[0034] Figure 1 shows a first embodiment of the roll holder according to the invention. The roll holder 1 consists of a basic module and an top module. The basic module has a base 3 and a vertical core element 5 formed by a rod with a straight part 5A and a helically twisted part 5B, the windings of which are spaced apart and form boundaries 6 of a space 7 extending helically between them, in which space the top module is screwed.

Claims

CLAIMS:

1. Roll holder (1; 21) for easily removing pieces of paper from a paper roll, comprising: a base (3) provided with a base surface (3 a) with which the base (3) can be placed on a surface, as well as a first clamping surface (3b) that faces away from the base surface (3a), a core element (5; 25) over which the paper roll can be arranged and which is attached with one end (25a) to the base (3) on the side of the first clamping surface (3b) and extends perpendicular to the first clamping surface (3b), which core element (5; 25) is provided near the other end (25b) with a space (7; 28) extending helically between boundaries (6), a head piece (9) provided with a second clamping surface (9b) that faces the first clamping surface (3b), a pin (11) that is attached with a first end (1 la) to the head piece (9) on the side of the second clamping surface (9b) and extends perpendicular to the second clamping surface (9b), and a coil spring (15) that is arranged around the pin (11) and is in contact with the head piece (9) with a first end (15a) and is enclosed between the head piece (9) and the core element (5; 25) in such a way that the head piece (9) can be pressed against the spring force towards the core element (5; 25) and thereby reduces the distance between the two clamping surfaces (3b, 9b), characterized in that the roll holder (1; 21) further comprises a sleeve (13) that surrounds the pin (11) and the coil spring (15) and is provided with a helically extending projection (14) that is screwed into the helically extending space (7; 28) between the boundaries (6), whereby the helical spring (15) with a second end (15b) is in contact with an inwardly protruding part (17) of the sleeve (13) arranged on the inside of the sleeve (13) so that the coil spring (15) with the second end (15b) is retained by the protrusion (17).

2. Roll holder (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the core element (5) is constituted by a rod with a straight part (5 A) and a helically twisted part (5B) whose turns are spaced apart and constitute the boundaries (6).

3. Roll holder (1) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the helical projection (14) on the sleeve (13) extends over a winding.

4. Roll holder (1) according to claim 1, 2 or 3, characterized in that a further protrusion (4) is arranged on the clamping surface (3b) of the base (3) at such a distance from the core element (5) that during use the paper roll with its hollow core is arranged over the core element (5) and over the further protrusion (4) and is kept in place by the core element (5) and the further protrusion (4).

5. Roll holder (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the core element is formed by a tube piece (25) over which the paper roll can be arranged, wherein the boundaries and space extending helically between them are formed by internal screw thread (28) on the inside of the tube piece (25), and wherein the helically extending projection on the outside of the sleeve (13) is formed by external screw thread (14).

6. Roll holder (1) according to claim 5, characterized in that the tube piece (5) is divided lengthwise in half and the two parts (27, 29) are connected to each other to enable manufacture of the internal screw thread (28).

Roll holder (1; 21) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the projection (17) is formed by an inwardly extending flange provided with a hole (19) through which the pin (11) extends, wherein the pin (11) has a rectangular cross-section and the hole (19) also has a rectangular shape such that the pin (11) cannot be rotated relative to the sleeve (13).

8. Roll holder (1; 21) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the pin (11) is provided with an outwardly protruding flange (21) at a second end (11b) such that the second end (11b) of the pin (11) does not fit through the sleeve (13).

9. Roll holder (1; 21) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the head piece (9) is provided with a fold-out bracket (23) to enable rotation of the head piece (9).

10. Roll holder (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the base (3) is weighted with a metal ring (25) to give the base more stability.

11. Roll holder (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the first clamping surface (3b) of the base (3) is concave.
