Abstract
Description
Description Title of the invention: Secure storage element The present invention relates to a secure object storage element. Currently, some vehicles transport objects, such as parcels, mail or items ordered online, in order to deliver them to identified customers, along a pre-established route. Thus, the driver at the wheel of his vehicle will carry out a tour during which he will: -go to a customer at a specific address, -stop his vehicle at the said address, - open a storage element of said vehicle in order to seize the object to be delivered to said customer, -close the said storage element, before moving away from the vehicle to deliver the selected object by hand. While the driver delivers the item to the corresponding customer, his vehicle, which is no longer monitored, remains at the mercy of a malicious individual, who could then break into the vehicle's storage element to steal the other items intended for other customers. Indeed, this malicious individual could easily track the vehicle's route as well as the driver's habits when delivering an item to a customer. In this way, when the driver is away from his vehicle, this individual could have enough time to force the storage element to steal the items inside. In the same way, an immovable storage element for objects, located in a specific location in a city and accessible to all, for example against the wall of an establishment or in a square in this city, can also arouse the covetousness of malicious individuals due to the presence of objects in said storage element not yet removed by customers. Indeed, this storage element, which is not under permanent surveillance, could give bad ideas to these malicious individuals. An object storage element according to the invention is provided with a judicious closing element making said storage element tamper-proof with usual tools or commercial objects. The invention relates to an element for storing objects delimited by a first sliding shutter and a second sliding shutter situated in the same vertical plane, said first shutter being capable of being translated horizontally between a closed position in which it is in contact with the second shutter and a variable open position in which it has moved away from the second shutter while remaining in the same plane as the latter, characterized in that: -the second shutter has a horizontal main strike plate and the first shutter has a lock provided with a bolt capable of being moved in translation along a vertical axis between a locking position for which said bolt is engaged in the main strike plate and an unlocking position for which it has been translated upwards to come out of said main strike plate, said main strike plate having a lower base capable of retaining the bolt following its fall caused by forced and unlawful intervention on the lock, and -the main latch is pivotally mounted between the horizontal position and a vertical position, an upper rod and a lower rod being rotatably mounted on the main latch so that, when the main latch is in the horizontal position, the upper rod is engaged in an upper secondary latch of the storage element and the lower rod is engaged in a lower secondary latch of said storage element to block the second shutter in translation, and when the main latch is placed in the vertical position, said two rods move to disengage from their respective secondary latches, so as to allow the second shutter to be able to be translated in the same plane as the first shutter. For this configuration, a storage element according to the invention has a three-point locking system through: - a bolt which engages in the main strike plate, preventing any separation between the first shutter and the second shutter, and - an upper rod rotatably mounted on the main striker and interacting with an upper secondary striker of the storage element, and - an upper rod rotatably mounted on the main striker and interacting with a lower secondary striker of the storage element. The rods can only be operated if the bolt has been previously disengaged from the main strike. Indeed, once the bolt has been removed from the main strike, the first shutter can be moved away from the second shutter, which is fixed in a closed position thanks to the two rods. As the main strike projects horizontally into the space created between the first open shutter and the second closed shutter, it is manually rotated by 90° so as to no longer constitute a dangerous protrusion in this space. It is then in a stowed position in which it extends vertically without extending beyond the second shutter. The movement of the main strike from the horizontal position to the vertical position causes the two rods to move, which then disengage from their respective secondary strike. The second shutter is then free to move in translation in the same plane as that of the first shutter. In addition to locking the bolt to prevent any relative movement between the two shutters, the main strike plate also acts as a . operating handle for controlling the movement of the two rods. The direction of movement of the bolt is perpendicular to the direction of movement of the first shutter. Once the bolt of the lock has been engaged in the strike plate by means of a vertical movement, it prevents any relative horizontal translation between the first shutter and the second shutter. In addition, if a malicious individual wanted to gain access to the contents of the storage element by breaking and entering while the bolt is in the locking position, he would