Description

[0001] The invention relates to a subfloor, in particular with a floor heating system, which consists of at least one covering layer of a material which can be poured onto a floor structure in the liquid initial state, wherein the floor heating system has at least one pipe laid on the floor structure in a serpentine or other manner and has a plurality of pipe sections spaced apart from one another, which in pairs each form an intermediate space.

[0002] When installing underfloor heating in a room in particular, at least one serpentine or similarly shaped pipe is laid on a usually level floor structure, with the spacing between the approximately parallel pipe sections of the pipe being selected so that, for a given heat output of the heating water carried through the pipe, a desired floor temperature can be set and the temperature of the heating water can be kept low, preferably at 25 to 35° Celsius. The pipe sections are laid at a distance of preferably between 15 cm and 25 cm from one another. In exceptional cases, however, they can also be laid more or less spaced from one another. These pipes are usually made of plastic and have external diameters of approximately 20 mm, although this can also vary.

[0003] After laying this at least one pipe on an insulation floor, it can be fixed to it with clamps or the like at certain distances from each other and then a prepared, almost liquid mass similar to liquid concrete or mortar is emptied over the entire floor area of the room and the at least one serpentine pipe is enclosed and covered by this and a mostly flat subfloor (screed) is formed, on which ceramic, stone tiles, parquet floors, carpets or the like are usually laid and fixed.

[0004] The materials used are those that offer good thermal conductivity and, ideally, effective impact sound insulation. These can be composed of a sandy aggregate and a binder made of cement or other known materials. However, the drying of this compound after pouring can take up to several weeks, and the soil structure should not be walked on during this time to avoid damaging it.

[0005] The invention is based on the object of improving a subfloor, in particular with an underfloor heating system, with at least one pipe laid in a serpentine or other manner in such a way that, with a simple installation of the subfloor, in particular a shorter drying time for this covering layer poured onto the pipe is made possible.

[0006] This object is achieved according to the invention by the features of claim 1.

[0007] The underfloor heating system in the subfloor with the at least one pipe is provided with several spaced-apart pipe sections, each of which forms a gap in pairs. According to the invention, at least one panel element is placed in each of these gaps, preferably approximately filling the respective gap, and these panel elements and the at least one pipe are covered by the covering layer after the casting process.

[0008] With this novel subfloor according to the invention, it has been found that it can be easily installed and assembled, in which, in contrast to the known solutions, only such plate elements have to be inserted into these spaces, but which can achieve a considerable shortening of the drying time of the material poured onto the pipeline and these plate elements.

[0009] Since these panel elements are made of a dry material and can therefore be selected with significantly more variable properties than the liquid castable material, the subfloor according to the invention can be better adapted to the desired properties, for example, that these panel elements are manufactured with a high level of sound insulation.

[0010] It is advantageous for the panel elements to be laid all around with a minimum distance to the surrounding pipeline or to the edges of the room or similar, so that the covering layer cast in between in the liquid initial state remains crack-resistant after drying.

[0011] The invention provides for at least one filling panel element to be placed in each of the gaps and between the outermost pipe section and the terminating edge. The subfloor is cast with this covering layer up to the edges defining the space. The covering layer protrudes beyond the guided pipe and the panel elements with a predetermined thickness, preferably forming a flat upper terminating surface.

[0012] The plate elements are preferably dimensioned to a thickness that preferably corresponds at least approximately to the outer diameter of the respective pipeline. This allows the covering layer above them to be provided with a uniform thickness.

[0013] These panel elements that fill the gaps are each made of a material such as plastic, rock wool, stone material and / or wood, such as chipboard.

[0014] The invention and further advantages thereof are explained in more detail below using exemplary embodiments with reference to the drawing. It shows: Fig. 1 shows a plan view of a laid serpentine pipeline and plate elements laid between the pipeline sections without the covering layer cast over them in a room; Fig. 2 shows a perspective partial section through a multi-layered floor structure, a covering layer and a partial view of pipe parts of a pipeline and plate elements in a variant; and Fig. 3 shows the partial section through the multi-layered floor structure, the covering layer and a partial view of the pipe parts of the pipeline and the plate elements according to Fig. 2 .

