Description

[0001] The invention relates to a flat lamp having a separate driver box for carrying the driver.

[0002] For current luminaires, especially those with high luminous flux, heat generation, heat dissipation, and heat dissipation are important aspects that must be considered during design. Flat and narrow luminaires, which are often installed in industrial buildings such as warehouses, office areas, commercial kitchens, and the like, often experience heat problems because the luminaire driver is positioned near the luminaire's respective light source module, which typically consists of multiple LEDs mounted on an LED board. This can easily damage heat-sensitive components, such as the luminaire driver.

[0003] The invention is therefore based on the object of providing an improved flat luminaire that has improved heat distribution with regard to heat-sensitive components of the luminaire. This object is achieved by the luminaire according to independent claim 1. The invention is defined in the corresponding independent claim. Additional features of the invention are provided in the corresponding dependent claims.

[0004] According to the invention, a flat luminaire is provided which extends longitudinally along an extension axis. The luminaire has a rear side and a front side, each extending longitudinally along the extension axis on opposite sides of the extension axis. The luminaire comprises: a light source; a driver for driving the light source; a flat housing defining an illumination space for accommodating the light source; a functional box extending axially from an axial end side of the housing; and a driver box for supporting the driver. The housing extends longitudinally along the extension axis and has a body at the rear side and a light-emitting section at the front side for emitting light from the light source accommodated in the housing. The control box and the housing together define the rear and front of the luminaire, respectively. The driver box is mounted on the rear of the luminaire in such a way that, viewed radially to the extension axis, it at least partially overlaps the control box with a housing section. Furthermore, the driver is housed in the housing section.

[0005] In a luminaire configured in this way, the components are arranged extremely advantageously, as the heat dissipation of the light source is separated from the driver, thus spatially separating these two heat-generating components. By positioning the separate driver box on the rear of the luminaire and accommodating the light source within the luminaire housing, effective thermal separation is achieved. This separates the heat-sensitive components of the luminaire from each other and prevents them from negatively affecting each other. This improves heat dissipation and heat dissipation.

[0006] Optionally, the driver is completely or exclusively enclosed within the housing section. This ensures that, when viewed along an axis perpendicular to the luminaire's extension axis, there is no overlap between the driver and the luminaire housing. This further improves the decoupling of the thermal effects of the driver and the light source, or the housing, which can act as a heat sink for the light source.

[0007] Optionally, the driver box is mounted on the rear of the luminaire such that, viewed radially to the extension axis, it partially overlaps the housing with an extension section. With this configuration, the luminaire, and in particular the driver box, can be implemented extremely variably and flexibly depending on the desired lighting scenarios and / or requirements. In particular, with this design, additional components can be positioned and / or mounted within the driver box. Components that are less heat-sensitive and, in particular, heat-resistant, or components with comparatively low heat generation can be used.In a specific example, an emergency driver that is only active in an emergency situation can be positioned in the extension section designed in this way, since in an emergency situation the light source is usually controlled in an emergency mode in which either not all of the light-emitting elements of the light source are active or in which only a reduced power is applied. Since only a reduced power is applied, the emergency driver itself does not generate large amounts of heat, but only a small amount of heat compared to the regular (main) driver, which is then positioned in the housing section. Thus, in such a scenario, heat generation is generally lower, so that the emergency driver can be positioned in the extension section of the driver box, which overlaps the housing of the luminaire. Thus, various additional components can be used within the driver box of the luminaire configured in this way.

[0008] Optionally, the driver and / or a device carrier on which the driver is arranged are mounted to an inner surface of a mounting wall of the driver box. This enables stable and rigid positioning of the driver or device carrier. Furthermore, this mounting wall optionally faces a base plate of the driver box that is in contact with the housing. This achieves further advantageous thermal decoupling, as the driver or device carrier is further spaced from the luminaire housing. Here, the space between the driver mounted on the mounting wall and the respective opposite base plate forms an additional insulator in the driver box to further decouple the heat transfer between the two most heat-generating components within the luminaire.

[0009] Optionally, the surface of the driver box that is in contact with the back of the luminaire, particularly preferably with the base plate, i.e. with the housing, comprises a protruding structure, such as a protruding edge, that is in contact with the back of the luminaire. This minimizes the contact area between the driver box and the housing. This further minimizes heat transfer between the driver box and the housing, which improves thermal separation and thus further improves the thermal management of the luminaire. Furthermore, with this implementation, the protruding structure creates an additional insulating space between the remaining surface of the base plate of the driver box and the back of the luminaire. This further improves insulation and thus thermal separation.

[0010] Optionally, the flat luminaire also includes a bracket for attaching the driver box to the housing, preferably for detachable attachment. This bracket ensures a stable attachment of the driver box, preventing unwanted removal.

[0011] Optionally, the housing or its body includes a lateral mounting structure for connecting the bracket, thus clamping the driver box between the bracket and the body. This implementation achieves the driver box's attachment to the housing without the need for screws and corresponding holes, thus enabling a simple, flexible, and potentially easily reversible attachment. The lateral mounting structure provides an effective coupling surface for the bracket, allowing tool-free coupling of the bracket and thus also the driver box to the housing.

[0012] Optionally, the driver box includes form-lock structures for accommodating a portion of the bracket to provide a form-lock at least along the extension axis. This prevents displacement of the driver box along the extension axis, thus further improving the mounting of the driver box to the housing, making it more durable and stable. This also enables precise and repeatable positioning of the driver box on the rear of the luminaire housing.

