DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0008] In the following detailed description, for purposes of explanation, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the disclosed embodiments. However, it will be apparent that one or more embodiments may be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, well-known structures and units are shown schematically to simplify the drawing.

[0009] Furthermore, the terms used in this disclosure, such as technical and scientific terms, have their own meanings and can be understood by those skilled in the art unless the terms are additionally defined in this disclosure. That is, the terms used in the following paragraphs should be read in the meaning commonly known in related fields and will not be excessively explained unless the terms have a specific meaning in this disclosure.

[0010] Regarding the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 is Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a bicycle control assembly and handlebar according to a first embodiment of the disclosure, and Fig. 2 is an exploded view of the bicycle control assembly and handlebar in Fig. 1.

[0011] In this embodiment, the bicycle control assembly 1a is configured to be mounted on the handlebar 2. The bicycle control assembly 1a includes a first operating device 10a, a mounting unit 20a, and a second operating device 30a.

[0012] The first operating unit 10a is a bicycle brake lever. The first operating unit 10a includes a main portion 11a and a clamping portion 12a that are connected to each other. The main portion 11a is a portion of the first operating unit that includes a hydraulic reservoir and a pivotable lever. The clamping portion 12a includes a first arm 121a, a second arm 122a, and a fixing component 123a. The first arm 121a is connected to the main portion 11a, and the second arm 122a is pivotally mounted on the first arm 121a. The first arm 121a and the second arm 122a together form a mounting hole MH in which the handlebar 2 can be attached. The fixing component 123a passes through the second arm 122a and is screwed into the first arm 121a, so that the first arm 121a and the second arm 122a together clamp the handlebar 2.

[0013] The attachment unit 20a includes a base 21a, a coupling component 22a, and a fastening element 23a. The base 21a includes a first attachment portion 211a and a second attachment portion 212a, and the second attachment portion 212a is connected to an inner side of the first attachment portion 211a (e.g., a side of the first attachment portion 211a closer to a bicycle handlebar clamp). The first attachment portion 211a is detachably attached to the clamping portion 12a of the first operating unit 10a via the coupling component 22a, and the first attachment portion 211a is attached to the handlebar 2 via the clamping portion 12a. A position of the first attachment portion 211a relative to the clamping portion 12a of the first operating unit 10a is adjustable. In particular, the first arm 121a of the clamping portion 12a of the first actuating unit 10a has an outer surface 1211a and a coupling hole 1212a.The outer surface 1211a of the first arm 121a faces away from the mounting hole MH of the clamping portion 12a, and the coupling hole 1212a is recessed in the outer surface 1211a of the first arm 121a. The first fastening portion 211a is mounted on the outer surface 1211a of the first arm 121a. The first fastening portion 211a has an elongated hole 2111a, wherein an extension direction D1 of the elongated hole 2111a runs parallel to a circumferential direction D of the handlebar 2, and wherein the elongated hole 2111a coincides with the coupling hole 1212a of the first arm 121a. The coupling component 22a passes through the elongated hole 2111a of the first fastening portion 211a and is screwed into the coupling hole 1212a of the first arm 121a. By slightly loosening the coupling component 22a without removing the coupling component 22a, the first fastening portion 211a can be moved relative to the first arm 121a along the circumferential direction D of the handlebar 2.Thereby, the position of the first fixing portion 211a relative to the first arm 121a can be adjusted, thereby adjusting a position of the second operating unit 30a mounted on the second fixing portion 212a relative to the first arm 121a, as will be introduced later.

[0014] It should be noted that the position of the first attachment portion 211a relative to the first arm 121a is not limited to being merely adjustable. In some other embodiments, the first attachment portion may be integrally connected to the first arm of the first actuating unit, such that the position of the first attachment portion relative to the first arm is not adjustable. In such a case, the coupling hole of the first arm, the elongated hole of the first attachment portion, and the coupling component may be omitted.

[0015] Then, with reference to the Fig. 2 to 4, is Fig. 3 a front view of the bicycle control assembly and the handlebar from Fig. 1 and Fig. 4 a partial cross-sectional view of the bicycle control assembly and the handlebar from Fig. 1.

