of an encrypted message. Furthermore, various methods used by intelligence agencies have become known in which they penetrate the device used for encryption and read the data before the encryption process, rendering the software encryption methods ineffective.

[0003] The invention specified in claim 1 is based on the problem of creating a kit for an encryption system with which data can be encrypted without additional encryption software with which the user can design and use his own encryption with which the encryption is freely configurable with which the user can encrypt his data before using the encryption programs prescribed by IT departments, so that he receives additional security for his data and can comply with all applicable regulations which allows multiple encryption levels on a hardware and software basis to be used when encrypting with which the degree of encryption can be freely selected with which texts, images, videos and telephone calls can be encrypted with spoken word which makes it more difficult to intercept, steal and manipulate data, which makes a phone more secure against intrusion for encryption, with which a positioning device is arranged in the housing of the mobile phone so that the kit for an encryption system can be used at any time. with which more mobile phones are sold, as a second device is necessary with which data can be transferred and outsourced to another computer system such as a mobile phone safely and quickly without an internet connection or memory card exchange with which data can be transferred to other devices or into a fiber optic network without using the mobile phone number or SIM card number or the telephone number with which different mobile phones can be used for encryption

[0004] This problem is solved according to the invention by that the kit consists of two mobile phones, a positioning device, several connecting elements, commercially available software for text, sound, image and video processing and a USB connector in which a camera, a light-sensitive photodiode, a microphone, a loudspeaker and a connection socket for fiber optic cables are arranged

[0005] Several embodiments of the invention are described with reference to Fig. 1 to 10. They show Fig. 1 two mobile phones connected via the positioning device Fig. 2 The positioning device Fig. 3 Positioning device design Fig. 4 Positioning device design Fig. 5 Positioning device design Fig. 6 encryptions Fig. 7 encryptions Fig. 8 encryptions Fig. 9 The connecting elements Fig. 10 examples of fasteners

[0006] Based on the shortcomings of the known technology, it is proposed that the kit consists of two mobile phones, a positioning device, several connecting elements and commercially available software for text, sound, image and video processing.

[0007] For the kit (1), commercially available modern mobile phones (smartphones) can be used. They are arranged in the positioning device (3) so that the camera (4) of one phone is directed at the screen (5) of the other phone, and at a distance that allows photographing the screen (5). Both phones (17), (18) contain commercially available software programs (6) for image, sound, video, and text editing, as well as database programs such as those included in OpenOffice. For encryption, one phone is operated online with a SIM card (17) so that a wireless connection to the Internet is maintained. The second smartphone (18) always remains offline and is operated without a SIM card from the start. The necessary software apps are downloaded from sources that provide an APK file for the software and installed on the offline phone using a memory card, without the phone going online via SIM or WLAN connection. If data has been created on an offline PC, for example using a word processor, this can be transferred to the offline phone via a memory card and encrypted there using the software programs. Various well-known encryption methods can be used for this. With the help of a database in which thousands of images are stored, individual words, for example, can be assigned to an image.Once the text has been converted into a series of images, these can be displayed sequentially on the screen, for example, as a slideshow. The online mobile phone (17) located in the positioning device (3) films the screen (5) of the offline mobile phone with its camera (4). The online mobile phone (17) now contains the text converted into a series of images as a video that can be sent over the Internet. The recipient of the encrypted message has the same images in a database on their offline mobile phone. They receive the video with the sequence of images, for example, as an email with the video as an attachment, and can play it on their online mobile phone (17). The screen (5) is filmed by the offline mobile phone (18) with the camera (4), and the sequence of images in the offline mobile phone (18) is therefore in the database program, which contains the same images as the sender and which were exchanged before communication between sender and receiver, for example on a DVD (7).For encryption, the communication interfaces of the mobile phones, such as the microphone (8), the camera (4), and the loudspeaker (9), are used instead of a radio connection. Neither the device number nor the telephone number or other data of the mobile phones are transmitted, so that, similar to a personal conversation, only the content of the conversation is transmitted. The individual interfaces of the mobile phones, such as the photo flash diode (10), are used for communication between the mobile phones, but also for connecting an offline mobile phone (18) to a fiber optic network (11). A sequence of light signals is sent from the mobile phone (18) to the fiber optic network (11). This signal can be read out at the other end of the line. The properties of modern smartphones can also be used for this type of communication without the device IP or other data having to be sent for communication. The two cell phones (17 / 18) in the positioning device (3) can be upgraded with additional technology so that, for example, the signal for the photo flash diode (10) on the cell phone controls a plugged-in laser pointer (12), which sends light signals to a distant digital camera with a telephoto lens (13). In this way, a long-distance data connection could be established at very low cost, operating at the speed of light without fiber optic cables. The positioning device, in various designs, has a glass pane (14) arranged between the cell phones, onto which various patterns can be projected, which appear in the photo when the screen (5) is taken. In this way, the recordings can be supplemented with additional image information. It is also possible to overlay different colors on the image so that additional information can be saved on the image.A control PC (15) can be arranged on the positioning device (3), which can control all additional technical devices arranged thereon, such as LEDs (16) and loudspeakers (9), so that precise manipulation of the images or videos can take place. The technical capabilities of smartphones do not limit the types of encryption. Everything that can be displayed or generated via the mobile phone interfaces, such as the screen (5), the loudspeaker (9), or the microphone (8), can be used for encryption and transmission to the other mobile phone, as well as for sending via the internet via the online mobile phone. Attackers cannot detect that the image content is linked to further information, nor can they deduce this without a database and the text assigned to the image.