[0013] Optionally, the functional box comprises a blank cover or a functional element, wherein the functional element preferably comprises one of a sensor, a lighting control device, a battery, a wireless control module, or any combination thereof. In such an implementation, the functional box can serve as a placeholder if no additional components are desired for the respective luminaire, so that the functional box is formed solely by its housing; and alternatively, the functional box can add respective desired functionalities to the luminaire, since additional components, such as one or more sensors, one or more energy storage devices (such as a battery or accumulator for energy buffering or emergency power supply or the like), and / or one or more control and / or communication devices can be implemented therein.

[0014] Optionally, the housing and the functional box, viewed in a cross-section perpendicular to the extension axis, have the same or identical cross-sectional contour. In this case, the external dimensions of the functional box can be (slightly) larger than those of the housing, but still have the same cross-sectional contour. Implementations are also conceivable in which the cross-sectional contours (and thus the respective external dimensions) of the functional box and the housing are identical. In this implementation, the functional box and the housing are configured to match one another, so that the external appearance of the luminaire is further improved. Furthermore, it is also conceivable that the above-mentioned protruding structure can compensate for the differences in the contours of the housing and the functional box, so that the driver box is essentially flat on the back of the housing and the back of the functional box, i.e.on the back of the lamp.

[0015] Optionally, the body is a profile body, and / or the body extends longitudinally along the extension axis. The body configured in this way enables a repeatable, durable, and high-quality implementation. In particular, the body that is a profile body can be an extruded profile body, and in particular an aluminum profile body, i.e., an extruded aluminum profile. Since the body is an aluminum profile body, the heat sink properties of the body are further improved.

[0016] Optionally, the light-emitting section is a front cover, and / or the light-emitting section extends longitudinally along the extension axis. Since the light-emitting section is a cover, the housing is preferably closed in the light-emitting direction of the luminaire. The cover provides protection against dust, water, and moisture from the underside / front of the luminaire. In particular, various implementations of the light-emitting section as a cover are conceivable, with special implementations being possible for achieving a ball-impact-resistant, moisture-proof (especially swimming pool-proof) luminaire.

[0017] Optionally, the body and the light-emitting section each comprise a corresponding connecting structure, preferably a longitudinal connecting profile structure, for fastening the body and the light-emitting section relative to one another. This implementation further facilitates the closing of the housing and further simplifies the connection between these components. Preferably, the connection established via the corresponding connecting structures is made by a positive connection, and in this case preferably via a locking connection and in particular a snap connection. Furthermore, it is conceivable that the light-emitting section can comprise several components, such as a flat cover plate and corresponding profile elements that fix the flat cover plate to the housing. In particular, these profile elements can then form the connecting structure of the light-emitting section. In general, it is also conceivable that the corresponding connecting structures of the housing and the light-emitting section for fastening the light-emitting section, or the cover, to the housing are configured to interact with a respective positioned seal of the luminaire, thus sealing the interior of the housing, i.e., the illumination space of the housing. The seals of the housing can be positioned on side walls of the body that laterally enclose the illumination space of the housing.

[0018] Optionally, the function box includes an opening at the rear, and the driver box includes: • another opening aligned with the opening, and / or • a connector element extending from the driver box through the opening of the function box when the driver box is mounted on the rear of the luminaire.

[0019] With the function box and driver box configured in this way, an extremely simple connection is established between the driver box and the function box. The further opening or the plug element can easily implement an electrical (and also a mechanical) coupling between these components. As an alternative to the plug element, a cable harness for an electrical connection between the driver box and the other components of the luminaire can pass through the openings. In this case, it is conceivable that a connection is established between electrical components of the function box. Furthermore, there is preferably also a corresponding electrical connection between the function box and the light source or its light source board inside the housing, whereby this can be implemented via cables that are routed through a lateral through-hole in the function box to the lighting space inside the housing.By implementing the driver box with a connector element and the functional box with a corresponding connector element arranged in or formed by the opening on its rear side, an extremely simple and permanent electrical (and possibly mechanical) connection between the two boxes is achieved. Here, the electrical connection between the light source and the driver for controlling the light source is established via the respective opening(s), connector(s), and through-hole(s) of the components, so that the electrical connection is internal and thus protected and secured to the greatest extent possible, further providing an integral and aesthetic appearance of the luminaire.

[0020] Optionally, the light source comprises an LED light source, preferably an LED module. This configuration allows for high-intensity illumination with relatively low energy consumption. Furthermore, the space requirement of such a light source is minimal. These light sources can preferably comprise a respective light source board, such as an LED board, and light-emitting elements arranged thereon. The LED board can form an LED module, or one or more LED modules comprising the LED light source can be arranged on such an LED board.

[0021] Optionally, the light source extends longitudinally along the extension axis, preferably along the entire housing. This enables further efficient use of the available space and thus leads to further increased flexibility in terms of lighting scenarios.

[0022] Optionally, the flat luminaire further comprises a clip element for attaching the light source to the body, wherein the clip element is a separate element or is manufactured integrally with the housing and / or the body. This provides a further connection within the luminaire without the need for drilled holes and corresponding screws, thus achieving a further tool-free coupling. The coupling implemented in this way is extremely durable and holds the light source and possibly also other optical elements (such as reflectors, light diffusion plates, and the like) in a fixed position within the housing.

[0023] Optionally, the driver box is made of plastic. This further increases thermal decoupling from the luminaire housing and also reduces the weight and cost of the driver box.

[0024] Optionally, the body is made of a metallic material, particularly aluminum. This implementation further improves the heat conduction and heat dissipation properties of the housing. The body can also preferably function as a heat sink for the light source.

