Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Valve device
[0001] The present invention relates to a valve device.
[0002] A valve is a component used to block or regulate the flow of fluids (liquids or gases).
[0003] In valves, a closing part (e.g. disc, cone, ball or needle) is generally moved approximately parallel to the direction of flow or about an axis of rotation transversely to the direction of flow of the medium. The flow is interrupted by pressing the closing part with the sealing surface against a suitable opening, the valve seat or sealing.
[0004] The term actuator, also called actuator, generally designates technical construction units which transform, for example, an electrical signal (instructions issued by a control computer) into mechanical movements or changes in physical quantities such as pressure or temperature and thus actively intervene in the controlled process.
[0005] A valve can be closed or opened by an actuator.
[0006] The aim of the present invention is to provide a valve device having means for positioning valve chambers of the valve device in the axial direction and / or for spatially separating them from one another.
[0007] Another object of the present invention is to provide a valve device which comprises means for fluidly separating valve chambers from one another.
[0008] Furthermore, the object of the present invention is to provide a valve device in which means are provided for thermally insulating the valve chambers from each other.
[0009] Another object of the present invention is to provide a valve device of simple design and whose operation is safe and reliable.
[0010] One or more of these objectives are achieved by the features of the present invention as described below.
[0011] According to the invention, a valve device is provided, comprising
[0012] - an external housing system,
[0013] - at least one valve chamber element comprising a separating wall extending orthogonally to an axial direction, wherein a peripheral side wall extending in the axial direction is formed on the partition wall, so that a valve chamber is formed,
[0014] - a closing element arranged in the valve chamber and in which
[0015] the valve chamber element and the closure element form a valve chamber unit, wherein the valve chamber element has means for arranging the valve chamber unit in the outer housing system precisely, at least in the axial direction.
[0016] By means of the present invention, it is possible to simply position the valve chambers securely and reliably in the axial direction, since the dividing wall and the closing element are arranged by means of the valve chamber elements in such a way that the valve chamber is positioned in the axial direction.
[0017] The outer housing system has valve receiving means. Furthermore, the outer housing system forms a frame for the valve chamber elements.
[0018] A valve chamber forms a valve chamber unit together with a valve chamber element and a closure element. A valve chamber unit can operate largely independently of the other valve chamber units. Thus, several fluid flows can be regulated in a valve chamber unit, independently of another valve chamber unit. A closure element is arranged inside a valve chamber to regulate the fluid flow. For this purpose, the closure element has at least one inlet and one outlet. The inlets and outlets are designed as through-holes on the closure element. The through-openings are designed to accommodate valves installed on the outer housing system.
[0019] Furthermore, a valve chamber can be fluidically separated from the outside or from each other by such a valve chamber element. In this way, a valve device can regulate several fluid flows independent of each other.
[0020] Furthermore, the dividing wall of the valve chamber element may have an additional sealing element which is arranged radially and peripherally. This makes it possible to improve or reinforce a fluid separation from the outside or from another valve chamber.
[0021] In addition, a valve chamber can be thermally insulated from other valve chambers or from the outside by the valve chamber element to a certain extent. This is achieved by forming an outer housing wall by the outer housing system, as well as an inner housing wall by a side wall of the valve chamber element. This results in a double wall with an air gap which has a thermal insulating effect.
[0022] For additional thermal insulation, an insulating element can be installed in the partition or side wall of the valve chamber element.
[0023] A valve chamber element can be designed as a cover for closing the outer housing system. Its dividing wall can have a cover axial abutment surface, which projects in a circular ring-like shape above the side wall, such that it projects beyond an opening of the outer housing system, which extends along a mounting direction and it can be provided with means for fastening to the outer housing system and in which the outer housing system has a cover axial counter-abutment surface, which is designed corresponding to the cover abutment surface, oriented in the direction of the cover abutment surface.
[0024] Thus, a valve chamber element can be used as a cover for a radially widest section of the outer housing system.