[0015] The Fig. 1 The subfloor 10 shown can be installed in a room 15, which can be a home, office, recreation room, garage, business room, or any other room, or even an outdoor area. The side edges 17, 18 of this room 15 are shown, which can be formed by walls, edges, ledges, closures, or, in the case of doors, by transitions or the like. Likewise, the subfloor 10 can be installed in any external shape and size of this room 15. Such a subfloor is also called a screed in technical terms.

[0016] This subfloor 10 consists of an underfloor heating system 20 laid on a floor structure 14 of the room 15 and at least one covering layer 16. Instead of a heating medium, a cooling medium could also be passed through the underfloor heating system 20, for which water is typically used. The covering layer 16 consists of a material that is liquid in its initial state, which, as mentioned above, is a liquid, viscous mass, or a slurry, for example, liquid concrete, mortar, or the like. This material is normally poured over the entire floor structure 14 of the room 15 and is usually leveled and protrudes with a predetermined thickness above the underfloor heating system 20, preferably forming a flat upper surface 16', onto which ceramic tiles, stone tiles, parquet floors, carpets, or the like are typically laid and secured as required. However, it is not excluded that this end surface 16' could be formed with steps, elevations, bevels, or the like. It is also conceivable that this cover layer 16 could be made of multiple layers of different materials.

[0017] From the Fig. 1 The subfloor 10 shown without an upper covering layer 16 illustrates a floor heating system 20 with a pipe 25 laid in a serpentine manner on the floor structure 14, comprising a number of spaced-apart pipe sections 25a to 25n and pipe parts 26a to 26n connecting the latter. These parallel, spaced-apart pipe sections 25a to 25n each form, in pairs, an intermediate space 27a to 27n, the latter being of uniform design but alternately arranged offset by 180° from one another. Furthermore, external connections 25' of the pipe 25 are provided, which are connected to a heat source directly or via a distribution system, which is not shown in more detail. The pipe 25 can be fixed to the floor structure 14 at specific intervals from one another using clamps or the like.

[0018] According to the invention, a plate element 22, 21a to 21n, 23 is placed in each of the intermediate spaces 27a to 27n of the line sections 25a to 25n and in the two spaces between the outermost line section 25a, 25n and the side edges 18 of the space 15, wherein these plate elements 22, 21a to 21n, 23 and the pipeline 25 are cast over by the covering layer 16 after casting.

[0019] Thus, an approximately filling plate element 22, 21a to 21n, 23 is placed in each of the intermediate spaces 28, 27a to 27n, 29, the latter being inserted with one end 21' close to the respective side edge 17 and with the other end 21" close inside the respective pipe part 26a to 26n. The pipe parts 26a to 26n and the ends 26" are correspondingly rounded, so that there is a uniform distance between them over 180°.

[0020] By inserting the panel elements 22, 21a to 21n, 23 into these gaps 28, 27a to 27n, 29, it is achieved that less of this initially liquid material needs to be used, and that the drying time of this mass forming the covering layer 16 as the material to be cured can be significantly shortened. Thus, the construction or renovation of a building or the replacement of a subfloor or the like can be completed in a shorter period of time.

[0021] These panel elements 22, 21a to 21n, 23, which fill the gaps 28, 27a to 27n, 29, are each made of a material that is advantageously inexpensive, but can, as needed, have better properties than the cover layer 16 with regard to impact or structure-borne sound, thermal insulation, heat conduction, or other properties. Suitable materials include plastics made of Styrofoam, polyurethane, polystyrene, or rock wool, or stones, lightweight sintered stone materials, bricks, and / or wood, such as particleboard, or a combination of these materials.

