Abstract
Description
Kit including at least two laminated glazing units
[0001] The invention relates to the field of motor vehicle glazing.
[0002] Automotive glazing must meet an increasing number of requirements, in terms of safety (visibility, impact resistance, burglary resistance), comfort (visual, thermal, acoustic) and aesthetics (curvature, reflection and transmission appearance, from the inside or outside). Various functions are also integrated into the glazing, for example for displays, heating, etc.
[0003] The use of laminated glazing, in which two sheets of glass are adhesively bonded using a lamination interlayer, improves burglar resistance and acoustic comfort, ensures good visibility even in the event of breakage, and makes it easier to integrate different functions.
[0004] The different glazings used (windshield, roof, front and rear side windows, quarter windows, rear window) must meet requirements that differ depending on the type of glazing. For example, a car roof is generally heavily tinted to ensure good thermal comfort, while a windshield must allow good vision at least in its central area, and may require defrosting or demisting functions requiring the addition of thin layers on the glass. The glass sheets used for these glazings will therefore generally be different.
[0005] It is therefore common for the different glazings used for the same vehicle to have different appearances, particularly in terms of tint and light transmission. Here, "tint" means the colored appearance in transmission, characterized in particular by the colorimetric coordinates L*a*b*, calculated from the transmission spectrum between 380 and 780 nm, taking into account the illuminant D65 and the CIE 1964 observer (10°).
[0006] This is all the more true when the glazing has electrically controllable zones with variable tint allowing the transition from a clear state to a dark state and vice versa. This functionality can be achieved in particular by adding functional films within a laminated glazing. By "dark" state is meant a state in which the light transmission of the glazing in the corresponding zone is lower than in the "clear" state. For example, a dark state may correspond to a light transmission of less than or equal to 8%, in particular less than or equal to 5%, or even less than or equal to 3%, and even less than or equal to 1%. A clear state may correspond to a light transmission of greater than or equal to 10%, in particular greater than or equal to 15%. In this text, the light transmission is calculated from the transmission spectrum between 380 and 780 nm taking into account illuminant A and the CIE 1964 reference observer (10°).This feature notably improves the thermal and lighting comfort of the occupants of the passenger compartment by modulating the light entry at will.
[0007] The inventors were able to demonstrate that despite the use of different sheets of glass, it was nevertheless possible to ensure that the appearance of the different areas with variable tint was substantially identical, both in the light and dark states, in order in particular to improve the visual comfort of the occupants of the passenger compartment and the general appearance of the vehicle.
[0008] The subject of the invention is a kit comprising a first laminated glazing unit and a second laminated glazing unit, said first and second laminated glazing units being different from each other and being intended to equip the same motor vehicle, in which:- the first laminated glazing unit comprises at least one electrically controllable zone with variable tint so as to pass from a clear state to a dark state and vice versa, and comprises two glass sheets and at least one lamination interlayer,- the second laminated glazing unit comprises at least one electrically controllable zone with variable tint so as to pass from a clear state to a dark state and vice versa, and comprises two glass sheets and at least one lamination interlayer, at least one of the glass sheets of the second laminated glazing unit having a tint different from that of each of the glass sheets of the first laminated glazing unit,- the difference ΔTLA between the light transmission of the first laminated glazing in the electrically controllable zones in the clear state, respectively in the dark state, and the light transmission of the second laminated glazing in the electrically controllable zones in the clear state, respectively in the dark state, is less than or equal to 2 in absolute value, and- the color difference in transmission ΔE between the first laminated glazing in the electrically controllable zones in the clear state, respectively in the dark state, and the second laminated glazing in the electrically controllable zones in the clear state, respectively in the dark state, is less than or equal to 5.0.,
[0009] The invention also relates to a motor vehicle comprising the first laminated glazing and the second laminated glazing of the kit according to the invention.
[0010] The difference ΔTLA and the transmission color difference ΔE are therefore small, both in the light and dark states.
[0011] In the dark state, the light transmission of the laminated glazings in the electrically controllable zones is preferably less than or equal to 8%, in particular less than or equal to 5%, or even less than or equal to 3% and even less than or equal to 1%. The dark state can therefore be opaque or almost opaque. In the clear state, the light transmission of the glazings in the electrically controllable zones is preferably greater than or equal to 8%, in particular greater than or equal to 10%, for example between 10 and 30%.
[0012] The difference ΔTLA is preferably less than or equal to 1, in particular less than or equal to 0.5, in absolute value, in the light state and / or in the dark state.
