Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a partition wall installation with a plate-shaped infill element that is fixed on at least one side to a holding device. The holding device, together with a web of a partition wall profile, surrounds a lateral edge of the infill element on one side, and on the opposite side, the edge of the infill element is surrounded by a pressure bar fixed to a holder. A guide element is arranged on an end face of the infill element and is fixed to the partition wall profile. To adjust the distance between the web of the partition wall profile and the pressure bar, the holder can be positioned at different positions relative to the guide element. Both the holder and the guide element each have a guide surface oriented perpendicular to the plane of the infill element. The invention also relates to a method for assembling a partition wall installation.

[0002] US Patent 4,277,920 discloses a partition wall system for buildings in which an infill panel is mounted between a floor and a ceiling. Fixing devices are attached to both the floor and the ceiling, and these are fixed at predetermined thicknesses. Especially when the infill panels are made of glass, they can be manufactured in different thicknesses, depending on whether insulating glass units, laminated glass units, tempered safety glass, or other infill elements for thermal and acoustic insulation are used.

[0003] DE 21 59 520 discloses a glazing unit with a metal frame that surrounds an edge of the glazing panes with a groove. The frame incorporates an insert for clamping the panes with a wedge. This allows for slight thickness compensation within the groove of the metal frame. If the difference in thickness exceeds a certain range, different frame profiles must be used.

[0004] DE 10 2016 101 464 A1 discloses a glazing profile for fixed glass elements, comprising a receiving profile and a cover profile. A locking element serves to fix the cover profile and is secured to the receiving profile by a screw.

[0005] It is therefore an object of the present invention to create a partition wall installation which allows flexible adaptation to the thickness of a filling element using simple means and to provide a method for assembling a partition wall installation which effectively allows thickness adjustment to different thickness filling elements.

[0006] This problem is solved by a partition wall installation having the features of claim 1 and a method having the features of claim 14.

[0007] In the partition wall installation according to the invention, a plate-shaped infill element is fixed to a holding device on at least one side. The holding device comprises a partition wall profile with a web that surrounds a lateral edge of the infill element on one side and, on the opposite side, holds the edge of the infill element by means of a pressure bar fixed to a holder. A guide element is arranged on one end face of the infill element and is fixed to the partition wall profile. To adjust the distance between the web of the partition wall profile and the pressure bar, the holder can be positioned at different locations relative to the guide element, preferably by sliding. This allows the distance to be adjusted by moving the holder relative to the guide element, thus enabling the use of infill elements of varying thicknesses. The partition wall installation can therefore be used flexibly. The holder can be pivotable, pluggable, slidable, or otherwise positioned relative to the guide element. For example, if the holder is positioned by plugging it in, a hole pattern can be provided on the holder or guide element into which at least one pin can be inserted. The correct positioning can optionally also be secured by gluing, screwing, nailing, pinning, or wedging.

[0008] According to the invention, a guide surface oriented at an angle to the plane of the infill element is provided on both the holder and the guide element. The guide surface can be continuous along the longitudinal direction of the partition profile or provided in individual sections, for example, on webs or individual projections. At least one guide surface can be continuous, thus enabling stepless adjustment. The inclination of the guide surface to the plane of the infill element is in a range of 2° to 20°, particularly 5° to 15°, in order to allow the distance between the holder and the web of the partition profile to be changed accordingly by a sliding movement.

[0009] The panel-shaped infill elements can have a thickness of between 8 mm and 24 mm for interior use in a building and between 16 mm and 60 mm for exterior walls, and are held in the mounting bracket. The bracket's adjustment range allows for a width adjustment of at least 16 mm, for example, between 20 mm and 50 mm. This adjustment range can optionally be increased by replacing the guide element. The panel-shaped infill elements can be made of glass, for example, in particular insulating glass units or laminated safety glass, to create a transparent appearance. Alternatively, other infill elements can be used for thermal and acoustic insulation. The partition wall installation is preferably installed in an interior space to divide the room.Partition wall installations can also be used on the exterior walls of a building, for example, in fixed glazing within the building envelope. Different thicknesses of infill elements are possible here, for example, up to 60 mm.

[0010] For stable attachment of the holder to the guide element, the holder has a hook that engages a ridge on the guide element. The hook and the ridge can be arranged along a guide surface inclined to the plane of the infill element, so that guidance is provided by the hook and the ridge. Optionally, a hook can also be formed on the guide element and a corresponding ridge on the holder.

[0011] For effective mounting, a locking element is preferably provided to fix the position of the holder on the guide element. This allows the holder's position on the guide element to be adjusted by sliding it when multiple holders are used, thus securing the holder in the desired position against displacement and / or removal. The locking element can be, for example, a screw or a clamping element. Furthermore, a marking can be provided to indicate the distance between the web of the separating profile and the pressure bar. This marking can be located on the guide element, the holder, or another component.

[0012] For stable fixing of the filling element, a seal is preferably fixed to the pressure strip and the web of the partition profile, with the filling element being held clamped between the two seals.

