Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a device for supporting the installation of wall-mounted toilets, with which a wall-mounted toilet can be positioned in the intended installation position on a wall and then firmly arranged on the wall using the special fastening means.
[0002] With current technology, wall-mounted toilets are usually installed by two people or with the assistance of mechanical lifting devices. These are often made of metal or plastic and are expensive to purchase and cumbersome to handle.
[0003] State-of-the-art lifting devices are also heavy, which makes transport and storage difficult.
[0004] The object of the invention is therefore to create a new device to support the installation of wall-mounted toilets, which is of simple construction and allows the installation of wall-mounted toilets by only one person and is also universal.
[0005] The solution to the problem arises from a device for supporting the installation of wall-mounted toilets according to claim 1, which reads as follows: Device to support the installation of wall-mounted toilets, characterized in that the device is formed from a mounting block made essentially of cardboard, which has a cavity on the top to accommodate a drain bend of the wall-mounted toilet as well as a surrounding storage area for the underside of the wall-mounted toilet, whereby the height of the mounting block is adapted to the mounting height of the wall-mounted toilet.
[0006] The device according to the invention for supporting the installation of wall-mounted toilets is initially made of sturdy cardboard in a cost-effective manner and is designed to bear the weight of the toilet and relieve the fitter during installation.
[0007] According to the invention, the wall-mounted toilet, which is securely arranged on the device, is pushed to the intended mounting position on the wall by just one fitter, so that the toilet can be fixed to the wall in the desired position.
[0008] Advantageously, this significantly reduces the need for physical exertion and reduces the risk of injury and misalignment during the installation process.
[0009] In one embodiment of the invention, the mounting block is designed as a straight-edged U-profile, which advantageously provides, on the one hand, a storage surface running around three sides and, on the other hand, a hollow space for removing the drain bend.
[0010] Advantageously, in a further embodiment, the mounting block may be formed from a honeycomb structure plate made of cardboard, which is wrapped in corrugated paper and kraft paper.
[0011] It is also conceivable for the mounting block to be formed from several honeycomb panels glued together, whereby the shape of the mounting block can also be adapted to the internal dimensions of a packaging box for the wall-mounted toilet. This has the advantage that the mounting block then fulfills a certain protective function beneath the fragile wall-mounted toilet in the transport box.
[0012] In summary, the advantages of the device according to the invention for supporting the installation of wall-mounted toilets are, firstly, that ergonomically advantageously only one fitter can mount the toilet precisely on the wall at the desired height without great physical effort, which also makes the entire installation process more efficient.
[0013] Furthermore, the device according to the invention for supporting the installation of wall-mounted toilets can be implemented at low cost, since the mounting block consists of a cardboard product that is inexpensive to manufacture and inexpensive to dispose of.
[0014] If the cardboard is made from recycled products, the device according to the invention for supporting the installation of wall-mounted toilets can be seen as a sustainable product, with the ecological footprint being small due to the low weight and easy transport of this device.
[0015] Further advantages of the invention will become apparent from the description of an exemplary embodiment. It shows: Fig. 1 Representation of a wall-mounted toilet in side view, Fig. 2 diagonal exploded view of wall-mounted WC and mounting block, Fig. 3 various images of a mounting block designed as a straight-edged U-profile and Fig. 4 Illustration of a wall-mounted toilet positioned with a mounting block
[0016] In the figures, a device for supporting the installation of wall-mounted toilets - hereinafter referred to as mounting block - is designated overall by the reference number 10.
[0017] In the exemplary embodiment, the mounting block 10 is designed as a straight-edged U-profile 11 and has a base part 12 and two legs 13. A cavity 14 is arranged between the legs 13.
[0018] The base part 12 has a width of 37 cm, with the legs 13 with a length of 32 cm being arranged in a form-fitting manner at each end of the base part 12 facing the wall W (see Fig. 3a-c).
[0019] In the Fig. 3c shows the internal structure of the straight-edged U-profile 11. It has two approximately 5 cm thick honeycomb panels WP, a corrugated cardboard P surrounding the honeycomb panel WP and a wrapping made of kraft paper K.
[0020] In the Fig. 1 schematically shows a wall-mounted WC 15 with sanitary ceramics 16, lid 17 and the drain bend 18 protruding from the contour from below.
[0021] As in particular the Fig. 2 and Fig. 4 in connection with the Fig. 3, the mounting block 10 has a U-shaped support surface 19 on the upper side facing the wall-mounted WC 15, which support surface 19 encloses the cavity 14 on which the underside 20 of the wall-mounted WC 15 rests in the mounting position ( Fig. 4), whereby the drain bend 18 dips into the cavity 14.
[0022] To install the wall-mounted toilet at the intended location, the wall-mounted toilet 15, along with the mounting block 10 already positioned underneath it if necessary, is removed from its shipping packaging and then pushed into the desired wall position in a washroom. Once in the desired position, the wall-mounted toilet 15, resting entirely on the mounting block 10, can then be ergonomically and easily positioned on the wall W by a technician using special fastening devices.
[0023] After attaching the wall-mounted toilet 15 to the wall W, the mounting block 10 under the wall-mounted toilet 15 simply needs to be pulled away and the installation is complete.
