Description

Field of the invention

[0001] The invention relates to a pluggable filter module arrangement for filtering fluids, which can be mounted on one another in a bearing support. State of the art

[0002] Various filter systems are known which, for example, filter fluids for industrial purposes and then discharge the filtered fluid again. Since a large amount of filtrate often has to be provided for industrial purposes, it is advantageous to use multiple filter modules and thereby increase the amount of filtrate. One such filter system is disclosed, for example, in WO 2013 / 048801 A1. This comprises a filter module arrangement which includes a container with a filter cartridge arranged therein and a header coupled to one end of the container, wherein the head includes a housing with an open upper end and a lower end and an end cap. A portion which fits onto a complementary structure defined by the interior of the entire open upper end of the housing so as to removably engage the housing and the end cap defines a passage through which liquid can flow out of the container. The filter module assembly enables a manifold arrangement used to transfer fluids to and from a filter system comprising multiple such modules. However, the assembly of such filter systems is time-consuming because the modules must be precisely assembled on the connecting pipes and the filter modules are difficult to align.

[0003] WO 2015 / 050764 A1 discloses a method for repairing a membrane filtration module that is in fluid communication with a plurality of additional membrane filtration modules, wherein a fluid transfer assembly is brought into fluid communication with the membrane filtration module, the membrane filtration module is fluidly isolated from the plurality of additional membrane filtration modules, liquid within the membrane filtration module is forced into the fluid transfer assembly by introducing a pressurized gas into the membrane filtration module, releasing the pressurized gas from the membrane filtration module, fluidly separating the fluid transfer assembly from the membrane filtration module, repairing one or more damaged membranes in the membrane filtration module, and fluidly connecting the membrane filtration module to the plurality of additional membrane filtration modules.

[0004] WO 2009 / 057903 A2 discloses a filter membrane module and a filtration device having the same, which are capable of significantly reducing vibration of the filter membrane module during a ventilation operation for maintenance cleaning of the filter membrane and preventing a crack from occurring in the filter membrane module due to the vibration, the filter membrane module comprising: a filter membrane; a head to which the filter membrane is molded and which has a first lateral side and a second lateral side opposite to the first lateral side; a first connecting unit provided on the first lateral side; and a second connecting unit provided on the second lateral side.

[0005] US 2002 / 0179517 A1 discloses an apparatus for filtering a liquid in a tank, comprising a plurality of elements and a frame for holding the elements while immersed in the liquid. The elements include a plurality of hollow fiber membranes attached to and suspended between an upper header and a lower header. The membranes are in fluid communication with one or more passageways in one or more of the headers. Releasable attachments between the headers and the frame enable the frame to releasably hold the elements to their headers. The size and configuration of the frame determines the relative position of the upper and lower heads of each element. The connections between the permeate channels and one or more permeate collection tubes attached to the frame are detachable and resealable connections that are automatically made or broken by the movements when inserting or removing an element into or from the frame.

[0006] WO 2008 / 071516 A1 discloses tappings, the structure comprising a frame supporting a lower manifold, a middle manifold, and an upper manifold extending substantially horizontally, each manifold comprising tappings and connecting elements for connecting at least some tappings of each of the membrane modules to the tappings of the manifolds. According to the invention, the connecting elements comprise T-pieces provided on at least one of the manifolds and at least a first set of removable tubular elements suitable for connecting the membrane modules of a first type to the manifolds.

[0007] US 2005 / 045552 A1 discloses a modular fluid treatment assembly in which modules of the system each have a head that can be connected in different configurations to one or more heads (of one or more other modules). In some embodiments, the relationship between a cartridge of the module and its corresponding head prevents fluid from penetrating between the cartridge and an outer shell of the module. Some embodiments further provide a module having a head with substantially concentric inlet and outlet openings in fluid communication with a cartridge coupled to the head. Description of the invention

[0008] The object of the invention is to provide a filter module arrangement in which the filter modules can be easily aligned with each other with high precision, tightly packed and quickly assembled.

