Description
Technical area
[0001] The present invention relates to an adapter for fastening a first accessory part to a handlebar of a means of transport formed from a stem and a handlebar held on the stem, comprising a U-shaped base body with a central leg and two lateral arms and a receptacle for the first accessory part arranged on the central leg. Background of the invention
[0002] It is known from the prior art to attach accessories to various locations on means of transport. For bicycles, for example, it is well known to attach bags to the side of a luggage rack, between a down tube and a top tube, or to the front of a handlebar; to attach a water bottle holder to the down tube or, for example, behind a saddle; or to attach a basket to the handlebar or on the luggage rack. It is also known to arrange a tracking device, based on GPS or Bluetooth connections, as an accessory on a means of transport in a hidden manner, for example, in a tube of a bicycle frame.
[0003] In particular, it is known to arrange accessories on the handlebars of the means of transport using an adapter. For this purpose, such adapters typically have a U-shaped base body with two lateral arms, with which they engage the mounting point of the stem on the handlebar and to which clamps are attached, which grip the handlebar to the left and right of the stem to secure the adapter. Furthermore, such adapters are usually supported against the stem to prevent weight-related twisting around the handlebar, for example, by means of wire cables anchored to the stem. Various accessories, such as bags, baskets, or the like, can then be attached to a receptacle of the adapter using standardized connecting means. The document DE202022103797U discloses a generic adapter.
[0004] The disadvantage of providing accessories is that each accessory requires a separate device, which is often difficult to install, the accessory is often attached to a location on the means of transport that is difficult to access, and the respective devices do not satisfactorily withstand loads during travel, such as vibrations on uneven ground, in the long term. Description of the invention
[0005] Based on this situation, it is an object of the present invention to enable a convenient attachment of several accessories to a means of transport.
[0006] The object of the invention is achieved by the features of independent claim 1. Advantageous embodiments are specified in the subclaims. To the extent technically feasible, the teachings of the subclaims can be combined arbitrarily with the teachings of the main and subclaims.
[0007] Advantages of the claimed aspects of the invention are explained below, and preferred modified embodiments of the aspects of the invention are described further below. Explanations, particularly regarding advantages and definitions of features, are essentially descriptive and preferred, but not limiting, examples. If an explanation is limiting, this will be expressly stated.
[0008] To the extent that elements are designated by numbering, for example, "first element," "second element," and "third element," this numbering is intended purely for differentiation in the designation and does not represent any interdependence of the elements or a mandatory sequence of the elements. This means, in particular, that, for example, a device or method does not have to have a "first element" in order to have a "second element." The device or method may also have a "first element" and a "third element" without necessarily having a "second element." Multiple units of an element of a single numbering may also be provided, for example, multiple "first elements."
[0009] According to the invention, the object is achieved by an adapter for attaching a first accessory to a handlebar of a means of transport formed from a stem and a handlebar held on the stem, comprising a U-shaped base body with a central leg and two lateral arms, a receptacle arranged on the central leg for the first accessory and a fastening body detachably connectable to the base body for attaching the adapter to the handlebar, wherein the lateral arms each form a clamp with the fastening body for gripping the handlebar and wherein the fastening body has a torque support for supporting the adapter on the stem, wherein the base body has a recess for receiving a locating device, wherein the recess is covered by the fastening body when the base body and fastening body are connected to one another, or the fastening body has a recess for receiving a locating device, wherein the recess is covered by the base body when the base body and fastening body are connected to one another.
[0010] Insofar as reference is made to a top side, a bottom side, a front direction and / or a rear direction or a specific side, this reference is determined from a usual driving position of the means of transport, in which it is standing upright on a surface. The bottom side then faces the ground, while the top side faces away from the ground. The front direction extends in a direction of travel of the means of transport, with the handlebar being attached to a front end of the stem in the direction of travel. The side directions are also determined from a viewing direction in the direction of travel or the front direction. It will be understood by a person skilled in the art to transfer these directions accordingly to other configurations of the means of transport, for example if the handlebar is arranged at a rear end of the stem in the direction of travel. In this respect, arrangements deviating from the above-mentioned understanding of the directions are implicitly included in the present description.
[0011] An adapter is generally understood to be a connecting device between the handlebar and an accessory. The adapter therefore has devices for attaching it to the handlebar and devices for holding the accessory, thus forming the device for holding the accessory on the means of transport or handlebar.
