Description

[0001] The invention relates to a building locking device comprising a first frame and a second frame mounted displaceably relative to the first frame. The first frame and the second frame are coupled to one another via a friction brake that exerts a braking force opposing a relative displacement of the two frames. The friction brake is arranged in a groove formed in one of the frames and delimited by opposing groove edges, so that it can be displaced in the axial direction relative to a longitudinal center axis of the groove. The invention further relates to a method for assembling a building locking device.

[0002] The prior art includes, for example, the document WO 2018 / 024346 A1. This document describes a window, a door, or the like, comprising a fixed frame, a sash movable relative to the fixed frame, and a stay mechanism arranged between the fixed frame and the sash. A pivot bearing on the fixed frame side and / or a sash-side pivot bearing of a stay mechanism arm of the stay mechanism is movably guided by means of a guide piece along a guide groove on the fixed frame side or along a guide groove on the sash side. A braking element is held on the guide piece by means of a component connection. When installed on the guide groove, the braking element is accommodated in a receptacle of the guide piece that opens towards a groove base of the guide groove. The braking element can be adjusted relative to the guide piece with a movement perpendicular to the base of the guide groove and can thus be clamped between the guide piece and the base of the groove. US 2020 / 071976 A1 also discloses an example of a building locking device.

[0003] The object of the invention is to propose a building locking device which has advantages over known building locking devices, in particular ensuring simple assembly of the friction brake even in the case of an unfavourable arrangement or orientation of the building locking device.

[0004] This is achieved with a building locking device having the features of claim 1. It is provided that the friction brake has braking elements which can be introduced separately from one another into the groove through an opening of the groove defined by the groove edges and, after assembly to one another, are held in the groove in a form-fitting manner by engaging behind the groove edges on opposite sides and are in sliding contact with the frame.

[0005] Advantageous embodiments with expedient further developments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims.

[0006] The building locking device is designed, for example, as a window, door, or the like. It has a first frame and a second frame, the first frame preferably being a fixed frame and the second frame preferably being a casement frame. The two frames are displaceable relative to one another. For this purpose, the second frame is preferably mounted so as to be rotatable about at least one axis of rotation, preferably about several axes of rotation, with respect to the first frame. Particularly preferably, the second frame is mounted or rotatably mounted on the first frame. The casement frame of the building locking device preferably has or supports glazing, for example single glazing or multiple glazing.

[0007] The frame of the building closure device is preferably intended and designed for stationary arrangement relative to a building, in particular for stationary arrangement in a recess of a building envelope of the building. The sash frame, on the other hand, is displaceable or rotatably mounted in such a way that it can be arranged relative to the frame both in a closed position and in at least one open position. In the closed position, the sash frame at least partially, preferably completely, closes a recess delimited by the frame. In the open position, however, the sash frame at least partially exposes the recess. For example, in the closed position, a sash frame plane defined by the sash frame lies in a frame plane defined by the sash frame or parallel to this.

[0008] If the building locking device is intended and designed solely for turn-opening or tilt-opening, there is only a single axis of rotation around which the sash is rotatably mounted relative to the outer frame by means of a pivot bearing. If the building locking device is designed such that both turn-opening and tilt-opening are possible, the sash is preferably rotatably mounted relative to the outer frame about several different axes of rotation, namely about at least or exactly two axes of rotation, by means of the pivot bearing. The axes of rotation are preferably angled relative to one another or are skewed relative to one another. Particularly preferably, the several axes of rotation enclose an angle with one another that is approximately or exactly 90°. A building locking device designed for turn-opening and tilt-opening can be referred to as a turn-tilt building locking device. If the building locking device is in the form of a window, it can be referred to as a tilt and turn window.

[0009] Both the frame and the sash consist of several beams that are attached to one another. Preferably, there are at least four beams each, whereby, for example, two of the beams can be arranged parallel to each other so that together they form a rectangle. However, other beam arrangements are also possible in principle. The beams of the frame are also called frame beams, and the beams of the sash are also called sash beams.