[0025] Optionally, the light-emitting section is made of plastic material, in particular polycarbonate, PC, glass, or the like. The light-emitting section can be selected accordingly depending on the desired lighting scenario. For aggressive conditions, e.g., in a swimming pool area with high humidity, high temperatures, chlorine, and the like, the light-emitting section is preferably made of glass. In scenarios where impact with other objects is to be expected, e.g., in a lighting scenario of a sports field (such as a tennis court, squash court, volleyball court, and the like), the light-emitting section can be further fixed to the housing via an additional safety clip, which prevents the light-emitting section from slipping in the event of a collision with other objects.

[0026] Optionally, the axial end face of the housing, which along the extension axis is opposite the axial end face coupled to the function box, is enclosed by an end cap, wherein the end cap is mounted on the body. In this case, the housing of the luminaire is closed on both end faces of the housing, on one side via the function box and on the other side via the end cap. With this implementation, the housing is thus further improved in terms of its sealing. The end cap can be coupled to the housing via screws. The end cap can be made of a plastic material, in particular of polyamide. Furthermore, an end cap seal can optionally be provided between the end cap and the housing. This further improves the sealing.

[0027] Optionally, an end cap seal can be provided between the housing and the functional box. This further seals the connection between the functional box and the housing or body, preventing the ingress of dust, moisture, water, and the like. The seal can have at least one through-hole that allows cables, for example, to pass through from the functional box to the lighting space and, in particular, to the light source, and vice versa. The seal further improves the sealing of the luminaire.

[0028] Optionally, the flat luminaire comprises two of the function boxes, wherein the function boxes extend axially from opposite axial end faces of the housing, wherein the function boxes and the housing together define the rear and the front of the luminaire, and wherein the flat luminaire comprises two of the driver boxes, wherein the driver boxes are each mounted on the rear of the luminaire such that each of the driver boxes, with its housing portion, viewed radially to the extension axis, at least partially overlaps another of the function boxes. This provides a highly preferred aesthetic of the luminaire, wherein the luminaire is substantially symmetrical along its extension axis. Various additional components can also be integrated into the luminaire or into the function box using the two function boxes.Preferably, the driver is housed in the housing section of one of the driver boxes, and further preferably, a respective driver is housed in each housing section of the driver boxes. Thus, depending on the power requirements of the luminaire (and also depending on the length of the luminaire), the luminaire can be equipped with several, and in particular two, drivers, which supply the light source with the required electrical energy.

[0029] In general, materials used for seals discussed in the disclosure may include cellular rubber; foam rubber; polyethylene; silicone; ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM); and / or polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). These materials can meet different requirements for specific lighting situations. Thus, the sealing of the luminaire is further improved. In particular, the housing may be sealed and meet a specific IP protection rating, such as IP4x, IP5x, IP6x, IPx4, IPx5, IPx6, IPx7, IPx8 (where x is a placeholder), and in particular IP 44, IP45, IP 66, IP 67, IP 68, or the like.

[0031] Fig. 1 to 4 show different views of a similar exemplary embodiment of a flat lamp 1. The flat lamp 1 comprises a housing 2100 and a function box 3000, which is coupled to the housing 2100 via a side surface of the housing 2100. Furthermore, the lamp 1 comprises a driver box 1000, which is mounted on the rear side R of the lamp 1, i.e. on the rear side R of the housing 2100 and the rear side R of the respective function box 3000. The structure of the lamp 1, its housing 2100, its driver box 1000 and its function box 3000 are shown in the exploded view of Fig. 5 is shown in more detail as an example. Fig. Figure 8 shows, by way of example, the underside of an embodiment of the driver box 1000 and the top side of an embodiment of the housing 2100 and the functional box 3000, as well as their coupling. The driver box 1000 is equipped with a driver 1220. The arrangement within the driver box 1000 is shown in Fig. 6 and Fig. 7 is shown in more detail by way of example. Inside the housing 2100 there is a light source 2210, which is positioned within an illumination space 2120 of the housing. The arrangement within the housing 2100 is shown in Fig. 10A, Fig. 10B and Fig. 10C is shown in more detail by way of example, further illustrating various coupling options for coupling the light-emitting portion 2102 to the body 2101. The housing 2100, with its electrical components and structural configurations, forms the luminaire unit 2000 of the luminaire 1. Fig. Figure 9 illustrates an exemplary embodiment of the lamp 1 which is longer than that shown in Figures Fig. 1 to 4, 5 and 8 and comprises a plurality of function boxes 3000 and driver boxes 1000 which are attached to the individual lighting unit 200 or its housing 2100.

[0032] As in Fig. 1 to 5, the flat lamp 1 extends longitudinally along the extension axis L. The lamp 1 has a rear side R and a front side F, each extending longitudinally along the extension axis L on opposite sides of the extension axis L. A driver 1220 for controlling the light source 2210 of the lamp 1 is positioned inside the driver box 1000. The flat housing 2100 defines an illumination space 2120 for accommodating the light source 2210, wherein the housing 2100 extends longitudinally along the extension axis L and wherein the housing 2100 has a body 2101 on the rear side R and a light emitting section 2102 on the front side F for emitting light from the light source 2210 accommodated in the housing 2100.The light emitting section 2102 is essentially plate-shaped and has a main surface 2102x which is plate-shaped and which covers the opening of the body 2101 at the front side F and thus closes the housing 2100 at the front side F.

[0033] The light source 2210 may comprise an LED light source 2210, preferably an LED module. Furthermore, as shown in the figures, the light source 2210 may also extend longitudinally along the extension axis L and, in particular, along the entire housing 2100.

