Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a puzzle case.
[0002] A puzzle transport device is known from DE 20 2023 103 410 U1.
[0003] The invention is based on the object of developing a puzzle case that provides a user with a particularly large puzzle surface. In particular, the object of the invention is also to provide a user with multiple puzzle surfaces and to enable the safe storage and transport of puzzle pieces or puzzle components assembled from puzzle pieces.
[0004] This object is achieved by the features of claim 1. Advantageous and expedient developments are specified in the subclaims
[0005] The puzzle case according to the invention comprises a lower case half and an upper case half, wherein the lower and the upper case half are foldably connected by a joint device in such a way that the case halves lie on top of one another when the puzzle case is closed and that the case halves lie next to one another when the puzzle case is opened, wherein an inner tray of the lower case half is delimited from an inner tray of the upper case half by at least one tray edge web in the opened state of the puzzle case, wherein the at least one tray edge web is removable in such a way that a base of the inner tray of the lower case half merges evenly into a base of the inner tray of the upper case half and the two bases form a continuous, first puzzle surface. This means that the first puzzle surface provides a user with a puzzle surface that is approximately twice the size of the basic dimensions of the puzzle case.
[0006] Further details of the invention are described in the drawing using schematically illustrated embodiments.
[0007] This shows: Fig. 1: a perspective view of a puzzle case according to the invention from above; Fig. 2: another perspective view of the puzzle case from below; Fig. 3: a detail of a perspective view of a roller base of the puzzle case; Fig. 4: a perspective view of the puzzle case in a slightly open position; Fig. 5: a perspective view of the puzzle case in a fully unfolded state; Fig. 6: a perspective view of the puzzle case in the fully opened state with the tray edge bars removed; Fig. 7: another perspective view of the puzzle case from above, with an upper cover plate and a lower cover plate removed; Fig. 8: a perspective view of the upper cover plate; Fig. 9: a detailed view of the Fig. 5; Fig. 10: a cutaway view of the Fig. 5; Fig. 11: a perspective view of the puzzle case in the fully unfolded state, with the upper cover plate removed and with four drawers at least partially pulled out.
[0008] The Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 show perspective views of a puzzle case 1 according to the invention in a closed state A from above and from below. Fig. 3 to 11 show further views and details of puzzle case 1.
[0009] The puzzle case 1 comprises a lower case half 101 and an upper case half 201. The lower and upper case halves 101, 201 are connected by a joint device 2 (see Fig. 5 and Fig. 9) are connected in such a foldable manner that the case halves 101, 201 in the closed state A (see in particular Fig. 1 and Fig. 2) of the puzzle case 1 lie on top of each other. In a fully opened state B of the puzzle case 101, 201 (see especially Fig. 5 and Fig. 6), the two case halves 101, 201 lie side by side. The joint device 2 is formed by two double hinges 3, 4.
[0010] An inner tub 102 of the lower case half 101 is - as can be seen in the fully opened state B of the puzzle case 1 - limited to an inner tub 202 of the upper case half 201 by a tub edge web 103 of the inner tub 102 and a tub edge web 203 of the inner tub 202 (see Fig. 5). Here, the tub edge webs 103, 203 are removable in such a way that a bottom 102a of the inner tub 102 of the lower case half 101 merges smoothly into a bottom 202a of the inner tub 202 of the upper case half 201 and the two bottoms 102a, 202a form a continuous, first puzzle surface 5, which has, for example, a length of approximately 130 cm and a width of approximately 90 cm (see Fig. 5 and Fig. 6).
[0011] The upper case half 201 is made up of several parts and comprises a lid body 204 as well as an upper cover plate 205 and a lower cover plate 206 (see Fig. 7). The inner tray 202 is formed on an inner side 204b of the cover body 204 (see Fig. 6) and on an outer side 204a of the cover body 204, a recess 207 is formed (see Fig. 7). The recess 207 forms a bordered, second puzzle surface 6. The puzzle surface 6 can be covered by the cover plates 205, 206 in such a way that puzzle pieces or puzzle components (not shown) placed there are held on it.
[0012] The second puzzle surface 6 is, for example, as in the Fig. 7 - divided into four puzzle areas 7, 8, 9, 10 by two intermediate bridges 208, 209 (see Fig. 7). In this case, it may be provided for the intermediate webs to be connected to the cover body 204 in a form-fitting manner, wherein they are then inserted, for example, by means of pins arranged thereon into bores arranged in the cover body 204. It may also be provided for the intermediate webs to be connected to the cover body in a force-fitting and, in particular, magnetic manner. For this purpose, for example, individual magnets are arranged in the cover body, and the intermediate webs comprise, for example, ferromagnetic metal inserts.