act on the lock and would, in the best case scenario, cause the bolt to fall, the vertical travel of which would be stopped by the lower bottom of the horizontal strike plate. This lower bottom of the horizontal strike plate helps to keep the bolt in a locking position while it is detached from the lock. Therefore, even if the bolt were to be detached from the lock following unlawful intervention by a malicious individual, said bolt would still remain in the locked position and would prevent this individual from accessing the interior of the storage element. Advantageously, the lock, the bolt and the strike plate are positioned inside the storage element and are therefore not visible from the outside of it, forcing a potential thief to act without visibility on these different parts to try to open said storage element. The term "variable opening position" means that there is not just one opening position. A person authorized to access the interior of the storage element will open the first flap more or less depending on the size of the object to be removed from the storage element.A secure storage element according to the invention may, for example, be represented by a transport box intended to be mounted in a vehicle, or a storage building attached to a wall of a building. Preferably, the two rods are similar to rectilinear rods. According to a possible feature of the invention, the upper rod and the lower rod extend vertically and are pivotally mounted on the main striker so that a change in position of the main striker causes a vertical translation of said two rods. In this way, the two rods can slide along their longitudinal axes, without requiring a large clearance space in a direction which is perpendicular to this sliding direction. According to a possible characteristic of the invention, rotating the main striker to move from the horizontal position to the vertical position causes a downward vertical translation of the upper rod and an upward vertical translation of the lower rod. In the same way, rotating the main striker to move from the vertical position to the horizontal position causes a downward vertical translation of the lower rod and an upward vertical translation of the upper rod. According to a possible characteristic of the invention, an end zone of the latch main has an opening through which passes an axis of rotation secured to the second shutter, the pivoting connection of the upper rod being located above the opening and being offset to one side thereof, being close to an end edge of said end zone, and the pivoting connection of the lower rod being located below said opening, being offset to the other side thereof and being away from said end edge. The pivoting connections of the two rods on the main strike are placed on either side of the axis of rotation of said main strike, the pivoting connection of the upper rod being placed above said axis of rotation and the pivoting connection of the lower rod being placed below it. According to a possible characteristic of the invention, the upper rod consists of a rod having a lower end carrying an axis extending perpendicular to said rod and passing through an upper opening of the end zone of the main striker, the lower rod consisting of a rod having an upper end carrying an axis extending perpendicular to said rod and passing through a lower opening of the end zone of the main striker. The upper opening is placed above the opening through which the axis of rotation of the main striker passes, and the lower opening is placed below the opening through which said axis of rotation passes. According to a possible characteristic of the invention, the main latch is pivotally mounted around a projecting axis of a support base which is secured to the second flap, a magnet being secured to said base to interact with the main latch in order to keep it in the vertical position. This base, which is advantageously flat and of small thickness, constitutes an extra thickness for the second flap. Once the main latch has pivoted 90° to extend vertically, it will be attracted by the magnet and will therefore come into contact with it. This magnet acts as a means of locking the main latch when the latter extends vertically. This magnet is of small size so as not to significantly encroach on the storage space inside the storage element. According to a possible characteristic of the invention, a lug projects from the support base by being inserted into an arcuate slot of the main striker, said lug serving to guide the rotational movement of the main striker to move from the horizontal position to the vertical position. This lug placed in the arcuate slot of the main striker serves as a guide element to ensure precise and repetitive rotation of the main striker around its axis of rotation. Preferably, the axis of rotation of the striker and the lug are parallel. According to a possible characteristic of the invention, the lug and the axis of rotation are parallel and project perpendicularly from the support base. According to a possible characteristic of the invention, the lower bottom of the main strike plate is in the form of a folded edge of said main strike plate against which the bolt rests when the latter is detached from the lock and falls downwards by inertia. When the bolt is about to be detached from the lock following fraudulent manipulation, it will logically fall downwards under the effect of its own weight. It will barely have had time to move when it will be stopped by the folded lower edge of the strike plate. The lower