[0025] In this way, the outer housing system can be closed safely and reliably. The cover valve chamber element can position at least one further valve chamber element within the outer housing system.
[0026] A valve chamber element may have a cover axial abutment surface and a flange, wherein the outer housing system may have a cover counter-abutment surface, in order to form, in connection with the valve chamber element, a cover for the outer housing system.
[0027] This assumes that the outer housing system is made open at least on one side. The opening of the outer housing system can be closed by a valve chamber element.
[0028] By means of the flange of the valve chamber element, the valve chamber element can be connected to the outer housing system with connecting means. In addition, the outer housing system can have systems for precisely receiving the connecting means.
[0029] Furthermore, it is possible that the valve chamber element not only has a flange, but also spacers such as formations, in order to arrange additional systems on the cover of the outer housing system.
[0030] A circular ring-shaped end surface oriented in the mounting direction of the side wall can form a front abutment surface, which is intended to abut in the axial direction on a correspondingly formed axial receiving surface of another valve chamber element or of the outer housing system.
[0031] The valve device may have at least one valve chamber element with a cover abutment surface and at least the valve chamber element with a front abutment surface, so that the at least one valve chamber element valve chamber can be precisely arranged axially in the outer housing system.
[0032] In addition, the side walls of the valve chamber elements can be made in sections.
[0033] The receiving surfaces may be formed correspondingly to the correspondingly formed side walls of the adjacent valve chamber member.
[0034] This has the advantage that the valve chamber elements can be centered. Centering ensures precise arrangement, which makes the operation of the valve device safer and more reliable.
[0035] In this way, a valve chamber element is positioned axially by the abutment surfaces, both at the dividing wall and in the front surface area of the side wall.
[0036] It is thus possible to stack several valve chamber elements on top of each other in the valve device, in the assembly direction.
[0037] For a single valve unit per valve device, it is alternatively possible for a valve chamber element to have a cover stop surface and a front stop surface.
[0038] An edge region of the partition wall oriented in the installation direction can form an axial bottom stop surface, so that the bottom stop surface can be fixed in the installation direction by a correspondingly produced bottom counter-stop surface, which is designed as a circular circumferential spacer in the outer housing system, in order to delimit a bottom valve chamber unit.
[0039] The bottom axial stop surface forms, like the cover axial stop surface of a valve chamber element, a boundary so that the valve chamber element cannot be moved in the mounting direction.
[0040] The valve device may have a second valve chamber element with a bottom stop surface, in order to arrange the valve chamber elements precisely in the axial direction in the outer housing system.
[0041] The bottom counter-stop surface delimits a bottom valve chamber unit on the opposite side of the closed bottom wall. Since the outer housing system of the closed bottom wall delimits the valve chamber on the opposite side of the valve chamber element with a bottom stop surface, the valve chamber element can do without a peripheral side wall.
[0042] As a result, a valve device having at least two valve chamber elements may have a valve chamber element without a side wall, if the outer housing system has a bottom counter-abutment surface.
[0043] The bottom counter-abutment surface can also be made from a cross-sectional narrowing inside the outer housing system.
[0044] Corresponding stop and counter-stop surfaces within the outer housing system or on an adjacent valve chamber element can assign a valve chamber element a corresponding position in the mounting direction within the outer housing system.
[0045] The abutment surfaces with the correspondingly produced associated counter-abutment surfaces constitute a safe, simple and reliable solution for positioning the valve chamber elements.
[0046] The outer housing system can delimit a valve space, which is designed as a conical narrowing in sections in the axial direction, in which at least one valve chamber element has at least one circumferential and radially outwardly extending radial abutment surface and in which the outer housing system is designed by a conical narrowing in the assembly direction or other means of at least one radial counter-abutment surface designed correspondingly to the circumferential radial abutment surface, in order to arrange a valve chamber element precisely in the radial direction in the outer housing system.
[0047] The radial abutment surface may be formed by peripheral tangential formations extending radially towards the outer housing system and the radial counter-abutment surface by a side wall of the outer housing system.