[0022] The plate elements 22, 21a to 21n, 23 are advantageously each laid all around with a minimum distance a from the surrounding pipeline 25 or from the side edges 17, 18 of the space 15. This minimum distance a between the respective plate element 22, 21a to 21n, 23 and the at least one surrounding pipeline 25 or the side edges 17, 18 of the space 15 is dimensioned such that the cover layer cast therebetween in the initial liquid state remains crack-resistant as a single layer after drying. This minimum distance a between a respective plate element 22, 21a to 21n, 23 and the at least one surrounding pipeline 25 or from the side edges 17, 18 of the space is preferably 0.5 cm to 5 cm in each case. This minimum distance a is preferably the same, but it can be selected to have different thicknesses at the ends 21', 21" of the plate elements compared to the line sections 25a, 25n.

[0023] These spacings, forming the gaps 27a to 27n, between the approximately parallel line sections 25a to 25n of the pipeline 25 are selected to enable a predetermined heating output of the heating medium conveyed through the pipeline 25. These spacings between the line sections and thus the widths of the gaps are each between approximately 10 cm and 30 cm.

[0024] These pipe sections 25a to 25n are laid with equal spacing so that the plate elements 21a to 21n can be pre-produced and inserted with the same lengths and widths.

[0025] Fig. 2 and Fig. 3show part of the floor structure 14 of the room 15, which consists of a concrete floor 11 and two layers 12, 13 made of an insulating material. This floor structure 14 is present on site and can of course be composed differently than shown. On the layer 13, a serpentine pipe 35 and plate elements 31 according to the invention are indicated, the latter being placed in spaces 37 between pipe sections 35' of the pipe 35. The plate elements 31 are also advantageously inserted laterally at the pipe sections 35' of the pipe 35, each with a minimum distance a. Due to the rectangular design of the plate elements, they are each spaced at a varying distance from the surrounding rounded pipe section 35".

[0026] When installed, the pipe 35 and panel elements 31 laid on the floor structure 14 are covered by at least one covering layer of the initially liquid material and are permanently connected to one another. The covering layer 16 is dimensioned according to the SIA standard with a total thickness of at least 50 millimeters, and a portion of it projects over the entire floor area beyond the at least one pipe. As mentioned, it forms a flat upper covering surface 16' on which floor panels, parquet, carpets, plastic flooring, and / or other walkable coverings can be laid and secured as appropriate.

[0027] The plate elements 31 are each dimensioned with a thickness that preferably corresponds at least approximately to the outer diameter of the respective pipeline 35. This outer diameter is typically 20 mm, but can of course also be larger or preferably smaller depending on the application. The plate elements 31 could also be provided with different thicknesses compared to the pipeline. The gaps 37 are preferably 10 cm to 30 cm wide and 1 m to 10 m long.

[0028] The invention is sufficiently illustrated by the exemplary embodiments explained above. However, it could be further illustrated by further variants.

[0029] For example, several pipes could be laid one after the other or interlocking, as is preferably the case in large rooms or when the spaces between them have different widths along their length.

[0030] Of course, several plate elements can also be inserted in a respective intermediate space in a modular manner, for example if the at least one pipeline is not laid with parallel spaced-apart pipe sections, but in such a way that the intermediate spaces deviate from a rectangular shape, for example if the pipeline is laid in a shape approximating a spiral, snail, mushroom or a similar shape.

[0031] These panel elements are characterized by the fact that they can be easily cut to size with different outer contours using a cutting device and inserted into the gaps.

[0032] It is advisable to adhere to the minimum distances a between the slab elements and the surrounding pipes or side edges, as explained above. However, even if these slab elements were installed imprecisely and partially in contact with the pipe or a side edge, a sufficiently secure installation of the subfloor would still be guaranteed.

[0033] However, in certain gaps, no panel element could be inserted, either entirely or partially, for example, if an electrical socket, a plumbing fixture, or similar item is inserted or fitted into a gap. The at least one pipe, as well as the panel elements, could be positioned above the floor using spacers.

[0034] In principle, floor cooling could also be used instead of floor heating, with a cooling medium being pumped through the pipes.