bottom acts as a stop intended to stop the downward travel of the bolt, in order to maintain said bolt in a locking position in the main strike plate. According to a possible characteristic of the invention, the second shutter is mounted to slide between a closed position in which it is in contact with the first shutter when said first shutter is in the closed position, and a variable open position in which it has moved away from said first shutter. Once the second shutter has been unlocked, it can be manipulated independently of the first shutter. Indeed, it can thus be in the closed or variable open position, while the first shutter is in the closed or variable open position. A storage element according to the invention has the advantage of having a three-point locking system, which is a guarantee of robustness and reliability. As long as the bolt is not removed from the main strike, the two shutters will remain firmly fixed in their closed position, in particular thanks to the two locking rods. In addition, it has the advantage of being secured by means of a lock of simple but judicious design, involving mechanical parts having usual geometries, and which are therefore easy to manufacture. This storage element also has the advantage of having a main closing strike which is retractable, making it possible to eliminate any risk of injury for a person authorized to handle said storage element, and / or any risk of snagging with goods which would be in the process of being removed from this storage element. Finally, it has the advantage of having an activation device for the two rods which is represented by the main latch, which is already present in the storage element for another function, and which is therefore not constituted by an added element which would be a source of additional space and cost. A detailed description of a preferred embodiment of a storage element according to the invention is given below with reference to the following figures: [Fig.1] [Fig.1] is a perspective view of a storage element according to the invention, [Fig.2] [Fig.2] is a front view of a storage element according to the invention, from inside it, [Fig.3] [Fig.3] is a front view of a storage element according to the invention from inside it, showing an interface area between the first flap and the second flap in a first configuration, [Fig.4] [Fig.4] is a front view of a storage element according to the invention from inside it, showing an interface area between the first flap and the second flap in a second configuration, [Fig.5] [Fig.5] is a front view of a storage element according to the invention from inside it, showing an interface area between the first flap and the second flap in a third configuration, [Fig.6] [Fig.6] is a front view of a storage element according to the invention from inside it, showing an interface area between the first flap and the second flap in a fourth configuration, [Fig.7] [Fig.7] is a front view of a latch of a storage element according to the invention, in an active configuration, [Fig.8] [Fig.8] is a front view of a latch of a storage element according to the invention, in an inactive configuration, Referring to [Fig. 1], a storage element | according to the invention has a parallelepiped shape and is delimited by a flat lower horizontal wall 2 acting as a bottom, by a flat upper horizontal wall 3 acting as a ceiling and by three side walls 4 connecting edges of said flat lower horizontal wall 2 to edges of said flat upper horizontal wall 3. The three side walls 4 extend vertically and comprise two parallel walls and a connecting wall connecting said two parallel walls while being perpendicular thereto. The flat lower horizontal wall 2, the flat upper horizontal wall 3 and the three side walls 4 are solid and do not leave any opening or orifice. The flat lower horizontal wall 2 and the flat upper horizontal wall 3 each have a rectangular shape and are perfectly superimposed on each other. The fourth side wall of the storage element 1, which is parallel to the connecting wall, is in the form of a first flap 6 and a second flap 7 slidably mounted in parallel rails 8, 9 of said storage element 1. Among these rails 8, 9, we distinguish: . - a lower rail & having a central segment running along a large edge of the lower flat horizontal wall 2, and two lateral segments extending on each side said central segment, and each running along a short edge of said lower flat horizontal wall 2, said two lateral segments being perpendicular to the central segment, - an upper rail 9 having a central segment running along a large edge of the flat upper horizontal wall 3, and two lateral segments extending on each side said central segment, and each running along a short edge of said flat upper horizontal wall 3, said two lateral segments being perpendicular to the central segment. The lower rail 8 and the upper rail 9 are placed in line with each other, perfectly superimposing each other in a vertical direction. The first shutter 6 and the second shutter 7 are each made up of a multiplicity of vertical slats 10, connected to each other in a jointed and articulated manner. Referring to Figures 1 and 2, the first flap 6 and the second flap 7 can each occupy a closed position in which they are in contact with each other. In the example illustrated in [Fig. 1], the straight line 11 materializing the contact zone between the two flaps 6, 7 occupies a central position within the fourth side wall, suggesting that the first flap 6 and the second flap 7 have the same length. According