[0009] The object is achieved by a pluggable filter module arrangement according to claim 1. Further features which develop the invention are contained in the dependent claims.

[0010] A pluggable filter module arrangement according to the invention for filtering fluids comprises a plurality of filter modules, wherein a filter module has a filtrate region, a fluid inflow channel connected to the filtrate region, a fluid outflow channel connected to the filtrate region and a filter device through which fluid is filtered from the fluid inflow channel into the filtrate region, wherein the fluid inflow channel and the fluid outflow channel each have an inlet opening and an outlet opening which are designed to be plugged into one another, so that a common fluid channel is formed from a plurality of filter modules, and wherein the filter modules have at least one running element on which the filter module can be mounted and a bearing support in which the plurality of filter modules are received and fastened, wherein the bearing support has at least one first guide rail,in which the filter modules are movably guided and supported by means of the running elements. It is preferred that the filter modules have the running element on the header, in particular on the top side of the header. Such filter modules, which have running elements that run in guide rails of a bearing support, are very easy to connect, since the connecting channels through which the running elements interact with the guide rails are already vertically aligned. A bearing support includes all types of external support, for example, building walls, grids, scaffolding, bearing supports, beams, or any other type of support that can carry a large number of filter modules. Scaffolding that accommodates the entire filter assembly is particularly preferred. The simple plug-in capability of the matching fluid drains supports rapid assembly. Nestable modules can be assembled very quickly, especially with rails.which makes alignment extremely easy.

[0011] The bearing support can have a plurality of parallel guide rails. This allows multiple filter modules to be accommodated and / or the filter modules to be stored in at least two locations. Furthermore, the bearing support can have a plurality of guide rails running perpendicular to one another. This can increase the flexibility of the module arrangement, particularly when replacing individual filter modules.

[0012] The inlet and outlet openings preferably have a seal. The seal is preferably designed such that when the filter assembly is exposed to the fluid, the sealing effect is enhanced even at a fluid pressure of 1.0 bar, preferably 0.5 bar. This is ensured by the seal having a cross-section in the shape of a horizontal V. Preferably, there is a projection, in particular a triangular projection, at the upper end of the rectangular base. Further preferably, the upper leg is also tapered.

[0013] A filter module assembly preferably comprises a fixing device for compressing and holding the filter modules in the support. Such a fixing device can have at least two fastening elements, each of which can be fastened to the outermost filter modules, and a clamping device for applying a clamping force to the filter modules located between the fastening elements.

[0014] Also possible is a fixing device for compressing and holding the filter modules in the bearing support. The fixing device can be attached to an outermost filter module and to the bearing support and has a clamping device for applying a clamping force to the filter module. This improves assembly and, above all, security against unintentional movement of the filter modules. Such a fixing device can be formed in the modules and / or outside the modules.

[0015] The filter module has two or more running elements. These are preferably arranged at at least two spaced-apart locations, in particular mounted in the same guide rail. This reliably prevents the filter modules from twisting. The filter modules have at least two or more running elements that interact with a second or additional guide rail. This results in better grip, better guidance, and better distributed weight force, which reduces stress on the components and thus also reduces wear.

[0016] The running element(s) preferably have rollers (wheels, balls, rollers) for low-friction movement in the guide rails.

[0017] At least one guide rail preferably has a releasable lock at at least one end for blocking and releasing a loading opening, so that the running elements can be easily loaded into the storage support. If multiple guide rails are present, these can also have a lock. This prevents the modules from falling out.

[0018] The guide rails are preferably arranged slightly offset from one another so that the filter modules are mounted at an angle.

[0019] The inlet and / or outlet openings can be tapered at the end. This further simplifies the assembly of the modules.