[0008] Both phones contain commercially available software programs (6) for image, sound, video, and text editing, as well as database programs such as those included in OpenOffice. For encryption, one phone is operated online (17) with a SIM card, providing a wireless internet connection. The second smartphone (18) always remains offline and is operated without a SIM card from the start. The necessary software apps are available for download from the internet. They can be transferred to the mobile devices using a memory card and installed there without an internet connection.

[0009] In a favorable embodiment, the positioning system (3) is designed as part of the housing of the mobile telephone (17), which can either be pulled out of the housing or folded out via hinges so that it can be used at any time.

[0010] In a more advanced form, the positioning system consists of rails attached to one cell phone, over which the second phone can be slid over the screen of the other. Scales are attached to the rails so that the position of the camera pointing at the display can be precisely determined and repeatedly moved to. This makes it possible to repeatedly locate and photograph only a small part of the display. With this embodiment, the two phones can then be worked with a closer distance from each other, leading to more practical use on the go. This embodiment further increases data security because attackers do not know which part of the display is being photographed and used for encryption.

[0011] Another, more advanced version of the encryption kit involves placing a two-part, fold-out plastic surface on the narrow end of one of the phones. This surface can be used to determine the distance and position of the two phones relative to each other when both phones are placed on a table surface facing each other on their long sides. Depending on the location of the camera on the back of the recording phone, the positioning surface is folded out accordingly, and the phone is then placed on this surface so that the camera can record the display in the center.

[0012] Another version of the kit includes plastic templates that correspond to various cell phone case shapes with the corresponding camera lens arrangement. The user can then attach the template to one of the phones, hold the second phone to the template, and photograph the display to use the encryption system.

[0013] In a more advanced version, the housing of one of the phones is made of transparent plastic and contains fold-out spacers. The housing is then removed to use the encryption system and placed on the front of the phone. The second phone is placed on top of this housing, and the screen can then be photographed.

[0014] In a further development, the cameras on mobile phones specifically manufactured for this encryption system are positioned centrally on the back, allowing the devices to be aligned flush with each other in a positioning system. The positioning system then consists of spacers arranged around the casings of the two mobile phones, allowing the distance between the two devices to be continuously adjusted.

