The invention relates to a public transport vehicle (10), in particular a railway vehicle, comprising a disinfection system, the disinfection system comprising disinfectant wavelength lighting on board said vehicle (10), the lighting comprising at least one disinfectant wavelength lighting device (12, 14), the lighting being configured to automatically disinfect the interior of said vehicle, the vehicle being characterized in that said lighting is automatically and centrally controlled by a control and monitoring system (22) of said vehicle (10).