[0048] The conical narrowing of the outer housing system may be formed by a spacer, protrusion, or other reduction in cross-section on the inner wall of the outer housing system.
[0049] The radial counter-stop surface of the outer housing system of the housing makes it possible to assign a valve chamber element a position within the outer housing system. Thus, a valve chamber element can be arranged radially in addition to axial positioning. This ensures that a specific valve chamber element fits exactly into a desired cross-section of the outer housing system.
[0050] The radial counter-abutment surface of the outer housing system forms a boundary for a valve chamber element in the radial direction.
[0051] The valve device comprising at least two valve units assumes that the outer housing system has at least two sections, which differ in their diameter. In addition, the valve device has at least two valve chamber elements and at least two closing elements.
[0052] In this way, the valve device can simultaneously conduct several fluid flows. The spatial separation makes it possible to fluidically and thermally regulate the fluid flows relative to each other.
[0053] The closure elements are then formed in such a way that they fit precisely into the cup-shaped valve chamber elements. The closure elements are thereby positioned precisely and centered. A new positioning / repositioning of the closure element is thus ensured.
[0054] Inside the valve chamber elements, the closure elements can be arranged with the passage openings for the inlet and outlet of the valve device.
[0055] A closure element is intended to allow or prevent the inflow and outflow of a fluid. The passage openings of the closure elements may have different sizes and / or distances and thus be adapted to the outer housing system and the valve chamber unit.
[0056] The closing element of a valve chamber unit can adopt at least two different positions.
[0057] The partition wall may have, approximately in the middle, a passage opening for a shaft allowing a closing element of a valve to be moved.
[0058] Thus, the closing element can be rotated about an axis. A rotational movement is advantageous because no additional construction space is required to change the position of the inlets and outlets of the valve device. Furthermore, a shaft with a central axis can be integrated very easily into a valve device.
[0059] The shaft can be rotated using an actuator which can be installed on the cover of the valve device.
[0060] The shaft may be made of sections each comprising a valve chamber unit having a mounting shaft and a correspondingly shaped connecting cavity to form a form-fitting connection.
[0061] The advantage is that the shaft can consist of sections which can be arranged in the valve device together with the valve chamber element and / or the closure element. Thus, a shaft section is assigned to a valve chamber unit or a valve frame. In addition, it is possible to manufacture the closure element and the shaft section as a single piece from a single component.
[0062] The mounting shaft of the shaft section of the valve chamber unit is formed correspondingly to the connecting cavity of the shaft section of the adjacent valve chamber unit and vice versa.
[0063] The design of the valve device is thus implemented according to a stacking principle. The valve chamber units are stacked on top of each other within the predefined housing sections. The centering of the valve chamber units above each other is carried out in that the receiving systems and the shaft sections of the individual housing sections are formed correspondingly to each other, so that they fit together predictably.
[0064] As connecting means, correspondingly designed latching elements and latching recesses or screws or the like can be provided. In this way, it is also possible to have a modular valve device that can be expanded as desired by means of a correspondingly adapted outer housing system.
[0065] The valve device is also well suited for control tasks in addition to regulating fluid flows. With a valve device according to the invention, fluid flows can be regulated in such a way that they can transmit information.
[0066] According to at least one embodiment of the invention, the dividing walls of the valve chamber elements have receiving systems for the side walls of the adjacent valve chamber element.
[0067] The present invention is described in more detail below with the aid of an exemplary embodiment shown in the figures. These figures represent
[0068] [Fig.l] a perspective representation of a valve device according to the invention,
[0069] [Fig.2] another perspective representation of the valve device according to the invention,
[0070] [Fig.3] a side representation of the valve device according to the invention,

[0072] [Fig.5] an exploded representation of the valve device according to the invention.
[0073] According to the invention, a valve device 1 is provided for regulating the flow rate of at least one fluid.
