Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Motor vehicle trunk arrangement
[0001] The technical context of the present invention is that of motor vehicles, and in particular of economical vehicles which can be equipped with a removable glass wall. In a complementary manner, the technical context of the present invention is that of narrow, tilting or pendulum vehicles. More particularly, the invention relates to a motor vehicle trunk arrangement.
[0002] To meet the needs of energy saving and respect for the environment, motor vehicle manufacturers are developing economically advantageous motor vehicle models. These motor vehicles are economical due to their dimensions, since they have a width and mass significantly smaller than those of conventional motor vehicles, and due to the fact that they have simplified equipment compared to conventional motor vehicles, in particular being devoid of retractable glass walls by motorized window lift system at the side windows of their passenger compartment. In addition, these motor vehicles combine both practicality of use and limited, or even harmful, emissions of polluting combustion gases when they are particularly hybrid or electric powered.
[0003] These compact motor vehicles generally have three or four wheels and one or two seats at most. They are motorized and tiltable or pendulum, with at least two wheels tilting at the same time as the tilt of the driver's seat. This is the case in particular in document WO2006 / 003489 A1 which describes a vehicle with an electric or hybrid / electric motor, having two tiltable front wheels, and which has a single seat or two seats in tandem. Thanks to its small size and its tiltable wheels, this motor vehicle has the advantage of taking up less space when parked and of being able to easily slip through urban traffic.
[0004] In the state of the art, small-sized motor vehicles are known which are equipped with a removable glass wall. The removable glass wall replaces the retractable glass wall. Less expensive in the manufacture of the motor vehicle, it offers the possibility of partitioning the passenger compartment of the motor vehicle from the outside environment. This removable glass wall is mounted on demand on the motor vehicle, depending on whether or not it is desired to partition the passenger compartment of the motor vehicle from the outside environment, in particular depending on the weather conditions, and / or depending on the sound insulation requirements of the passenger compartment.
[0005] One of the disadvantages of this removable glass wall is that it is necessary to associate a storage solution with it. When it is not used to partition the passenger compartment of the motor vehicle, the removable glass wall must be stored since it is not designed to retract into the body of the motor vehicle. Such a storage solution, separate from the motor vehicle, is disadvantageous for the user of the motor vehicle. The location of assembly and disassembly of said removable glass wall is dictated by the location of the storage solution, and the location of the storage solution may be remote or difficult to access in relation to the needs of the user of the motor vehicle.
[0006] The object of the present invention is to propose a motor vehicle trunk arrangement in order to respond at least to a large extent to the preceding problems and to also lead to other advantages.
[0007] Another object of the invention is to propose a space-saving motor vehicle trunk layout, guaranteeing the compactness and lightness of the motor vehicle.
[0008] Another object of the invention is to propose a motor vehicle trunk arrangement preserving the storage capacities within the trunk of the motor vehicle. This storage must also be secured so that the removable glass wall, which is a relatively fragile element of the motor vehicle, is immobilized in its housing so as to preserve its integrity.
[0009] Another object of the invention is to propose an inexpensive and lightweight motor vehicle trunk layout, so as not to negatively impact the cost of the motor vehicle, which is intended to be economical, or its weight.
[0010] According to a first aspect of the invention, at least one of the aforementioned objectives is achieved with a motor vehicle trunk arrangement, the trunk arrangement comprising (i) a motor vehicle trunk delimited by a floor and two side walls, and (ii) at least one system for fixing a removable glazed wall of the motor vehicle, each fixing system being configured to keep the associated glazed wall pressed against one of the side walls of the trunk.
[0011] The trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention thus takes the form of a compact housing, intended to be accessible at any time and intended to house the glass wall on the motor vehicle. As such, the removable glass wall is excluded from the trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention.
[0012] The trunk is a small storage space intended to equip the rear of a narrow motor vehicle. The trunk is even smaller when the motor vehicle has two seats in tandem and a relatively narrow rear track. The trunk is intended to be integrated into the body of the motor vehicle. More particularly, the trunk is intended to be located at least partly between the two rear wheels of the narrow motor vehicle.
