Abstract

Battery comprising: a housing made of a first material having a first thermal conductivity, wherein the housing defines a cavity, and an interface configured to be coupled to a power consumption device; and a cell frame held within the cavity of the housing, wherein the cell frame comprises: a cell core comprising a plurality of openings for holding a plurality of battery cells, a first cell end frame arranged adjacent to the cell core, the first cell end frame surrounding a first section of the battery cells, and a second cell end frame arranged adjacent to the cell core opposite the first cell end frame, the second cell end frame surrounding a second section of the battery cells;wherein the first cell end frame and the second cell end frame are made of a second material which has a second thermal conductivity that is greater than the first thermal conductivity.