[0013] The difference ΔTLA is determined according to the following formula:
[0014]
[0015] TLA1 and TLA2corresponding respectively to the light transmission of the first laminated glazing and the second laminated glazing (in the areas with variable tint). The light transmission is calculated from the transmission spectrum between 380 and 780 nm taking into account illuminant A and the CIE 1964 reference observer (10°) and expressed in percent. Thus, if TLA1 is 20% and TLA2 is 18%, the difference ΔTLA is 2.
[0016] The transmission color difference ΔE is preferably less than or equal to 4.0, in particular less than or equal to 3.0 or even less than or equal to 2.0, in the light state and / or in the dark state. According to the usual convention, the color difference is determined according to the following formula:
[0017]
[0018] The colorimetric coordinates L*a*b* of the first and second glass sheets (respectively indexed 1 and 2) are calculated from the transmission spectrum between 380 and 780 nm taking into consideration the illuminant D65 as well as the CIE 1964 observer (10°).
[0019] The kit or vehicle may include other laminated glazing, in particular a third laminated glazing, a fourth laminated glazing, etc. In this case, the conditions relating to the difference in transmission and the color difference may also apply to these additional laminated glazings, either in their entirety or to any electrically controllable variable tint zones, and in the latter case, both in the clear and dark state.
[0020] The vehicle or kit may also include monolithic glazing units, generally mechanically reinforced (tempered or hardened). In this case, the glass for these glazing units may be chosen so that the above-mentioned conditions relating to transmission difference and color difference apply to these additional monolithic glazing units, in the clear or dark state.
[0021] Laminated glazing is generally curved, particularly in one or two directions, in order to integrate perfectly with the vehicle body. A distinction is then made between the inner face of the glazing, intended to be located on the inside of the vehicle, which is the concave face, and the outer face of the glazing, intended to be located on the outside of the vehicle, which is the convex face. Bending can be carried out in particular by gravity (the glass deforms under its own weight) or by pressing, at temperatures typically ranging from 550 to 650°C. According to a first embodiment, the two sheets of glass of the laminated glazing are curved separately. According to a second embodiment, the glass sheets are curved together.
[0022] Preferably, laminated glazing consists of only two sheets of glass.
[0023] The first and second laminated glazings (or even the third or fourth laminated glazing) are preferably chosen from the windshield, the roof, the side windows (front or rear), the quarter windows and the rear window. The side windows may, for example, comprise an electrically controllable zone occupying the entire surface of the window (particularly in the case of rear side windows), or only a part, for example in the form of a horizontal strip located in the upper part of the glazing (particularly in the case of front side windows).
[0024] The first and / or second laminated glazing may comprise one or more electrically controllable zones. This or these zones may occupy all or part of the surface area of the glazing. Depending on the case, the total surface area occupied by the electrically controllable zone(s) represents at least 60%, in particular at least 70%, or even at least 80% or at least 90% of the surface area of the laminated glazing, or on the contrary occupies for example between 5 and 80%, in particular between 10 and 50% of the surface area of the laminated glazing.
[0025] The first and second laminated glazings preferably comprise sheets of clear glass, tinted glass and / or supertinted glass, in any possible combination.
[0026] The light transmission and tint of each of the glass sheets are adjusted by the chemical composition of the glass and the thickness of the glass sheet. The thickness of the glass sheets is preferably between 0.7 and 4.0 mm, in particular between 1.4 and 3.0 mm. The chemical composition of the glass comprises a colorless base, preferably soda-lime-silica (but other glasses may be used, in particular borosilicate or aluminosilicate glasses), as well as a coloring part. The coloring part comprises in particular one or more colorants chosen from transition metal oxides – in particular iron oxides (ferrous and ferric), cobalt oxide, chromium oxide, nickel oxide, rare earth oxides, in particular erbium oxide, and selenium.
[0027] A clear glass sheet is a sheet having, for example, a light transmission of at least 85%, or even at least 90%. It generally does not include any coloring part except for unavoidable impurities, in particular iron oxides, in a total content of between 0.005 and 0.200% by weight, in particular between 0.010 and 0.150% by weight, or even between 0.030 and 0.120% by weight.