[0074] According to this embodiment, the valve device 1 is designed in a modular manner. The valve device 1 has an outer housing system 2 in which three valve chamber units 25, 34, 4L are arranged.
[0075] The outer housing system 2 extends in the axial direction 3. The outer housing system 2 is designed open on an upper side 4 and has four threaded bores 5 for screwing with a cover 6. The outer housing system 2 is designed closed on a lower side 7 with a base wall 8. The outer housing system 2 has a radial peripheral side wall 9 which forms any number of inlets and outlets of the valve device 1.
[0076] The outer housing system 2 is divided into three sections, in which a valve chamber unit is respectively formed. A diameter of a housing section narrows in the axial direction towards the lower side 7 of the outer housing system 2.
[0077] The valve chamber units can be stacked on top of each other corresponding to the sections of the outer housing system 2 in the axial direction 3. The outer housing system 2 forms a stable body with the bottom wall 8 and the side wall 9 for receiving one or more valve chamber units.
[0078] A valve chamber unit comprises a valve chamber element 10, a closure element 11 and a fluid space 12.
[0079] A valve chamber unit is made in an approximately cylindrical shape.
[0080] The valve chamber element 10 delimits the valve chamber unit on one side in the axial direction 3. In the present embodiment, the delimitation by the valve chamber element 10 is in the direction of the upper side 4 of the outer housing system 2.
[0081] The valve chamber element 10 comprises a partition wall 13 approximately in the form of a circular ring, which extends orthogonally to the axial direction 3. On the edge of the partition wall 13, a peripheral tangential sealing element extending radially to the side wall 9 is arranged, in the form of an O-ring 14.
[0082] In addition, the valve chamber element 10 comprises a peripheral radial side wall 15 which extends orthogonally to the partition wall 13 and parallel to the axial direction 3. The side wall 15 is produced in sections according to the invention. The side wall 15 is formed on the partition wall 13 in such a way that the side wall 15 projects beyond the partition wall 13 and forms a free end or a front abutment surface 16. The side wall 15 extends over a lateral length parallel to the axial direction 3, corresponding to the lateral length of an associated housing section of the outer housing system 2.
[0083] The separating wall 13 has a through hole 18 on a central axis 17 for the passage of a shaft or a shaft section 19.
[0084] According to the invention, the shaft or a shaft section 19 is connected to a closing element 11. The shaft or shaft section 19 makes it possible to drive the closing element 11 in rotation around the central axis 17. In the present exemplary embodiment, the closing element 11 and the shaft part 19 are manufactured in one piece using a one-component injection molding process.
[0085] It is also possible that the shaft or a shaft section 19 and a closing element 11 are made of two separate components, fixedly connected to each other by snap-fastening, gluing, screwing and the like.
[0086] The closure element 11 is designed in an approximately cylindrical shape. In addition, the closure element 11 has a cover wall 20 extending orthogonally to the axial direction 3. In addition, the closure element 11 comprises a casing wall 21, designed parallel to the axial direction 3 radially on the periphery of the cover wall 20. The casing wall 21 has any number of through-openings 22, which are designed correspondingly to the inlets and outlets of the outer housing system 2.
[0087] The closure element 11, as well as the fluid space 12, are arranged inside the cup-shaped valve chamber element 10. The outer diameter of the closure element 11 then corresponds approximately to the inner diameter of the valve chamber element 10.
[0088] A valve chamber unit 25, 34, 41 comprises a fluid space 12 for receiving a fluid. The fluid space 12 is made hollow.
[0089] In the present embodiment, three valve chamber units 25, 34, 41 are arranged in the outer housing system 2 in three housing sections. Each fluid space 12 is respectively formed in one housing section of the outer housing system 2.
[0090] The cover wall 20 of the closure element 11 forms a first delimitation of the fluid space 12 extending orthogonally to the axial direction 3. The partition wall 13 of an adjacent valve chamber element 10 forms a second delimitation on the opposite side of the fluid space 12. Laterally, extending parallel to the axial direction 3, the fluid space 12 is delimited in a first section 23 by the casing wall 21 and in a second section 24 by the side wall 15.