[0013] The two side walls of the trunk extend on either side of the trunk floor, thus delimiting the volume of the trunk. The floor is substantially horizontal when it is fitted to the rear of the motor vehicle. The two side walls are substantially vertical when they are fitted to the rear of the motor vehicle and substantially parallel to each other. The verticality and horizontality are assessed in relation to an installation position of the trunk in the motor vehicle to which it is fitted.
[0014] When the glazed wall is held in abutment against one of the side walls of the trunk, it extends substantially in the same direction as said side wall of the trunk. Thus, the glazed wall stored in the trunk adopts a substantially vertical position. It is assumed that the glazed wall, when held in abutment against one of the side walls of the trunk, is substantially parallel or parallel to said wall of the trunk. By “substantially parallel” it is understood that the side wall in question and the glazed wall may have a non-zero angle of inclination relative to each other, but that the side wall in question and the glazed wall adopt an equivalent direction. This configuration makes it possible to optimize the storage compactness of the glazed wall when the glazed wall is stored in the trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention.
[0015] In a first configuration example, the trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention makes it possible to store the glass wall in an orientation at approximately 90° compared to its position of use for partitioning the passenger compartment, so that the top and bottom of the glass wall are respectively oriented towards the front and rear of the trunk or vice versa. In a second configuration example alternative to the first configuration example, the trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention makes it possible to store the glass wall in an orientation similar to its position of use for partitioning the passenger compartment so that the top and bottom of the glass wall are respectively oriented towards the top and bottom of the trunk or vice versa.
[0016] The fixing system secures the position of the glass wall in the trunk by fixing. The fixing system is intended to effectively hold the glass wall so as to reduce its lateral movements in the trunk which may be caused by vibrations or the movement of the motor vehicle equipped with the trunk arrangement of the motor vehicle according to the first aspect of the invention. The fixing of the glass wall by the fixing system is a removable fixing, so that the glass wall can be (i) either held in the trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention, in particular when it is stored there, during the movement of the motor vehicle, (ii) or free in particular during its installation in the trunk or when it is removed from the trunk.
[0017] The same fixing system can be intended to fix one or two glass walls, depending on its size.
[0018] The motor vehicle trunk arrangement in accordance with the first aspect of the invention advantageously comprises at least one of the improvements below, the technical characteristics forming these improvements being able to be taken alone or in combination:
[0019] - the fixing system comprises (i) a lateral holding member for the glass wall at its lower end; and (ii) a pressure means configured to press the glass wall against the side wall of the trunk. Thus, in the motor vehicle trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention, the fixing system comprises two elements for holding the glass wall in position: the lateral holding member and the pressure means. The lateral holding member is described as lateral because it helps to limit or even prevent lateral movement of the glass wall towards the corresponding side wall of the trunk. In addition, the lateral holding member is located close to the side wall of the trunk against which the glass wall is intended to bear. Thus located, the lateral holding member contributes to the compact storage of the glass wall. When the lateral holding member of the glass wall houses the lower end of the glass wall, it holds the glass wall.The pressure means is configured to press the glass wall against the side wall of the box so that the pressure it exerts on the glass wall is preferably provided in a position distinct from the lower end of the glass wall;
[0020] - the lateral holding member takes the form of a groove which extends longitudinally finally on the floor of the trunk. The groove is intended to allow a user to accommodate the lower end of the glass wall and, as such, it helps to position the glass wall in the storage position in the motor vehicle trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention. It may also be intended to serve as a guide means for reaching the storage position, when the lower end of the glass wall is engaged in the motor vehicle trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention. The groove is dimensioned to accommodate the lower end of the glass wall. The groove extends longitudinally in that it extends from front to back in the trunk. Thus, the groove extends substantially parallel to one and / or the other of the side walls of the trunk;
[0021] - according to a first variant embodiment, the groove is partly or totally rectilinear. The rectilinear groove is intended to accommodate a portion of the lower end of the substantially rectilinear glazed wall. According to a second alternative embodiment or complementary to the first alternative embodiment, the groove is partly or totally curved. The curved groove is intended to accommodate a portion of the lower end of the substantially curved glazed wall;
