This stalling has been shown to occur when airflow is quickly accelerated by force of vacuum and drawn out of the turbine shroud which then mixes with and disturbs the otherwise smooth flow of wind over or between the shrouds or concentrator wings. The system may also include an aerobrake that responds quickly to protect the impellor blades or associated mechanisms from overspeeding or exceeding other design limitations under gusting or violent wind conditions. The system may also include a method of guiding elements of the system to orient appropriately into prevailing winds, and a method to support elements of the system, without unduly impeding the free flow of wind. In the apparatus and method, a gain/phase error estimator predicts a gain/phase imbalance error caused by AQM on the predistorted signal. A Direct Current (DC) offset estimator predicts a DC offset for a feedback signal from the high-power amplifier. An error compensator compensates for the digital predistorted signal for a DC offset signal output from the DC offset estimator, and then compensates for a gain/phase error output from the gain/phase error estimator.

A boost converter utilizing bi-directional magnetic energy transfer of coupling inductor provides a high efficiency boost DC-DC converting with above 30 times voltage boost rate, which uses a coupling inductor and low voltage switch to absorb circuit induction voltage of a passive regenerative snubber no matter if switch is turned on or off.