[0034] The 2100 housing itself has a flat design so that the respective requirements of individual industries (especially requirements within the food industry) are met.

[0035] Based on Fig. 5, Fig. 10A, Fig. 10B and Fig. 10C describes the exemplary embodiment of the interior of the lighting unit 2000 shown therein. It is clear that the housing 2100 or its body 2101 forms the basic structure of the lighting unit 2000. The body 2101 comprises a mounting surface 2105 for positioning the light source 2210. The light source 2210 can comprise the light source board and a plurality of light-emitting elements 2211. This mounting surface 2105 also functions as a heat transfer element that conducts heat away from the heat-generating light source 2210. Since the body 2101 is made of metal, and in particular of aluminum, an extremely efficient heat sink is formed. Lens elements 2220 or reflector elements 2220 can be positioned on the side of the light source 2210 in order to influence and customize the light emission properties of the light 1.Furthermore, these lens and / or reflector elements 2220 can be positioned on a translucent plate 2230. This translucent plate 2230 can also be configured opaquely or transparently depending on the desired light emission properties of the luminaire 1. It is also conceivable that the translucent plate 2230 is equipped with optical elements to further influence the light emission properties of the luminaire 1.

[0036] The light source 2110 emits light in a light emission direction toward the front side F of the housing 2100. The other components, such as the lens / reflector elements 2220 and / or the translucent plate 2230 and, of course, the light emission section 2102 or its plate-shaped main surface 2102x, are arranged behind the light source 2110 in the light emission direction. The light emission direction is essentially perpendicular to the extension axis L. Furthermore, the light emission section 2102 can be a front cover 2102 and further extend longitudinally along the extension axis L. The light emission section 2102 or the front cover 2102 provides protection for the illumination space 2120 of the lighting unit 2000 and thus provides protection for the optical unit 2200 and its components.

[0037] As in Fig. 10A to 10C, the luminaire 1 further comprises a clip element 2240 that firmly holds together the optical unit 2200, consisting of the light source 2210, the lens / reflector elements 2220, and / or the translucent plate 2230, and mounts the optical unit 2200 to the body 2101 and in particular to the mounting surface 2105. The mounting surface 2105 may comprise corresponding holding structures 2106 that can interact with the respective clip element 2240 and thus enable the optical unit 2200 to be clamped to the body 2101. The clip elements 2240 are snapped onto the body 2101 on one side and thereby clamp the optical unit 2200 against the body 2101. Thus, the clip element(s) 2240 ensure correct positioning of the optical unit 2200 and in particular of the lens / reflector elements 2220 relative to the light source 2210.

[0038] The clip element 2240 for attaching the light source 2210 to the body 2101 can thus be a separate element or formed integrally with the housing 2100 and / or the body 2101. In particular, the clip element 2240 can be formed as an extension of the support structures 2106. If the clip element 2240 is embodied as an additional component, it is preferably made of a plastic material, in particular polycarbonate, PC.

[0039] The functional box 3000 extends axially from an axial end face of the housing 2100, with the functional box 3000 and the housing 2100 together defining the rear R and the front F of the luminaire 1. The functional box 3000 is thus positioned on an end face of the housing 2100 or the body 2101 of the luminaire 1. The respective opposite side of the body 2101 is equipped with an end cap 5000, which laterally closes the housing 2100. The end cap 5000 can be made of polyamide.

[0040] In this case, the end cap 5000 can be mounted to the housing 2100 or the body 2101 via fastening means 2300, such as screws or the like, which cooperate with corresponding receiving holes 5010 of the end cap 5000. The functional box 3000 can also be coupled to the body 2101 via such fastening means 2300, wherein the functional box 3000 can have corresponding through-holes for receiving the fastening means 2300. A seal 4000 can be positioned between the functional box 3000 and the housing 2100 or the body 2101, as well as between the end cap 5000 and the housing 2100 or the body 2101. The seal 4000 seals the respective side surface openings of the housing 2100. By attaching the respective elements (the end cap 5000 or the function box 3000), the respective seals 4000 are clamped and seal the housing 2100.

[0041] The body 2101 can include corresponding receiving structures 2109 for receiving the fastening means 2300 to enable a stable and rigid connection of the functional box 3000 and the end cap 5000. These receiving structures 2109 also allow implementations in which the functional boxes 3000 are present at both ends of the housing 2100.

[0042] As shown in the cross-sectional view of Fig. 10A, Fig. 10B and Fig. 10C, the body 2101 is a profile element that can be formed by extrusion. The body 2101 can thus be a profile body and further extend longitudinally along the extension axis L. Here, the body 2101 comprises corresponding structural segments that enable a clamped coupling of further components of the luminaire 1. In particular, the body 2101 comprises structured side walls 2104 that run parallel to the extension axis L, as shown in the figures. These side walls 2104 protrude from the base of the body 2101, which forms the rear side R of the luminaire, toward the front side F.

[0043] Here, the above-mentioned receiving structures 2109 can be part of the respective side walls 2104. The side walls 2104 further comprise, on an underside of the side walls 2104, i.e., a side of the respective side wall 2104 facing the front side F, a connecting structure 2107 for connecting to the light-emitting section 2102. The light-emitting section 2102 also has a respective connecting structure 2103, wherein these corresponding connecting structures 2103, 2107 are configured to fasten the body 2101 and the light-emitting section 2102 relative to one another. These connecting structures 2103 of the light-emitting section 2102 can be positioned laterally parallel to the extension axis L of the luminaire 1.

