Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Electronic box support for a motor vehicle
[0001] The technical context of the present invention is that of interior arrangements of motor vehicle hoods, and more particularly of systems for facilitating the arrangement of interior arrangements of motor vehicle hoods in an engine compartment of the motor vehicle. More particularly, the invention relates to an electronic box support for a motor vehicle.
[0002] In current motor vehicles equipped with a hood, the opening of the hood is controlled remotely by an interior hood opening control system. Such a system makes it possible to operate the opening of the hood from a passenger compartment of the motor vehicle.
[0003] In the state of the art, systems for controlling the interior opening of the hood are known, comprising an interior opening cable for actuating, from a passenger compartment of the motor vehicle, an actuating paddle to unlock the hood. The interior opening cable of the interior opening hood control system passes through a bulkhead of the motor vehicle to reach an engine compartment of the motor vehicle and connect the paddle, fixed laterally in an engine compartment of the motor vehicle. In such an interior opening hood control system, the interior opening cable is free and follows a random path between the bulkhead of the motor vehicle and the paddle.
[0004] The disadvantage of this interior hood opening control system is that the interior opening cable is left free in the engine compartment of the motor vehicle. With an interior opening cable that follows a random path, the interior hood opening control can be malfunctioning even before the motor vehicle equipped with it leaves its assembly line. The interior opening cable of the interior hood opening control system can in fact be trapped by other parts mounted consecutively to said cable in the engine compartment of the motor vehicle. When the interior opening cable is trapped, the interior hood opening control system malfunctions, and can even be rendered inoperative if the interior opening cable is damaged or broken. The motor vehicle must then return to the assembly line to unjam, or even replace, the damaged interior opening cable.A malfunction of the interior hood opening control system, even before the motor vehicle equipped with it leaves the assembly line, adversely impacts the production time of the motor vehicle. This has a . economic impact even more negative if the interior opening cable needs to be changed.
[0005] The object of the present invention is to propose a new electronic box support for a motor vehicle in order to respond at least to a large extent to the preceding problems and to further lead to other advantages.
[0006] Another object of the invention is to propose an electronic box support for a motor vehicle configured to be housed in an engine compartment of the motor vehicle.
[0007] Another object of the invention is to propose an electronic box support for a motor vehicle which is compatible with the operation of an interior hood opening cable.
[0008] Another object of the invention is to propose an electronic box support for a motor vehicle which is inexpensive, so as to limit the cost of such an electronic box support compared to existing electronic box supports for motor vehicles.
[0009] Another object of the invention is to provide an electronic box support for a motor vehicle which is reliable in its operation, and as an electronic box support for a motor vehicle.
[0010] Another object of the invention is to provide an electronic box support for a motor vehicle which is universal and configured to adapt to different motor vehicles.
[0011] According to a first aspect of the invention, at least one of the aforementioned objectives is achieved with an electronic box support for a motor vehicle, the electronic box support comprising (i) at least one support face for an electronic card, (ii) a rear face opposite the support face and configured to allow the electronic box support to be fixed to a structural element of the motor vehicle, the rear face comprising several devices for fixing the electronic box support to the structural element, characterized in that the rear face comprises a device for clamping a cable for opening the interior of a hood of the motor vehicle.
[0012] The electronic housing support is intended to be fixed, at its rear face, to the structural element of the motor vehicle. The structural element of the motor vehicle is an element of an engine compartment of the motor vehicle and / or adjacent to an engine compartment of the motor vehicle. For example, the structural element of the motor vehicle is an apron of the motor vehicle delimiting the engine compartment of the motor vehicle.
[0013] The clamping device is configured to hold the interior opening cable of the hood of the motor vehicle. The clamping device is configured to clamp the interior hood opening cable against the rear face of the electronic box support. When installing the interior hood opening cable of the motor vehicle, an operator imposes a path on the interior opening cable by making the interior opening cable and the clamping device cooperate.
[0014] Thus, the inner opening cable of the cover is held against the rear face of the electronic housing support by cooperating with the clamping device. The clamping device allows the inner opening cable to have a defined path along the rear face of the electronic housing support.
[0015] The invention according to its first aspect thus advantageously makes it possible to support, via the front face of the electronic box support according to the invention, an electronic card, while clamping, via the clamping device on the rear face of the electronic box support according to the invention, the inner opening cable of the hood so as to limit its degree of freedom. In particular, the clamping device requires the inner opening cable of the hood to follow a path passing through the clamping device in the motor vehicle equipped with the electronic box support according to the invention.