[0020] A method according to the invention for assembling a filter module assembly, in particular with one of the assemblies described above, comprises the steps of providing a plurality of similar filter modules and a bearing support with at least one guide rail, inserting the filter modules into the guide rail, pushing the filter modules together, and securing the filter modules. This method is highly efficient for forming a filter module assembly. Short description of the characters

Description of the preferred embodiments

[0022] In general, the combinations of the embodiments are not limited to those shown. Thus, different filter modules 10 can be equipped with different bearing supports 40, running elements 28, or guide rails 42.

[0023] The filter module 10 has a main body 12 on which at least one fluid inflow channel 14 and at least one fluid outflow channel 16 are formed (see Figures 3a and 3b ). In Figure 3bSeveral filter modules 10 are shown, wherein the reference numerals are assigned only as examples and the fluid outflow channels 16 and fluid inflow channels 14, hereinafter also referred to as fluid channels, can also be arranged in reverse. The fluid channels 14, 16 generally have an inlet opening 20 and an outlet opening 22, through which the fluid can flow to the filter module 10 and also on to the next filter module 10. Furthermore, the fluid inflow channels 14 are connected via a filter device to a filtrate region, which receives the raw fluid after filtering. Here, the main body 12 is designed as a filtrate region, which then guides the filtrate after filtering to the fluid outflow channel 16. The fluid channels 14, 16 run in Figure 3a in one direction into the image plane. In Figure 3dThe fluid channels 14, 16 run from top to bottom and are plugged together. This ensures that a whole series of interconnected filter modules 10 can be supplied with raw fluid via one supply line. Each filter module 10 takes up a portion of the raw fluid flowing in through the inlet opening 20 of the fluid inflow channel 14 with the filter device and directs the excess through the outlet opening to the next module. On the last module, i.e. on the filter module 10 arranged at the outermost edge, a cover designed for this purpose can close the outlet opening. The same applies analogously to the fluid outlet channels 16, where the inlet of the outermost filter module 10 is then closed and the fluid outlet channels 16 are connected to one another and to the filtrate area so that the filtrate can be drained away. The filter module 10 also includes a running element 28, which serves as a suspension device on the bearing support 40 described below. The running element 28 is designed as a rolling or sliding device and is attached to the filter module 10 so that the filter module 10 can be moved by means of the running element 28. The running element 28 is described in more detail below with reference to the figures.

[0024] Normally, the individual filter modules 10 are connected to each other by means of pipes, and the inlet and outlet openings 20, 22 are then identically formed. In the present invention, the inlet and outlet openings 20, 22 are designed as two complementary openings, so that the inlet opening 20 can be inserted into the outlet opening 22. Figure 1aAn inlet opening 20 is shown as an example, which has a groove 26 for a sealing ring 30. The inlet opening 20 is specifically designed here to be inserted into the outlet opening 22. Therefore, a chamfer 24 or another type of taper or radius is preferably formed at the insertion end of the inlet opening 20, which simplifies insertion. Likewise, the inlet end of the Figure 1b An angled configuration such as a chamfer 24 may be provided on the inside of the outlet opening 22 shown. The openings 20, 22 may also be constructed such that the inlet opening 20 accommodates the outlet opening 22, and the sealing ring 30 may be provided on the inside of the receiving opening. Figure 1c shows how the openings 20, 22 are inserted into each other.

[0025] A possible cross section of a sealing ring 30 is shown in Figure 2aThe sealing ring 30 has a cross-section in the shape of a laterally positioned "V," with the base 33, where the legs 31 of the "V" meet, being rectangular. However, the two legs 31 point away from each other. Figure 2b is a modified form of the sealing ring 30 from Figure 1a which can further enhance the sealing effect. This shape features a projection 32, particularly a triangular projection 32, at the upper end of the rectangular base 33. Furthermore, the upper leg 31 is also tapered.

[0026] In the embodiments shown, the fluid channels 14, 16 are mounted in a header 18, which is attached to the end of the main body 12 and serves as a cover element there. The header 18 can also be provided at both ends of the main body 12, so that raw fluid is supplied to the filter module 10 and filtrate is discharged from both sides. The number and arrangement of the fluid channels 14, 16 can vary in principle, and the headers 18 can also differ from one another, provided the fluid modules have them in the same place so that they can be plugged together. Furthermore, the filter module 10 has a filter device (not shown) through which fluid is filtered from the fluid inflow channel 14 into the filtrate region. The filters of a filter module 10 are generally designed as hollow-fiber membranes or flat membranes.