[0013] In order to hold the cover plates 205, 206 to the cover body 204 and thus to secure puzzle pieces or puzzle components (not shown) lying on the second puzzle surface 6 for transport or storage, the upper cover plate 205 is, for example, 12 times magnetically fixed to the cover body 204. Accordingly, the lower cover plate 206 is then held between the upper cover plate 205 and the cover body 204. To realize such a magnetic fixation, it can - as shown in the Fig. 8 - it can be provided that the cover body 204 comprises twelve magnets 210, wherein in the Fig. 7, only one of the magnets is shown as an example. Furthermore, the upper cover plate 205 comprises twelve ferromagnetic metal inserts 211, which are aligned with the twelve magnets 210, so that a paired interaction of magnet and metal insert results when the second puzzle surface 6 is covered by the upper cover plate 205.
[0014] The lower case half 101 is also made up of several parts and comprises a lid body 104 and rolling feet 141, 142, 143, 144 (see Fig. 2). The roller feet 141, 142, 143, 144 are arranged on an outer side 104a of the cover body 104. The Fig. 3 shows a detailed view of the roller base 142. On an inner side 104b of the lid body 104, the inner tray 102 is formed (see Fig. 5). The roller feet 141-144 compensate for the different heights of the lower case half 101 and the upper case half 201, so that the puzzle case 1 in its fully opened state B rests flat on a base U and the first puzzle surface 5 is aligned parallel to the base U (see Fig. 5). The base U can be formed, for example, by a table top.
[0015] The multi-part upper case half 201 comprises the mentioned lid body 204 and four drawers 221 to 224. This is e.g. from the Fig. 10, in which the puzzle case 1 is shown without its inner trays 101 and 201. The lid body 204 of the upper case half 201 comprises a shaft 225, which is located under the bottom 202a of its inner tray 202 (see Fig. 5) and accommodates the drawers 221 to 224. In a fully inserted state, each of the drawers 221 to 224 is magnetically held to the lid body 204. The shaft 225 is divided into four insertion pockets 228 to 231 by two cross-shaped shaft walls 226, 227 to accommodate the four drawers 221 to 224. The first two insertion pockets 228, 229 open to a left side of the upper case half 201. The second two insertion pockets 230, 231 open to a right side of the upper case half 201.
[0016] The multi-part lower case half 101 comprises the aforementioned lid body 104 and four drawers 121 to 124. The lid body 104 of the lower case half 101 comprises a shaft 125, which is formed under the bottom 102a of its inner tub 102 and accommodates the drawers 121 to 124. In a fully inserted state, each of the drawers 121 to 124 is magnetically held to the lid body 104. This is exemplified in the Fig. 10 for the drawer 122 is shown in that a plate with a magnet attached to the shaft wall 127 and a ferromagnetic plate attached to the drawer 122 are shown enlarged, and their positions are indicated by arrows. The shaft 125 is divided into four insert pockets 128 to 131 by two cross-shaped shaft walls 126, 127 to accommodate the four drawers 121 to 124. The first two insert pockets 128, 129 open to a left side of the lower case half 101. The second two insert pockets 130, 131 open to a right side of the lower case half 101.
[0017] The two double hinges 3, 4 each comprise a first articulated arm 3a, which is connected to the lower case half 101, a second articulated arm 3b, which is connected to the upper case half 201 and a middle articulated arm 3c, to which the first articulated arm 3a is pivotally connected and to which the second articulated arm 3b is pivotally connected (see in particular Fig. 9).
[0018] The puzzle case 1 comprises a handle 11, by which the puzzle case 1 can be carried by a user. Furthermore, the puzzle case 1 comprises a locking system 12, by which the upper and lower case halves 101, 102 can be held together in the folded, closed state A. The locking system 12 comprises a first lock 13 and a second lock 14 (see Fig. 5).
[0019] The upper cover plate 205 comprises two tabs 205a, 205b, by which it can be lifted out of the recess 207 (see Fig. 11). It may also be provided to equip the lower cover plate 206 with such tabs. Furthermore, it may be provided to construct the puzzle case 1 without a lower cover plate.