to an alternative embodiment of a storage element 1 according to the invention, the contact zone 11 between the two flaps 6, 7 can be eccentric. Each flap 6, 7 can slide in the rails 8, 9 from its closed position to reach a variable open position. The sliding of each flap 6, 7 is independent of the position and / or sliding of the other flap 6, 7.Thus, if the two flaps 6, 7 were to reach their variable opening position from their closed position, they would slide along the rails 8, 9 in opposite directions. It is also entirely possible that one of the two flaps 6, 7 remains in the closed position while the other flap is in the variable opening position. The term “variable opening position” means that the flap 6, 7 is no longer in the closed position but in a position allowing access to the interior of the storage element 1. There are thus, for the same flap 6, 7, several opening positions corresponding to different sliding amplitudes. The lower rail 8 and the upper rail 9 each have a stop placed inside said rail 8, 9 and in the middle of their respective central segment. When one of the two flaps 6, 7 is resting against one side of these stops, it is then in the closed position, and when the other flap 6, 7 is resting against an opposite side of said stops it is also in the closed position. Each flap 6, 7 is provided with an external handle 12, 13, allowing a qualified person to easily grasp at least one of the two flaps 6, 7 to slide it manually along the rails 8, 9. A storage element 1 according to the invention may, for example, be in the form of a box intended to be fixed to a vehicle platform. Once this box has been filled with different objects, such as parcels, a delivery driver will make a round with his vehicle to deliver their object to customers located at very specific addresses. During this round, there are more or less long phases during which the delivery driver can no longer monitor his vehicle, particularly when he moves away from it to deliver a specific object to a clearly identified customer. The vehicle which is loaded with goods then becomes easy prey for a malicious person who would like to fraudulently steal these goods. In order to prevent such a theft from occurring, a storage element 1 according to the invention implements a lock comprising a main striker 14 mounted hinged on the second flap 7 and a latch 15 provided with a bolt 16 which is secured to the first flap 6. The main striker, the latch 15 and the bolt 16 are placed inside the storage element 1 so as not to be visible from outside the storage element 1. Referring to Figures 7 and 8, the second flap 7 comprises a support base 17, preferably made of metal, and on which the main striker 14 is rotatably mounted. This support base 17 is a flat, thin part having a rectangular outline. This base 17 comprises a cylindrical rotation axis 18 and a cylindrical lug 19, said rotation axis 18 and said lug 19 projecting from the same face of the support base 17 while being perpendicular to said face. The main striker 14 is an elongated rectangular part having, in an end zone, a circular orifice and a slot 20 in the shape of an arc. The main striker 14 is mounted on the support base 17, so that the rotation axis 18 passes through the circular orifice and so that the lug 19 is inserted into the slot 20 in the shape of an arc.In this way, the main striker 14 can move from an active position in which it extends horizontally as shown in [Fig. 7], to an inactive position in which it extends vertically as shown in [Fig. 8], after having undergone a 90° rotation around the rotation axis 18 from its horizontal active position. During this rotational movement, the arcuate slot 20 has moved around the lug 19. The interaction between the lug 19 and the curved slot 20 makes it possible to guide the rotational movement of the main striker 14 between the active position and the inactive position. This interaction makes it possible to reinforce this rotational movement by making it more precise and more reliable. When the main striker 14 is in the horizontal active position, it has a lower bottom 30, for example in the form of a folded edge representing its lowest part. Referring to figures 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, an upper rod 50 and a lower rod 51 are mounted in an articulated manner on the main striker 14. Each of these rods 50, 51 appears in the form of a rigid rectilinear rod, one end of which terminates in an axis of rotation extending perpendicular to said rod. Referring to Figures 7 and 8, when the main striker 14 is in the horizontal position, the end area comprising the circular hole intended to receive the axis rotation 18 of the support base 17, comprises an upper circular opening 52 intended to receive the rotation axis of the upper rod 50 and a lower opening 53 intended to receive the rotation axis 18 of the lower rod 51. The upper circular opening 52 and the lower circular opening 53 are placed on either side of the circular orifice, along a longitudinal axis of the main striker 14. The upper circular opening 52 is located above the circular orifice and close to an end edge 54 delimiting the end zone, and the lower circular opening 53 is placed below said circular orifice while being further from this end edge 54 than is the upper opening 52.The upper rod 50 extends vertically so that its axis of rotation is inserted into the upper opening 52 and so that one of its ends is inserted into an upper secondary striker of the storage element 1. The lower rod 51 extends vertically so