[0023] A crimping tool is a widely used hand tool for electrical wiring, network installation, and other tasks. Its primary function is to securely and reliably connect a wire to a connector (such as an RJ45 plug, wire terminal, or similar). A typical crimping tool usually comprises a pair of handles connected by a pivoting shaft, upper and lower jaws (or clamping bars) attached to the front ends of the handles, and a self-locking mechanism located on the head of the tool. This self-locking mechanism engages automatically once the preset crimping force is reached when the user applies pressure to crimp, ensuring a complete crimp and effectively preventing poor contact due to insufficient pressure.
[0024] To release the self-locking mechanism after crimping, the crimping pliers must be equipped with a release device. In related technologies, the crimping pliers' release device, such as a release button or lever, is located on the inside of the two handles. This arrangement is inconvenient to use. For example, if the user has particularly large fingers, it is difficult to fit them between the two handles, which can impair efficiency.
[0025] To solve the aforementioned problems, the present application discloses a crimping tool comprising a fastening element, a movable plier head, a movable handle, and a locking component, wherein one end of the fastening element forms a fastening plier head and the other end forms a fastening handle; wherein the movable plier head is hinged to the fastening element at the first point, the first point being located between the jaws of the crimping tool and the fastening handle; the movable handle and the movable plier head are hinged to the second point; the locking component comprises a coupling section, a first elastic element, an adjustment section, and a second elastic element. The coupling section is hinged to the fastening element at the third point and to the movable handle at the fourth point; the connecting lines linking the first, second, third, and fourth points form a quadrilateral. The first elastic element is connected to the coupling section and is configured to reset the coupling section; the adjustment section is rotatably connected to the movable handle and adjusted to the coupling section to limit the outward rotation of the movable handle, wherein, in the vertical direction, the projection of the adjustment section lies entirely within the projection of the movable handle, the vertical direction being the direction perpendicular to the quadrilateral formed by the first point, the second point, the third point, and the fourth point; the second elastic element is connected to the adjustment section and is configured to reset the coupling section; The locking component also includes a forced release component that is rigidly connected to the adjustment section, the forced release component being located on one side of the movable handle facing the user or facing away from the user.
[0026] With reference to Fig. Figures 1 to 10 represent embodiments of the present utility model, comprising a crimping tool 100, a movable plier head 20, a movable handle 30, and a locking component 40, wherein one end of the fastening element 10 forms a fastening plier head 11 and the other end forms a fastening handle 12. The movable plier head 20 is pivotally connected to the fastening element 10 at the first point 101, the first point 101 being located between the jaws 105 of the crimping tool 100 and the fastening handle 12. The movable handle 30 is pivotally connected to the movable plier head 20 at the second point 102. The locking component is connected to the movable handle 30 and the fastening element 10, with the connection point to the fastening element 10 being the third point 103 and the connection point to the movable handle 30 being the fourth point 104.
[0027] For better description, the crimping tool 100 is shown in Fig. 2 is used as a directional reference for the directional description; that is, the upper end of the crimping pliers 100 comprises the movable plier head 20 and the fastening plier head 11, while the lower end of the crimping pliers 100 comprises the fastening handle 12 and the movable handle 30. The left side of the crimping pliers 100 comprises the movable plier head 20 and a movable handle 30, while the right side of the crimping pliers 100 comprises a fastening element 10. The area between the two handles is the inside, and the side where the two handles are furthest apart is the outside. It is understood that the above directional indication serves only to simplify the following description and does not represent any further limitation for the crimping pliers 100.
[0028] The first point 101 is located approximately in the middle position of the movable plier head 20, the second point 102 is located to the left and below the first point 101, and the second point 102 refers to the lower end of the movable plier head 20 and the upper end of the movable handle 30, the third point 103 is located to the right and below the first point 101 and the second point 102 and is located approximately in the middle position of the fastening element 10, the fourth point 104 is located to the left of the third point 103 and below the second point 102.
[0029] When the user presses the fastening handle 12 and the movable handle 30, the lower end of the movable handle 30 rotates towards the fastening element 10, and the upper end of the movable handle 30 rotates in a direction away from the fastening element 10, thereby rotating the upper end of the movable plier head 20 in a direction towards the fastening plier head 11, and the jaws 105 close to clamp the workpiece.
[0030] In some embodiments, the movable plier head 20 is approximately triangular and consists of two superimposed sheet metal parts. The movable handle 30 also consists of two sheet metal parts. These two sheet metal parts are arranged vertically spaced apart and clamped to the movable plier head 20. A fastening element is located between the sheet metal parts to secure them together. The fastening element 10 can be a screw, a rivet, or a similar structure. Accordingly, the fastening element 10 is also formed from two sheet metal parts that are vertically spaced apart.
