Description

Title of the invention: Parquet blade comprising a removable interlocking assembly system Technical field

[0001] The present invention relates to a parquet strip comprising a removable interlocking assembly system. State of the art

[0002] There are different types of parquet known in the industry such as laminated parquet and solid parquet.

[0003] Solid parquet flooring has many advantages over other existing types of parquet flooring.

[0004] Solid parquet, for example, has superior aesthetic properties and is also more resistant to moisture. It also has a longer lifespan.

[0005] Each type of parquet flooring corresponds to one or more installation techniques adapted according to the type of parquet flooring and the thickness of the parquet strips. Among the possible parquet installation techniques, we can cite a nailed installation in which the parquet strips are nailed to joists resting on a continuous or discontinuous support, a glued installation in which the parquet strips are glued to a continuous support, and finally a floating installation in which the parquet strips are laid on a continuous support without any means of connection other than the contact established by the weight of a parquet strip. To date, only laminated parquet strips are compatible with a floating installation.

[0006] For the installation of solid parquet, one can use nailed installation or glued installation. The parquet strips are then either nailed onto joists or glued with parquet glue. Nailed installation can be difficult to implement since it requires the installation of joists, for example, as well as suitable equipment. Glued installation, although simpler to implement, is non-reversible and results in the destruction of the parquet when it must be removed when a building reaches the end of its life, for example. If they are installed in this way, the parquet floors are not reusable. The carbon stored in the parquet strips during the parquet's lifetime is therefore released at the end of its life. It will then be necessary to mobilize forest resources once again to manufacture new parquet strips.

[0007] Easy-to-implement and reversible parquet assembly solutions have been devised in order to obtain removable and reusable parquet slats in order to reduce the ecological impact and limit manufacturing costs.

[0008] Document EP2843154B1 describes, for example, a solution for assembling reversible parquet slats comprising an active locking system comprising a movable locking element. However, the system described in document EP2843154B1 requires an additional locking element for assembling parquet and consequently a higher manufacturing cost.

[0009] Document EP 2 524 091 B1 also describes a reversible floor panel assembly but comprising an additional deformable locking element and therefore presenting a higher manufacturing cost.

[0010] The technical problem underlying the invention then consists of providing an assembly of removable and reusable parquet slats which is of simple structure, economical and has low ecological impact. General Description

[0011] For this purpose, the present invention relates to a parquet strip comprising a first main surface intended to form a visible surface and a second main surface opposite the first main surface and intended to bear on a support, a first front edge and a second front edge, the first front edge being arranged to cooperate with a second front edge of another parquet strip, the first front edge comprising a first front wall and a tongue extending from the first front wall towards a distal end opposite the first front wall, the tongue comprising a first concave bearing surface arranged on a first side of the tongue, a second bearing surface arranged on a second side of the tongue opposite the first side, the second bearing surface being extended towards the distal end of the tongue by a rounded portion, the second front edge comprising a second front wall having a groove defining an opening and an inner wall extending from a first end of the opening, the inner wall comprising a first convex bearing surface disposed on a first side of the opening, a bottom surface and a second bearing surface disposed on a second side of the opening disposed opposite the first side and extending to a second end of the opening; , the width of the opening of the groove being equal to the distance between the first bearing surface of the tongue and the rounding increased by a functional clearance dimensioned so that the ratio of the distance between the first bearing surface of the tongue and the rounding to the width of the opening of the groove is substantially between 0.7 and 0.99. the length of the tongue considered between the first front wall and one end of the tongue arranged on the tongue opposite the first front wall being less than the depth of the groove considered between the opening of the groove and the bottom wall of the groove. The parquet strip may also have one or more of the following characteristics, taken alone or in combination.

[0012] The ratio between the length of the tongue and the depth of the groove can for example be between 0.6 and 0.9.

[0013] The ratio of the distance between the first main surface and a first tongue end disposed on the first bearing surface of the tongue at the intersection between the first bearing surface of the tongue and the first front wall to the distance between the first main surface and a second tongue end disposed on the second bearing surface of the tongue at the intersection between the second bearing surface of the tongue and the first front wall may be between 0.5 and 0.7.

[0014] According to one possibility, the parquet strip comprises a chamfer arranged on the other side of the rounding relative to the second bearing surface of the tongue.

[0015] The chamfer may have an angle of inclination relative to an insertion axis of between 10 degrees and 45 degrees.

[0016] Advantageously, the value of the inclination angle between 10 degrees and 45 degrees facilitates the fitting of the tongue into the groove.

[0017] The second bearing surface of the tab may be configured to be substantially planar.

[0018] According to one embodiment, the parquet strip further comprises a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge of the parquet strip arranged opposite the first lateral edge, the first lateral edge comprising a first rim extending along a plane of the parquet strip and an anchoring stop extending from the rim in a direction transverse to a plane of the parquet strip, the second lateral edge comprising a second rim extending in the plane of the strip and an anchoring cavity arranged in the second rim, said anchoring cavity being of a shape complementary to the anchoring stop and intended to receive the anchoring stop of a neighboring parquet strip.

