Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an identification element for a glass fibre cassette to which the identification element can be fastened. In glass fibre distribution cabinets mounting plates are usually arranged, to which organizers are fastened, which hold stacks of closely adjacent cassettes. The cassettes contain glass fibres which are guided to a specific destination, for example to a specific residence in a residence, in order to supply these with energy and information. In a fiber management system of the type under consideration, it is often the task that work is to be carried out on specific glass fiber cassettes, for example glass fiber in the cassette is to be exchanged or, for example, an additional glass fiber is to be inserted into the cassette. This results in the problem of reliably identifying the cassette concerned in each case in the multiplicity of cassettes arranged closely next to one another. The present invention is based on the object of specifying a solution for this problem. This object is achieved by the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are characterized in the dependent claims. The invention provides an identification element for a glass fibre cassette which is clipped into the edge of the cassette by a strip-shaped part and at least partially covers the interior of the cassette by a planar large-area part. This planar part is suitable for inscription which identifies the destination of the glass fibers in the cassette, it also being possible to identify the strip-shaped part of the identification element, so that a particular cassette sought can be seen at a glance in the stack of cassettes, as frequently also closely stacked books in a bookcase. In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the strip-shaped part of the identification element is connected to the flat large-area part via at least one film hinge, such that the flat large-area part can be folded open on the at least one film hinge, so that the interior of the cassette is exposed for processing. The work can be done on the cassette pivotably mounted in the organizer, or the cassette can be removed from the organizer for this purpose. The strip-shaped part of the identification element is preferably clipped onto the edge of the cassette, whereby the identification element can be fastened to the cassette in a simple and secure manner.According to a further proposal of the invention, the strip-shaped part of the identification element extends at least over the entire longitudinal side of the cassette which is opposite the marginal edge which is pivotably fastened to the organizer. In addition, the strip-shaped part can extend beyond the rectilinear marginal edge in each case into the arcuate portions, against which the strip-shaped part bears preferably under a slight axial prestress. At the end regions on both sides, the strip-shaped part preferably contains latching noses which can latch into depressions of the cassette, whereby the identification element is permanently secured on the cassette. The identification element is expediently produced in one piece by injection molding and is advantageously made of polyamide. This has the advantage that the marking element can be labeled with a normal pin, for example a felt pin.According to a further advantageous aspect, it is proposed that the identification element consists of a colored, colored material, so that cassettes in different colors can be arranged in an organizer, which cassettes are assigned to specific destinations of the fibers. As a result, the destinations of the individual glass fibre cassettes can be identified particularly easily and reliably, wherein additional indications can be recorded written on the planar large-area parts of the identification elements. The invention accordingly relates to an identification element for a glass fibre cassette, but it also relates to a glass fibre cassette to which an identification element of the type described above is fastened. In this case, the strip-shaped part of the identification element can also be fastened to the cassette in another manner, for example glued to the edge.Further details of the invention will become apparent from the following description of a preferred embodiment of the invention and from the drawings.Figure shows FIG. 1 is a top view of a glass fiber cassette with a clipped-on identification element; FIG. 2 is a top view of the identification element of FIG. 1 ; FIG. 3 shows a detail of an organizer with a stack of glass fibre cassettes; FIG. 4 shows a larger illustration of a glass fibre cassette with an identification element; FIG. 5 shows the glass fibre cassette with the part of the identification element opened.FIG. 1 shows a top view of an empty glass fibre cassette, on the lower edge of which an identification element 2 is clipped. The identification element 2 contains a strip-shaped part 3 which is clipped onto the edge of the cassette 1 and a planar large-area part 4 which is connected to the strip-shaped part 3 via 2 film hinges 5. The planar part 4 can be folded open on these two film hinges 5, as a result of which the splice storage region 6 of the cassette 1 is exposed (FIG. 5 ).The strip-shaped part 3 extends beyond the longitudinal side of the cassette 1 into the arcuate edge sections 7 of the cassette 1. The flat large-area part 4, which is connected at one end via the film hinges 5 to the strip-shaped part 3, contains at the opposite free end a latching nose 9, with which the flat large-area part 4 latches into the edge region of the cassette 1, as a result of which the part 4 is fixed on the edge of the cassette 1 when it is not, as shown in FIG. 5, folded open by at least 90 degrees for processing the interior of the cassette 1.In the middle region of the planar large-area part 4 a break-off notch 10 is formed, the inner surface of which can be broken off if necessary if the region of the cassette 1 lying underneath has a projecting elevation.Figure 3 shows a portion of an organizer 11 in which a stack of cassettes 1 is pivotally supported in a sealed arrangement. In this stack of cassettes, the outer sides of the strip-shaped parts 3 of the individual cassettes 1 are visible. If the associated identification elements 2 are made of different colors, the respective color can give a first indication of the destination of the associated cassette. Further indications are then given by the inscription of the exposed planar part 4 of the cassette.