[0031] The locking component 40 comprises a coupling section 41, a first elastic element 42, an adjusting section 43, a second elastic element 44, and a forced release component 430. The coupling section 41 is pivotally connected to the fastening element 10 at a third point 103 and to the movable handle 30 at a fourth point 104, with the connecting lines linking the first point 101, the second point 102, the third point 103, and the fourth point 104 forming a quadrilateral. The first elastic element 42 is connected to the coupling section 41 and is configured to reset the coupling section 41. The adjusting section 43 is rotatably connected to the movable handle 30 and interacts with the coupling section 41 to limit outward rotation of the movable handle 30.The second elastic element 44 is connected to the adaptation section 43 and is configured to reset the coupling section 41.
[0032] Alternatively, both the first elastic element 42 and the second elastic element 44 are tension springs, with the upper end of the first elastic element 42 connected to the fastening element 10 and the lower end of the first elastic element 42 connected to the right end of the coupling section 41. It should be noted that the first elastic element 42 and the second elastic element 44 are not limited to tension springs; in some other embodiments, they may also be torsion springs or other structures capable of resetting the coupling section 41 and the adjusting section 43.
[0033] The coupling section 41 and the adjustment section 43 work together to prevent the jaws 105 from opening. When the coupling section 41 and the adjustment section 43 are disengaged, the first elastic element 42 and the second elastic element 44 can reset the coupling section 41 and the adjustment section 43, thereby automatically opening the jaws 105.
[0034] In some embodiments, the projection of the adjusting section 43 is located entirely within the projection of the movable handle 30 in the vertical direction. The vertical direction is the direction perpendicular to the quadrilateral formed by the first point 101, the second point 102, the third point 103, and the fourth point 104; it is also the direction perpendicular to the crimping pliers 100, which are located in Fig. 2 is shown.
[0035] It should be noted that the projection of the adjusting section 43 lies entirely within the projection of the movable handle 30, which means that the majority of the projection of the adjusting section 43 lies within the projection of the movable handle 30 and a small part lies outside the projection of the movable handle 30 when the adjusting section 43 is in the reset state and when the adjusting section 43 is in the locked rotation position.
[0036] The forced release component 430 is rigidly connected to the adjusting section 43 and is located on one side of the movable handle 30, facing either towards or away from the user. By rotating the release component 430, the adjusting section 43 can be set in motion, thereby achieving the purpose of forced release.
[0037] The forced release component 430 is exposed on the outer surface of the movable handle 30, specifically arranged on a user-facing side of the crimping pliers 100, or, in some embodiments, on a side of the crimping pliers 100 facing away from the user. This external arrangement allows the user to directly access the forced release component 430 with their thumb or index finger without the need for other tools, thereby enabling the user to easily rotate the adjusting section 43 to release the coupling between the adjusting section 43 and the coupling section 41. That is to say, the forced release of the crimping pliers 100 according to the present application is simpler and more convenient.
[0038] In some embodiments, the forced release component 430 is provided to include the following: a sleeve 4301; a lever 4302 which is arranged on the circumferential side of the sleeve 4301.
[0039] Specifically, the longitudinal direction of the lever 4302 and the direction of rotation of the sleeve 4301 form an angle. This angle can be set, for example, to 90 degrees or 45 degrees, as long as the movement of the lever 4302 is comfortable for the user; the present application does not provide for any specific limitations. The sleeve 4301 is rigidly connected to the coupling section 43, so that if the coupling section 43 and the connecting section 41 unintentionally engage or lock, the lever 4302 is rotated to rotate the sleeve 4301 and the coupling section 43 synchronously, thereby releasing the locking state of the coupling section 43 and the connecting section 41. The lever 4302 is located on one side of the movable handle 30, facing either towards or away from the user.
[0040] Specifically, the sleeve 4301 is cylindrical and has a circular cylinder; a rectangular hole is provided inside the sleeve 4301; a prism is formed at the tip of the adapting section 43, which adapts to the rectangular hole; the prism penetrates the rectangular hole and is connected to a clamping cap to limit the forced release component 430.
[0041] In some embodiments, the adapting section 43 and the coupling section 41 are interlocked so that the adapting section 43 and the coupling section 41 can rotate synchronously.
[0042] The adaptation section 43 comprises a column 4311, a engagement tooth 4312, and a connecting block 4313. The column 4311 is rotatably connected to the movable handle 30. The engagement tooth 4312 is connected to the column 4311 and adapted to the adaptation section 43. The connecting block 4313 is connected to the column 4311, with one end of the second elastic element 44 connected to the connecting block 4313 and the other end connected to the movable handle 30. The sleeve 4301 is placed on the projection at the upper end of the column 4311.
[0043] In some embodiments, the coupling section 41 is strip-shaped and is provided with several teeth 410 at its left end, the teeth 410 engage in the opposing teeth 4312, and an end of the coupling section 41 facing away from the teeth 410 is formed with a hole for fitting to the first elastic element 42.