[0010] In order to prevent uncontrolled displacement of the two frames against each other and / or to fix the two frames in a defined position relative to each other, the building locking device is equipped with a friction brake. The two frames are coupled to each other by means of the friction brake. This means that the friction brake is coupled to the first frame on the one hand and to the second frame on the other hand, in particular directly or only indirectly. For example, the friction brake is connected directly to one of the frames and only indirectly to another of the frames. This means that the friction brake is connected to both frames, in particular mechanically connected. However, it is not necessarily directly connected to both frames, so that the coupling of the frames is not achieved solely by means of the friction brake.Rather, the friction brake is preferably part of a coupling device which, on the one hand, acts directly on the first frame and, on the other hand, directly on the second frame.

[0011] For example, the friction brake rests slidingly on one of the frames and is connected to the other of the frames via a projection arm. In this case, the friction brake and the projection arm preferably represent the aforementioned coupling device or at least form it. The projection arm is hinged on the one hand to the friction brake and on the other hand to the corresponding frame, preferably directly in each case. The friction brake is coupled to the two frames in such a way that it counteracts the relative displacement of the two frames. If the relative displacement of the two frames occurs, the friction brake generates the braking force that opposes the displacement. The braking force is caused by friction, namely by friction of the friction brake on the frame on which it is arranged.

[0012] The friction brake is arranged in the groove formed in one of the frames. However, it is particularly preferred if each of the frames has a corresponding groove and the friction brake is arranged in the groove of one of the frames. The groove is designed as a T-slot in one of the frame members. Accordingly, the groove has a cavity which merges into a mouth opening of the groove delimited by spaced-apart groove edges and via this opening opens in particular into an external environment of the building locking device or into a rebate air space of the building locking device present between the frames when the building locking device is closed. The groove extends in the direction of a longitudinal central axis of the member of the frame in which it is formed.Preferably, the groove extends in this direction over a large part of the longitudinal extent of the beam in this direction, in particular over at least 80%, at least 90%, or over the entire longitudinal extent of the beam. The groove has a consistently uniform cross-section in the longitudinal direction.

[0013] The mouth opening of the groove lies entirely in a mouth opening plane which runs parallel to the longitudinal central axis of the spar and incorporates the groove edges. A vertical axis of the spar is perpendicular to the mouth opening plane and the longitudinal central axis. A transverse axis of the groove is also perpendicular to the longitudinal central axis and perpendicular to the vertical axis, so that the longitudinal central axis, the vertical axis and the transverse axis span a Cartesian coordinate system. In the direction of the transverse axis, the cavity of the groove has certain dimensions which can also be referred to as the groove width. The mouth opening of the groove has dimensions in the direction of the transverse axis which are referred to as the mouth opening width of the groove. The mouth opening width corresponds to the distance between the groove edges which border the mouth opening on both sides in the direction of the transverse axis. The mouth opening width is smaller than the groove width, so the groove is tapered in the area of the mouth opening and the underdevelopment of the groove edges. A direction running along the longitudinal center axis is also referred to as the axial direction, a direction running along the vertical axis is referred to as the vertical direction, and a direction running along the transverse axis is referred to as the lateral direction.

[0014] The frame design described above enables a reliable, form-fitting attachment of the friction brake in the groove. For this purpose, the friction brake comprises the braking elements, which are inserted separately through the opening into the groove and then arranged or fastened together during assembly.

[0015] After the brake elements are assembled, they engage behind the groove edges on opposite sides, so that the friction brake is held positively in the groove along the vertical axis and cannot escape through the muzzle opening. In the longitudinal direction of the groove, however, the friction brake can be freely moved against the braking force it exerts.

[0016] Such a design of the building locking device, in particular the use of such a friction brake, is particularly advantageous when the friction brake is to be arranged on the frame. In this case, the groove into which the friction brake must be inserted is closed off at the ends in the axial direction on opposite sides, namely by the additional bars attached to the bar having the groove. In other words, two of the bars of the frame close off the groove of at least one additional bar of the frame, in particular of two additional bars of the frame, so that the grooves present in the bars of the frame are interrupted or closed off on the inside in the axial direction on opposite sides.Consequently, it is not possible to insert the friction brake into the groove in the axial direction, but it is necessary to insert the friction brake into the groove through the muzzle opening.