[0091] The valve chamber elements 10 are arranged inside the outer housing system 2 with the closing elements 11. A valve chamber element 10 with a closing element 11 is then assigned to a housing section.
[0092] For the radial positioning of the valve chamber element or valve chamber elements 10 in the outer housing system 2, peripheral tangential formations extending radially outwardly or in the direction of the outer housing system 2 are formed on the side wall 15, the peripheral tangential walls of which form radial abutment surfaces 47. The formations are formed as double-peripheral projections. Correspondingly, the outer wall 9 of the outer housing system 2 is designed in sections as a radial counter-stop surface 48. The radial counter-stop surfaces 47 and the radial counter-stop surface 48 are arranged approximately parallel to one another and extend axially and tangentially circumferentially. Thus, the valve chamber elements 10 can no longer be moved against one another around the central axis 17.
[0093] Like the sections of the outer housing system 2, the diameters of the radial counter-abutment surfaces taper in sections. A valve chamber element 10 can therefore only be precisely arranged in a respective housing section with a corresponding radial counter-abutment surface.
[0094] In the present embodiment, the valve device 1 comprises three valve chamber units. The outer housing system 2 has correspondingly three sections in each of which a valve chamber element 10 is arranged with a closing element 11 and forms a fluid space 12.
[0095] According to the present embodiment, the partition wall 13 of a first valve chamber unit 25 is designed as a cover 6 for the upper side 4 of the outer housing system 2. A flange 27 is provided on the cover for screwing the actuator 26 with the valve device 1. Furthermore, four adjustment holes 28 are arranged radially circumferentially on the edge of the flange 27 corresponding to the four threaded bores 5.
[0096] In the first valve chamber unit 25, the dividing wall 13 of the valve chamber element 10 has a circumferential axial cover abutment surface 29. The axial cover abutment surface projects outwardly in a circular ring-like manner above the side wall 15 in the radial direction, such that it projects through an opening in the outer housing system, which extends along an installation direction 30. The outer housing system 2 has a cover axial counter-abutment surface 31, which is designed corresponding to the cover abutment surface 29, oriented in the direction of the cover abutment surface.
[0097] To connect the actuator 26 to the shaft section 19 inside the first valve chamber unit 25, between the valve chamber element 10 and the shaft section 19, an annular bearing 32 and a rod 33 are arranged along the central axis 17. This makes it possible to easily drive the shaft, made from the shaft sections 19, into rotation without loading the valve chamber element 10.
[0098] For the predefined valve positions, free spaces are provided in the side wall, so that the positions of the inlets and outlets of the outer wall 9 remain free. The closing element 11 has passage openings 22 corresponding, which can, by rotation of the casing wall 21, cover or release the inlets and outlets, so that a fluid can remain in the fluid space 12 or be replaced.
[0099] The free ends 16 of the valve chamber element 10 of the first valve chamber unit 25 define a predetermined distance from the partition wall 13 of the second valve chamber unit 34.
[0100] The circular ring-shaped end surface 30 oriented in the mounting direction of the side wall 15 forms a front abutment surface 35 in the region of the free ends 16, which is intended to abut in the axial direction on a correspondingly formed axial receiving surface 36 of the second valve chamber unit 34.
[0101] Thus, the fluid space 12 is delimited with respect to the second valve chamber unit 34. The partition wall 13 of the second valve chamber unit 34 has a receiving surface in the form of receiving systems 36 for receiving the free ends 16 or front abutment surfaces 35 of the first valve chamber unit 25. This results in a predefined positioning in the axial direction between the valve chamber elements 10 of the first and second valve chamber units 25, 34.
[0102] The shaft section 19 of the first valve chamber unit 25 has, in the direction of the actuator 26, an actuator connection system 37 in the form of a trunk oriented opposite to the mounting direction 30.
[0103] Furthermore, the shaft section 19 and the closure element 11 of the first valve chamber unit 25 are manufactured as a single piece using a one-component injection molding process.