[0016] The electronic box support for a motor vehicle in accordance with the first aspect of the invention advantageously comprises at least one of the improvements below, the technical characteristics forming these improvements being able to be taken alone or in combination:
[0017] - the clamping device comprises at least one clamping lug configured to hold the inner opening cable of the cover pressed against the rear face of the electronics housing support. At least one clamping lug makes it possible to clamp the inner opening cable of the cover at at least one point. The at least one clamping lug requires the inner opening cable of the cover to follow a path passing through the at least one clamping lug. The clamping lug is a part projecting from the rear face of the electronics housing support according to the invention. The clamping lug is configured to house the inner opening cable of the cover so that the inner opening cable of the cover is held against the clamping lug and the rear face of the electronics housing support and between the clamping lug and the rear face of the electronics housing support.More generally, and according to a first embodiment, the clamping device comprises a plurality of clamping lugs configured to hold the inner opening cable of the cover pressed against the rear face of the electronic housing support. The plurality of clamping lugs makes it possible to clamp the inner opening cable of the cover at several points. The plurality of clamping lugs makes it possible to force the inner opening cable of the cover to follow a path passing through each clamping lug of the plurality of clamping lugs. Each lug of the plurality of clamping lugs is a part projecting from the rear face of the . electronic housing support according to the invention. Each lug of the plurality of clamping lugs is configured to house the inner opening cable of the cover so that the inner opening cable of the cover is held against the clamping lug in question and the rear face of the electronic housing support and between the clamping lug in question and the rear face of the electronic housing support;
[0018] - the clamping lugs are distributed on the rear face of the electrical box support electronics along a curved profile. Clamping lugs distributed along a curved profile allow the interior opening cable to be preserved. In other words, in this configuration of clamping lugs, the interior opening cable is subjected to a minimum of mechanical stresses, in particular bending, whether angular and / or torsional. In a first exemplary embodiment, the curved profile is circular. In a second exemplary embodiment, alternative or complementary to the first exemplary embodiment, along a rectilinear profile. Generally speaking, along a curved profile is curvilinear;
[0019] - the rear face has a groove configured to partially house the cable interior opening of the hood, the clamping lugs being distributed along the groove. The groove makes it possible to protect the interior opening cable of the hood from contact with other parts intended to be mounted in the environment of the electronic box support for a motor vehicle according to the first aspect of the invention, and in particular in an engine compartment of the motor vehicle equipped with the electronic box support. The groove of the rear face is understood as an elongated cavity formed in the rear face of the electronic box support. For example, the groove has a curvilinear transverse profile;
[0020] - each clamping lug takes the form of a cap which extends simultaneously projecting from the rear face and facing the groove. Such a clamping lug is oriented so that an opening of the lug faces the groove of the rear face of the electronic housing support, which secures the plating of the internal opening cable of the cover against the groove;
[0021] - at a free terminal end of the cap, each clamping lug has a protrusion that extends towards the groove. This helps to better retain the inner hood release cable in the groove. The protrusion helps to narrow a gap between the groove and the clamping lug. The protrusion creates a constriction between the groove and the clamping lug, which ensures that the inner hood release cable is held in the clamping lug;
[0022] - according to a second alternative embodiment to the first embodiment, the clamping device comprises a single clamping lug configured to hold the inner opening cable of the cover pressed against the rear face of the electronic box support. This second embodiment makes it possible to reduce the quantity of material used while ensuring the clamping of the inner hood opening cable at a single point. The single clamping lug requires the inner hood opening cable to follow a path passing through the single clamping lug. The single clamping lug is a part projecting from the rear face of the electronics housing support according to the invention. The single clamping lug is configured to house the inner hood opening cable so that the inner hood opening cable is held against the single clamping lug and the rear face of the electronics housing support and between the single clamping lug and the rear face of the electronics housing support;
[0023] - the clamping lug has a transverse C-shaped profile and projects from the face rear of the electronics box support. The C-shaped transverse profile of the clamping lug is obtained in a plane perpendicular to the rear face of the electronics box support. A C-shaped transverse profile of the clamping lug makes it possible to follow the shape of the inner hood opening cable. In particular, for an inner hood opening cable which has a relatively circular transverse profile;
[0024] - in particular, the clamping device comprises a single clamping lug configured to keep the inner opening cable of the hood pressed against the rear face of the electronics housing support, the clamping lug having a transverse C-shaped profile and extending in projection from the rear face of the electronics housing support. This clamping device makes it possible to reduce the quantity of material used while ensuring the clamping of the inner opening cable of the hood at a single point. The single clamping lug requires the inner opening cable of the hood to follow a path passing through the single clamping lug. The single clamping lug is a part projecting from the rear face of the electronics housing support according to the invention.The single clamping lug has a transverse C-shaped profile that is configured to accommodate the inner hood opening cable such that the inner hood opening cable is held against the single clamping lug and the rear face of the electronics housing support and between the single clamping lug and the rear face of the electronics housing support. A transverse C-shaped profile of the clamping lug makes it possible to follow the shape of the inner hood opening cable. In particular, for an inner hood opening cable that has a relatively circular transverse profile. The transverse C-shaped profile of the clamping lug is obtained in a plane perpendicular to the rear face of the electronics housing support; .