[0013] The holding device for the partition wall installation preferably includes a support for the infill element between the guide element and its end face. This support can be made of plastic, for example, so that a glass infill element can rest on the support without risk of damage. The support can engage with a fixing lug in a groove on a web of the partition wall profile, ensuring precise positioning. Furthermore, the support can extend over the guide element with foot elements, thus preventing the support from shifting longitudinally along the partition wall profile. Optionally, different supports can be used on the holding device for infill elements of varying thicknesses.

[0014] The partition profile is preferably L-shaped in cross-section. One leg can then be fixed to a floor or ceiling, for example using screw connections, while another leg projects vertically from the floor or ceiling to surround one edge of the infill element. Optionally, such L-shaped partition profiles can also be provided with a retaining device on the vertical sides of the infill element, although fixing only at the top and bottom may suffice. The partition profile can be a single piece, solid, or a single piece with outer and inner profiles and an intermediate thermal and / or acoustic insulation layer.

[0015] During partition wall installation, several retaining devices can be arranged on one side of the infill panel, distributed across that side. Optionally, at least one retaining device can also be provided on each side of the infill panel to ensure its stable fixation.

[0016] In the inventive method for assembling a partition wall installation, particularly as described above, a partition wall profile is first arranged and fixed on a substrate or support structure; for example, one leg of an L-shaped partition wall profile is screwed to a substrate. A guide element is then arranged on the partition wall profile, and a support is positioned on or attached to the guide element. A holder is positioned on the guide element at a predetermined distance from a web of the partition wall profile, particularly an upwardly projecting web, so that a groove-shaped recess is formed. The holder can be positioned at different positions relative to the guide element to change the distance to the web.Next, an end face of an infill panel is placed onto the support between the web and the holder, with the infill panel preferably positioned with some play between the holder and the web. A pressure bar is then attached to the holder to clamp the infill panel between the web and the pressure bar. The different positioning options allow infill panels with thicknesses between 10 mm and 50 mm to be held in the partition wall installation. Even when installing infill panels of varying thicknesses, no additional components are required; the partition wall installation can be flexibly adapted to the respective thickness.

[0017] The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to several exemplary embodiments and the accompanying drawings. These show: Figure 1 shows a view of a partition wall installation according to the invention; Figure 2 shows a perspective view of the partition wall installation. Figure 1 without pressure bar; Figure 3 an exploded view of the partition installation in the area of a holding device; Figure 4 a sectional view through a holding device in the mounted position; Figure 5 a perspective view of the holding device of Figure 4 without infill element; Figures 6A and 6B two views of the adjustment mechanism of the holder and the guide element; Figures 7A to 7F several views during the assembly of a holding device; Figures 8A and 8B two views of a modified holding device, and Figures 9A and 9B two views of another holding device for thick infill elements.

[0018] A partition wall installation 1 comprises a plate-shaped infill element 2, which is held by at least one lower retaining device 3. The retaining device 3 comprises a partition wall profile 4 having a leg 41 that is fixed to a base 43 by one or more screws 42. A web 40 projects upwards from the horizontal leg 41 and extends beyond an edge of the infill element 2. A seal 45 is fixed to the web 40 and rests against one side of the infill element 2.

[0019] On the opposite side of the filling element 2, a pressure bar 5 is arranged at the lower edge. This pressure bar has an L-shaped cross-section and rests on the base 43 with a vertical leg 50. A horizontal leg 51 carries a seal 52 that rests against the filling element 2. The pressure bar 5 is fixed to a holder 6, which is held on a guide element 8.

[0020] Furthermore, a support 7 is provided on the lower retaining device 3, which forms a bearing surface for a lower end face of the filling element 2. This allows the weight loads of the filling element 2 to be transferred to the support 7, which is supported on the leg 41.

[0021] The partition wall installation 1 also includes at least one retaining device 3' on the top of the infill element 2, which is constructed identically to the retaining device 3, except for the support 7, which was omitted in the retaining device 3'.

[0022] In Figure 2 The partition wall installation 1 is shown, which has several retaining devices 3' on the top of the infill element 2 and several retaining devices 3 on the underside. The end faces of the infill element 2, which extend in a vertical direction, are freely arranged. Optionally, one or more retaining devices 3' can also be provided on these faces.

[0023] In Figure 3A holding device 3 is shown in detail. The holding device 3 comprises a guide element 8, which is fixed to the partition profile 4. For this purpose, the guide element 8 is provided with a web 80 that engages behind a T-shaped web 44 on the upwardly projecting web 40 of the partition profile 4. The guide element 8 further comprises a web 81, which is oriented at an angle to the plane of the infill element 2, for example, at an angle between 2° and 20° to the longitudinal direction of the partition profile 4. A guide surface is formed on the web 81, which engages with another guide surface on the holder 6, so that by moving the holder 6 in the longitudinal direction of the partition profile, the distance between the pressure bar 5 held on the holder 6 and the web 40 of the partition profile 4 can be changed. When the holder 6 is positioned in the desired position, it can be secured by a locking element 9 in the form of a setscrew or other fastening element to prevent further displacement.

