Abstract

The invention is a multi-functional workshop crane combining the functions of a pallet truck and a gantry crane. It consists of a rectangular-section metal tube frame mounted on four wheels. Three of these tubes are arranged transversely, and two identical tubes of the same cross-section serve as removable crossbeams. Each crossbeam is inserted into a rectangular, sleeved opening in the front crossbeam, ultimately connecting to a guide tube depending on the intended use. The removable crossbeams allow the crane to be converted into a counterweighted crane by attaching these two rear crossbeams. It features a telescopic vertical arm with an extendable boom and large directional wheels at the rear, enabling its use in any location. Equipped with two additional crossbeams, it can also be used to move a palletized load.

Description

Title of the invention: Multi-function workshop crane Scope of the invention.

[0001] The present invention relates to the design of a workshop crane, commonly called "the goat". But with several particularities which characterize it, the main one of which is to have a capacity to do on this same device two or more functions and particularly the objectives are the following:

[0002] First of all, being able to adapt to lifting a load placed on a pallet, which is becoming more and more common. Because nowadays, transport is carried out using this packaging.

[0003] And also to be able to use it as a workshop crane for all handling. Among other things, lifting or removing the engine of a vehicle which requires a certain height while allowing it to be installed in the intended location.

[0004] This workshop crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2] according to its invention must have the possibility of being in the shape of a "V" or in the shape of a "U" by simply moving the two longitudinal members which are removable. By transforming it into a U for a load on a pallet or with the pallet. Particularly in this case, it can with two additional crosspieces move this load in its entirety with stability and safety.

[0005] And it has a particularity which is to be versatile because by placing these side members at the back of its vertical arm and accompanied by a mass as a counterweight to the load that it will lift, it allows to maneuver or move this / these loads in / or to places inaccessible for standard workshop cranes.

[0006] This multifunction crane has a wheel on each side, in the background larger in diameter compared to the two in the foreground. And that these rear wheels are both directional, orienting themselves at the same time to the maneuver of the operator because each wheel is connected to a spreader bar by means of a connecting rod. And this spreader bar is fixed to a machined axis which is placed horizontally and to a central pivot which is located in the background then on a longitudinal axis plane of the crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2]. At one of the ends of this machined axis is fixed a handle acting as a positioning lever arm during guidance and serving as a traction lever for its movement.

[0007] By means of its large wheels which will be electrically motorized in certain range this crane can clear annoying obstacles compared to other cranes. History of the prior art.

[0008] Generally, all standard and common workshop cranes consist of a vertical arm assembly, having a pivot axis placed horizontally at its connection to the upper part with a boom that is manually extendable. This assembly is fixed by bolting to a base composed of one to two crosspieces at most, on which two foldable side members are fixed for some. They are all generally equipped with casters to allow the operator to move them.

[0009] And as we have several types of workshop cranes with models that can be electrically operated with counterweight or those that are without overhang and also those of size that are adapted according to its assignment we draw advantages to satisfy the needs.

[0010] But often in use, we come across some problems especially when a single-piece merchandise is delivered on a pallet and it is necessary to use a stacker and if the company has one. And another problem with a difference in level that we often encounter between the screed of the premises and the unloading place this difference in level hinders the rolling of the rollers which are commonly fixed to the lower part of a standard workshop crane.

[0011] Depending on the existing models, most workshop cranes are presented with forked beams, in the shape of a "V" or "U" or in a frame for some. A "V" crane is made for the mechanical workshop in general and a "U" crane is made for other companies which equip themselves for the movement of a few pallets. Statement of the objectives of the invention.

[0012] Faced with the problems described in the previous paragraph. The invention comes to partially modify the existing concept because the invention must take advantage of some elements such as a hydraulic cylinder for lifting the load and also a boom with manual or hydraulic extension for maneuvering in different cases.

[0013] So, the design of this workshop crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2] according to one of the embodiments of the invention lies in obtaining on a single crane. The two or more functions include being able to be used for the most frequent automobile repair workshop and being able to be used for a storage or packaging company for single-block components which are or must be placed on a pallet. This crane must be maneuverable without a driving component for the basic model and able to overcome unevenness during its use by following the recommendations. To allow this to be done, the two wheels of the background are placed symmetrically with respect to the longitudinal axis plane of the crane determined by a center line (LL1) [Fig.2] and must be of greater diameter than those of the foreground (PI) [Fig.2] which is determined by a line (TT1) [Fig.2].These two rear wheels are directional and combined with a handle serving as a steering and traction lever.