[0025] - when the clamping device comprises a single clamping lug configured for keep the inner opening cable of the cover pressed against the rear face of the electronic box support, and when the clamping lug has a transverse C-shaped profile and projects from the rear face of the electronic box support, the clamping lug is located at a depression formed on the face rear of the electronics box support. The depression allows a deviation of the inner opening cable of the hood to be imposed at the level of the clamping lug to better hold said inner opening cable against the rear face of the electronics box support. The depression of the rear face is understood as a localized sagging of the rear face, arranged in the rear face of the electronics box support opposite the clamping lug;
[0026] - the depression has a rectangular shape greater than the dimensions of the lug of clamping. A rectangular shape larger than the dimensions of the clamping lug secures the retention of the interior opening cable by the clamping device while facilitating the deflection of the interior opening cable of the hood at the clamping device and minimizing the bending forces of the interior opening cable between the clamping lug and the depression;
[0027] - the clamping lug has a clamping face for the inner opening cable of the hood, the clamping face being located opposite the depression, the clamping face extending at most between the depression and the rear face. In other words, the clamping face of the clamping lug extends mainly below the rear face of the electronic housing support, and more particularly in the direction of the depression, so that the interior hood opening cable is clamped more firmly between the depression and the clamping face;
[0028] - the support is formed by a plastic material;
[0029] - the support is obtained by molding. This industrial forming process allows also to obtain at low cost a large number of identical units by repeating the use of the same mold.

[0058] With reference to FIGURES 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7, the rear face 22 of the electronic box support 12 comprises several devices 23 for fixing the electronic box support 12 to the bulkhead 7 of the motor vehicle 1. In this case, the devices 23 for fixing the electronic box support 12 to the bulkhead 7 of the motor vehicle 1 are formed of tabs 24. Each tab 24 projects from the rear face 22, an orifice 25 being provided in each tab 24 of the fixing device 23. The orifice 25 cooperates with a threaded rod with a head 26, of the bolt type as shown in FIGURES 2, 3 and 4.
[0059] FIGURES 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 show that, in accordance with the invention, the rear face 22 of the electronic box support 12 comprises the clamping device 15 of the internal opening cable 14.
[0060] According to the first embodiment of the invention illustrated in FIGURES 2, 3 and 4, the electronics housing support 12 according to the first aspect of the invention has an arcuate conformation. FIGURES 2 and 4 show that the electronics housing support 12 extends in a quarter circle between two edges 46 of the electronics housing support 12 extending relatively perpendicular to each other.
[0061] The rear face 22 comprises a curved peripheral edge 27. In particular, FIGURE 3 shows that the rear face 22 of the electronics housing support 12 has a stepped radial profile 44 which projects behind the electronics housing support 12 and relative to the bearing face 21.
[0062] The clamping device 15 illustrated in FIGURES 2, 3 and 4 comprises a plurality of clamping lugs 28 configured to keep the opening cable 14 pressed in inner face of the cover 3 against the rear face 22 of the electronic box support 12. In this case, the clamping device 15 comprises two clamping lugs 28.
[0063] One of the two clamping lugs 28 is shown enlarged in a box 300 in FIGURE 3. Each clamping lug 28 projects from the peripheral edge 27 of the rear face 22. The same applies to the tabs 24 of the fixing device 23 of the electronic box support 12 on the bulkhead 7 of the motor vehicle 1.
