Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to an information system for warning signs on machines or vehicles.
[0002] To minimize the risk of accidents, machines and vehicles are often provided with warning stickers containing pictograms indicating various hazards, such as heat, hazardous substances, crushing, shearing, or entrapment hazards. The display of pictograms on the warning stickers can provide information or warnings regardless of the language. There are also relevant international standards for such warning stickers, such as ISO 7010, ISO 3864, and ISO 11684. However, the exact meaning of the pictograms is often difficult to interpret reliably, which can lead to hazards and dangerous situations.
[0003] It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide an information system for warning notices on machines or vehicles, which effectively enables a user to be informed using simple means and thereby increases operational safety.
[0004] This problem is solved by an information system having the features of claim 1.
[0005] The information system according to the invention for warning notices on machines or vehicles comprises at least one warning sticker affixed to a machine or vehicle, which has at least one pictogram and a machine-readable code, such as a QR code. The warning sticker can be affixed in the area of a hazardous location on the machine or vehicle, for example, where dangers arise from moving parts, flying objects, heat, hazardous substances, or other risks. The information system further comprises a mobile device, such as a mobile phone or a tablet PC, by means of which the machine-readable code can be scanned in order to display data from a data storage device of an information platform.By scanning the code with the mobile device, a website on the information platform can be accessed, so that the machine-readable code has a guidance function to guide the mobile device to the desired page. The information platform's data storage contains explanatory information on at least one pictogram on the warning sticker with the machine-readable code in several languages, which can be displayed on the mobile device. This allows users who are unfamiliar with or do not understand a pictogram on a warning notice to receive additional information in the desired language to better assess the risks in this area. This makes it easier to avoid potentially dangerous situations.
[0006] According to a preferred embodiment, the warning sticker has at least a first pictogram indicating a type of hazard and / or a second pictogram indicating a recommended protective measure. This allows both the hazardous situation and the protective measure to be optionally depicted both visually and displayed and explained via the mobile device.
[0007] The warning sticker is preferably attached to an agricultural vehicle, agricultural equipment, or construction machinery, but can also be attached to a trailer, agricultural equipment, or other machinery. The warning sticker can contain pictograms in accordance with the ISO 11684:2023 standard. Optionally, other warnings or pictograms designed by the user and not included in a standard can also be used.
[0008] In a method for reading warning information on a machine or vehicle, at least one warning sticker is first affixed to the machine or vehicle. The warning sticker contains at least one pictogram and a machine-readable code, such as a QR code. The warning sticker can also be affixed by the manufacturer of the machine or vehicle during the production process, particularly if the affixing of such warning stickers is required by law. Alternatively, the warning sticker can also be affixed at a later time. The machine-readable code on the warning sticker is then scanned by a mobile device to access a data storage facility on an information platform. The data storage can be accessed, for example, via a website provided by a provider of the warning stickers or the machine or vehicle, with corresponding information stored on a server. The machine-readable code is used to specifically locate the desired information on the information platform so that the corresponding pictogram on the warning sticker can be explained. Information about at least one pictogram on the warning sticker is then displayed on the mobile device. This allows a user in the vicinity of the machine or vehicle who does not understand a warning sticker to immediately receive information about the pictogram, in particular about the type of hazard and possible protective measures. In addition, further information about the vehicle, machine or device can optionally be retrieved.
[0009] Preferably, the language of the information relating to the at least one pictogram of the warning sticker can be selected on the mobile device. The selection process can be manual or automatic. With automatic selection of the language of the information, the information platform can preferably recognize the set language on the mobile device and automatically display the information in the set language. This increases the convenience and effectiveness of providing the information.
[0010] The invention will be explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawings. They show: Fig. 1 a schematically illustrated vehicle with an attachment; Fig. 2 a view of a possible presentation of information from an information platform by a mobile device, and Fig. 3 an example of a warning sticker with two pictograms.
[0011] A vehicle 1 is designed, for example, as a tractor and comprises a coupling device 2 for securing an attachment 3 to the vehicle 1. The attachment 3 can be connected to a further coupling point 4 and comprises a movable lever 5 and a bucket 6. A schematically illustrated warning sticker 10 is affixed to the vehicle 1, which, for example, has a pictogram with a warning regarding heat development of the engine. A further warning sticker 11 with at least one pictogram is provided on the attachment 3, for example with regard to the path of movement of the attachment 3 and the associated crushing or shearing hazards. The reason for affixing such warning stickers 10 and 11 is preferably a hazard warning, for example with regard to moving parts, shearing points, heat development, crushing hazards, or other hazards. In addition, warning labels 10 and 11 may contain further instructions for protective measures, such as keeping your distance, only entering the area with work shoes, wearing safety goggles, or other protective measures.
[0012] A user approaching a warning sticker 10 or 11 can scan a machine-readable code using a mobile device, such as a mobile phone or tablet PC, to access a website provided, for example, by the manufacturer of the warning stickers, machinery, or vehicles. There, specific information on the respective pictograms on the warning stickers 10 or 11 is provided.
[0013] In Fig. Figure 2 shows the view on a mobile device when a warning sticker 10 or 11 has been read. This view shows the warning sticker, which contains a first pictogram 12 relating to the type of danger posed by flying objects. This pictogram 12 is explained in the text below in various languages. Number 14 reads "thrown or flying objects" in English, and below that, number 16 reads "hurled or flying objects" in German. Below the upper pictogram 12 of the warning sticker, another pictogram relating to a recommended protective measure is shown. This protective measure is explained in English, "keep safe distance," and number 17 reads "safety distance maintain."
[0014] In the digital view on the mobile device, two different languages are displayed to explain the two pictograms 12 and 13. In practice, more than five or ten languages can be stored in the information platform to explain the pictograms, allowing effective provision of information for different countries and national languages. The language can be selected either manually on the mobile device or automatically, for example, if the information platform can query the mobile device to determine the language setting. Only the selected language will then be displayed.
[0015] In addition, further information can be provided about the pictograms, such as which objects are flying around, at what speed, and what safety distance should be maintained.
[0016] In Fig.Figure 3 shows an example of a warning sticker 20 containing two pictograms, 21 and 22. The upper pictogram 21 is intended to indicate a potential crushing hazard, for example, to prevent users from standing under a tilted loading area. Such a pictogram is also useful to prevent repairs or maintenance work from being carried out under raised equipment without securing it. Furthermore, the user can be warned not to reach or stand underneath when such equipment is raised.
[0017] The warning sticker 20 contains a machine-readable code 23 in the form of a QR code, which, when scanned by a mobile device, automatically redirects the device to a page of the information platform to explain pictograms 21 and 22. Pictogram 22 is intended to explain a corresponding protective measure that is not easily understandable without specialist knowledge, so that the user can obtain additional information by scanning the QR code.