[0027] In order to store these filter modules 10 together, as in Figure 3ashown - a bearing support 40 is provided in which the filter modules 10 are held. For this purpose, the bearing support 40 has a guide rail 42 in which the filter modules 10 are mounted and guided. Such a bearing support 40 can be designed in any desired manner, provided it is sufficiently stable to hold a large number of fluid modules. For example, the bearing support 40 can be designed as a wall made of concrete, bricks, wooden beams, or other materials, as a framework or frame made of metal such as steel or iron, or even just as a simple plate. For example, a frame consisting primarily of guide rails 42 can form the bearing support 40. Different bearing supports 40 are shown in the figures in order to describe different aspects of the invention. The concrete design of the bearing support 40 can, however, be varied as desired and is not related to the individual aspects explained in each case.Generally, one guide rail 42 is sufficient to hold the filter modules 10, but preferably two or more guide rails 42 are provided for each filter module 10. The storage and, above all, the movement of the filter modules 10 is simplified by multiple suspension points. Two running elements 28 can also be provided next to one another for one guide rail 42, so that the orientation of the filter module 10 with respect to the guide rail 42 is fixed and thus the orientation of the filter modules 10 with respect to one another. The filter modules 10 are then inserted into the guide rail(s) 42, moved along the guide rail(s) 42 and connected to one another. The guide rails 42 can also be crossed, in particular at vertical angles, so that the filter modules 10 can also be moved laterally. For example, a parallel guide rail 42 can be provided for the replacement of filter modules 10, which also allows access to centrally arranged filter modules 10 via such vertically arranged guide rails 42. This can significantly accelerate the replacement of damaged filter modules 10. A barrier, e.g., a flap or a pin, can be provided at the inlet of the guide rail 42. This barrier prevents a running element 28 of the filter module 10 from passing through and thus also reliably prevents edge-mounted filter modules 10 from falling out. This barrier must first be opened in order to insert the filter modules 10 into the loading opening of the guide rail 42.

[0028] In the Figures 3a to d various suspensions of the filter modules 10 are shown. The bearing support 40 is only shown schematically as a wall or ceiling with guide rail 42. In Figure 3aA vertical suspension is shown, in which the running element 28 is formed at the tip of the headers 18 (i.e., at the very top and at the very bottom) and in which the fluid channels 14, 16 have the same orientation. Here, the guide rails 42 are arranged above and below the filter modules 10. Figure 3b A vertical suspension is also shown; in which the filter modules 10 are oppositely aligned with respect to the fluid channels 14, 16. In Figure 3c A horizontal suspension is shown, in which the filter modules 10 are also mounted on the header 18 on the bearing support 40. The horizontal suspension can also be aligned the same or opposite, as already mentioned above. Figure 3dThe filter modules 10 are also suspended horizontally. Here, the connection of the fluid channels 14, 16 can be seen directly in the top view, showing how a continuous fluid channel is formed when the fluid channels are pushed into one another. Another special feature of Figure 3d is that the filter modules 10 are suspended at an incline. The angle of inclination does not need to be particularly large, for example, 1-3°.

[0029] In the Figures 4a to 4c Different types of bearing supports 40 are shown. In Figure 4a A bearing cage is shown, which consists, among other things, of bars 43 in the form of transverse, longitudinal, and vertical bars, and in which the guide rails 42 are arranged between the bars 43. Here, two guide rails 42 are shown, but there may also be more than two or just one. Figure 4bTwo guide rails 42 are also shown between two rods 43 anchored in the ground, which allow a one-sided arrangement of filter modules 10. Furthermore, running elements 28 and guide rails 42 can also be provided on the header 18 and on the bearing support 40. In Figure 4c is the execution from Figure 4b shown, which allows a two-sided arrangement of the filter modules 10. Here, it may also be useful to use a central wall or a plate instead of two rods 43 in order to increase stability.