[0028] A tinted glass sheet is a glass sheet having, for example, a light transmission of between 50 and 80%, in particular between 60 and 75%. It comprises a coloring part, for example, consisting of iron oxides, in a total content of between 0.4 and 1.2% by weight, in particular between 0.6 and 1.1% by weight. The glasses obtained are then green, possibly yellowish or blueish-green depending on the proportion of ferrous iron. According to other examples, cobalt oxide, selenium and / or erbium oxide are added to impart a tint, for example blue or gray.
[0029] A sheet of over-tinted glass is a sheet of glass having, for example, a light transmission of between 5 and 50%, in particular between 8 and 40%. It comprises a coloring part, for example, consisting of iron oxides, in a total content of between 1.0 and 2.3% by weight, in particular between 1.1 and 2.0% by weight, as well as cobalt and chromium oxides and / or selenium. The coloring part comprises, for example, the following colorants, in the weight contents defined below: Fe2O3 (total iron) of 1.2 to 2.3%, in particular of 1.5 to 2.2%, CoO of 50 to 400 ppm, in particular of 200 to 350 ppm, Se of 0 to 35 ppm, in particular of 10 to 30 ppm. The redox is preferably between 0.1 and 0.4, in particular between 0.2 and 0.3. Redox is understood to mean the weight ratio between the ferrous iron content (expressed as FeO) and the total iron content (expressed as Fe2O3). The glasses obtained are in particular green or gray.
[0030] At least one of the glass sheets of the second laminated glazing unit has a tint, and preferably also a light transmission, different from that of each of the glass sheets of the first laminated glazing unit. For example, the second laminated glazing unit may comprise a sheet of over-tinted glass (possibly with a sheet of clear glass or a sheet of tinted glass), while the first laminated glazing unit comprises two sheets of tinted glass or a sheet of tinted glass and a sheet of clear glass.
[0031] These differences in tint, or even in light transmission, can also be characterized by the parameters ΔTLA and ΔE previously defined, except that the light transmissions and coordinates L*a*b* are those of the glass sheets to be compared, and not of the complete laminated glazings. Preferably, at least one of the glass sheets of the second laminated glazing has a difference ΔTLA of at least 10, in particular at least 15, or even at least 20 or at least 30, even at least 40 or at least 50, with at least one, and even with each of the glass sheets of the first laminated glazing. Preferably, at least one of the glass sheets of the second laminated glazing has a color difference ΔE of at least 5, in particular at least 6, or even at least 7, with at least one, or even with each of the glass sheets of the first laminated glazing.
[0032] According to a preferred embodiment, the first laminated glazing is a windshield and the second laminated glazing is a roof. The windshield may in particular be a panoramic windshield, which extends towards the rear of the vehicle above the driver and the front passenger. The roof may occupy all or part of the roof of the vehicle. It may be separated from the windshield by a part of the bodywork or, on the contrary, be in direct extension of the windshield.
[0033] The first laminated glazing is advantageously a windshield which comprises at least one electrically controllable zone with variable tint located in the upper part of the windshield in the mounted state, in particular in zone C, for example in the form of a horizontal strip. Alternatively or cumulatively, an electrically controllable zone may be located in the lower part of the windshield, for example for the purpose of displaying information. In the case of a panoramic windshield, one or more electrically controllable zones may be located in the part intended to be located above the driver or the front passenger. For example, two independently electrically controllable zones may be located, one above the driver, the other above the front passenger, which allows each of the occupants to adapt their thermal and lighting comfort independently of the others.
[0034] Taking into account current safety requirements, the light transmission of the windshield in the electrically controllable zones in the clear state and advantageously in the central part, called zone A, is preferably greater than or equal to 70%. The light transmission is as defined previously (TLA). To achieve this, it is possible in particular to laminate a sheet of clear glass with a sheet of tinted glass. The clear glass sheet is preferably located on the outside of the vehicle.
[0035] When the second laminated glazing is a roof, it may in particular comprise a single electrically controllable zone, which may occupy all or part of the surface area of the roof, for example between 50 and 100%, in particular between 70 and 95% of the surface area of the roof. Alternatively, the roof may comprise several independently electrically controllable zones (in particular two, three or four), which may in total occupy all or part of the surface area of the roof, for example between 50 and 100%, in particular between 70 and 95% of the surface area of the roof.
[0036] The light transmission of the roof (and generally of the first and second laminated glazings) in the electrically controllable zone(s) in the clear state is preferably between 5 and 50%, in particular between 8 and 30%, in order to ensure good thermal comfort. The light transmission is as defined previously (TLA). To do this, it is possible, for example, to laminate two sheets of tinted glass, or to laminate a sheet of over-tinted glass with a sheet of clear glass, or to laminate a sheet of over-tinted glass with a sheet of tinted glass, or to laminate two sheets of over-tinted glass.