that its axis of rotation is inserted into the lower opening 53 and so that one of its ends is inserted into a lower secondary striker of the storage element 1. The description of the different elements appearing above is carried out assuming that the main striker 14 extends horizontally. Referring to Figures 7 and 8, the support base 17 carries a magnet 21 intended to interact with the main striker 14 when the latter is in the vertical inactive position. Indeed, when the main striker 14 is going to be rotated from its horizontal active position to reach the vertical inactive position, it will be attracted by the magnet 21 which will contribute to keeping it in the vertical position. The bolt 16 is an elongated rectangular-shaped part. Activating the lock 15 in one direction or the other will cause a vertical translational movement of the bolt 16, either upwards or downwards. It should be noted that the support base 17, the main strike 14, the lock 15 and the bolt 16 are fixed to internal surfaces of the two flaps 6, 7 and are therefore not visible from the outside of the storage element 1. Referring to [Fig. 3], the storage element 1 may be in a locked configuration in which the main strike 14 extends horizontally, projecting from the second flap 7 and overlapping the first flap 6, the bolt 16 being inserted between said main strike 14 and an internal surface of the first flap 6. For this configuration, the two rods 50, 51 extend vertically and are inserted into their respective secondary strike. The two flaps 6, 7 are then in the closed position Referring to [Fig.4], the conventional opening of the storage element 1 is carried out by means of a key allowing the lock 15 to be acted on from outside the storage element 1. The bolt 16 is then translated vertically upwards to disengage from the latch 14, The rods 50, 51 remain engaged in their respective secondary latches. Referring to [Fig. 5], since the element no longer holds the two flaps 6, 7 together, the first flap 6 can then be moved manually along the rails 8, 9 in order to be moved away from the second flap 7, which is fixed in the closed position by the two rods 50, 51. By moving the first flap 6 away from the second flap 7, an access route to the interior of the storage element 1 is then created, allowing access to the goods stored inside this storage element. Referring to [Fig. 6], so that the main latch 14 no longer constitutes a protrusion likely to injure a person or damage objects that would be extracted from the storage element 1, it undergoes a manual rotation of 90° in order to find itself in the inactive vertical position. In the inactive position, the main latch 14 is completely retracted into the second flap 7 without protruding from it, the magnet 21 helping to maintain the main latch 14 in this inactive vertical position. A delivery driver can then safely extract the parcels stored in the storage element 1, to deliver them to the corresponding customers. This rotation of the main latch 14 between the horizontal position and the vertical position, causes a vertical translation downwards of the upper rod 50 and a vertical translation upwards of the lower rod 51.In this way, said two rods 50, 51 disengage from their respective secondary latches, releasing the second shutter 7 into movement, which can then be manually translated along the rails 8, 9 from its closed position to reach an open position. The translation of the second shutter 7 to reach the open position is carried out along the rails 8, 9 in a direction which moves it away from the first shutter 6. For this configuration, the first shutter 6 and the second shutter 7 can be moved independently of each other, to each find themselves in a more or less marked open position. Referring to [Fig.7], when a malicious person attempts to fraudulently open the storage element 1 while it is in the locked configuration, he will force the lock 15 to attempt to make the bolt 16 fall and thus unlock the storage element 1. The bolt 16 will begin to fall, which is quickly stopped by the lower base 30 of the latch 14 being in the horizontal active position. The bolt 16 will drop by approximately 1 cm until a lower end of said bolt 16 comes into abutment against said lower base 30. In this new position, the bolt 16 which is still inserted in the strike plate 14, continues to lock the storage element 1, preventing the malicious person from accessing the interior of said storage element 1. Even if the bolt 16 falls, it will therefore continue to lock the storage element 1. To close the storage element 1, while the two flaps 6, 7 are in a variable opening position, the following steps must be followed in order: -Manually slide the second shutter 7 along the rails 8, 9 until it comes to rest against the stop of the two rails 8, 9, to place it in the closed position, - manually pivot the main latch 14 to move it from the vertical position to the horizontal position, in particular so as to engage the two rods 50, 51 in their respective secondary latch. The second shutter 7 is then locked in translation in the closed position, -manually slide the first shutter 7 along the rails 8, 9 until it comes to rest against the stop of the two rails 8, 9, to place it in the closed position. The first shutter 6 and the second shutter 7 are then in contact with each other, each being in the closed position, -move the bolt 16 downwards by means of a key inserted into the lock 15, so as to engage said bolt 16 in the main strike plate 14, -remove the key once storage element 1 has been closed.