[0030] The Figures 5a to 5e show schematically different arrangement points for the running elements 28 on the filter modules 10. In Figure 5a the running elements 28 are arranged at the outermost ends of the header 18. In Figure 5b The running elements 28 are provided on the side of the filter module 10. In Figure 5conly one running element 28 is arranged on the side of the filter module 10. However, a single running element 28 can also be located on the top of the upper header 18. In Figure 5d Three running elements 28 are provided, the arrangement being a combination of the arrangements from the Figures 5a and 5c is. And in Figure 5e the fluid channels 14, 16 have the running elements 28, here specifically the fluid inflow channels 14.

[0031] In the Figures 6a to 6c schematic embodiments of the running element 28 and guide rail 42 are shown. Figure 6a The guide rail 42 is designed as a U-shaped slide rail in which a sliding block is accommodated as a running element 28. The reverse arrangement, in which a rail section as a running element 28 accommodates a guide rail 42, which is designed as a form-fitting rod, is also possible. Figure 6bA wheel-supported guide is shown in which the guide rail 42 and running element 28 are designed as a U-shaped running rail and as a roller element with running wheels or rollers. It is preferred that the running element 28 has the rollers 27, but the reverse design is also possible. Figure 6c A very simple embodiment is shown. Here, the guide rail 42 is shaped as a simple rod, which is enclosed by an eyelet on the filter module 10 and forms the running element 28.

[0032] The clearance between the running element 28 and the guide rail 42 can be adjusted depending on the desired function and application of the module arrangement. If, for example, deformations such as longitudinal expansion can occur due to thermal effects or similar, a clearance can compensate for these and prevent damage to the rails and running elements 28. If, on the other hand, force transmission between the guide rails 42 and the running elements 28 is desired, little to no clearance should be allowed. For the assembly of the filter modules 10, the guide rails 42 or the running elements 28 can then be heated so that the receiving element expands.

[0033] The arrangement of the filter modules 10 now works as follows: A large number of similarly designed filter modules 10 are provided, and the desired arrangement is decided upon. The design of the bearing support 40, as well as the number of guide rails 42 and the arrangement of the running elements 28 on the filter modules 10, then depends on this. The filter modules 10 are then brought to the bearing support 40 using an aid such as a crane truck, forklift, excavator, cable winches, or simply by the physical strength of the workers. The filter modules 10 are then inserted into the guide rails 42 with the running elements 28, depending on their size (it may be necessary to open the lock on the edge of the guide rail(s) 42 for this purpose). The filter modules 10 are then pushed together. Particularly with multiple bearing points, e.g., with multiple running elements 28, the inlet and outlet openings 20, 22 are already aligned with one another and can be easily pushed into one another.

[0034] To ensure that the assembled module arrangement remains securely and firmly together, a fixing device 45 is provided, with which the filter modules 10 are pressed together. This fixing device 45 can, for example, be designed as a threaded rod or a screw that interacts with corresponding threads in the filter modules 10 and / or in the bearing support 40 and thus exerts a force on the filter modules 10. Another possibility would be a fixing device 45 designed in the manner of a quick-release clamp, so that the two edge-side filter modules 10 are enclosed in a guide rail with a gripping element and then pressed together with the clamping mechanism of the quick-release clamp. Figure 7aA fixing device 45 is shown schematically outside the filter module 10. Here, four clamping elements, e.g., threaded rods, are shown for each header 18. However, the fixing does not have to be mechanical, but can also be electromagnetic, hydraulic, or pneumatic. Figure 7b An arrangement of the fixing device 45 in the fluid channels 14, 16 is shown. However, a fixing device 45 can also be located at another location on the main body 12 or the header 18. A combination of fixing device 45 inside the filter module 10 and outside the filter module 10 is also possible. List of reference symbols