[0019] According to one embodiment, the first edge comprises a surface arranged in the extension of the first main surface of the parquet strip, and the second edge comprises a surface arranged in the extension of the second main surface of the parquet strip.

[0020] According to one embodiment, the anchoring stop and the anchoring cavity have a triangular shape.

[0021] The tongue may have a bearing point arranged in the direction of the distal end of the tongue relative to the first bearing surface of the tongue, and the inner wall of the groove has a stop surface arranged in the extension of the first bearing surface of the groove, the bearing point being configured to abut the abutment surface of a neighboring parquet strip when the tongue is inserted into the groove.

[0022] According to one possibility, the first bearing surface of the tongue is arranged to slide on the first bearing surface of the groove of a neighboring parquet strip between: - an initial sliding position in which the support point belongs to a plane of the opening; and - a final sliding position in which the fulcrum is in contact with the stop surface.

[0023] According to one embodiment, the sliding path is curved and defined by the first bearing surface.

[0024] The second bearing surface of the tongue may be arranged to bear on the second bearing surface of the groove.

[0025] Advantageously, the sliding movement of the tongue in the groove makes it possible to avoid breaking the tongue when it is subjected to a significant distributed load, for example of a value substantially equal to 500daN / m2 and to a significant concentrated load, for example of a value substantially equal to 700daN.

[0026] Advantageously, the sliding movement of the tongue in the groove is reversible and results in two parquet strips being removable and reusable, thus constituting a non-fixed assembly after the two parquet strips have been fitted together. Brief description of the figures

[0027] The invention will be better understood with the aid of the detailed description which is set out below with reference to the appended drawings in which:

[0028] [Fig. 1] is a perspective view of a parquet strip having a first front edge and a second front edge, the first front edge being arranged to cooperate with a second front edge of another parquet strip.

[0029] [Fig.2] is a sectional view of the first front edge of the parquet strip of the [Fig.l].

[0030] [Fig.3] is a sectional view of the second front edge of the parquet strip of [Fig.l].

[0031] [Fig.4] is a front view of the second front edge of the parquet strip of the [Fig.l] showing an anchor stop and an anchor cavity. Detailed description

[0032] In the detailed description which follows of the figures defined above, the same elements or the elements fulfilling identical functions may retain the same references so as to simplify the understanding of the invention.

[0033] The invention relates to a parquet strip 1 shown in [Fig.l] and comprising a first main surface 5 intended to form an apparent surface exposed to the steps of a user of the parquet for example and a second main surface 5' opposite the first main surface 5 and intended to rest on a support such as the floor of a house for example.

[0034] The parquet strip also comprises a first front edge 2 which can also be called a male part and a second front edge 3 which can also be called a female part, the first front edge 2 being arranged to cooperate with a second front edge 3 of another parquet strip, in other words to produce a male-female assembly by fitting a male part of a parquet strip with a female part of another parquet strip, the fitting being advantageously reversible.

[0035] The first front edge 2 comprises a first front wall 28, 21 and a tab 6 extending from the first front wall 28, 21 towards a distal end opposite the first front wall 28, 21.

[0036] [Fig. 2] shows a sectional view of the first front edge 2 in which the tongue 6 comprises a first concave bearing surface 27 arranged on a first side of the tongue 6, a second bearing surface 22 arranged on a second side of the tongue opposite the first side, the second bearing surface 22 being able to be configured to be substantially planar and being able to be extended in the direction of the distal end 26 of the tongue by a rounded portion 23. The parquet strip may also comprise a chamfer 24 arranged on the other side of the rounded portion 23 relative to the second bearing surface 22 of the tongue 6.

[0037] According to one possibility, the chamfer 24 has an angle of inclination relative to an insertion axis B ([Fig.2]) of between 10 degrees and 45 degrees.

[0038] According to one possibility, the chamfer 24 can be replaced by a curved edge connecting the rounded portion 23 to one end of the tongue 25.

[0039] The second front edge 3 shown in [Fig. 3] comprises a second front wall 11, 16 having a groove 7 defining an opening and an inner wall extending from a first end of the opening 18. The groove 7 may extend longitudinally over the entire length of the parquet strip 1 along a plane of the parquet strip 1.

[0040] The inner wall comprises a first convex bearing surface 15 arranged on a first side of the opening, a bottom surface 13 and a second bearing surface 12 disposed on a second side of the opening disposed opposite the first side and extending to a second end of the opening 19.

[0041] The parquet strip described may be remarkable in that the width W of the opening of the groove 7 which is visible in [Fig. 3] is equal to the distance between the first bearing surface 27 of the tongue 6 and the rounded portion 23 increased by a functional clearance dimensioned so that the ratio of the distance between the first bearing surface 27 of the tongue 6 and the rounded portion 23 to the width of the opening W of the groove 7 is substantially between 0.7 and 0.99., and in that the length L of the tongue 6 shown in [Fig. 2] and considered between the first front wall 28, 21 and the end of the tongue 25 arranged on the tongue 6 opposite the first front wall 21, 28 is less than the depth P of the groove considered between the opening of the groove and the bottom surface 13 of the groove 7. This results in that the end of the tab 25 may not be in contact with the bottom surface 13.