[0017] The arrangement of the friction brake on the frame is particularly useful if the building locking device is intended and designed as an outward-opening building locking device. This refers to a building locking device in which the building locking device opens in the direction away from an interior space delimited by the building locking device, i.e., towards the outside. In this case, the arrangement of the friction brake on the frame enables simple installation and / or adjustment of the friction brake, so that the person performing the installation does not have to bend outwards through the building locking device or even have to perform the installation or adjustment from the outside.

[0018] To facilitate the insertion of the friction brake into the groove through the muzzle opening, the friction brake's brake elements are initially positioned separately from one another. The brake elements are designed so that they can be easily inserted individually through the muzzle opening into the groove and removed again. Only after the brake elements are assembled together do they engage behind the groove edges on opposite sides of the groove, ensuring a positive fit of the friction brake. As long as the brake elements are assembled or fastened together, the friction brake is reliably held in the groove and cannot escape.

[0019] A further development of the invention provides that a first of the braking elements is stepped and for this purpose has a first braking wing engaging behind a first of the groove edges and a guide element that is offset vertically relative to the first braking wing with respect to the longitudinal central axis. The stepped design of the first braking element is to be understood as meaning that the braking wing and the guide element are located in different planes. Preferably, the braking wing and the guide element are offset parallel to one another, in particular they adjoin one another directly in the vertical direction. For example, an underside of the guide element facing the first braking wing is aligned with an upper side of the first braking wing facing the guide element.

[0020] The first braking element is correspondingly offset or has an offset, through which the offset between the first braking wing and the guide element is realized. Such a configuration enables simple insertion of the first braking element into the groove, namely by hooking or pushing the first braking wing under the first groove edge and then inserting the guide element into the groove or into the mouth opening. This ensures simple assembly of the building locking device. The first braking wing and the guide element are preferably designed as a single piece and from the same material. Particularly preferably, the first braking element, comprising the first braking wing and the guide element, is in the form of a sheet metal part, preferably as a stamped and bent sheet metal part. This enables simple and cost-effective production of the braking element. In particular, the first braking element consists of metal or a metal alloy.

[0021] A further development of the invention provides that the offset is at least as great as a material thickness of the first groove edge engaged behind by the brake wing in the vertical direction. The offset between the first brake wing and the guide element therefore corresponds at least to the material thickness of the first groove edge. This results in a design of the friction brake in which the guide element is present in the muzzle opening when the first brake wing is arranged so as to engage behind the first groove edge. After it has been installed, the friction brake is not arranged exclusively in the cavity of the groove, but rather extends out of the cavity into the muzzle opening. The friction brake preferably engages through the muzzle opening starting from the cavity to at least 50%, at least 75% or even completely. In the latter case, the friction brake is particularly preferably flush with the groove edges facing away from the cavity, but at least it does not protrude beyond the muzzle opening or protrude from the groove. The engagement of the friction brake in the muzzle opening enables particularly reliable longitudinal guidance of the friction brake in the groove.

[0022] A further development of the invention provides that a second of the braking elements has a second braking wing engaging behind a second of the groove edges and is overlapped by the guide element of the first braking element in the direction of the mouth opening. The second braking element is preferably aligned with the first braking wing of the first braking element or lies in the same plane. In addition, it more preferably has the same material thickness in the vertical direction as the first braking wing. The guide element of the first braking element overlaps the second braking element, so that the second braking element is arranged at least partially between the guide element and a groove base of the groove.

[0023] The second brake element extends with its second brake wing in a laterally direction beyond the guide element and engages under the second groove edge with the second brake wing. When the brake elements are fastened to one another, the first brake wing engages under the first groove edge and the second brake wing engages under the second groove edge, so that the friction brake is held in the groove with a positive fit in the vertical direction. The friction brake or the brake wings each have an axial extension that is greater than the groove width. This prevents the friction brake from twisting in the groove about a vertical axis of rotation, which could disrupt the positive connection between the friction brake and the groove edges. The friction brake is therefore securely held in the groove.

[0024] A further development of the invention provides that, after assembly, the brake elements are guided linearly alongside one another in a lateral direction relative to the longitudinal center axis and can be displaced relative to one another in a lateral direction to adjust the width of the friction brake. After the brake elements have been assembled, the width of the friction brake, i.e. its extension in the lateral direction, is adjustable. This makes it easy to adapt the braking force. For example, with a first width of the friction brake, a first braking force occurs when the frames are displaced relative to one another, and with a second width, a second braking force different from the first braking force occurs. In particular, for a given displacement of the frames relative to one another, the greater the width of the friction brake, the greater the braking force.Preferably, the friction brake is designed such that it or its brake vanes engage the groove edges in a form-fitting manner, regardless of the width setting, i.e., regardless of all possible width settings. Consequently, the friction brake is reliably held in the groove regardless of the width setting.