[0012] The lateral arms of the base body are intended in particular to encompass the mounting point of the handlebar stem on the stem, so that they form a clamp on the right side of the stem and a clamp on the left side of the stem with the fastening body. The clamps are in particular formed by the base body and the fastening body in such a way that the bodies each form partial shells, in particular half shells, which when assembled encompass the handlebar in the manner of a clamp. In the assembled state, the partial shells form a gap, in particular with respect to one another, for generating a clamping force by means of corresponding connecting means such as screws. The middle leg preferably extends between the lateral arms on the front side of the adapter and thus forms the receptacle for the accessory in front of the handlebar.Preferably, the dimensions of the base body are designed such that a console for controlling an electric motor of the means of transport, which console is also provided in the region of the mounting point of the handlebar on the stem, can be encompassed.
[0013] A locating device is a device for generating a locatable signal, enabling location by a corresponding receiving device, at least in the vicinity of the locating device. In particular, the locating device is a device for generating a Bluetooth or GPS signal.
[0014] The present disclosure now includes the teaching that the adapter, in addition to the receptacle for the first accessory, on which any accessory can be arranged, such as a bag or a basket, also forms a recess for a second accessory, namely a locating device. In this respect, the adapter advantageously creates the possibility of providing several accessories on the means of transport simultaneously with just one device - the adapter. According to the invention, the recess is arranged on the base body or fastening body in such a way that it is covered by the fastening body or the base body, so that the locating device is accommodated in a hidden manner on the adapter and in this respect fulfills the function of an anti-theft device. The position of the locating device orThe fact that a tracking device is arranged on the means of transport cannot be detected by a thief, so that it is not possible for him to switch off or remove the tracking device.
[0015] In a preferred embodiment of the adapter, the fastening body has at least one projection. When the base body and fastening body are connected to one another, the projection extends on a lateral arm beyond the clamp to the center leg and covers the recess formed on the lateral arm for receiving the locating device. This makes it possible to provide the concealed recess on the lateral arm in the area between the clamp and the center leg, concealed by the fastening body. In this area, the adapter advantageously offers the greatest possible space for the locating device, thus enabling the comfortable accommodation of a relatively large locating device.
[0016] Preferably, the moment support is designed as an arch formed integrally with the fastening body. Accordingly, the arch, like the fastening body, is made of a strong, rigid material, such as a plastic material, in particular a thermoplastic, and / or at least partially of a metallic material. This creates a particularly rigid moment support, by means of which a correspondingly particularly large moment can be supported. In particular, a long design of the lateral arms is then possible, so that the center leg projects relatively far relative to the handlebar, thus providing sufficient space for a console provided on the stem for controlling an electric motor of the means of transport.
[0017] In one embodiment of the aforementioned design, the torque support has a thread for receiving a spacer screw for spacing the torque support from the stem. The torque support or adapter is supported on the stem by means of the spacer screw. This allows for easy adjustment of the distance between the torque support and the stem, allowing the adapter to be easily adjusted in its angular position relative to the handlebar by a person using the vehicle.
[0018] Particularly preferably, the moment arm has a material reinforcement in the area around the thread, with the thread extending through the material reinforcement. Load peaks occur in the moment arm in the area around the thread. The material reinforcement makes it possible to absorb these load peaks without failure, even with long lateral arms and a large load from the first accessory part in the material. In this respect, the material reinforcement advantageously allows a particularly large moment to be absorbed by the adapter, allowing the center leg to project far and, in particular, providing sufficient space for a console provided on the stem for controlling an electric motor of the means of transport.
[0019] In a further embodiment, a first threaded hole or a first threaded pin for receiving a camera and / or a mobile device is arranged on the middle leg, in particular on an upper side of the middle leg. This advantageously creates a further possibility for receiving a third accessory without having to arrange further devices on the means of transport. The camera for the usually desired recording of the area in front of the means of transport or a mobile phone for easy operation and reading by the person using the means of transport is particularly advantageously positioned on the means of transport. A camera is, for example, an so-called action cam or a so-called dash cam. A mobile device is, for example, a mobile phone or a tablet. An accessory similar to the aforementioned accessories or, for example, a lighting device can also be arranged on the holder.
[0020] Particularly preferably, the first threaded hole or the first threaded pin has a 1 / 4" UNC thread. A 1 / 4" UNC thread is established as a standard for cameras and the like, so that the first threaded hole or the first threaded pin can be easily connected in this way to a variety of available cameras, tripods, mounts and the like.