[0016] In this embodiment, the second actuating unit 30a is, for example, a mechanical gear selector and includes an upshift lever and a downshift lever for driving a derailleur via a cable (not shown). The second actuating unit 30a is attached to the second attachment portion 212a via the attachment member 23a. In particular, the second attachment portion 212a has a through hole 2121a, the second actuating unit 30a has an elongated hole 31a, and the attachment member 23a is mounted in the through hole 2121a of the second attachment portion 212a and the elongated hole 31a of the second actuating unit 30a, an extension direction D2 of the elongated hole 31a running parallel to a central axis A of the handlebar 2. More specifically, the attachment unit 20a further includes a stopper 24a, the attachment member 23a including a nut 231a and a bolt 232a.The nut 231a is located in the elongated hole 31a of the second actuating unit 30a and has a screw hole 2311a. The screw 232a includes a head portion 2321a and a body portion 2322a that are connected to each other, and a width of the head portion 2321a is greater than a width of the body portion 2322a. The head portion 2321a of the screw 232a is located outside the second actuating unit 30a, and the body portion 2322a of the screw 232a passes through the through hole 2121a of the second fastening portion 212a and is screwed into the screw hole 2311a of the nut 231a. The stopper 24a is, for example, a C-shaped or E-shaped clasp. The stopper 24a is located in the second operating unit 30a and is fixed to the body portion 2322a of the screw 232a, and the stopper 24a is arranged on a side of the screw hole 2311a of the nut 231a that is farther from the head portion 2321a of the screw 232a.

[0017] In this embodiment, the fastening element 23a has a fastening state and an adjustment state (see Fig. 5). As in Fig. 4, the head portion 2321a of the screw 232a and the nut 231a clamp together a part of the second fastening portion 212a and a part of the second operating unit 30a, so that the second operating unit 30a is fixed to the second fastening portion 212a when the fastening member 23a is in the fixed state.

[0018] In this embodiment, a user can loosen the screw 232a of the fastening element 23a to adjust the position of the second actuating unit 30a relative to the second fastening portion 212a. In particular, with reference to Fig. 5 and Fig. 6, Fig. 5 is a partial cross-sectional view showing that the fastener is in Fig. 4 is in the setting state, and Fig. Fig. 6 is a front view showing that the position of the second operating unit in Fig. 3 is adjusted relative to the second fastening section.

[0019] The user can loosen the screw 232a of the fastening member 23a to bring the fastening member 23a into the adjustment state, and the head portion 2321a of the screw 232a and the nut 231a are no longer tightly clamped to a part of the second fastening portion 212a and a part of the second operating unit 30a. The stopper 24a is located in the second operating unit 30a and is fixed to the body portion 2322a of the screw 232a, and the stopper 24a is located on a side of the screw hole 2311a of the nut 231a that is farther from the screw hole 2311a, so that even if the screw 232a of the fastening member 23a is loosened, the screw 232a will not be removed from the nut 231a. Therefore, the second actuating unit 30a can be moved relative to the second fixing portion 212a (e.g.along a direction parallel to the central axis A of the handlebar 2) in a manner that the second operating unit 30a is not separated from the second fixing portion 212a in order to adjust the position of the second operating unit 30a relative to the second fixing portion 212a.

[0020] Therefore, the second operating unit 30a is attached to the second fixing portion 212a by means of the fixing member 23a, and when the fixing member 23a is in the adjustment state, the fixing member 23a enables the position of the second operating unit 30a relative to the second fixing portion 212a to be adjustable in a manner that the second operating unit 30a is not separated from the second fixing portion 212a, whereby the user can adjust the position of the second operating unit 30a relative to the second fixing portion 212a in a state in which the second operating unit 30a is not separated from the second fixing portion 212a by merely placing the fixing member 23a in the adjustment state. Therefore, it is convenient to adjust the position of the second operating unit 30a relative to the second fixing portion 212a.

[0021] The following paragraphs introduce the bicycle control assemblies of other embodiments of the disclosure. The bicycle control assemblies of these embodiments are similar to the bicycle control assemblies of the previous embodiment, and therefore, the following paragraphs mainly introduce the differences between the bicycle control assembly of the previous embodiment and the bicycle control assembly of each of the following embodiments, while the same parts will not be introduced repeatedly below.