[0064] The clamping lugs 28 are distributed on the rear face 22 of the electronics box support 12 along a circular profile 40 illustrated in dotted lines in FIGURE 2. The circular profile 40 follows the curved conformation of the electronics box support 12, and in particular the curved peripheral edge 27 of the rear face 22. In this case, the clamping lugs 28 are between two tabs 24 of the fixing device 23 of the electronics box support 12 on the bulkhead 7 of the motor vehicle 1.
[0065] Box 300 in FIGURE 3 shows that the rear face 22 has a groove 29 configured to partially house the cable 14 for internally opening the hood 3. The clamping lugs 28 are distributed along the groove 29. The groove 29 of the rear face 22 is formed at the peripheral edge 27 of the rear face 22 and follows its curvature.
[0066] Each clamping lug 28 takes the form of a cap 41, visible in box 300 of FIGURE 3. The clamping lug 28 comprises a front surface 30 which is intended to be located opposite the internal opening cable 14, the front surface 30 being opposite a rear surface 31, two lateral surfaces 32 each connecting the front surface 30 to the rear surface 31, a free terminal end 33 and a terminal end 34 opposite the free terminal end 33. In the clamping lug 28, the front surface 30 and the rear surface 31 are flat and rectangular.
[0067] The clamping lug 28 in the form of a cap 41 extends simultaneously projecting from the rear face 22 and facing the groove 29. At the free terminal end 33 of the clamping lug 28, a protrusion 35 extends towards the groove 29. The protrusion 35 extends over the free terminal end 33 from one of the lateral surfaces 32 to the other. The protrusion 35 has a homogeneous profile with softened angles to preserve the integrity of the internal opening cable 14 and facilitate its insertion into the clamping lug 28.
[0068] FIGURE 4 shows that the clamping lug 28 holds the internal opening cable 14 in the groove 29, in order to force it to follow a path matching the groove 29. Thus pressed against the rear face 22 of the electronic box support 12, the internal opening cable 14 avoids any jamming at the level of its first part 18 connected to the pallet 10 and to the support 9 of pallet 10.
[0069] According to the second embodiment of the invention illustrated in FIGURES 6 and 7, the electronic housing support 12 according to the first aspect of the invention has a straight conformation, in the sense that it is formed of a support face 21 and a rear face 22, both flat and bordered by straight edges 36.
[0070] The clamping device 15 illustrated in FIGURES 6 and 7 comprises a single clamping lug 28 configured to hold the cable 14 for opening the interior of the cover 3 pressed against the rear face 22 of the electronic box support 12.
[0071] A box 400 of FIGURE 7 shows that, in the clamping lug 28, the front surface 30 and the rear surface 31 are rectangular and curved, and the side surfaces 32 are flat and describe a C-shape. The clamping lug 28 thus has a transverse C-shaped profile. The free terminal end 33 of the clamping lug 28 extends towards an upper part 37 of the electronics housing support 12, the upper part 37 being visible in FIGURE 6. The free terminal end 33 of the clamping lug 28 is hemmed. Such a free terminal end 33 of the clamping lug 28 protects the cable 14 for internally opening a hood 3 of the motor vehicle 1 from friction during its insertion into said clamping lug 28.
[0072] Box 400 of FIGURE 7 illustrates the clamping lug 28 extending in a projecting manner from the rear face 22 of the electronics housing support 12. In this case, the clamping lug 28 extends in a projecting manner at a depression 38 formed on the rear face 22 of the electronics housing support 12. The clamping lug 28 is centered in the depression 38. The depression 38 is rectangular in shape and has dimensions greater than the clamping lug 28. In this case, the depression 38 occupies on the rear face 22 of the electronics housing support 12, an area at least five times greater than that of the clamping lug 28.
[0073] A prismatic bearing surface 45 extends from the depression 38 towards the rear surface 31. The prismatic bearing surface 45 mechanically reinforces the clamping lug 28.
[0074] The clamping lug 28 comprises a clamping face 39 for the cable 14 for internally opening the hood 3. The clamping face 39 is located opposite the depression 38, the clamping face 39 extending at most between the depression 38 and the rear face 22. In this case, the clamping face 39 is included in the front surface 30.
[0075] In summary, the invention relates to an electronic box support 12 comprising a clamping device 15 for a cable 14 for internally opening a hood 3 of a motor vehicle 1.