[0025] A further development of the invention provides that the brake elements are connected to one another via an eccentric for displacement relative to one another. The eccentric is rotatably mounted on one of the brake elements and engages eccentrically with the other of the brake elements. The friction brake is designed such that, upon rotation of the eccentric about the eccentric rotation axis, the brake elements are displaced relative to one another in a lateral direction. Preferably, however, they are fixed relative to one another in an axial direction, so that the eccentric only causes the brake elements to be displaced relative to one another in a lateral direction. The use of the eccentric enables simple and reliable adjustment of the desired width of the friction brake.

[0026] A further development of the invention provides that the eccentric is rotatably mounted on the second brake element about an eccentric axis of rotation and engages in a recess in the first brake element that is open at the edge in the axial direction. The eccentric therefore extends through the recess of the first brake element in the direction of the second brake element and is rotatably mounted thereon. For example, the eccentric is riveted to the second brake element. It can also be provided that the eccentric extends through the second brake element and is thickened on the side of the second brake element facing away from the first brake element, so that the eccentric is positively connected to the second brake element in the vertical direction or in the axial direction with respect to the eccentric axis of rotation.

[0027] The recess of the first braking element, into which the eccentric engages starting from the second braking element, is preferably designed with an open edge. This means that an edge delimiting the recess is not continuous, but rather interrupted. Consequently, the recess has an opening through which the eccentric can be inserted into the recess. The recess preferably has dimensions in the axial direction with respect to the longitudinal center axis of the groove that are larger than the dimensions of the eccentric in the same direction. In the lateral direction, the recess is designed with the same or at least approximately the same dimensions as the eccentric. This means that after being arranged in the recess, the eccentric preferably bears on the edge delimiting the recess on opposite sides at the same time in order to achieve reliable lateral guidance in the lateral direction. This allows precise adjustment of the desired width of the friction brake and the braking force it produces.

[0028] A further development of the invention provides that the linear guidance of the braking elements relative to one another is achieved by means of a guide pin which extends through a slot-like guide recess in the first braking element and is fastened to the second braking element. The guide pin extends through the guide recess of the first braking element in the direction of the second braking element and is fastened to the latter. For example, the guide pin is screwed into the second braking element. The guide recess is designed like a slot, i.e., has larger dimensions in a first direction than in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. Preferably, the guide recess is produced with a closed edge in the first braking element. Further preferably, it has larger dimensions in the lateral direction than in the axial direction in order to allow the width of the friction brake to be adjusted by displacing the braking elements relative to one another.

[0029] Particularly preferably, the guide pin also serves as a pivot bearing for the extension arm. For this purpose, the guide pin projects beyond the first brake element in the direction away from the second braking element, and the extension arm is rotatably mounted on the projecting guide pin. For example, the extension arm has a bearing recess into which the guide pin engages or through which the guide pin passes. Particularly preferably, the guide pin has a head on its side facing away from the second braking element, which head is larger in diameter than a shaft of the guide pin, which passes through the guide recess of the first braking element in the direction of the second braking element. The head is designed in such a way that it prevents the extension arm from being lifted off the friction brake, i.e., holds the extension arm securely on the friction brake in the axial direction. The described design of the friction brake enables particularly simple and reliable adjustment of the braking force.

[0030] A further development of the invention provides that the first frame is a fixed frame and the second frame is a sash frame, and the groove is located on the fixed frame. Such a design of the building locking device has already been mentioned above. The groove is formed in the first frame, so that the friction brake is guided linearly on the fixed frame and is coupled to the second frame, preferably via the projection arm. This creates a friction brake that can be easily adjusted, regardless of the design of the building locking device.

[0031] A further development of the invention provides that the groove is closed on both sides in the axial direction with respect to its longitudinal center axis. This has also been mentioned above. The groove is not open in the axial direction, but rather closed. For example, the groove formed in one of the frame members is bordered by additional frame members engaging the member. This type of frame design applies primarily to the outer frame of the building locking device. The described design of the friction brake nevertheless enables simple and quick installation of the friction brake on the frame.