[0022] - according to a first variant embodiment, the groove is formed by a profile transverse U-shaped. The profile is described as transverse when it is obtained in a plane transverse to a longitudinal plane of the box. Such a transverse U-shaped profile is intended to effectively hold the lower end of the glazed wall so as to reduce its movements in the box. According to a second alternative embodiment to the first alternative embodiment, the groove is formed by one or more sections each having an L-shaped transverse profile and oriented opposite each other. Such an L-shaped profile is intended to serve as a stop to hold the lower end of the glazed wall and reduce its lateral movements in the box. In particular, a combination of two transverse L-shaped profiles oriented opposite each other is intended to effectively hold the lower end of the glazed wall so as to reduce its lateral movements in the box;
[0023] - the groove is reported on the trunk floor or made of material with the trunk floor. When it is made in one piece with the trunk floor, the groove is formed in the trunk floor. By "made in one piece" is meant that, in the motor vehicle trunk layout according to the first aspect of the invention, the groove and the trunk floor cannot be separated from each other without all or part of their integrity being impaired. Thus, in the motor vehicle trunk layout according to the first aspect of the invention, the groove and the trunk floor form an assembly described as monobloc because together they form only one continuous piece, made in one piece and obtained during the same manufacturing process. For example, the groove is molded with the trunk floor.The invention according to the first aspect thus advantageously makes it possible to obtain a prefabricated assembly, the manufacture of which is simplified since it does away with the assembly of the groove and the trunk floor as well as the presence of fixing means between the groove and the trunk floor. Alternatively, when it is an added part, the groove is particularly permanently fixed to the trunk floor;
[0024] - the groove is formed by a plastic material;
[0025] - the groove is delimited by two longitudinal edges, each longitudinal edge comprising a flexible lip at its free end. The flexible lip is intended to come into contact with the glass wall. The flexible lip improves the retention of the lower end of the glass wall of the groove by adhesion, friction, when it is in contact with the glass wall. The two longitudinal edges of the groove are secured by a bottom of the groove. Each longitudinal edge of the groove has one end secured to the bottom of the groove, and a free end opposite it. Advantageously, the two longitudinal edges of the groove and the bottom of the groove are made of material. Advantageously, the flexible lip is an added part on the longitudinal edge. When it is an add-on part, the flexible lip is either permanently fixed or removably fixed on the longitudinal edge of the groove. A removably fixed flexible lip simplifies the disassembly of the flexible lip when it is damaged and needs to be replaced. The flexible lip is for example formed by an elastic material. For example, the flexible lip is formed by a natural or synthetic elastic material, such as rubber. The lip is for example located along the entire length of the groove;
[0026] - the pressure means is configured to exert pressure at a upper end of the glass wall against the side wall of the trunk located opposite. In other words, the pressure means is configured to exert a force towards the side wall of the trunk, the glass wall being intended to be inserted between the pressure means and the side wall of the trunk in order to be held in position against the side wall of the trunk by said pressure means. When the glass wall is stored in the trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention, the side wall of the trunk and the pressure means are located on either side of the glass wall. By applying pressure, the pressure means accentuates the pressing of the glass wall when it is against the side wall of the trunk. The pressure means is intended to effectively hold the upper end of the glass wall against the side wall of the trunk located opposite, so as to reduce its movements in the trunk;
[0027] - the pressure means is located at a distance from the lateral holding member, in particular in a substantially vertical direction. By substantially vertical means that the pressure means and the lateral holding member are arranged one above the other in the trunk, the substantially vertical direction forming an angle of between 80 and 110° with the floor of the trunk;
[0028] - the pressure means is secured to one of the side walls of the trunk or to a more generally, of a wall delimiting the trunk;
[0029] - the pressure means comprises a flexible member at its free end. The flexible member is intended to come into contact with the glass wall. The flexible member improves the holding of the upper end of the glass wall by adhesion, friction, when it is in contact with the glass wall. Advantageously, the flexible member is a part added to the free end of the pressure means. When it is an added part, the flexible member is either permanently fixed or removably fixed to the free end of the pressure means. A removably fixed flexible member simplifies the dismantling of the flexible member when it is damaged and needs to be replaced. The flexible member is for example formed by an elastic material. For example, the flexible member is formed by a natural or synthetic elastic material, such as rubber;
