A mounting bracket system comprising an ECU bracket and a terminal bracket, secured with snap-on mechanisms and fasteners, which allows the CMM and BFT to be sandwiched and aligned, providing vibration resistance and protection, while facilitating assembly and integration with the vehicle's support block.
Ensures secure, efficient assembly of CMM and BFT components with integrated protection against vibrations and water damage, enhancing assembly cohesion and durability during production.
Description
[0001] The invention relates to the field of front-end assemblies for electric traction battery-powered motor vehicles, specifically in the area where the traction battery is mounted. More precisely, the invention concerns the design of a mounting bracket system for a CMM (Computer Multifunction Engine Control) and a battery connection terminal, particularly of the BFT (Battery Fuse Terminal) type, in a complex environment.
[0002] In this area, there is a growing need to fix the engine multifunction control unit (CMM) in a lateral area of the front block of the vehicle, in front of a 12V ALD battery (atomic thin film deposition or " atomic layer deposition (in English).
[0003] This type of configuration involves a specific architecture allowing the battery connection terminal (BFT terminal) to be fixed in the front block.
[0004] In reference to standard assembly techniques, there is also a need to mount the CMM computer on a computer support in preparation to facilitate assembly without having to remove the computer support from a terminal support.
[0005] The invention aims to propose a new CMM calculator and BFT terminal mounting configuration with specific mounting brackets.
[0006] Furthermore, the state of the art is known from document CN206719136U.
[0007] To achieve this objective, the invention proposes an assembly for a motor vehicle comprising an engine control unit, a battery connection terminal, and a mounting system for the engine control unit and the battery connection terminal, this mounting system comprising an ECU bracket configured to be fixed to a motor vehicle support block, and to receive the engine ECU so as to fix the engine ECU to the ECU bracket; and a terminal bracket configured to be fixed to the ECU bracket by holding the engine ECU between the ECU bracket and the terminal bracket, the terminal bracket being further configured to receive the battery connection terminal so as to fix the battery connection terminal to the terminal bracket.
[0008] Advantageously, a CMM and BFT terminal support system, particularly one made of plastic, allows the CMM to be secured during preparation while ensuring that the CMM remains intact during assembly on the production line. The support allows the CMM and terminal to be sandwiched onto a battery holder using a single fastener. In a variant, it also provides guidance for securing the terminal holder while ensuring vibration resistance. Furthermore, the support accommodates installation constraints.
[0009] In one variant, the support block includes a cooperation hole configured to engage with a protrusion on the ECU bracket, thus wedging the ECU bracket onto the support block. This facilitates assembly by aligning these two support structures with each other.
[0010] In one variant, the protrusion of the computer support includes a water drainage hole. This helps protect the assembly from water damage.
[0011] In one variant, the ECU bracket includes a guide relief, and the terminal bracket includes a guide hole configured to cooperate with the guide relief to guide the mounting of the terminal bracket onto the ECU bracket. This facilitates assembly by guiding the connection of the support structures.
[0012] In one variant, the computer support includes a snap-on blade, and the terminal support includes a first snap-on hole configured to cooperate with the snap-on blade to snap the terminal support to the computer support. This improves the cohesion of the support structures with each other.
[0013] By " encliquetage ou clippage » understood to be a fixing mechanism involving elastic deformation of at least one sliding structure, and the locking of two cooperating structures.
[0014] In one variant, the terminal bracket includes a snap-on tab, and the computer bracket includes a second snap-on hole configured to cooperate with the snap-on tab to snap the terminal bracket to the computer bracket. This further improves the cohesion of the support structures with each other.
[0015] In one variant, the terminal bracket includes a mounting hole, and the ECU bracket includes a mounting notch to be positioned opposite the mounting hole. The hole and notch are configured to allow passage through a mounting structure to secure the ECU bracket and terminal bracket to the support block. This allows the support structures to be securely fastened together.
[0016] In one variant, the fastening system includes at least one clip protection structure for the snap-on tab. This protects the male snap-on structures during transport of the corresponding parts.
[0017] In one variant, the fastening system includes at least one reinforcing wall around a fastening structure. This protects the corresponding fastening structure to prevent the installation of a crocodile clip.
[0018] The invention also relates to a motor vehicle comprising a fastening system according to the invention.
[0019] Another object of the invention relates to a method for mounting an engine control unit and a battery connection terminal in a motor vehicle, comprising the following steps fix the engine control unit onto a control unit bracket and a terminal bracket onto the control unit bracket, holding the engine control unit between the control unit bracket and the terminal bracket; fix the assembly onto a motor vehicle support block; then fix the battery connection terminal onto the terminal bracket.
[0020] The invention will be further detailed by describing non-limiting embodiments, and based on the accompanying figures illustrating variants of the invention, in which: - - [ Fig.1 ] schematically illustrates a spatial view of an engine control unit support of a mounting system according to a preferred embodiment; [ Fig.2 ] schematically illustrates a three-dimensional view of a terminal support for the mounting system according to the preferred embodiment; [ Fig.3 ] schematically illustrates a view in space of the supports of the figures 1 And 2 assembled with an engine control unit; [ Fig.4 ] schematically illustrates a spatial view of a mounting of the supports and calculator of the figure 3 on a motor vehicle mounting block, as well as mounting a battery connection terminal on the computer; [ Fig.5 ] schematically illustrates a spatial view of an assembly of a computer support protrusion on a support block cooperation hole; [ Fig.6 ] schematically illustrates a three-dimensional view of the underside of the terminal block assembly on the computer bracket; [ Fig.7 ] schematically illustrates a spatial view of the snap-on and guide means for mounting the terminal bracket onto the computer bracket; and [ Fig.8 ] schematically illustrates a view in space of protective structures of male snap-fit means of the terminal support.