[0044] Furthermore, the body 2101, and in particular its side walls 2104, may further comprise a seal receiving structure 2108 for receiving an elongated seal 2400 that seals the interior of the housing 2100 by cooperating with the light-emitting portion 2102. The material of the seal 2400 may be one of the previously mentioned materials.

[0045] In this case, it may be desirable for the coupling between the two connecting structures 2103, 2107 to be a locking coupling (in particular a snap-in coupling). Furthermore, the connecting structure 2103 of the light-emitting section 2102 is formed such that it holds the plate-shaped main surface 2102x of the light-emitting section 2102 (or the cover 2102) facing inward, so that the connecting structures 2103 of the light-emitting section 2102 are positioned behind the plate-shaped main surface 2102x of the light-emitting section 2102 in the light-emitting direction. In this case, the connecting structure(s) 2103 of the light-emitting section 2102 generally position the plate-shaped main surface 2102x of the light-emitting section 2102 such that it interacts with the elongated seal 2400.In this case, the plate-shaped main surface 2102x itself can comprise bulges on its side surfaces, which further increase a contact area and thus tension in the direction of a respective seal 2400, as in . Fig. 10A and Fig. 10B shown.

[0046] Fig. 10A to 10C show different implementations with respect to the light emitting portion 2102 and thus with respect to its connection structures 2103. Fig. 10A shows a configuration of an integrally molded light-emitting portion 2102 (or a translucent cover 2102). Here, the connecting structures 2103 are positioned laterally and are an integral component coupled to the respective plate-shaped main surface 2102x of the light-emitting portion 2102. In this implementation, the light-emitting portion 2102 may preferably be formed from a plastic material, such as polycarbonate, PC. Also shown herein, the plate-shaped main surface 2102x includes bulges on its side surfaces facing the interior of the housing 2100, such that when the light-emitting portion 2102 is coupled to the body 2101, the seal between the light-emitting portion 2102 and the seal 2400 is improved by increased tension between the seal 2400 and the bulge, i.e., the light-emitting portion 2102.With the shape of the light emitting section 2102 thus contoured, sealing of the lamp 1 from the front side F, mounting of the light emitting section 2102 to the body 2101 and protection of the optical unit 2200 are therefore achieved with the integrated light emitting section 2102.

[0047] Fig. 10B shows another implementation based on the Fig. 10A. An additional securing clip 2500 is provided, which engages the outer contours of the connecting structures 2103 of the light-emitting section 2102. The securing clip 2500 increases the rigidity and durability of the connection between the two connecting structures 2103, 2107 of the light-emitting section 2102 and the body 2101.

[0048] Fig. 10C shows another embodiment of the light-emitting section 2102. Here, the light-emitting section 2102 consists of separate components. In particular, the light-emitting section 2102 comprises the plate-shaped main surface section 2102x and the lateral connecting structures 2103. The lateral connecting structures 2103 hold the plate-shaped main surface section 2102x in place and push the plate-shaped main surface section 2102x toward the interior of the housing 2100 and thus toward the seal 2400. The lateral connecting structures 2103 also prevent lateral movement of the plate-shaped main surface section 2102x, so that the plate-shaped main surface section 2102x is held firmly in place. In this implementation, the plate-shaped main surface section 2102x of the light-emitting section 2102 is preferably made of glass. However, the lateral connecting structures 2103 are preferably made of polycarbonate (PC). The implementation configured in this way is particularly durable in aggressive environments, such as swimming pool areas or the like. With the light-emitting section 2102 configured in this way, sealing of the luminaire 1 from the front side F, mounting of the light-emitting section 2102 to the body 2101, and protection of the optical unit 2200 are achieved.

[0049] Regardless of the implementation of the light emitting section 2102, all Fig. 10A to 10C into the same housing 2100, so that a flexible configuration of the respective luminaire 1 is possible.

[0050] As in Fig. As shown in Figures 10A to 10C, the sealing effected by the elongated seal 2400 in cooperation with the light-emitting section 2102 (or its plate-shaped main surface 2102x) is positioned in an interior of the housing 2100, since the coupling between the two connecting structures 2103, 2107 already forms a first sealing barrier on the outside of the housing 2100. Therefore, with the two barriers—the outer barrier formed by the coupling of the connecting structures 2103, 2107 and the inner barrier formed by the seal between the seal 2400 and the light-emitting section 2102 (or the cover 2102 and in particular its plate-shaped main surface 2102x)—multiple instances for sealing the interior of the housing 2100 are realized, resulting in extremely favorable intrusion protection. These two barriers may further form a pre-chamber therebetween, which further protects against the ingress of dust, moisture, water and other objects into the lighting space 2120.

[0051] The housing 2100 and in particular its body 2101 or the side walls 2104 can further each comprise a lateral fastening structure 2111. This lateral fastening structure 2111 can be formed by a recess that runs parallel to the extension axis L and allows clamping of a bracket 2170, which can be used to couple the driver box 1000 to the housing 2100, as shown in Fig. 1 to 9. In particular, the bracket 2170 may be configured to fasten, preferably releasably fasten, the driver box 1000 to the housing 2100. The lateral fastening structure(s) 2111 is / are connected to the bracket 2170 and cooperates therewith such that the driver box 1000 is clamped between the bracket 2170 and the body 2101, as particularly shown in Fig. 1 to 4 illustrates.

[0052] In particular, the driver box 1000 is mounted on the rear side R of the luminaire 1 in such a way that it at least partially overlaps the functional box 3000 with a housing section 1301, viewed radially to the extension axis L, and wherein the driver 1220 is housed in the housing section 1301. This is specifically described in Fig. 5 to 7 shown.

