AI Technical Summary
Existing methods for recycling waste from thermosetting reaction resin with fibers in fiber-plastic composites are inefficient and lead to environmental pollution and high energy consumption.
Recycling the waste by cutting it into shreds, scattering them on a carrier, and pressing into a board with randomly arranged fibers, using a separating device and press, to create a recycled molding compound for further processing.
Reduces waste, minimizes raw material needs, avoids pollutant emissions, and decreases energy consumption while producing semi-finished products suitable for crack-stopping and filler layers in fiber-plastic composites.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the use of waste from a thermosetting reaction resin with fibres which is produced in the production of bodies consisting of plate-shaped fibre-plastic composites. The document DE 37 44 728 A1 discloses a method for utilizing uncured prepreg and resin waste. For this purpose, the waste is collected, provided with a solvent, comminuted, mixed and shaped under certain pressures and temperatures in molding presses, in particular to form building material panels of different size and geometry. The publication DE 195 14 543 C1 discloses a method for recovering and utilizing waste waste from fiber-reinforced prepreg webs. For this purpose, the waste is cut and the woven composite of the reinforcing fibers is dissolved by stirring or stirring, the viscosity of the still reactive resins being lowered by moderate heating. This produces a uniform mixture of individualized fibers or fiber strands and reactive resin, which is further processed in heatable molding tools to form rigid molded pieces or cooled for intermediate storage and subsequent further processing. The invention specified in claim 1 is based on the object of further using waste from a thermosetting reaction resin with fibers as recycled molding compound. This object is achieved by the features set out in claim 1.The use of waste from a thermosetting reaction resin with fibers, which waste is produced in the production of bodies consisting of plate-shaped fiber-plastic composites, is distinguished in particular in that waste from a thermosetting reaction resin with fibers can be used further as recycled molding compound. For this purpose, the waste cut into chips by means of a separating device and the chips thus scattered and pressed onto a carrier of a press are used for producing a plate from a recycled molding compound of the thermosetting reaction resin with randomly arranged fibers.Advantageously, the waste obtained is recycled in the form of waste residues by means of the use in order to provide a recycled semi-finished product or recycling workpiece produced therefrom on the basis of prepregs and thus the thermosetting reaction resin comprising the fibers as matrix. In this way, recycling semi-finished products or recycling workpieces with a more precise fibre distribution in the thermosetting reaction resin are realized as a matrix. The recycling semi-finished products or recycling workpieces thus provided for further processing can be used, for example, as crack stopper layers because of their random fiber distribution. Furthermore, these can be used as filling layers in the neutral fiber of bodies consisting of a fiber-plastic composite and can thus be used. In addition, these can be used to produce components with low loads. For this purpose, the chips deposited randomly on the carrier are processed by using a press to form a discontinuously flat material in the form of the plate. The carrier can be a solid and / or an elastic body. For this purpose, the elastic body can be in particular a film. The waste can be cooled with the separating device before the cutting of the waste and / or the tip. The tackiness of the waste and / or of the chips is thus advantageously reduced. This substantially facilitates processing and further processing. The plate removed from the carrier and consisting of the recycled molding compound can thus be used as a workpiece or finished part. These consist thus of the cured thermosetting reaction resin with dispersed fibers. With the use of waste from a thermosetting reaction resin with fibers, which waste arises during the production of bodies consisting of plate-shaped fiber-plastic composites, the waste that arises is used directly when pre-preg is cut, so that the waste is reduced. At the same time, the need for primary prepreg is thereby reduced, so that less starting material is required. The emission of pollutants, for example during pyrolysis of the matrix or thermal utilization of the waste, is avoided. This also reduces the energy consumption resulting therefrom for recycling the waste.Advantageous embodiments of the invention are listed in the following developments and embodiments. These can continue the use of waste from a thermosetting reaction resin containing fibers, singly or in combination, which waste is produced in the production of bodies consisting of plate-shaped fiber-plastic composites. In a development, the plate made of a recycled molding compound is used for producing at least one article consisting of a fiber-plastic composite. For cutting the waste into chips, in one embodiment at least one roller blade is used. For pressing the chips scattered on the carrier, in one embodiment a calender press with a specific or adjustable press nip or a hot press with a dip edge tool is used.An embodiment of the invention will be described in more detail below. For this purpose, a use of waste from a thermosetting reaction resin with fibers, which waste is produced during the production of bodies consisting of plate-shaped fiber-plastic composites, is explained in more detail with the production thereof. To provide a plate made of a recycled molding compound made of a thermosetting reaction resin and fiberswaste obtained in the production of bodies consisting of plate-shaped fibre-plastic composites is cut into chips with a separating device, distributing the tongue on a carrier, the chip on the carrier is pressed to form a plate with a press; andremoving the plate consisting of the recycled molding compound from the carrier, so that the recycled molding compound has randomly arranged fibers in the thermosetting reaction resin. The waste cut into chips by means of a separating device and the chips thus scattered and pressed onto a carrier of a press are thus used for producing a plate from a recycled molding compound of the thermosetting reaction resin with randomly arranged fibers. To reduce tackiness, the waste is cooled with the separating device before the waste is cut and / or the tip.In a first embodiment, the plate removed from the carrier and consisting of the recycled molding compound is a workpiece. The workpiece may subsequently be formed into an article and heat treated such that the article is comprised of the cured random fiber thermosetting reaction resin. In a second embodiment, to produce a plate-shaped solid body, the chips are heated during and / or after the pressing, so that a plate-shaped solid body made of cured thermosetting reaction resin with dispersed fibers is realized after the pressing. For cutting the waste into chips, at least one roller blade can be used, for example. For pressing the chips scattered on the carrier, it is possible in particular to use a calender press with a specific or adjustable press nip or a hot press with a dip-edge tool.References included in the specificationThis list of documents cited by the applicant has been produced in an automated manner and is only included for the better information of the reader.