[0032] The invention further relates to a method for assembling a building locking device, in particular a building locking device according to the embodiments in the context of this description, wherein the building locking device has a first frame and a second frame mounted so as to be displaceable with respect to the first frame, and the first frame and the second frame are coupled to one another via a friction brake which effects a braking force counteracting a relative displacement of the two frames, and wherein the friction brake is arranged in a groove formed in one of the frames and delimited by opposing groove edges so as to be displaceable in the axial direction with respect to a longitudinal central axis of the groove. It is provided that the friction brake has brake elements which are introduced separately from one another into the groove through an opening in the groove delimited by the groove edges and are mounted to one another and, after mounting, are held in the groove in a form-fitting manner by engaging behind the groove edges on opposite sides and are in sliding contact with the frame.

[0033] The advantages of such a procedure or such a design of the building locking device have already been pointed out. Both the building locking device and the method for its installation can be further developed according to the explanations in this description, so reference is made to these in this regard.

[0034] Basically, the brake elements are inserted individually and spaced apart from one another into the groove, namely through the opening. Only in the groove are the brake elements brought into contact with one another and assembled, namely, fastened to one another or mounted to one another. As long as the brake elements are not installed, they can be easily removed from the groove again, namely through the opening. Only after installation are they, or the friction brake they form, permanently held in the groove by a positive fit, as they engage behind the groove edges.

[0035] The features and feature combinations described in the description, in particular the features and feature combinations described in the following description of the figures and / or shown in the figures, can be used not only in the respective combination specified, but also in other combinations or on their own, without departing from the scope of the claims. Thus, embodiments are also to be considered encompassed by the invention that are not explicitly shown or explained in the description and / or the figures, but which, within the scope of the claims, are derived from the explained embodiments or can be derived from them.

[0036] The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to the exemplary embodiments shown in the drawings, without limiting the invention. In the drawings: Figure 1 shows a schematic representation of a building locking device with a first frame and a second frame, which are connected to one another via a friction brake, Figure 2 shows a schematic representation of the friction brake and a deployment arm, via which one of the frames is connected to the friction brake, Figure 3 shows a schematic exploded view of the friction brake, and Figure 4 shows a schematic cross-sectional view of the building locking device with the friction brake arranged in a groove of one of the frames.

[0037] The Figure 1shows a schematic representation of a building locking device 1, which has a first frame 2 with several beams 3, of which two are shown, and a second frame 4, also with several beams 5. In the illustrated embodiment, the first frame 2 is a fixed frame and the second frame 4 is a casement frame. The two frames 2 and 4 are displaceable relative to one another and, for this purpose, are preferably mounted so as to be rotatable relative to one another, in particular against one another, about a rotation axis not shown. In order to prevent uncontrolled displacement of the two frames 2 and 4 relative to one another and / or to fix the frames 2 and 4 in a defined position relative to one another, the building locking device 1 has a friction brake 6.

[0038] The friction brake 6 is arranged in a groove 7 of the first frame 2 or one of the beams 3 of the first frame 2. The groove 7 is delimited on opposite sides by groove edges 8 and 9. The groove 7 is in the form of a T-slot, so that it is composed of an interior space 10 and a mouth opening 11. With respect to a longitudinal central axis 12 of the groove 7, viewed in the lateral direction, the groove has a groove width and the mouth opening 11 has a mouth opening width, wherein the mouth opening width is smaller than the groove width. The mouth opening width is preferably at most 60%, at most 70%, or at most 80% of the groove width. In the vertical direction, the groove 7 is delimited in regions by a groove base 13 and the groove edges 8 and 9. The groove base 13 is arranged on the side of the interior 10 opposite the mouth opening 11 and is formed by the first frame 12.Preferably, the groove base 13 runs parallel to the mouth opening 11 when viewed in cross section.