[0030] - the pressure means is of the type of a pivoting lug, the pivoting lug being arranged to be able to take at least one locked configuration in which the pivoting lug bears against the glass wall and exerts on said glass wall a non-zero force in the direction of the side wall of the box located opposite. The non-zero force in the direction of the side wall of the box located opposite is a restoring force of the pivoting lug towards said side wall of the box. Thanks to this restoring force, the pressure means is configured to lock the glass wall against the side wall of the box located nearby;
[0031] - the fixing system comprises a means for longitudinally locking the wall glazed in the lateral holding member. The locking means is longitudinal in that it is configured to prevent the glazed wall from sliding along the groove. In a motor vehicle equipped with the trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention, the longitudinal locking means is configured to prevent the glazed wall from sliding back and forth;
[0032] - the longitudinal locking means takes the form of a stop housed in the groove of the lateral retaining member. The stop projects from one and / or the other of the longitudinal edges of the groove and / or projects from the bottom of the groove. The stop is intended to longitudinally block the glass wall in the groove. For example, the stop is located at a longitudinal end of the groove. For example, the stop is located in the groove opposite an opening in the trunk through which the glass wall is intended to pass to enter and exit the trunk;
[0033] - the stop is attached to the groove or comes from the same material as the groove. By "issue of material" means that, in the motor vehicle trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention, the groove and the stop cannot be separated from each other without damaging all or part of their integrity. Thus, in the motor vehicle trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention, the groove and the stop form an assembly described as monobloc because together they form only one continuous piece, made from a single piece and obtained during the same manufacturing process. For example, the stop is molded with the groove. The invention according to the first aspect thus advantageously makes it possible to obtain a prefabricated assembly, the manufacture of which is simplified since it does away with the assembly of the groove and the stop as well as the presence of fixing means between the groove and the stop.Alternatively, when it is an added part, the stop is permanently fixed in the groove in a particular way; .
[0034] - the fixing system forms a first fixing system located near one of the side walls of the trunk, called the first side wall, and in which the trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention comprises a second fastening system located near one of the side walls of the trunk, called the second side wall, different from the first side wall. The previously given description of the fastening system forming the first fastening system applies mutatis mutandis to the second fastening means, and reference may be made to it for the implementation and understanding of the invention. The trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention comprising the first fastening system and the second fastening system is intended for the storage of two glass walls. The same fastening system is then advantageously intended to fix a single glass wall. The first fastening system and the second fastening system are arranged on either side of the trunk, each near one of the side walls of the trunk, so as to limit their space requirement in the trunk.Thus, the trunk has a free central volume allowing the storage of objects other than the glass walls in the trunk, even when the two glass walls are stored there;
[0035] - the first fastening system and the second fastening system are arranged one relative to each other symmetrically in the trunk, relative to a median plane of said trunk. The first fastening system and the second fastening system are thus arranged mirror-image in the trunk. The median plane of the trunk extends substantially in the same direction as the side walls of the trunk and is equidistant from each of the side walls of the trunk. In a motor vehicle equipped with the trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention, the median plane of the trunk extends from the front to the rear of the motor vehicle.
[0036] According to a second aspect of the invention, there is provided a narrow motor vehicle of the tilting and / or pendulum type comprising (i) a passenger compartment delimited laterally by two removable glazed walls and (ii) a trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention, the trunk of the trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention being housed between two rear wheels of the motor vehicle, dimensions of the trunk making it possible to store one and / or the other of the glazed walls in the trunk by means of the trunk arrangement.
[0037] The motor vehicle according to the second aspect of the invention is a narrow motor vehicle. By "narrow" is meant that the two rear wheels of the motor vehicle are separated by a track less than or equal to 460 mm. The track is a distance between two theoretical points of support on the ground of the two rear wheels considered. By way of non-limiting examples, tricycle vehicles of category L5E or 4-wheel vehicles of this category and of which a front axle or a rear axle has a track less than or equal to 460 mm are part of the narrow vehicles.
[0038] The motor vehicle according to the second aspect of the invention is a motor vehicle of the tilting and / or pendulum type, in the sense that the cabin and the chassis have an angle during a turn, this angle being inclined in the direction of the turn.