[0015] In a further developed form, the kit includes mirror elements that are arranged on the recording phone, which, via optical distortion, display the screen arranged to the side and diagonally to the mirror element undistorted for the camera lens, so that both phones can be arranged at a short distance from each other in order to use the encryption system.

[0016] In another embodiment, the kit features a clip-on hood that can be plugged onto one or more fiber optic cables. It can be used to transmit light, audio, or video signals into the fiber optic cable without stray light, either using the photoLED or a laser diode connected to the mobile phone. This clip-on hood features a rubber rim that prevents stray light from entering the clip-on hood during light signal transmission from the mobile phone and interfering with the signals.

[0017] In a further developed embodiment, the encryption kit includes a connection hood that has a standardized connection for fiber optic cables such as those used for data transmission, so that the connection hood can be connected to all installed fiber optic connections at amplifier stations or at nodes.

[0018] In a further developed embodiment, the encryption kit includes a digital camera with a telephoto lens with an attachment containing a laser pointer that radiates in the direction of the lens, so that this digital camera can be used as a light transmitting and receiving station, preferably on tall buildings.

[0019] In a further developed version, the encryption kit includes a fiber optic cable with two connection sockets that are glued to the camera or photo LED of a mobile phone, so that the light signals from the phone can be transmitted directly into the fiber optic cable without any loss, creating a tap-proof data connection.

[0020] In another advantageous embodiment, the fiber optic cable consists of two separate fiber optic strands, each with a connection socket for the photo LED and a connection socket for the camera. Both mobile phones can then use these fiber optic cables to send LED light signals and receive light signals with the camera. This cable can then establish bidirectional communication without mutual interference between the light signals. Both mobile phones act as transmitters and receivers. With appropriate amplifier stations, fiber optic cables can be operated even over long distances.

[0021] In a more advanced version, the signal transmission device consists of a tube with a rubber bead on both ends and a movable partition. This device is placed over the camera lens and the camera LED. The second mobile phone, with the camera LED and camera lens, is then held over the device, allowing both mobile phones to generate LED signals and also record and evaluate the light signals via the camera lenses without stray light interfering with the signal transmission.

[0022] In an improved embodiment, an opaque rubber seal is placed around the camera lens and LED light on a mobile phone. This allows another mobile phone of the same design, with its camera lens and photo LED, to be pressed onto this rubber seal without the need for a connecting element. Light signals can be transmitted between the phones without any disruptive stray light. The encryption kit includes several rubber seals of various sizes and shapes that can be glued around the camera lens and photo LED of commercially available mobile phones, allowing light signals to be transmitted with another phone without stray light.

[0023] In a more advanced version, both phones in the kit have a connection socket for a fiber optic cable, allowing the devices to communicate via this optical connection. To do this, the software transmits the signal from the photo LED to this fiber optic socket, allowing the light signals to reach the fiber optic connection. The socket has a camera or a light-sensitive photocell that can capture the light signals from the fiber optic cable and transmit them as electronic signals.

[0024] In a further developed version, the kit includes a USB connector with a rubber-rimmed connector hood, which contains a fiber optic connection, a camera system, a microcontroller, a loudspeaker, and a microphone. This USB connector can be connected to all commercially available computers and cell phones. The light signals from the photo LED in a cell phone held against the connector are converted into electrical impulses via the connector's integrated camera or a light-sensitive photo LED, which can then be processed in the PC. Using the interfaces, microphone, and loudspeaker located in the connector, sounds and other signals generated by a cell phone can be recorded and forwarded to a PC. With this system, all computers worldwide can be equipped with an opto-electrical access system.

[0025] In a more advanced version, instead of a second offline mobile phone containing the encryption databases, an MP3 player with a display is used, which is located in the battery compartment of the online mobile phone. The mobile phone's battery is designed accordingly smaller; to utilize the encryption, the MP3 player is removed from the battery compartment and used to communicate with the online mobile phone.

[0026] In an extended version, the kit includes instructions for various encryption systems, which can be supplemented with updates online.