[0037] The first or second laminated glazing may also comprise a thin layer or a stack of thin layers deposited on one of the glass sheets. It may in particular be a low-emissivity coating, in particular whose normal emissivity is preferably less than 0.50, in particular 0.30 and even 0.20 or even 0.10. It is preferably a stack of thin layers comprising at least one (in particular two, three or four) layer of silver or a layer of a transparent conductive oxide, in particular chosen from tin and indium oxides, zinc oxides doped with aluminum or gallium or tin oxides doped with fluorine or antimony. These functional layers are generally interposed between dielectric layers based on oxides, nitrides and / or oxide nitrides.
[0038] Due to their low emissivity, these layers improve thermal comfort by reducing the entry of solar heat in summer and reducing heat loss in winter. When electrical current supplies are provided, these layers, due to their low electrical resistivity, can also dissipate heat by the Joule effect, allowing, particularly in the case of a windshield, the glazing to be defrosted or demisted.
[0039] In the case of a windshield, these layers or stacks are preferably arranged on face 2 or 3 of the glazing, i.e. facing a lamination interlayer. In the case of a roof, it may also be advantageous to arrange such a stack, comprising a layer of transparent conductive oxide, on face 4 of the glazing, i.e. the face located in contact with the interior of the vehicle. The thermal comfort of the occupants is further improved by the presence of such a stack.
[0040] The presence of these thin layers or stacks of thin layers can also contribute to modifying the tint and light transmission of laminated glazing, and can therefore be taken into account when it comes to matching them.
[0041] Preferably, the electrically controllable variable tint zones of the first and second laminated glazings comprise films interposed between two lamination interlayers and chosen independently from electrochromic films, films for suspended particle devices (technology sometimes called “SPD”) and liquid crystal films.
[0042] These films, which will be called "active films," are generally films comprising several layers, some of which may be liquid. The functional layers are generally encapsulated between two polymer sheets, for example polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or polycarbonate (PC).
[0043] Electrochromic films preferably comprise two transparent electrodes separated by an ion storage layer, a polymer electrolyte layer, and an electrochromic layer. The reversible chemical reaction between the ions and the electrochromic layer results in a change in hue.
[0044] Films for suspended particle devices comprise particles suspended in a liquid (in particular contained in the pores of a polymer matrix), said particles having the capacity to align under the effect of an electric field, modifying the tint of the film (from the dark state to the light state).
[0045] In the case of liquid crystal films, the variation in hue (from dark to light) is caused by the alignment of liquid crystals under the effect of an electric field.
[0046] Examples of liquid crystal films are polymer-dispersed liquid crystal films (PDLC technology) or guest-host liquid crystal films (also called "Guest-Host" or GH-LCD). In the latter case, dichroic dye molecules are dissolved in a liquid crystal, and the two components align under the effect of an electric field so as to switch from the dark state to the light state. Guest-host liquid crystal films are preferred because they have a very fast switching time, a high contrast between the light and dark states, low haze, and a neutral tint.
[0047] According to a preferred embodiment, the active films of the first and second laminated glazings are of the same nature. It is thus simpler to obtain similar tints and light transmissions.
[0048] An alternative mode, in which the active films of the first and second laminated glazings are of different natures, is however possible. It is for example possible to use a first laminated glazing comprising an SPD film and a second laminated glazing comprising a PDLC film or a GH-LCD film.
[0049] Active films are normally encapsulated between the two glass sheets by means of lamination interlayers. Laminated glazing then comprises, in the electrically controllable zones, the succession of the following elements: first glass sheet / first lamination interlayer / active film / second lamination interlayer / second glass sheet. In the case where a laminated glazing also comprises non-electrically controllable zones, the succession of elements in these zones is as follows: first glass sheet / first lamination interlayer / second lamination interlayer / second glass sheet. In this zone, the first and second interlayers form a single element after lamination.
[0050] The lamination interlayers are preferably made of a material chosen from poly(vinyl acetal) (in particular poly(vinyl butyral) or PVB), ethylene and vinyl acetate copolymers (EVA), polyurethane (PU), polyethylene terephthalate, polycarbonate, acrylic resins or transparent adhesive materials (also called OCA for "optical clear adhesives"). The lamination interlayers can be in the form of self-supporting films, but some OCA are deposited in liquid form before being crosslinked, for example by means of ultraviolet radiation.
