Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a modular and demountable trench system according to claim 1 for field fortification in military applications. The invention further relates to a trench system that can be assembled from a kit and a receiving container for receiving the kit, as well as a method according to claim 11 for said assembly and disassembly.
[0002] From publication JP S55 85142 U, a support strut for mutually bracing steel sheet piles in an excavation pit is known. After the steel sheet piles have been driven into the ground using heavy equipment, excavation is carried out successively in the area enclosed by the steel sheet piles, followed by all construction work such as pile driving and concrete pouring. To provide sufficient support for the steel sheet piles during or before this construction work, several support struts are installed between the steel sheet piles. Each support strut includes an operable hydraulic cylinder with an oil supply, which allows the distance between the steel sheet piles to be adjusted.
[0003] Furthermore, a mobile trench shoring device is known from US patent 5,123,785 A, which has a removable front skirt that is adapted to extend into the immediate area of the excavation work and at the same time prevents the unintentional spillage or falling back of soil into the trench before side plates are moved into the shoring position, wherein hydraulic cylinders are provided between the side plates as support struts for mutually supporting the plates.
[0004] From the publication JP 2000 104407 A, another support strut with a hydraulic cylinder for mutually supporting the side walls of an excavation pit is known.
[0005] In contrast, a trench system is located underground for field fortification in military or infantry operations. Known trench systems consist of trenches running underground as connecting or advancing trenches, linking, for example, fighting positions and dugouts. The necessary trench system is first dug into the ground and supported by wooden posts and, for example, corrugated iron sheets. This common construction method is not only very cumbersome and time-consuming to build, but also lacks the necessary flexibility for more complex trench systems. Furthermore, expanding existing trench systems is not possible, meaning that new materials are required each time the trench system is relocated for military use.
[0006] The present invention is based on the objective of proposing a trench system for field fortification for military use and a receiving container for receiving a trench system as well as a method for installing and removing a trench system, which enable simple, quick and flexible installation, removal and transport.
[0007] This problem is solved by the features of claim 1 and 11, respectively. Advantageous and claimed embodiments are described in the dependent claims, the description, and the drawings.
[0008] Thus, a trench system for field fortification for military use is proposed, wherein at least one installable and expandable kit is provided, wherein the kit comprises several detachably connected wall panels for forming wall sections of a trench and several connecting rods, and wherein adjacent wall sections of the wall panels can be detachably connected to each other at predetermined angles via a connecting rod to adapt to a predetermined trench layout of the trench.
[0009] To construct a trench system within an existing trench, horizontally oriented wall panels from the proposed kit are detachably connected to each other using the corresponding vertically oriented connecting rods. This allows for the quick and easy assembly of trench wall sections using the wall panels and connecting rods. Installation is achieved without the use of screws or nails, enabling virtually tool-free assembly and disassembly. Consequently, the constructed wall sections can be dismantled just as quickly, facilitating reuse and transport. The flexibility of the proposed kit allows for any necessary expansion and / or subsequent modification during infantry or military operations.Due to the small number of different components, the proposed kit is quick and easy to assemble. The wall panels and elements, which can be attached to each other at any angle, allow for flexible routing of connecting trenches and passageways. This flexible connection also allows the trench system to be adjusted vertically to suit the terrain and follow its contours.
[0010] A particular advantage is that a wall section of the trench system is formed by stacking several horizontally running and detachably fastened wall panels on top of each other. Preferably, the wall panel is manufactured, for example, as a cuboid-shaped chamber profile, preferably as a hollow chamber profile made of plastic. The use of plastic as the manufacturing material makes the kit not only weather-resistant but also particularly lightweight, thus enabling very easy transport. Preferably, the wall panels can be manufactured very cost-effectively from plastic using extrusion and / or injection molding.
[0011] To easily and detachably connect adjacent wall panels at any angle, each end of the wall panel is provided with at least one receptacle or similar feature for the associated connecting rod. This allows adjacent wall panels belonging to the same connecting rod to be detachably connected via these receptacles without the need for tools.
[0012] It is particularly advantageous if a first mounting area is positioned at one end and a second mounting area is positioned opposite the first end, offset from the first, in such a way that a gap or similar is provided for a mounting section of an adjacent wall panel. This allows the wall panels to be connected without incorrect installation, as the existing gap essentially dictates the correct orientation of the wall panel. This results in a virtually self-explanatory assembly of the proposed kit, eliminating the need for complicated assembly instructions.
[0013] To further reduce the number of components required for the proposed kit, it is particularly advantageous if the mounting area is integrated with the wall panel as a single unit. However, it is also possible for the mounting area to be detachably attached to the wall panel to further increase the flexibility of the proposed kit. It is especially advantageous if both integrated and detachably attached mounting areas are used in the kit.
[0014] To achieve a tool-free, structurally simple, and easily detachable fastening between the connecting rod and the wall panels, the receiving area can, for example, be designed as a sleeve section, sleeve, or similar for guiding the connecting rod. This creates a positive-locking connection between the receiving area and the connecting rod.
[0015] Another way to create a detachable connection between the connecting rod and the wall panel is to have the receiving area have at least one elastic retaining clip or similar device for gripping the connecting rod section by section. This creates a force-fit or friction-fit connection between the receiving area and the connecting rod. This type of fastening allows for particularly simple assembly, as the wall panels can be attached to each other from different directions.
[0016] For example, in order to cover and simultaneously stabilize two wall sections formed from mutually attached wall panels that are opposed to each other, the invention provides that the kit includes cover panels or the like for covering the formed wall sections.
[0017] For example, plastic chamber profiles or hollow chamber profiles can be used as cover panels to ensure weather resistance and low weight. It is particularly advantageous if the cover profile or panel has a U-shaped end section or similar feature to overlap the wall sections. This allows for a particularly simple and structurally sound way of attaching the cover panels to the wall sections for covering and stabilizing them.