[0021] In a further, particularly preferred embodiment, a second threaded bore or a second threaded pin for receiving a drinking bottle holder is arranged on an outer side of at least one lateral arm. This advantageously creates yet another possibility for receiving a fourth accessory without the need to arrange additional devices on the means of transport. In particular, a standardized bottle holder can be arranged on a second threaded bore, wherein this bottle holder or a drinking bottle held therein then extends vertically laterally next to the adapter and is thus protected against leakage and is arranged in an easily accessible manner in the area of the handlebar. The above-described relatively long design of the lateral arms advantageously creates sufficient space for a drinking bottle between the handlebar and the first accessory.
[0022] In a further embodiment, a locking device for locking the first accessory to the adapter is arranged on the center leg. The first accessory can then be easily attached and locked to the adapter, and just as easily released from the locking device and removed from the adapter.
[0023] Particularly preferably, the locking device extends vertically through the center leg, has a locking latch on the underside of the center leg, and forms an operating element for releasing the locking latch on the top of the center leg. The locking device is then particularly easy to operate, with the operating element on the top being particularly easily accessible. The locking latch preferably forms a rear grip for the first accessory part and is designed to be vertically displaceable.
[0024] In one refinement of the aforementioned embodiment, the locking device comprises a lock for locking the operating element, wherein the lock is particularly integrated into the operating element. In this way, the first accessory on the means of transport can be secured against unauthorized release from the locking position. By integrating the lock into the operating element, the lock is also easily accessible, eliminating the need for additional space on the center leg for the lock.
[0025] In a further embodiment, the receptacle for the accessory is divided into three parts in a transverse direction, with two outer projections and a central projection, wherein rear grips are formed on an upper side of the outer projections and on an underside of the central projection. This makes it possible for the first accessory to be fastened both to the rear grips in the front direction and also between the projections in lateral directions by abutting laterally against the projections. The first accessory is therefore secure and can be firmly fastened to the receptacle against vibrations during use of the means of transport. More preferably, the outer projections and the central projection have a transverse groove into which the first accessory engages for further positive locking between the first accessory and the adapter.
[0026] Particularly preferably, the rear grip on the underside of the central projection is formed by the locking catch. By releasing the locking catch, the rear grip on the underside of the central projection can then be released, so that the first accessory can be folded forward at the bottom and then pushed upward to release it from the rear grip on the top of the outer projections. In doing so, the first accessory also moves out of the engagement between the projections and is thus completely released from the adapter.
[0027] According to a second aspect of the invention, the object is further achieved by a handlebar assembly comprising a handlebar formed from a stem and a handlebar rod mounted on the stem, a previously described adapter according to the first aspect of the invention, and a first accessory part mounted on the adapter. The handlebar assembly accordingly achieves the advantages described above with respect to the adapter.
[0028] Preferably, in the handlebar arrangement, the receptacle for the accessory part is divided into three parts in a transverse direction, with two outer projections and a central projection, wherein rear grips are formed on an upper side of the outer projections and on an underside of the central projection, and wherein the first accessory part has a bracket for engaging behind the rear grips and for reaching through gaps between the outer projections and the central projection. The bracket therefore only runs above or to the side of the projections and not in front of the projections, so that the first accessory part itself can bear against the projections without being spaced from the projections by a fastening device. In this way, the moment exerted by the first accessory part on the adapter with respect to the rotation axis of the clamps is reduced. Short description of the drawings
[0029] The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to preferred embodiments and the accompanying drawings. The term "figure" is abbreviated to "Fig."

[0032] Figure 1 shows an exploded view of an adapter 1 for fastening a first accessory part (not shown) to a handlebar (also not shown), comprising a base body 2 and a fastening body 3. The base body 2 is also in Figure 2shown in a further perspective. The base body 2 is U-shaped overall with a center leg 2.1, a first lateral arm 2.2, and a second lateral arm 2.3, wherein the center leg 2.1 extends between and connects the lateral arms 2.2, 2.3. The base body 2 encloses a space 4, which is preferably dimensioned so large that the base body 2 encompasses a console arranged on the handlebar in the region of the stem for controlling an electric motor of a means of transport. The fastening body 3 is formed from a moment support 3.1 designed as an arch and side pieces 3.2, 3.3 corresponding to the lateral arms 2.2, 2.3.