[0039] The passenger compartment comprises two openings laterally, corresponding to side windows. The passenger compartment is delimited by the glass walls when the side windows are closed, each removable glass wall being sized to close one of the side windows. Thus, each glass wall offers the possibility of partitioning the passenger compartment of the motor vehicle from the outside environment.
[0040] The glass wall is removable, in the sense that it can be mounted and dismounted on demand on the motor vehicle, depending on whether or not the side window is to be closed, in particular depending on the weather conditions, and / or depending on the sound insulation requirements of the passenger compartment.
[0041] The motor vehicle according to the second aspect of the invention comprises the trunk arrangement as previously described for the first aspect of the invention.
[0042] In the motor vehicle according to the second aspect of the invention, the trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention and its trunk both offer storage solutions integrated into the motor vehicle, at the rear thereof. The trunk arrangement offers a storage solution for one of the glass walls or for both glass walls. The trunk offers an additional storage solution with a central volume allowing the storage of objects other than the glass walls in the trunk, even when both glass walls are stored there.
[0043] In the motor vehicle according to the second aspect of the invention, the trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention is integrated into the body of the motor vehicle. The trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention is dimensioned to be inserted between the rear wheels of the motor vehicle according to the second aspect of the invention. Thus, the trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention has, between the rear wheels, a transverse dimension less than the track of the motor vehicle according to the second aspect of the invention. More particularly, the trunk arrangement has, between the rear wheels, a transverse dimension less than the sum of the track of the motor vehicle and a width of a rear tire.
[0044] The trunk floor of the trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention is substantially horizontal at the rear of the motor vehicle according to the second aspect of the invention. The two side walls are substantially vertical at the rear of the motor vehicle according to the second aspect of the invention. The verticality and horizontality are assessed relative to an installation position of the trunk in the motor vehicle according to the second aspect of the invention.
[0045] In a first example of configuration in the motor vehicle according to the second aspect of the invention, the trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention allows the glass wall to be stored in an orientation at approximately 90° compared to its position on the side window of the passenger compartment, so that the top and bottom of the glass wall are respectively oriented towards the front and the rear of the motor vehicle according to the second aspect of the invention, or vice versa. In a second exemplary configuration alternative to the first exemplary configuration, in the motor vehicle according to the second aspect of the invention, the trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention allows the glass wall to be stored in an orientation similar to its position on the side window of the passenger compartment so that the top and bottom of the glass wall are respectively oriented towards the top and the bottom of the motor vehicle according to the second aspect of the invention, or vice versa.
[0046] The so-called "lower" end of the glazed wall corresponds to the end intended to be held by the lateral holding member. Depending on the orientation given to the glazed wall in the trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention, the "lower" end may be located at the top edge, the bottom edge, the front edge or the rear edge of the glazed wall when the latter is fixed to the side window, the top, the bottom, the front and the rear being assessed relative to the motor vehicle.
[0047] The groove of the lateral holding member of the trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention has a shape complementary to that of the lower end of the glazed wall. When the groove of the lateral holding member of the trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention holds the glazed wall on a part of the lower end or on the entire lower end.
[0048] Various embodiments of the invention are provided, integrating according to all of their possible combinations the different optional characteristics set out here.
[0049] Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description on the one hand, and from several examples of embodiment given for informational and non-limiting purposes with reference to the appended schematic drawings on the other hand, in which:
[0050] [fig. 1] illustrates a schematic side view of a motor vehicle according to the second aspect of the invention and comprising a trunk arrangement according to the first aspect of the invention;
[0051] [fig.2] illustrates a schematic cross-sectional view of the rear of the vehicle at car shown in FIGURE 1;
[0052] [fig.3] illustrates a detailed perspective view of the trunk layout associated with a glass wall of the motor vehicle;
[0053] [fig.4] illustrates a schematic view of a means of pressure of the arrangement of chest.
[0054] Of course, the features, variants and different embodiments of the invention may be combined with each other, in various combinations, provided that they are not incompatible or mutually exclusive. In particular, variants of the invention may be imagined comprising only a selection of features described below in isolation from the other features described, if this selection of features is sufficient to confer a technical advantage or to differentiate the invention from the prior art.
[0055] In particular, all the variants and all the embodiments described can be combined with each other if nothing prevents this combination from a technical point of view.
