Description

1. Technical area

[0001] The invention relates to a modular movement tray system for miniature strategy games (e.g. tabletop), in particular for the orderly positioning and movement of game pieces with differently shaped and dimensioned bases as well as safe transport. 2. State of the art

[0002] Conventional movement tray systems usually consist of rigid plastic or MDF panels with predefined cutouts for a specific base size. Adjustments are only possible by remaking or replacing the entire tray. Systems that can flexibly accommodate different base formats without the use of adhesives or tools are lacking. 3. Object of the invention

[0003] The aim of the invention is to provide a movement tray that is modular in design, adaptable without tools, magnetically fixable, combinable, reusable and recyclable. 4. Description of the invention

[0004] The task is solved by a system consisting of the following components: a) Frame structure: A rectangular frame with standardized external dimensions and integrated holders for supporting plates. b) Insert panels: Insertable grid panels with a hole pattern for accommodating divider elements in various combinations. c) Divider structure: Divider with cylindrical plug-in pin for tool-free fixing in the grid - in T, X, corner and special shapes. d) Magnetic fixation: Magnets in the tray and base, attachable without adhesive, and removable due to the elasticity of the material. Magnets on the underside for transport and improved gliding on the playing field. e) Combinability: Trays are modular and can be combined side by side - standardized grid dimensions. f) Manufacturing via FDM 3D printing: All parts are designed for FDM 3D printing with textured surfaces. g) Filler plates: Can be used via plug pin or magnet to cover empty slots. Claims

[1] Modular movement tray system consisting of a frame with a removable grid plate and modular divider elements, characterized by that the dividers have cylindrical plug-in pins which are pressed into a standardized hole pattern of the grid plate and are held passively by form-fitting. [2] Movement tray system according to claim 1, characterized by that the grid plate has recesses for holding magnets, which interact with corresponding magnets in the bases of the playing figures. [3] Movement tray system according to claim 1 or 2, characterized by that the components are made of an elastic thermoplastic material, which allows tool-free removal of inserted magnets. [4] Movement tray system according to one of the preceding claims, characterized bythat the size of the tablet and the usable base formats can be freely selected by positioning the dividers. [5] Use of such a system for the orderly positioning and movement of miniature game bases in tabletop strategy games. [6] Movement tray system according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by that optional filler plates are available, which cover unused fields of the grid plate and are held in position either by plug pins or magnets. [7] Movement tray system according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by that the dividers have different functional geometries (e.g. T-, X-, corner or special shapes), which can be combined depending on the base configuration.