[0051] In the case of self-supporting films, the lamination step can be carried out by autoclave treatment, for example at temperatures of 110 to 160°C and under a pressure of 10 to 15 bars. Prior to autoclave treatment, the air trapped between the glass sheets and the lamination interlayer can be removed by calendering or by vacuum. Particularly in the case of self-supporting OCA, lamination can alternatively be carried out by calendering or using a vacuum press, followed by autoclave treatment, to eliminate residual air bubbles and optimize adhesion.
[0052] The matching of tints and transmissions between the first and second laminated glazing can be done in several ways, notably by playing on the optical properties of one of the glazing elements (in particular the lamination interlayer or the active film) or by adding an additional colored element such as a layer.
[0053] According to a preferred embodiment, at least one lamination interlayer of the first laminated glazing unit has a different tint from that of the or each lamination interlayer of the second laminated glazing unit. This embodiment is particularly advantageous, on the one hand because there are a large number of lamination interlayers commercially available having very varied tints and light transmissions, and on the other hand because it does not require modification of the glazing manufacturing process. For example, only one of the lamination interlayers of the first or second laminated glazing unit may be tinted, the others being clear. According to another example, at least two, for example two or three, of the lamination interlayers of the first or second laminated glazing unit are tinted (in particular have different tints), the others being clear.
[0054] According to another embodiment, the active film of the first laminated glazing has a different tint from that of the active film of the second laminated glazing. It is for example possible to color the polymer layers (typically PET or PC) of at least one of the active films.
[0055] According to another embodiment, at least one of the first and second laminated glazings further comprises an additional colored layer. The term "additional colored layer" means an additional layer relative to the glazing elements that are the glass sheets, the interlayer and the active film.
[0056] Such an additional colored layer may in particular be deposited on one of the glass sheets of at least one of the glazing units. It may be a mineral or organic layer.
[0057] As an example of an organic layer, mention may be made of polymeric layers applicable by liquid means. The polymer may be dissolved in a solvent to make liquid deposition possible. For example, mention may be made of a polymeric layer based on poly(vinyl butyral), polyethylene, ethylene copolymer and vinyl acetate dissolved in a solvent. Preferably, with the aim of using polymer formulations with the least possible solvent, the colored polymeric layer is a layer obtained from a composition comprising epoxy compounds or (meth)acrylate compounds. The polymeric layer is for example obtained from a liquid composition comprising (meth)acrylate compounds chosen from monomers, oligomers, or polymers comprising at least one methacrylate function. The polymeric layer comprises a coloring agent, which preferably represents between 0.01 and 10% by mass relative to the total mass of the polymeric compounds. The coloring agent is in particular an organic compound, preferably inserted into the polymeric composition in the molecular state, that is to say that it is dissolved in the composition and does not form solid particles. Examples of colorants that may be mentioned include derivatives of the anthraquinone family (Acid Blue 25, Alizarin, Anthrapurpurin, Carminic acid, 1,4-Diamino-2,3-dihydroanthraquinone, 7,14-Dibenzpyrenequinone, Dibromoanthanthrone, 1,3-Dihydroxyanthraquinone, 1,4-Dihydroxyanthraquinone, Disperse Red 9, Disperse Red 11, Indanthrone blue, Morindone, Oil Blue 35, Oil Blue A, Parietin, Quinizarine Green SS, Remazol Brilliant Blue R, Solvent Violet 13, 1,2,4-Trihydroxyanthraquinone, Vat Orange 1, Vat Yellow 1) or products from the Neozapon®, Irgasperse®, Basantol®, Orasol® ranges, marketed by BASF.
[0058] Examples of mineral layers include colored sol-gel layers, i.e., a coating obtained by a sol-gel process. A sol-gel process typically comprises the formation of a "sol," i.e., a solution containing at least one precursor of the oxide to be deposited, the application of this solution to the surface to be coated, and then the consolidation or densification of the coating by means of a heat treatment. The precursor includes, in particular, salts of the element whose oxide is to be deposited. These include organometallic compounds, nitrates, acetates, chlorides, etc. Examples of organometallic compounds include alkoxides, for example, tetraorthosilicate (TEOS) in the case of a silicon oxide layer or titanium tetraisopropoxide in the case of a titanium oxide layer. The sol may be partially aqueous. It preferably comprises an organic solvent, for example an alcohol, in particular chosen from ethanol, isopropanol, butanol and glycols or glycol derivatives, and mixtures thereof. The sol may also contain viscosity regulating agents, such as cellulose ethers or polyacrylates. The sol-gel layers are in particular colored by adding inorganic pigments such as metal oxides or metals, generally in the form of nanometric particles.