[0053] The driver box 1000 can be cuboid-shaped. Furthermore, the driver box 1000 can comprise a housing 1100 having two housing components 1101, 1102. The housing 1100 can be formed from a lower housing part 1102 and an upper housing part 1101, wherein the lower housing part 1102 can essentially be a base plate 1104. The upper housing part 1101 can be box-shaped and thus span an interior space, i.e., a receiving space 1300 of the driver box 1000. The receiving space 1300 is configured to accommodate electrical driver components 1200 of the driver box 1000.

[0054] The surface of the upper housing part 1101 that is opposite the base plate 1104 is referred to as the mounting wall 1103, as it can be used for coupling to the driver 1220 and / or to a device carrier 1210 on which the driver 1220 is arranged. The components of the housing 1100 of the driver box 1000 can be attached to one another via coupling elements 1180, 1181, which can be formed by corresponding screw hole elements 1180 on the upper and lower housing parts 1101, 1102 and by corresponding screws 1181. Of course, other coupling mechanisms are also conceivable.

[0055] Furthermore, it is conceivable that a seal and / or other sealing structures are present between the lower housing part 1102 and the upper housing part 1101. Furthermore, an electrical connection component 1190 may be present on a side wall of the upper housing part 1101, which is arranged between the mounting wall 1103 and the base plate 1104 of the driver box 1000. This electrical connection component 1190 enables the coupling of the driver box 1000 to external lines for the supply of electrical energy (such as a mains connection) and / or for the supply of commands and communication. The electrical connection component 1190 may be implemented via an electrical connector, via a through-hole that allows the reception of the corresponding external lines, or the like.

[0056] Furthermore, on the outside of the driver box 1000 or on the outside of the housing 1100 of the driver box 1000, there are form-locking structures 1170 for receiving a part of the above-mentioned bracket 2170 in order to provide a form-locking connection at least along the extension axis L of the driver box 1000 to the body 2101 of the luminaire 1. The form-locking structures 1170 can be present both on the outer surface of the upper housing part 1101 and on the lower housing part 1102. It is further conceivable that a form-locking structure 1170 and corresponding screw hole elements 1180 can be formed contiguously, as also shown in Fig. 1 to 8 is shown.

[0057] The above-mentioned bracket 2170 for coupling the housing 2100 to the driver box 1000 may further include a hole 2172, and the positive-locking structures 1170 may similarly include a (screw) hole 1171, so that a coupling element 2173, such as a screw 2173, can be used to further fasten the bracket to the driver box 1000. Preferably, the screw holes 1171 of the positive-locking structures 1170 are arranged on the upper housing part 1101 of the driver box.

[0058] The device carrier 1210 can be a carrier board and / or a printed circuit board. Furthermore, a further electrical component 1290 can be arranged on the device carrier 1210 or the mounting wall 1103, wherein this further electrical component 1290 preferably generates less heat and / or is more heat-resistant than the driver 1220. The further electrical component 1290 can, for example, be a controller, an emergency driver, or another electrical component.

[0059] Furthermore, in Fig. 6 and Fig. 7 shows by way of example that the receiving space 1300 of the driver box 1000 for receiving components of the luminaire 1 can be divided into the above-mentioned housing section 1301 and further into an extension section 1302. In particular, the driver box 1000 shown is mounted on the rear side R of the luminaire 1 such that it partially overlaps the housing 2100 with an extension section 1302, viewed radially to the extension axis L. In this case, the driver 1220 and / or a device carrier 1210 on which the driver 1220 is arranged can be mounted on an inner surface of the mounting wall 1103 of the driver box 1000, wherein this mounting wall 1103 lies opposite the base plate 1104, i.e., a wall of the driver box 1000 that is in contact with the housing 2100. Here, between the base plate 1104 and the driver 1220 or.the further electrical component 1290, a certain amount of space is present, so that this empty space forms a further thermal insulation barrier and thus further improves the separation of heat generation, transfer and dissipation of the light source 2210 and the housing 2100 as its heat sink and the driver 1220 arranged in the driver box 1000.

[0060] In particular, the above-mentioned form-locking structures 1170 can be arranged approximately at an edge of the parting plane between the housing section 1301 and the extension section 1302, wherein the form-locking structures 1170 are preferably arranged at the extension section 1302 in order to enable a more stable and rigid connection to the housing 2100.

[0061] This also shows the exemplary embodiment of the lower housing part 1102 or the base plate 1104, which has a protruding / projecting structure 1105 that faces the rear side R of the housing 2100. In particular, this protruding / projecting structure 1105 can be present on the outer side of the base plate 1104 in the extension section 1302 of the driver box 1000. The protruding structure 1105 thus forms the contact surface of the driver box 1000 with the housing 2100 and can in particular be formed as a protruding edge 1105. Therefore, this protruding structure 1105 minimizes the contact surface between the housing 2100 and the driver box 1000, so that the thermal separation is further improved. In addition, the protruding structure 1105 creates a certain distance between the underside of the base plate 1104 and the surface of the rear side R of the housing 2100 orof the body 2101, so that the area in between is filled with air and thus forms further insulation.