[0024] The holding device 3 further comprises the support 7, which is supported by foot elements 72 and has a hook-shaped fixing lug 70 that engages behind the T-shaped web 44 on the partition profile. A marking 10 is also provided on one upper side of the support 7, so that the installer can see the distance between the pressure bar 5 and the web 40, enabling all holding devices 3 to be adjusted to the desired position before the infill element 2 is installed.

[0025] In Figure 4The holding device 3 is shown in its assembled position. It can be seen that the support 7 is supported on the lower leg 41 of the partition profile 4 via foot elements 72. Furthermore, the support 7 is held on the upwardly projecting web 40 of the partition profile 4 via the fixing lug 70. The plate-shaped infill element 2 is clamped between the two seals 45 and 52 and rests with one lower end face on a top surface of the support 7.

[0026] The pressure bar 5 is fixed to the holder 6, for which purpose a hook 53 is formed on the leg 50 of the pressure bar 5, which engages in a groove 60 on the holder 6. Furthermore, a projection is formed on the upper leg 51 of the pressure bar 5, which engages behind a retaining section 61 on the holder 6 and thus allows the pressure bar 5 to be clamped against the filling element 2.

[0027] In Figure 5The holding device 3 is shown without the infill element 2, and part of the pressure bar 5 has been cut away. It can be seen that the guide element 8, in its assembled position, rests on the lower leg 41 of the partition profile, and the web 81 is inclined to the longitudinal direction of the partition profile 4. The holder 6 is slidable on this inclined web 81 to accommodate different infill elements 2 on the holding device 3. The holder 6 is supported on a wedge-shaped support 82 of the guide element. The support 7 has foot elements 72 that rest directly on the leg 41 and, in its assembled position, prevent the guide element 8 from shifting. The support 7 overlaps the guide element 8 on both sides with its foot elements 72.

[0028] In the Figures 6A and 6BThe holder 6 is shown in its position on the guide element 8 in the area of marking 10. It can be seen that a hook 62 is formed on the holder 6, which is guided on the upwardly projecting web 81. A threaded opening is formed in the holder 6, into which the locking element 9, in the form of a setscrew, is screwed to fix the holder 6 to the web 81. The hook 62 engages behind the web 81 and prevents the holder 6 from being pushed away from the web 81. At the same time, it prevents the holder 6 from being lifted upwards.

[0029] In the Figures 7A to 7F The assembly on a holding device 3 is shown in detail. In a first step, the guide element 8 is inserted into the partition profile 4, which is fixed to the base 43, with the web 80 engaging behind the T-shaped web 44 on the web 40. The support 7 is then mounted over the guide element 8, as shown in Figure 7BAs shown, a fixing lug 70 engages in a groove on the T-shaped lug 44. A lower end face of the filling element 2 is now placed on a flat upper surface 71 of the carrier 7, which is preferably made of plastic, as shown in Figure 7C shown.

[0030] Depending on the thickness of the filling element 2, the holder 6 is pre-assembled, being moved along the web 81 until a contact surface on the holder 6 is adjacent to or spaced apart from the filling element 2, for example, approximately 1 mm away, or in contact with it. The position of the holder 6 is fixed by the locking element 9. The holder 6 is preferably made of plastic, so that contact between the filling element 2 and metallic components is prevented during assembly and the edge of the filling element 2 is positioned with clearance between the holder 6 and the seal 45.

[0031] The pressure bar 5 is then mounted on the holder 6, with the hook 53 engaging in the groove 60 on the holder 6 and the retaining section 61 being engaged by a projection on the upper leg 51. Finally, the seal 52 can be mounted on the leg 51 to clamp the filling element 2 between the seals 45 and 52. The sequence of the assembly steps can also be partially modified to mount the holding device.

[0032] In the Figures 8A and 8BA modified holding device is shown, designed as in the previous embodiment, except for the wider design of a support 7' and the guide element 8'. This allows a wider filling element 2' to be mounted between the pressure bar 5 and the partition profile 4. Otherwise, the holding device corresponds to the previous embodiment, except for the wider contact surface on the support 7'. The guide element 8' has an upwardly projecting web 81, which is engaged by a hook of the holder 6, to allow adjustment of the distance between the pressure bar 5 and the web 40 of the partition profile 4.

[0033] In the Figures 9A and 9BAnother embodiment of a holding device is shown, in which an even thicker filling element 2" is used and the support 7" has a greater width than the other supports 7 and 7'. Furthermore, the guide element 8" is wider but also has an upwardly projecting web 81 on which the hook 62 of the holder 6 is guided in order to adjust the distance of the pressure bar 5 from the web 40. By exchanging the support 7, 7' and 7" as well as the guide element 8, 8' and 8" the thickness can be adjusted to accommodate filling elements 2, 2' and 2" of different thicknesses over a wide range.