[0104] On the opposite side of the first valve chamber unit 25 opposite the shaft section 19, a pin 38 is arranged, which can be inserted into a correspondingly formed pin receiving system 39 of the shaft section 19 of the second valve chamber unit 34. For this purpose, the pin 38 of the first valve chamber unit is guided through the through hole 18 of the second valve chamber unit 34. Furthermore, a sealing ring 40 is arranged tangentially circumferentially around the pin receiving system 39 of the second valve chamber unit 34.
[0105] The valve chamber element 10 of the second valve chamber unit 34 has a smaller diameter in the radial direction than the valve chamber element 10 of the first valve chamber unit 25, corresponding to the second housing section made with a narrowing.
[0106] The free sections of the side wall 15 of the second valve chamber unit 34 are made corresponding to the inlets and outlets provided on the outer housing system 2.
[0107] In the second valve chamber unit 34, the through-openings 22 are arranged such that the inlets and outlets of the outer housing system 2 can be covered and released by rotation.
[0108] The shaft section 19 and the closure element 11 of the second valve chamber unit 34 are manufactured in one piece using a one-component injection molding process. The shaft section 19 has a lug 38 which is inserted into the lug receiving system 39 of the third valve chamber unit 4L. In addition, a sealing ring 40 is arranged tangentially circumferentially around the lug receiving system 39 of the third valve chamber unit 4L. For the passage of the shaft section 19 of the second valve chamber unit 34, the third valve chamber unit 41 has the separating wall 13.
[0109] In addition, the fluid space 12 of the second valve chamber unit 34 is delimited on one side by the partition wall 13 of the second valve chamber unit 34 and on the opposite side by the partition wall 13 of the third valve chamber unit 4L.
[0110] The dividing wall 13 of the third valve chamber unit 41 has receiving systems 33 for receiving the free ends 16 of the second valve chamber unit 34. Thus, the dividing wall 13 of the third valve chamber unit 41 is precisely arranged in the axial direction 3.
[0111] In addition, a bottom axial stop surface 42 is formed tangentially circumferentially on the partition wall 13 of the third valve chamber unit 4L. Correspondingly, a bottom axial counter-stop surface 43 is formed on the outer housing system 2. Thus, the partition wall 13 is precisely arranged in the axial direction 3. The valve chamber element 10 of the third valve chamber unit 41 therefore has no side wall 15.
[0112] The valve chamber element 10 of the third valve chamber unit 41 is made smaller in the radial direction than the valve chamber element 10 of the first and second valve chamber units 25, 34, correspondingly to the third housing section made with a narrowing.
[0113] In the third valve chamber unit 34, the passage openings 22 are arranged such that the inlets and outlets of the outer housing system 2 can be covered and released by rotation.
[0114] The shaft section 19 and the closure element 11 of the third valve chamber unit 38 are manufactured as a single piece using a one-component injection molding process.
[0115] The pin 38 of the third valve chamber unit 41 is designed correspondingly to a rotary bearing 44 into which the pin 38 is inserted. The rotary bearing 44 is arranged in a correspondingly shaped cavity 45 in the outer housing system 2.
[0116] The shaft thus consists of the shaft sections 19 of the three valve chamber units, wherein the shaft sections have an increasing diameter from the first valve chamber unit 25 to the third valve chamber unit 4L. Thus, the shaft sections 19 are rigidly connected.
[0117] By rotating the shaft, the valve position of all three valve chamber units 25, 34, 41 is simultaneously changed. The actuator 26 triggers the rotational movement. The actuator 26 comprises a servomotor controlled by a control system.
[0118] It is possible to install circulation systems 46 on the outer housing system 2, in order to direct the individual fluid flows together or separately to or from the valve device 1.
[0119] The valve chamber units can be replaced in the respective sections by further valve chamber elements 10 or valve chamber elements 11. The design of the valve device 1 is thus modular. List of reference signs