[0056] In the figures, the elements common to several figures retain the same reference.
[0057] FIGURE 1 and FIGURE 2 illustrate a motor vehicle 1 according to the second aspect of the invention. The motor vehicle 1 according to the second aspect of the invention is narrow, as seen in FIGURE 2, and is of the tilting and / or pendulum type. It is an economical motor vehicle provided with removable glass walls 2.
[0058] FIGURE 1 shows that the glazed walls 2 can each be installed on a pillar 3 of a side window provided in a door 4 of said motor vehicle 1 according to the second aspect of the invention. The front and rear directions are indicated in FIGURE 1 by a first arrow 5 pointing towards the front of the motor vehicle 1, in the direction of a windshield 6, and by a second arrow 7 pointing towards the rear of the motor vehicle 1, in the direction of a trunk 8.
[0059] FIGURE 1 shows that the motor vehicle 1 according to the second aspect of the invention comprises a passenger compartment 9 provided with a seat 10 corresponding to the driving position, at least one front wheel 11 and two rear wheels 12.
[0060] According to a first configuration, called mounted, the glazed wall 2 can be mounted on the pillar 3 of the side windows of the motor vehicle 1. According to a second configuration called dismantled, an alternative to the first configuration, the glazed wall 2 can be detached from its pillar 3 and stored in the motor vehicle 1. The dismantled configuration is illustrated in FIGURE 1 in transparency by dotted lines. In the example of FIGURE 1, the two configurations are simultaneously illustrated to demonstrate the invention.
[0061] It is noted that the glazed wall 2 changes orientation depending on the configurations: when it is mounted on the upright 3 of one of the side windows, then it is oriented in a so-called “landscape” direction for which the largest dimension of the glazed wall 2 is substantially horizontal. On the other hand, when the glazed wall 2 is housed in the trunk 8, then it is oriented there in a so-called “portrait” direction for which the largest dimension of the glass wall 2 is substantially vertical. Thus, in the example illustrated in FIGURE 1, the glass wall 2 is pivoted by approximately 90° to move from the assembled configuration to the disassembled configuration. This arrangement advantageously makes it possible to optimize the storage of the glass wall 2 in the motor vehicle 1 in accordance with the second aspect of the invention.
[0062] In the remainder of the description, it is considered that the glazed wall 2 comprises a lower end 13 and an upper end 14, the qualifiers “lower” and “upper” relating to the dismantled configuration when the glazed wall 2 is housed in the box 8. In the example illustrated in FIGURE 1 and for the assembled configuration of the glazed wall 2, the lower end 13 corresponds to the rear of the glazed wall 2 when it is mounted on its upright 3, and the upper end 14 corresponds to the front of the glazed wall 2 mounted on said upright 3.
[0063] The motor vehicle 1 comprises the passenger compartment 9 and a trunk arrangement 15 in accordance with the first aspect of the invention and in which the glass wall 2 can be stored. Thanks to the trunk arrangement 15, the motor vehicle 1 comprises an on-board storage solution for the glass wall(s) 2. Thus, the assembly and disassembly of the glass wall 2 are made possible at any time. The glass wall 2 can be extracted from the trunk 8 when the user of the motor vehicle 1 wishes to partition the passenger compartment 9. Conversely, the glass wall 2 can be stored in the trunk 8 of the trunk arrangement 15 of the motor vehicle 1 when the user wishes to decompartmentalize the passenger compartment 9.
[0064] FIGURE 2 illustrates the trunk arrangement 15 according to the first aspect of the invention, along a cross-section AA visible in FIGURE 1. The trunk arrangement 15 is seen from the rear of the motor vehicle 1. The trunk arrangement 15 is located between the two rear wheels 12 of the motor vehicle 1. A transverse dimension of the trunk arrangement 15 between the two rear wheels 12 is thus less than a length resulting from the sum of a track 16 between the two rear wheels 12 and a tire width of one of the rear wheels 12. In the exemplary embodiment of a narrow motor vehicle 1 comprising two rear wheels 12 illustrated in FIGURES 1 and 2, the track 16 of the rear wheels 12 is less than or equal to 460 mm, the track 16 being defined as the distance separating two ground support points 17 of the two rear wheels 12 considered.