[0018] To further enhance the stability of the trench system assembled from the kit, at least one cross brace is provided between approximately parallel wall sections. Attaching the cross braces is particularly easy by connecting them to the connecting rods at their upper and / or lower ends.
[0019] The problem underlying the invention is thus solved by a trench fighting system that can be assembled from at least one previously described kit.
[0020] Furthermore, the task is solved by a receiving container for holding the aforementioned kit. In In this context, it is particularly advantageous if the receiving container simultaneously provides or forms a group shelter in the trench system formed from the aforementioned kit.
[0021] The problem underlying the invention is also solved by a method for installing and removing the aforementioned kit.
[0022] In the proposed method, horizontally oriented wall panels are detachably fastened to one another via vertically oriented connecting rods. The connected wall panels are stacked on top of each other, creating two wall sections running approximately parallel to each other at a predetermined distance along the trench system. By selecting a predetermined angle for the connection of adjacent wall panels, the resulting wall section can be adapted to the trench alignment, thus enabling the desired trench system to be realized using the integrated kit. The spaced wall sections are covered and stabilized with cover panels. Additionally, cross braces can be installed between the wall sections and attached to the connecting rods for further stabilization. To dismantle the kit, the cover panels are detached from the wall sections and the interconnected wall panels are separated from each other, so that all components of the kit can be removed from the trench system and placed in the receiving container.
[0023] The present invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the drawings.
[0024] They show: Fig. 1 a schematic top view of a built-in kit according to the invention as a trench system for field fortification for military use; Fig. 2 a schematic view of a wall section formed from wall panels detachably connected to each other via connecting rods; Fig. 3 a single-part view of a wall panel with a first embodiment of a receiving section connected in one part to the wall panel as a sleeve section for passing the connecting rod; Fig. 4a single-part view of a wall panel with a second version of a mounting section that is integrally connected to the wall panel and has an elastic retaining clip for gripping the connecting rod section by section; Fig. 5A and 5B Individual views of a mounting section that can be detachably connected to the wall panel as a connector with a sleeve section or a retaining clip; Fig. 6 a three-dimensional partial view of the kit under construction with cross braces for stabilization; and Fig. 7 Another three-dimensional partial view of the kit under construction, including cover panels.
[0025] In the Figures 1 to 7 Various views of a modular kit that can be assembled and disassembled as a trench system for field fortification for military use are shown as examples.
[0026] The modular kit, which can be installed and removed, comprises several wall panels 1 that can be detachably attached to each other at any angle using connecting rods 2. This allows for the quick and flexible construction and dismantling of a trench system using the kit, adapting it to specific requirements.
[0027] Such a prefabricated kit, designed as a trench system, is in Figure 1 The kit is illustrated by way of example. It forms a variable trench system with fighting positions 3 and shelters 4, which are connected to each other by trenches 5. A larger group shelter 6 is advantageously formed by a receiving container, for example a container or the like, for holding the kit components.
[0028] For example, a cuboid hollow chamber profile made of plastic is used as wall panel 1, so that several wall panels 1, detachably attached to the connecting rods 2, form a wall section of a trench system, as is the case, for example, in Figure 2 is shown.
[0029] To attach the wall panels 1 to the vertical connecting rods 2, a receiving area for the associated connecting rod 2 is provided at each end of the wall panels 1.
[0030] For example, in the Figures 3 and 4As shown, a first receiving area is arranged at a first end face 7 of the wall panel 1, and a second receiving area is arranged at a second end face 8 opposite the first end face 8 of the wall panel 1, such that a free space 9 is provided for a receiving area of an adjacent wall panel 1. Accordingly, the first receiving area at the first end face 7 and the second receiving area at the second end face 8 are arranged diagonally offset with respect to the rectangular wall surface.
[0031] In Figure 3 An example of a first embodiment of a receiving area designed in one piece with the wall panel 1 is shown, in which the receiving area is designed as a sleeve section 10 for passing through or inserting the connecting rod 2.
[0032] In Figure 4An example of a second embodiment of a receiving area made in one piece with the wall panel 1 is shown, in which the receiving area has an elastic retaining clamp 11 for section-wise gripping the connecting rod 2.
[0033] In Figures 5A and 5B A receiving area, detachably connectable to one end of the wall panel 1, is shown as connector 14A, 14B. The receiving area of connector 14A is shown in an exemplary first embodiment according to Figure 5A as sleeve section 10 and in a second embodiment according to Figure 5B The receiving area of connector 14B is designed as a retaining clip 11. These are merely examples of a detachable connector 14A, 14B, which can of course also have differently shaped receiving areas.
[0034] In Figure 6The kit is shown in assembly, with the first wall panels 1 detachably attached to the vertical connecting rods for the construction of two wall sections. For stabilization, cross braces 12 are detachably attached to the wall panels 1 at the bottom via the connecting rods 2. Additional cross braces or cross struts 12 are provided in the upper area of the connecting rods 2 for further stabilization.
[0035] Figure 7Figure 1 shows the kit during further assembly, with the two wall sections, which are set apart from each other, being detachably fastened with cover panels 13, thus forming a closed trench. The cover panels 13, by means of, for example, U-shaped end sections 15, grip the uppermost wall panels 1, thereby increasing the stability of the entire trench system. They can also be made of cuboid hollow chamber profiles made of plastic. Finally, the floor area in the closed trench can be lined with non-slip grid tiles.
[0036] The provided vertical connecting rods 2, to which the wall panels 1 are detachably attached, can preferably be made of metal or of fiber-reinforced plastic. Reference sign