[0022] Then, with reference to the Fig. 7 to 9, is Fig. 7 is a perspective view of a bicycle control assembly and handlebar according to a second embodiment of the disclosure, Fig. 8 is a front view of the bicycle control assembly and handlebar of Fig. 7, and Fig. 9 is a partial cross-sectional view of the bicycle control assembly and handlebar of Fig. 7.

[0023] In the bicycle control assembly 1b of this embodiment, a second fastening portion 212b of a fastening unit 20b is connected to an outer side of a first fastening portion 211b (e.g., a side of the first fastening portion 211b farther from the bicycle handlebar clamp). In addition, a fastening element 23b of the fastening unit 20b includes a nut 231b and a bolt 232b. The nut 231b is located in a slotted hole 31b of a second operating unit 30b and has a screw hole 2311b. The bolt 232b includes a head portion 2321b, a body portion 2322b, and an end portion 2323b that are connected to each other, and the body portion 2322b is located between the head portion 2321b and the end portion 2323b. The width of the head portion 2321b and the width of the end portion 2323b are greater than the width of the body portion 2322b.The head portion 2321b of the screw 232b is located outside the second operating unit 30b, the body portion 2322b of the screw 232b passes through a through hole 2121b of the second fastening portion 212b and is screwed into the screw hole 2311b of the nut 231b, and the end portion 2323b of the screw 232b is located on a side of the screw hole 2311b of the nut 231b that is farther from the head portion 2321b of the screw 232b.

[0024] In this embodiment, the user can loosen the screw 232b of the fastening member 23b (e.g., rotate the screw 232b and move it in a direction D3) to set the fastening member 23b into an adjustment state so that the head portion 2321b of the screw 232b and the nut 231b no longer tightly clamp a part of the second fastening portion 212b and a part of the second operating unit 30b. Since the end portion 2323b of the screw 232b is located in the second operating unit 30b and is located on a side of the screw hole 2311b of the nut 231b that is farther from the screw hole 2311b of the screw 232b, even if the screw 232b of the fastening member 23b is loosened, the screw 232b is not removed from the nut 231b. Therefore, the second actuating unit 30b can be moved relative to the second fixing portion 212b (e.g.along a direction parallel to the central axis A of the handlebar 2) so that the second operating unit 30b is not separated from the second fixing portion 212b, in order to adjust the position of the second operating unit 30b relative to the second fixing portion 212b.

[0025] Then, with reference to the Fig. 10 to 12, is Fig. 10 is a perspective view of a bicycle control assembly and a handlebar according to a third embodiment of the disclosure, wherein Fig. 11 a front view of the bicycle control assembly and the handlebar from Fig. 10, and where Fig. 12 a partial cross-sectional view of the bicycle control assembly and the handlebar of Fig. 10 is.

[0026] In the bicycle control assembly 1c of this embodiment, a second fastening portion 212c of a fastening unit 20c has a slotted hole 2121c, and a second operating unit 30c has a through hole 31c. A fastening member 23c is fastened in the through hole 31c of the second operating unit 30c and the slotted hole 2121c of the second fastening portion 212c. Specifically, the fastening member 23c includes a nut 231c and a bolt 232c. The nut 231c is located in the slotted hole 2121c of the second fastening portion 212c and has a screw hole 2311c and an outer flange 2312c. The screw 232c includes a head portion 2321c and a body portion 2322c connected to each other, and a width of the head portion 2321c is larger than a width of the body portion 2322c.The head portion 2321c of the screw 232c is located in the second actuating unit 30c, and the body portion 2322c of the screw 232c is threaded through the through hole 31c of the second actuating unit 30c and screwed into the screw hole 2311c of the nut 231c. The fastening unit 20c further includes a stopper 24c. The stopper 24c is, for example, an annular body. The stopper 24c is mounted in the elongated hole 2121c and surrounds a part of the nut 231c. The stopper 24c has an inner flange 241c for stopping the outer flange 2312c of the nut 231c.