[0065] The trunk arrangement 15 comprises the trunk 8 and at least one fixing system 18, 19 for a glass wall 2 of the motor vehicle 1. In this case, the trunk arrangement 15 comprises a first fixing system 18 and a second fixing system 19. Each fixing system 18, 19 of the trunk arrangement 15 is configured to hold a glass wall 2 and are arranged symmetrically relative to each other in the trunk 8, relative to a median plane 23 of said trunk 8.
[0066] The trunk 8 of the trunk arrangement 15 of a motor vehicle 1 is delimited by a floor 20 and by a first 21 and a second 22 side wall of the trunk 8. The first side wall 21 of the trunk 8 and the second side wall 22 of the trunk 8 are arranged relative to each other in a symmetrical manner in the trunk 8, relative to the median plane 23 of said trunk 8. The first fixing system 18 is located near the first side wall 21 of the trunk 8, and the second fixing system 19 is located near the second side wall 22 of the trunk 8.
[0067] The trunk 8 of the trunk arrangement 15 of the motor vehicle 1 comprises a central volume 24 allowing the storage of objects other than the glass walls 2 in the trunk 8. It is thus noted that the invention occupies a reduced space in the trunk 8, even when the glass walls 2 are housed therein, the trunk arrangement 15 of the motor vehicle 1 thus optimizing their storage.
[0068] The first fastening system 18 of the trunk arrangement 15 of the motor vehicle 1 is configured to hold the glazed wall 2 associated with it in abutment against the first side wall 21 of the trunk 8. The second fastening system 19 of the trunk arrangement 15 of the motor vehicle 1 is configured to hold the associated glazed wall 2 in abutment against the second side wall 22 of the trunk 8. Thus, even in the presence of the glazed walls 2, the central volume 24 of the trunk 8 is available, the first system 18 and the second 19 fastening system making it possible to press the glazed walls 2 against respectively the first 21 and the second 22 side wall of the trunk 8. When they are stored in the trunk arrangement 15, the glazed walls 2 are then located on either side of the central volume 24 of the trunk 8.
[0069] In the trunk arrangement 15, each fixing system 18, 19 comprises a lateral holding member 25 of the glazed wall 2 and at least one pressure means 26 configured to press the glazed wall 2 against the side wall 21, 22 of the trunk 8.
[0070] The lateral holding member 25 of the fixing system 18, 19 holds the glazed wall 2 at its lower end 13. The lateral holding member 25 of the fixing system 18, 19 takes the form of a groove 27 which extends longitudinally on the floor 20 of the trunk 8. In the example illustrated in FIGURES 2 and 3, this groove 27 of the fixing system 18, 19 is fixed integrally to the floor 20 of the trunk 8. The groove 27 of the fixing system 18, 19 has a transverse U-shaped profile. The transverse U-shaped profile is oriented in such a way that a bottom 28 of the groove 27 of the fixing system 18, 19 is integral with the floor 20 of the trunk 8 and longitudinal edges 29, 30 of the groove 27 of the fixing system 18, 19 are in projection of the floor 20 of the trunk 8, the longitudinal edges 29, 30 of the groove 27 of the fixing system 18, 19 having a free end oriented upwards, and more particularly towards the pressure means 26 of the fixing system 18, 19, the pressure means 26 of the fixing system 18, 19 being located substantially vertically to the lateral holding member 25.
[0071] The pressure means 26 of the fixing system 18, 19 illustrated in FIGURE 2 and FIGURE 4 is of the type of a pivoting lug 33 which produces a non-zero force in the direction of the side wall 21, 22 of the box 8 located opposite, that is to say in the direction of the first side wall 21 in the case of the first fixing system 18 and in the direction of the second side wall 22 in the case of the second fixing system 19.
[0072] The pressure means 26 of the fixing system 18, 19 comprises a free end intended to be placed in contact with the glazed wall 2, and an end fixed to the side wall 21, 22 of the box 8 located opposite the pressure means 26.
[0073] FIGURE 3 illustrates the lateral holding member 25 of the fixing system 18, 19 in the form of a groove 27, according to the cross-section AA visible in FIGURE 1. The groove 27 of the fixing system 18, 19 holds the glazed wall 2 at its lower end 13, illustrated in dotted lines, and this over the entire length of the lower end 13. Thus held, the glazed wall 2 is limited in its lateral movements, which may occur when the motor vehicle 1 moves, vibrates and tilts.