[0033] The adapter 1 defines several spatial directions, namely an upper direction O, a lower direction U, a front direction V, and a rear direction H. At the ends of the lateral arms 2.2, 2.3 in the rear direction, half-shells 5.1, 5.2 are formed on the base body 2. These half-shells, together with half-shells 6.1, 6.2 arranged on the side pieces 3.2, 3.3 of the fastening body 3, form clamps 7.1, 7.2 for holding the adapter 1 on a handlebar (not shown). The clamps 7.1, 7.2 are each provided, in particular, for fastening to the handlebar on one side of the stem. To form the clamps 7.1, 7.2, the base body 2 and the fastening body 3 are placed one after the other on the handlebar from above and below, respectively, and then connected to one another by means of connecting means 8 designed as screws. The connecting means 8 with gaps (not shown in detail) formed on the clamps 7.1, 7.2 generate a clamping force on the handlebar. In the half shells 5.1, 5.2, 6.1, 6.2, there are also adhesive sleeves 9 arranged to improve the frictional connection between the clamps 7.1, 7.2 and the handlebar.
[0034] On the front side of the middle leg 2.1 there is a receptacle 10 for a first accessory part (not shown), which Figure 2is shown in more detail. The receptacle 10 is divided into three parts in a transverse direction Q, with two outer projections 10.1, 10.2 and a central projection 10.3. Gaps 11.1, 11.2 are formed between the outer projections 10.1, 10.2 and the central projection 10.3. Furthermore, rear grips 12.1, 12.2 are formed on the upper side of the outer projections 10.1, 10.2, with a rear grip 12.3 formed on the lower side of the central projection 10.3 by a locking catch 13.1. The projections 10.1, 10.2, 10.3 also have a transverse groove 14. The first accessory can then engage behind the rear grips 12.1, 12.2, 12.3 and simultaneously engage in the gaps 12.1, 12.2 for laterally holding the first accessory. A corresponding first accessory 15 arranged on the adapter 1 is schematically shown as a bracket in Figure 6The bracket extends only above and to the side of the projections 10.1, 10.2, 10.3 and not in front of them, so that the first accessory part 15 is designed to be particularly close to the adapter 1. Alternatively, a fastening means of the first accessory part 15 can also extend in front of the adapter 1 in a manner not shown and engage in the transverse groove 14 for further positive locking. In both cases, the first accessory part 15 is securely held on the receptacle 10 in all spatial directions.
[0035] To lock the first accessory part 15, the locking latch 13.1 forms a locking device 13 with an operating element 13.2, which passes through the middle leg 2.1 in the vertical direction, as in Figure 4is shown in more detail. By pressing the operating element 13.2, the locking latch 13.1 is moved downward and the rear handle 12.3 is released. The locking device 13 also has a lock 13.3 integrated into the operating element 13.2 for locking the locking device 13.
[0036] As in the Figure 1, 3 and 4 As shown, the side pieces 3.2, 3.3 of the fastening body 3 have projections 16.1, 16.2, which extend forward from the clamps 7.1, 7.2 and interact with the undersides of the lateral arms 2.2, 2.3 of the base body 2. On the lateral arm 2.2, a recess 17 is arranged for receiving a locating device 18, which in the sectional view of the Figure 4with a locating device 18 arranged therein. Corresponding shapes 19 are provided in the recess 17 and on the projection 16.1 corresponding to the lateral arm 2.2, which allow for the positively fitting reception of certain locating devices 18. When the adapter 1 is mounted, the recess 17 is covered by the projection 16.1 and is therefore not visible from the outside.
[0037] On the upper side of the middle leg 2.1, as shown in the Figure 1 and 5 As shown, a first threaded bore 20 is arranged for receiving a camera and / or a mobile terminal. In this respect, a camera or a terminal can be arranged on the adapter 1 as a third accessory, in addition to the first accessory and the locating device 18.
[0038] Furthermore, as in Figure 5As shown, a second threaded hole 21 for receiving a drinking bottle holder is arranged on an outer side of the lateral arm 2.2. Thus, a drinking bottle can be arranged on the adapter 1 as a fourth accessory, in addition to the first accessory, the locating device 18, and the third accessory.
[0039] As in the Figure 1 and 4As shown in more detail, the moment support 3.1, which is designed as an arch, has a thread 22 with a spacer screw 23 accommodated therein for spacing the moment support 3.1 from a stem (not shown). The moment support 3.1 is supported against the stem by the spacer screw 23 and its distance from the stem can be adjusted by means of the spacer screw 23 in order to adjust the angular position of the adapter 1 on the handlebar. A material reinforcement 24 is provided on the moment support 3.1 for the thread 22, which extends both above and below the moment support 3.1 and through which the thread 22 extends completely. Due to the material reinforcement 24, load peaks occurring on the thread 22 can be absorbed without material failure, even in the case of large moments in the moment support 3.1, so that the adapter 1 can be used with a wide cantilever of the middle leg 2.1 can be formed relative to the handlebar and the space 4 can be formed sufficiently large to encompass a console for controlling an electric motor of the means of transport.