[0027] In this embodiment, the user can loosen the nut 231c of the fastening member 23c (e.g., rotate the nut 231c and move it in a direction D3) to set the fastening member 23c in an adjustment state and no longer tightly clamp the head portion 2321c of the screw 232c and the nut 231c to a part of the second fastening portion 212c and to a part of the second operating unit 30c. Since the inner flange 241c of the stopper 24c can restrict the outer flange 2312c of the nut 231c, the nut 231c is not removed from the screw 232c even if the nut 231c of the fastening member 23c is loosened. Therefore, the second operating unit 30c can be moved relative to the second fastening portion 212c (e.g.,along a direction parallel to the central axis A of the handlebar 2) so that the second operating unit 30c is not separated from the second fixing portion 212c in order to adjust the position of the second operating unit 30c relative to the second fixing portion 212c.

[0028] On the other hand, after the screw 232c and the second operating unit 30c are sequentially assembled together, the head portion 2321c of the screw 232c is restricted by the internal structure of the casing of the second operating unit 30c, and thus the screw 232c cannot be detached from the second operating unit 30c. Therefore, there is no need to machine and expand one end of the body portion 2322c of the screw 232c to prevent the screw 232c from detaching from the second operating unit 30c.

[0029] Then, with reference to Fig. 13, is Fig. 13 is a partial cross-sectional view of a bicycle control assembly and handlebar according to a fourth embodiment of the disclosure.

[0030] In the bicycle instrument assembly 1d of this embodiment, a fastening element 23d of a fastening unit 20d includes a nut 231d and a bolt 232d. The nut 231d is located in a slotted hole 2121d of a second fastening portion 212d and has a bolt hole 2311d. The bolt 232d includes a head portion 2321d, a body portion 2322d, and an end portion 2323d connected to each other, and the body portion 2322d is located between the head portion 2321d and the end portion 2323d. The width of the head portion 2321d and the width of the end portion 2323d are greater than the width of the body portion 2322d. The head portion 2321d of the bolt 232d and the nut 231d are located inside and outside the second fastening portion 212d, respectively.outside a second operating unit 30d, the body portion 2322d of the screw 232d is screwed through a through hole 31d of the second operating unit 30d and screwed into the screw hole 2311d of the nut 231d, and the end portion 2323d of the screw 232d is located on a side of the screw hole 2311d of the nut 231d that is farther from the head portion 2321d of the screw 232d.

[0031] In this embodiment, the user can loosen the nut 231d of the fastening member 23d (e.g., rotate the nut 231d and move it in a direction D3) to place the fastening member 23d in an adjustment state, and no longer tightly clamp the head portion 2321d of the screw 232d and the nut 231d to a part of the second fastening portion 212d and a part of the second operating unit 30d. Since the end portion 2323d of the screw 232d is located on a side of the screw hole 2311d of the nut 231d farther from the head portion 2321d of the screw 232d, even if the nut 231d of the fastening member 23d is loosened, the nut 231d is not removed from the screw 232d. Therefore, the second actuating unit 30d can be moved relative to the second fixing portion 212d (e.g.along a direction parallel to the central axis A of the handlebar 2) in a manner that the second operating unit 30d is not separated from the second mounting portion 212d in order to adjust the position of the second operating unit 30d relative to the second mounting portion 212d.

[0032] Then, with reference to Fig. 14, is Fig. 14 is a partial cross-sectional view of a bicycle control assembly and handlebar stay according to a fifth embodiment of the disclosure.

[0033] In the bicycle control assembly 1e of this embodiment, a fastening element 23e of a fastening unit 20e includes a nut 231e and a bolt 232e. The nut 231e is located in a slotted hole 2121e of a second fastening portion 212e and has a screw hole 2311e. The bolt 232e includes a head portion 2321e and a body portion 2322e connected to each other, wherein a width of the head portion 2321e is greater than a width of the body portion 2322e. The head portion 2321e of the bolt 232e is located in a second operating unit 30e, and the body portion 2322e of the bolt 232e is threaded through the through hole 31e of the second operating unit 30e and into the screw hole 2311e of the nut 231e. The fastening unit 20e further comprises a stop 24e. The stop 24e is, for example, a rivet. The stopper 24e is fixed to one end of the body portion 2322e of the screw 232e which is farther from the head portion 2321e, a part of the stopper 24e is located on one side of the screw hole 2311e of the nut 231e which is farther from the head portion 2321e of the screw 232e, and the outer diameter of the stopper 24e is larger than the inner diameter of the screw hole 2311e of the nut 231e.
