Abstract

The invention relates to a separation device (10) for separating piece goods, in particular preforms, which have a carrier ring, comprising two guide elements that are arranged parallel to one another and are spaced apart from one another, wherein, between the guide elements, a linear conveying section (F) for the preforms is formed, in which the preforms can be conveyed upright in single file, with the preforms each being suspended from the guide elements by the carrier ring, wherein the separation device has a housing (1) in which the guide elements are arranged, and the housing has at least one access door (11) which is arranged on a lateral wall (13, 131) of the housing and is designed to provide access to an interior of the housing.