[0042] The functional clearance and the fact that the length L of the tongue 6 is less than the depth P of the groove promotes the reversibility of the interlocking of two parquet strips.

[0043] The ratio between the length L of the tongue 6 and the depth P of the groove 7 can for example be between 0.6 and 0.9.

[0044] The ratio of the distance between the first main surface 5 and a first end X of tongue 6 arranged on the first bearing surface 27 of the tongue 6 at the intersection between the first bearing surface 27 of the tongue 6 and the first front wall 28, 21 to the distance between the first main surface 5 and a second end Y of tongue 6 arranged on the second bearing surface 22 of the tongue 6 at the intersection between the second bearing surface 22 of the tongue 6 and the first front wall 28, 21 may be between 0.5 and 0.7.

[0045] The parquet strip 1 may further comprise a first lateral edge 4 which comprises a first rim extending along a plane of the parquet strip and an anchoring stop 9 extending from the rim in a direction transverse to a plane of the parquet strip as shown in [Fig. 4]. The first rim may comprise a surface arranged in the extension of the first main surface 5 of the parquet strip 1 also visible in [Fig. 4].

[0046] The parquet strip 1 may also comprise a second lateral edge 8 shown in [Fig. 4] and arranged opposite the first lateral edge 4, the second lateral edge 8 comprising a second rim extending in the plane of the strip. The second rim may comprise a surface arranged in the extension of the second main surface 5' of the parquet strip 1.

[0047] An anchoring cavity 10 may be provided in the second edge, said anchoring cavity 10 being of a shape complementary to the anchoring stop 9 and intended to receive the anchoring stop 9 of a neighboring parquet strip.

[0048] According to one embodiment, the anchoring stop 9 and the anchoring cavity 10 have a triangular shape like that of [Fig.4] for example.

[0049] Indeed, when two parquet strips are fitted together, the tongue 6 of the parquet strip 1 may possibly undergo a translational movement by sliding within the groove 7 of a neighboring parquet strip. To overcome this drawback, the invention provides that the anchoring stop 9 of the parquet strip 1 is inserted into the anchoring cavity 10 of a neighboring parquet strip as an additional fixing means, so as to block such a translational movement.

[0050] The tongue 6 may have a support point 26 arranged in the direction of the distal end of the tongue relative to the first support surface of the tongue.

[0051] The inner wall of the groove has a stop surface 14 arranged in the extension of the first bearing surface 15 of the groove.

[0052] The fulcrum 26 can be configured to come into abutment on the abutment surface 14 of a neighboring parquet strip when the tongue 6 is inserted into the groove 7.

[0053] According to one possibility, the first bearing surface 27 of the tongue is arranged to slide on the first bearing surface 15 of the groove of a neighboring parquet strip along a sliding path which can be curved and defined by the first bearing surface 15 between: - an initial sliding position in which the support point 26 belongs to a plane of the opening; and - a final sliding position in which the support point 26 is in contact with the stop surface 14.

[0054] Thus, a back and forth movement of the tongue 6 between the initial sliding position and the final sliding position can take place when it is inserted into the groove 7.

[0055] The second bearing surface 22 of the tongue 6 of [Fig.2] can be arranged to come into contact with the second bearing surface 12 of the groove 7 of [Fig.3].

[0056] The first front wall 28, 21 and the second front wall 11, 16 may not be in permanent contact when the parquet strip 1 is fitted into a neighboring parquet strip due to the presence of the functional clearance and the fact that the length L of the tongue 6 is less than the depth P of the groove 7.

[0057] Advantageously, the sliding movement of the tongue 6 in the groove 7 makes it possible to avoid breaking the tongue 6 when the latter is subjected to a significant distributed load, for example of a value substantially equal to 500daN / m2. and to a significant concentrated load, for example of a value substantially equal to 700daN.

[0058] Advantageously, the value of the angle of inclination of the chamfer 24 relative to the insertion axis B between 10 degrees and 45 degrees facilitates the fitting of the tongue 6 into the groove 7.

[0059] Advantageously, the sliding movement of the tongue 6 in the groove 7 is reversible and results in two parquet strips being removable and reusable, thus constituting a non-fixed assembly after the two parquet strips have been fitted together. In other words, in the medium and long term, two parquet strips can be separated to cooperate again on another support.

[0060] Advantageously, two adjacent parquet strips can be assembled so as to withstand natural deformations of the wood depending on the humidity of the ambient air, such as a variation in the width of the parquet strip of 0.15% for a variation in humidity of 1%, while remaining integral and therefore allowing the parquet to be installed without parquet glue or any other assembly component. The fact of not using parquet glue or any assembly component results in the parquet strips being easily removable and consequently in the installation of the parquet becoming reversible and with a low environmental footprint.

[0061] Although the invention has been described in connection with particular examples of embodiment, it is quite obvious that it is in no way limited thereto and that it includes all the technical equivalents of the means described as well as their combinations if these fall within the scope of the invention.