[0044] In combination with Fig. In some embodiments, as described in figures 7 to 10, the crimping pliers 100 also comprise a plier component 50 located in the jaws 105, wherein the plier component 50 is detachably connected to at least one of the fastening plier heads 11 or the movable plier head 20. Alternatively, two plier components 50 are provided, one of which is detachably connected to the fastening plier head 11 and the other to the movable plier head 20. Furthermore, the two plier components 50 interact with each other to clamp the workpiece.
[0045] In some embodiments, at least one of the fastening pliers head 11 or the movable pliers head 20 is provided with a connecting groove 60, wherein the connecting groove 60 has a first end 601 and a second end 602. The pliers component 50 comprises a pliers section 51 and a connecting section 52. The pliers section 51 is located in the jaws 105 and is provided with a buckle groove 5111, which is directly opposite the first end 601 of the connecting groove 60. The connecting section 52 is arranged to penetrate through the connecting groove 60 and the buckle groove 5111 in order to connect the pliers section 51 to the corresponding fastening pliers head 11 or movable pliers head 20. The connecting section 52 can move to the second end 602 to disengage from the buckle groove 5111.
[0046] Specifically, both the fastening pliers head 11 and the movable pliers head 20 are provided with a connecting groove 60. When the connecting section 52 is located at the first end 601, and since the connecting section 52 is arranged to penetrate the buckle groove 5111 and the connecting groove 60, the pliers section 51 can be connected to the corresponding fastening pliers head 11 or the movable pliers head 20. When the connecting section 52 moves to the second end 602, and since it disengages from the buckle groove 5111, the pliers section 51 can detach from the corresponding pliers head.
[0047] The connecting section 52 is a structure that is larger at both ends and smaller in the middle, similar to a bolt with a nut or a bolt with a washer. The dimensions of the ends of the connecting section 52 are larger than the connecting groove 60, while the dimensions of the middle section are smaller than the connecting groove 60. Thus, the connecting section 52 can slide in the connecting groove 60 without disengaging from it. The buckle groove 5111 is an open groove, allowing the connecting section 52 to move into or out of the buckle groove 5111 as the connecting section moves within the connecting groove 60.
[0048] The pliers section 51 can be attached or removed by sliding the connecting section 52, and the process of attaching or removing the pliers section 51 is simple and quick.
[0049] In some embodiments, the longitudinal direction of the connecting groove 60 is inclined relative to the longitudinal direction of the jaws 105. This arrangement prevents the pliers section 51 from falling apart due to accidental contact.
[0050] In some embodiments, the connecting groove 60 has a fastening part 603 and a release part 604, wherein the first end 601 is located in the fastening part 603, the second end 602 is located in the release part 604, the buckle groove 5111 is directly opposite the fastening part 603, and along the width direction of the connecting groove 60, the fastening part 603 is larger than the release part 604.
[0051] When the connecting section 52 rotates into the appropriate position, it can slide between the fastening part 603 and the release part 604. If the connecting section 52 is not rotated into the appropriate position, it can only be located in the fastening part 603 and cannot move into the release part 604, thus further improving the stability of the connecting section 52 for fastening the clamping section 51.
[0052] In some embodiments, the fastening part 603 is circular, and the release part 604 has the form of a raceway. The central part of the connecting section 52 also has the form of a raceway, thus allowing the connecting section 52 to rotate within the fastening part 603. When it rotates into the position corresponding to the release part 604, it can slide towards the release part 604.
[0053] In some embodiments, the connecting section 52 comprises a connecting column 521 and two limiting ends 522. The connecting column 521 extends through the buckle groove 5111 and the connecting groove 60, and two limiting ends 522 are provided at both ends of the connecting column 521. When the connecting column 521 is at the first end 601, it can rotate, and once it has rotated into the appropriate position, it can move to the second end 602.
[0054] The area of the limiting end 522 is larger than the area of the connecting column 521; the two limiting ends 522 can be the same or different. If, for example, the connecting section 52 consists of a screw in conjunction with a washer or nut, one of the two limiting ends 522 can be the end of the screw and the other limiting end 522 a washer or nut. Alternatively, the connecting column 521 has the form of a raceway.
[0055] In some embodiments, the pliers section 51 has a mounting block 511 and a clamping block 512, the mounting block 511 and the clamping block 512 are connected to each other, the buckle groove 5111 is located on the mounting block 511, and the mounting block 511 is provided on the fastening pliers head 11 or the movable pliers head 20.
[0056] In summary, the embodiments of the present application provide a crimping tool 100. The external arrangement of the forced release component 430 allows the user easy access to this component, thus facilitating forced release. Furthermore, the ability to move the connecting section 52 allows for control of the fastening or loosening of the crimping section 51, thereby simplifying its replacement or disassembly.
[0057] The foregoing represents only specific embodiments of the present utility model; however, the scope of protection of the present utility model is not limited thereto. Any person familiar with the technical field can readily imagine various equivalent modifications or replacements, and these modifications and replacements should be covered by the scope of protection of the present utility model.