[0074] In the groove 27 of the fixing system 18, 19, each longitudinal edge 29, 30 may comprise a flexible lip 31 located at its free end. The flexible lip 31 extends longitudinally in the groove 27 of the fixing system 18, 19 so as to be arranged inside the groove 27, between the longitudinal edge 29, 30 and the glazed wall 2 when the latter is present. The glazed wall 2 bears against the flexible lip 31, which increases the friction of the groove 27 of the fixing system 18, 19 with the glazed wall 2, so as to reinforce the holding of the glazed wall 2 in said groove 27. In addition, the flexible lip 31 is advantageously formed from a softer material than that of the groove 27 of the fixing system 18, 19, which makes it possible to cushion the contact between the fixing system 18, 19 and the glazed wall 2 so as to preserve the glazed wall 2.
[0075] The fixing system 18, 19 may also comprise a longitudinal locking means 32 for locking the glazed wall 2 in the lateral holding member 25. The longitudinal locking means 32 takes the form of a stop housed in the groove 27 of the fixing system 18, 19. In the example illustrated in FIGURE 3, the longitudinal locking means 32 closes the groove 27 at a terminal longitudinal end of the fixing system 18, 19.
[0076] In the example illustrated in FIGURE 3, the longitudinal locking means 32 and the lateral holding member 25 are made of one material, in the sense that they form a single-piece assembly, the longitudinal locking means 32 and the lateral holding member 25 being produced from the same manufacturing step.
[0077] A trunk arrangement 15 in accordance with the first aspect of the invention comprising a fixing system 18, 19 as illustrated in FIGURE 3 makes it possible, by the association of the longitudinal locking means 32 and the lateral holding member 25, to limit the movements of the glazed wall 2 when it is housed in the trunk 8.
[0078] FIGURE 4 illustrates the pressure means 26 of the fastening system 18, 19. The pressure means 26 of the fastening system 18, 19 is illustrated in solid lines in a locked configuration, and in dotted lines in a raised configuration.
[0079] The pressure means 26 of the fixing system 18, 19 takes the form of a pivoting lug 33, configured to move in rotation around an axis of rotation 34, between the blocked configuration and the raised configuration, as illustrated by a curved double arrow 35.
[0080] In the raised configuration, it is possible to position the glass wall 2 in the trunk arrangement 15, and also possible to remove the glass wall 2 from the trunk arrangement 15.
[0081] In the locked configuration, and in the presence of the glazed wall 2, the pivoting lug 33 bears against the glazed wall 2 at its upper end 14. It exerts on said glazed wall 2 a non-zero force in the direction of the side wall 21, 22 of the box 8 located opposite. For this purpose, a fixed end 36 of the pressure means 26 of the fixing system 18, 19 is cleverly fixed securely to the corresponding side wall 21, 22 of the box 8.
[0082] In the embodiment illustrated in FIGURE 4, the pivoting lug 33 is articulated by a spring system 37 which makes it possible to generate a non-zero return force towards the side wall 21, 22 of the trunk 8.
[0083] The pivoting lug 33 bears against the glass wall 2 at a free end 38 of the pressure means 26 comprising a flexible member 39. The flexible member 39 increases the friction with the glass wall 2 with the pivoting lug 33 thus accentuating its adhesion with the glass wall 2. In addition, the flexible member 39 protects the glass wall 2 from scratches.
[0084] In summary, the invention relates to a trunk arrangement 15 allowing the storage of a removable glass wall 2 intended to equip a narrow motor vehicle 1. The trunk arrangement 15 according to the invention comprises a fixing system allowing at least one glass wall 2 to be temporarily blocked against at least one side wall of the trunk 8. This clever configuration makes it possible to secure the glass wall 2 in the trunk 8 while retaining a large central volume.
[0085] Of course, the invention is not limited to the examples which have just been described and numerous adjustments can be made to these examples without departing from the scope of the invention. In particular, the various features, forms, variants and embodiments of the invention may be combined with each other in various combinations to the extent that they are not incompatible or mutually exclusive. In particular, all the variants and embodiments described above may be combined with each other.