[0059] The additional colored layer can alternatively be a colored polymer film intercalated at the time of lamination.
[0060] The different embodiments can of course be combined with each other.
[0061] Particularly in the case of a windshield or a roof, the first and / or second glazing preferably comprises an opaque layer, generally black, such as an enamel or a silicate paint, deposited for example by screen printing or digital printing in the form of a peripheral band and serving to conceal and protect the seals used for mounting the glazing on the bodywork bay.
[0062] Examples
[0063] The following examples illustrate the invention in a non-limiting manner, in connection with Figures 1 to 4.
[0064] illustrates a vehicle according to the invention.
[0065] is a partial schematic sectional view of laminated glazing in an electrically controllable zone.
[0066] is a partial schematic sectional view of laminated glazing in an electrically controllable zone.
[0067] is a partial schematic sectional view of laminated glazing in an electrically controllable zone.
[0068] The vehicle 3 shown comprises a laminated windshield 1 and a laminated roof 2 comprising electrically controllable variable tint zones. The vehicle also comprises side windows 4 and 5, quarter windows 6 and a rear window (not shown). In this example, these windows do not comprise electrically controllable variable tint zones. In other examples, these windows, or some of them, could also comprise electrically controllable variable tint zones.
[0069] The windshield 1 comprises in this example, in its upper part, two electrically controllable variable tint zones 11 and 12, in the form of a horizontal strip and serving as a sun visor. The two zones may or may not be independently electrically controllable. When they are, this allows the driver and front passenger to adjust their level of visual comfort independently of the other. The windshield 1 also comprises an opaque black peripheral strip 14, for example made of enamel, in order to conceal and protect the seals used for mounting the windshield in the bodywork and the various wiring, electrical current inlets and sensors (such as for example rain sensor, Lidar etc.).
[0070] In this example, the roof 2 comprises two electrically controllable zones with variable tint 21 and 22. These zones can be independently electrically controllable in order to allow the front and rear passengers to adjust their level of visual and thermal comfort independently. This configuration is obviously given only as an example, other configurations being possible, for example with a single electrically controllable zone or with three or even four electrically controllable zones. The roof 2 also comprises an opaque, black peripheral strip 24, for example made of enamel.
[0071] This illustrates only one particular embodiment. According to other variants, the windshield 1 may also comprise electrically controllable zones in other parts, for example in its lower part, for display purposes (for example by projecting information). In the case of an autonomous vehicle, the entire windshield may be occupied by one or more electrically controllable zones. The other glazings of the vehicle, such as the side glazings 4 and 5, the quarter windows 6 and / or the rear window may also comprise electrically controllable zones, which may also satisfy the conditions relating to the difference ΔTLA and the transmission color deviation ΔE.
[0072] Figures 2 and 4 show schematic sectional views of the windshield 1 in an electrically controllable zone, according to two different (but nevertheless combinable) embodiments. L represents a schematic sectional view of the roof 2 in an electrically controllable zone.
[0073] The windshield 1 comprises two sheets of glass 102 and 104 and two lamination interlayers 106 and 108 (or 109 in the case of the), for example made of PVB, sandwiching an active film 107, for example a film of the LCD-GH type.
[0074] Similarly, the roof 2 comprises two glass sheets 202 and 204 and two lamination interlayers 206 and 208, for example made of PVB, sandwiching an active film 207, for example a film of the LCD-GH type. Other types of interlayers and active films are obviously possible, as described above. In the example illustrated in, the glass sheet 204 has a different tint from those of the glass sheets 102 and 104. It may for example be a supertinted glass while the other glass sheets are made of clear glass or tinted glass.
[0075] In the case exemplified in, the interlayer 108 has a different tint from that of the interlayers 206 and 208. In the case exemplified in, the interlayer 109 has the same tint as that of the interlayers 206 and 208, but the windshield 1 comprises an additional colored layer 110. In the example illustrated, the layer 110 is arranged on the glass sheet 104, but other examples are obviously possible, the layer being able for example to be arranged on the glass sheet 102 or between one of the interlayers 106 or 109 and the active film 107.