[0062] Depending on the implementation of the functional box 3000, the protruding structure 1105 may also be present in the housing section 1310 of the driver box 1000 (e.g., if the rear sides R of the body 2101 and the functional box 3000 lie in an identical plane, ie, if the housing 2100 and the functional box 3000 have the same cross-sectional contour when viewed in a cross-section perpendicular to the extension axis L). In the exemplary embodiments shown in the figures (particularly visible in Fig. 1, Fig. 3 and Fig. 8), however, the housing 2100 and the functional box 3000 have the same cross-sectional contour only when viewed in a cross-section perpendicular to the extension axis L, so that there is a minimal height difference between the rear surfaces on the rear sides R. Thus, the protruding structure 1105 also forms a correction of the respective different contours.

[0063] The functional box 3000 may comprise a housing 3100 with two components, a base housing 3102 and a cover housing 3101, as shown in particular in Fig. 1 to 5 and 8 by way of example. The functional box 3000 or its housing 3100 can be a blank cover without additional features or components, except that it carries a corresponding electrical connection between the driver box 1000 and the lighting unit 2000. In the exemplary embodiments shown in the respective figures, the functional box 3000 comprises a functional element 3200 mounted within the cover housing 3100. The functional element 3200 can comprise a sensor, a light control device, a battery, and / or a wireless control module, or any combination thereof.

[0064] As particularly in Fig. 5 and Fig. As shown in Figure 8, the top side of the functional box 3000, i.e., the rear side R of the functional box 3000, or of its housing 3100, i.e., the cover housing 3101, comprises an opening 3110, wherein the opening 3110 can form a connector 3111 for electrical connection to the driver box 1000. Signals and / or electrical energy can be transmitted from the driver box 1000 to the functional box 3000 or its functional element(s) 3200, and vice versa. Furthermore, signals and / or electrical energy can be conducted from the driver box 1000 through the functional box 3000 to the lighting unit 2000, and vice versa.

[0065] As also shown in the respective figures, the underside of the driver box 1000 or the underside of the lower housing part 1102 or the base plate 1104 further comprises an electrical connector 1230 with a connecting plug element 1231. The electrical connector 1230 is connected to the driver 1220 and / or the device carrier 1210 or the further components 1290 arranged thereon and can thus be arranged on the mounting wall 1103 and / or the device carrier 1210 itself and extends from there to the base plate 1104.

[0066] Here, the plug element 1231 can extend from the driver box 1000 through the opening 3110 of the function box 3000 when the driver box 1000 is mounted on the rear R of the luminaire 1, and interact with the corresponding plug connector 3111 of the function box. Thus, a simple, stable, and reversible connection of the function box 3000 and the driver box 1000 is achieved with the opening 3110 of the function box 3000 or the plug connector 3111 and the plug element 1231 of the driver box 1000. Here, the plug connector 3111 and the plug element 1231 can interact with each other when the driver box 1000 is mounted on the rear R of the luminaire 1.

[0067] As an alternative to the electrical connector 1230 and its plug elements 1231, another opening may also be provided which allows electrical lines to pass from the driver box 1000 to the function box 3000 and / or the lighting unit 2000.

[0068] As particularly in Fig. 7 and Fig. As shown in Figure 8, respective complementary sealing elements 3112, 1232 may be provided near the opening 3110 on the cover housing 3101 and the electrical connector 1230 on the base plate 1104. In this case, a respective sealing projection 1232 of the driver box 1000 may engage a respective sealing recess 3112 of the functional box 3000, or vice versa. With this configuration, the openings and the connection, respectively, are sealed.

[0069] A respective channel may be provided between the function box 3000 and the luminaire unit 2000 for passing electrical lines from the function box 3000 (or possibly originally from the driver box 1000) into the housing 2100, so that the electrical components of the luminaire 1 can be easily connected.

[0070] As further shown in the figures, the above-mentioned bracket 2170 may be provided to hold the driver box 1000 in place relative to the luminaire unit 2000 and to the functional box 3000. This coupling may be further improved by the additional form-fitting structures 1170 and, in particular, by corresponding coupling elements 2173, such as screws 2173, which couple the bracket 2170 to the driver box 1000 and thus secure the coupling between the components of the luminaire 1. The additional coupling elements 2173 further prevent the driver box 1000 from being lifted off the rear side R of the luminaire 1 and thus also fix the coupling between the bracket 2170 and the lateral fastening structure(s) 2111 of the housing 2100. The bracket 2170 comprises hook elements 2174 at its end sections, which interact with the respective lateral fastening structure 2111 of the body 2101.In particular, the hook elements 2173 engage in the recess formed by the respective lateral fastening structure 2111, so that the bracket 2170 is clamped to the housing 2100. This engagement is particularly shown in FIG. Fig. 10A, Fig. 10B and Fig. 10C visible.

[0071] To facilitate the installation of the lamp 1, an additional bracket 2170 may be provided on the housing 2100. As shown in Fig. As shown in Figures 1 to 5, 8, and 9, the second bracket 2170 is also mounted on the body 2101 of the housing 2100. Here, the second bracket 2170 may be mounted in an area of the body 2101 where the driver box 1000 is not located, so that coupling with it for reinforced fastening is not possible. To achieve improved fastening of this bracket 2170, a suspension bracket fastening element 2180 is provided. The fastening element 2180 is positioned on the rear side R of the body 2101 and is further provided with a corresponding hole 2182. In this case, a respective coupling element 2173 can engage in the respective hole 2182 of the fastening element 2180 after passing through the respective hole 2172 of the bracket 2170, so that the bracket 2170 is firmly mounted on the housing 2100.Additionally or alternatively, the fastening element 2180 may further comprise a form-locking structure 1181 for receiving a portion of the above-mentioned bracket 2170 to provide a form-locking connection along the extension axis L toward the body 2101 of the luminaire 1. Thus, the fastening element 2180 prevents the bracket 2170 from inadvertently detaching from the housing 2100. The fastening element 2180 may be made of plastic and, in particular, may be made of polyamide.