[0039] It can be seen that the friction brake 6 is arranged, on the one hand, in the groove 7 and is therefore mounted linearly on the first frame 2 in the axial direction with respect to the longitudinal center axis 12. On the other hand, the friction brake 6 is connected to the second frame 4 via a projection arm 14. For this purpose, the projection arm 14 is rotatably mounted on the one hand on the friction brake 6 and, on the other hand, on the second frame 4. The axes of rotation about which the projection arm 14 is mounted on the second frame 4 and the friction brake 6 are arranged at a distance from the axis of rotation about which the two frames 2 and 4 are rotatably mounted on one another. Consequently, a rotational movement of the frames 2 and 4 relative to one another with respect to the axis of rotation causes a displacement of the friction brake 6 in the groove 7.The friction brake 6 is designed such that it slides against the first frame 2 with a specific coefficient of friction, thus counteracting the rotational movement with a braking force that hinders or prevents the rotational movement of the frames 2 and 4 relative to each other. This prevents uncontrolled displacement of the frames 2 and 4 relative to each other and fixes the frames 2 and 4 in a defined position relative to each other.

[0040] The friction brake 6 has a first braking element 15 and a second braking element 16. These are inserted separately from one another through the mouth opening 11 into the groove 7 and then assembled together. Once assembled together, the two braking elements 15 and 16 engage behind the groove edges 8 and 9 on opposite sides of the mouth opening 11, so that the friction brake 6 is held positively in the groove 7. To adjust the width of the friction brake 6 and thus the braking force, the braking elements 15 and 16 are connected to one another via an eccentric 17, which is arranged in an open-edged recess 18 of the first braking element 15 and is rotatably mounted on the second braking element 16. The extension arm 14 is rotatably mounted on the friction brake 6 by means of a guide pin 19.

[0041] The guide pin 19 also serves to support the brake elements 15 and 16 against each other so that they can be displaced laterally.

[0042] The Figure 2shows a schematic representation of the friction brake 6 and the extension arm 14. It can be seen that the first braking element 15 is designed in steps and therefore has a first braking wing 20 and a guide element 21 offset relative to the first braking wing. The second braking element 16 has a second braking wing 22. The friction brake 6 is arranged and designed such that, after being arranged in the groove 7, the braking wings 20 and 22 engage behind the groove edges 8 and 9 on opposite sides, whereas the guide element 21 projects from the interior 10 into the mouth opening 11. Preferably, the braking wings 20 and 22 have the same material thickness in the vertical direction, so that when the second braking wing 22 rests against the guide element 21, the undersides of the braking wings 20 and 22 are aligned with one another. The first brake element 15 is preferably in the form of a stamped and bent part, and the second brake element 16 is in the form of a stamped part.

[0043] A guide recess 23 can now be seen, which is designed like an elongated hole in the second braking element 16. The guide pin 19 extends through the guide recess 23 in the direction of the second braking element 16. The guide pin 19 has a shaft 24 and a head 25. The shaft 24 extends through an opening in the extension arm 14, which has smaller dimensions than the head 25, so that the head 25 cannot pass through the opening. Accordingly, the guide pin 19 reliably holds the extension arm 14 to the friction brake 6. At the same time, the guide pin 19 guides or supports the two braking elements 15 and 16 relative to one another, so that they can be displaced relative to one another, preferably exclusively in the lateral direction. This displacement is effected by means of the eccentric 17 or the position of the two braking elements 15 and 16 relative to each other in the lateral direction is adjusted by means of the eccentric 17.Preferably, each rotational angle position of the eccentric 17 relative to the second braking element 16 is assigned a position of the two braking elements 15 and 16 in the lateral direction relative to one another. In other words, a specific rotational angle position of the eccentric 17 corresponds to a specific width of the friction brake 6 and consequently to a specific braking force.

[0044] The Figure 3 shows a schematic exploded view of the friction brake 6. Reference is made to the above explanations. Figure 4 shows a schematic cross-sectional view through the building locking device 1. It can be seen that the two brake wings 20 and 22 or the two brake elements 15 and 16 engage behind the groove edges 8 and 9 in a form-fitting manner in order to hold the friction brake 6 in the groove 7.

[0045] The described design of the building locking device 1 enables simple and rapid installation of the friction brake 6, particularly, but not only, in the case where the building locking device 1 is opened outward. In this case, the friction brake 6 remains easily accessible when the building locking device 1 is open, so that not only the installation but also the adjustment of the friction brake 6 is particularly easy, since the person performing the installation or adjustment can have direct access to the friction brake 6.