[0072] As in Fig. 1, Fig. 5 and Fig. As further shown in Figure 8, the bracket 2170 may further comprise mounting elements 2171 for mounting the luminaire 1. The mounting elements 2171 may be configured for direct mounting of the luminaire 1 to a wall, a ceiling, or the like. Furthermore, it is conceivable that the luminaire 1 is a pendant luminaire, so that wires, ropes, cords, or the like are attached to the fastening elements 2171 for appropriate fastening of the luminaire 1.

[0073] As can be seen from the exemplary implementations shown in the figures, the outer surfaces of the housing 2100 ideally have no through holes or bores, thus preventing unwanted penetration of moisture, water, dust, or other objects. Only in the special implementation of a securing clip 2500, as exemplified in Fig. 10B illustrates, a fastening hole is provided on an outer surface of the housing 2100 for inserting the respective coupling element 2501 and thus for firmly coupling the securing clip 2500 to the body 2101. However, the respective hole does not extend into the interior region of the housing 2100 or into the illumination space 2120 of the luminaire 1. As an alternative to this implementation of the fastening of the securing clip 2500, another configuration is also conceivable in which the additional securing clip 2500 is formed as a securing bracket that extends from one side of the body 2101 to the other side along the rear side R of the body 2101, so that the securing bracket is firmly coupled to the housing 2100 via a clamp. Here, the light emitting section 2102 (or the cover 2102) and its connecting structure 2103 are held firmly in position via the securing bracket or the securing clip 2500.The safety clip 2500 can be made of polycarbonate, PC.

[0074] The driver box 1000 can be made of plastic material, further improving thermal separation. In particular, the driver box 1000 can be made of polyamide. A seal can be provided between the two housing components 1101, 1102 of the driver box 1000. The driver box 1000 is easily removable from the luminaire 1 and can thus be easily replaced, allowing changing power supply requirements or the like to be met by connecting a correspondingly configured driver box 1000. Thus, the operational flexibility of the luminaire 1 is further improved with this configuration.

[0075] The functional box 3000 can be made of a plastic material, in particular polyamide. The housing 3100 of the functional box 3000, i.e., the two housing parts 3101, 3102, can be manufactured by injection molding. The functional box 3000 provides sufficient volume to enable appropriate assembly of the desired devices or functional elements 3200.

[0076] The bracket 2170 may be made of metal and formed from sheet metal. The bracket(s) 2170 may thus be formed by bending the sheet metal. Since aluminum and steel must not come into direct contact with each other, powder coating of one component, several corresponding components, or all corresponding components may be desirable.

[0077] In general, the aforementioned metal-molded elements can also be powder-coated. This allows for a more personalized finish to the luminaire 1 and also provides an additional insulation barrier, both electrically and thermally. The powder coating can be applied in any desired color.

[0078] In a further particular embodiment, it is also conceivable that the driver box 1000 is separated from the rest of the luminaire 1 and is connected to it via a wire, so that the driver box 1000 can be used as a remote box.

[0079] As in the exemplary embodiment of Fig. 9, it is further conceivable that the luminaire 1 comprises two driver boxes 1000 and two function boxes 3000.

[0080] Here, the flat luminaire 1 comprises two of the function boxes 3000, wherein the function boxes 3000 extend axially from opposite the axial end faces of the housing 2100, wherein the function boxes 3000 and the housing 2100 together define the rear side R and the front side F of the luminaire 1, and wherein the flat luminaire 1 comprises two of the driver boxes 1000, wherein the driver boxes 1000 are each mounted on the rear side R of the luminaire 1, such that each of the driver boxes 1000 with its housing section 1301, viewed radially to the extension axis L, at least partially overlaps another of the function boxes 3000. Thus, on each front side of the luminaire 1 along the extension axis L, a driver box 1000 and a function box 3000 are present, as previously described with respect to the embodiments of Fig. 1 to 8. This implementation may be desirable in scenarios where the luminaire 1 must be very long. Different implementations are conceivable, wherein the driver 1220 is preferably accommodated in the housing section 1301 of one of the driver boxes 1000. In a scenario with two drivers 1220, the drivers 1220 are preferably also arranged in the respective housing sections 1301. In such a scenario, the light source 2210 of the luminaire 1 can be supplied with power from two drivers 1220, so that the load for each driver 1220 is minimized, which leads to less heat generation per driver 1220. Furthermore, in this implementation, the function boxes 3000 can be equipped differently (or identically) to meet the respective situational requirements. As in Fig.As illustrated in Figure 9, the two brackets 2170 used to further secure the driver boxes 1000 may be sufficient for mounting the luminaire 1.

[0081] Thus, various implementations of such a luminaire 1 are presented, each aiming to improve the flexibility of the operation of the luminaire 1. Embodiments of the luminaire 1 are presented, each comprising respective configurations regarding the thermal separation of individual components. Here, hotspots (such as the light source 2210 and its heat sink, the housing 2100, and the driver 1220) are spaced apart from each other, while simultaneously maintaining a flat and slim luminaire 1. Depending on the respective embodiment, it is possible to achieve a high output power for variants of up to 50k lumens and variants that can withstand an ambient temperature of up to 55°C. In addition, configurations for improving the sealing of the luminaire 1 as well as configurations for further improving the assembly and mounting of the luminaire 1 are provided. The respective features shown in the different embodiments are interchangeable unless otherwise stated.