[0014] Apart from these two functions mentioned, this crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2] has a part Its unique feature is that, thanks to its two removable side members and the presence of a third cross member in the background, it can be transformed into a crane with counterweight. That is to say, when these side members are placed in the background, a mass acting as a counterweight is placed on a pallet which will be placed towards their end.

[0015] This multifunction crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2] is equipped with a vertical arm (C) [Fig.2] which is fixed laterally perpendicular to a chassis (Q) [Fig.2] but slightly inclined towards the background. And it has in particular a variable vertical arm height which is an integral part of its design in order to exploit its adaptation to all the criteria of the needs. Summary of the invention.

[0016] The concept of this workshop crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2] which is summarized as multifunctional resides on several levels. The main one is to build a metal structure that can contain the project.

[0017] This workshop crane is made up of two parts, a chassis (Q) [Fig.2] in tubular structure for its lower part and a vertical arm. And this chassis is placed horizontally and is made up of several crosspieces, this one has three which are almost at the same level as its side members which are also two in number. These side members are removable to obtain this particularity of two or three in one. Because these same removable side members are used to perform the two functions, having a chassis in the shape of a "V" or in the shape of a "U" as desired in the foreground.

[0018] This multifunction crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2] has a vertical arm made up of two parts, an upper part and a lower part. And from its upper part are fixed two lateral stays serving as reinforcement, the upper end of which starts from a bolted fixing of a sheath which is located at the upper part of this vertical arm then the other end at the lower part of the arm which is more exactly an upper part of the chassis (Q) [Fig.2] while each being fixed by means of a pinned axis after its fitting to a welded yoke at each of the two ends of the crosspiece of the background. These allow them to follow the inclination of the vertical arm during its change of height. Because this sheath located at the upper part of the vertical arm is made of two identical parts having a flange and a counter flange which are assembled by bolting. This allows the upper end of each side stay to be fixed.

[0019] The upper part of the vertical arm is telescoped from its lower part by means of a conical torque system combined with a screw and a nut. Its operating point is located on the front face of the lower part (crank handle style) but inverted. To allow this, the lower part of the vertical arm fits into the upper part to keep the entire support point of a jack hydraulic which is fixed to a foreground face of the upper part of this vertical arm.

[0020] According to one of the embodiments, each of the crosspieces, the side members and also the two parts of the vertical arm are made of rectangular section tubes but reinforced in certain places.

[0021] The three crosspieces are conditioned to work on edge to ensure its resistance to a load during its use. They are placed at some distances from each other in parallel and they are held between them by means of two pieces of tubes of square or rectangular section adapted to this distance and which are welded acting as a spacer to the faces which are opposite each crosspiece. The two crosspieces, one of which is placed in the foreground and the other in the background, are of the same length compared to the middle crosspiece which is slightly longer in order to obtain a free field. This free field allows the directional rotation of the wheel on the right side and on the left side during a pivot.

[0022] This central cross member has a particularity because it is provided on its face in the foreground with four pieces of tube of rectangular section while for that of the background, with two pieces. But specifically their external section allows to fit into one of the ends of the tube of each side member working on edge. In order to obtain guidance at the time of fixing each side member tube in place at each assembly because according to the invention, the two side members are removable and held by means of a removable axis that the operator must house in a common vertical drilling of the cross member and the side member during each desired positioning.

[0023] These two pieces of rectangular section tube (c) and (d) [Fig.6] are welded symmetrically with respect to the longitudinal axis plane on the front face of the middle cross member (T2) [Fig.6] and two pieces (h) and (g) [Fig.6] are welded symmetrically to these two of the foreplane on the rear face of this middle cross member (T2) [Fig.6] except for the two pieces (a) and (b) [Fig.6] provided for the assembly of the "V" shaped side members of the foreplane. These are welded only on the face of the middle cross member (T2) [Fig.6] which is opposite the foreplane cross member (PI) [Fig.6]. In the foreground these pieces of tubes (a), (b), (h) and (g) [Fig.6] are arranged to guide the two removable side members (Ll) and (L2)) [Fig.6] and there are four of them, while on the face of this middle cross member (T2) [Fig.6] which is opposite the cross member (T3) of the background (P2) [Fig.6], there are only two of them.

[0024] For the foreground (PI) [Fig.6] and the background (P2) [Fig.6] each of the two crosspieces (Tl) and (T3) [Fig.6] is provided with a rectangular-shaped orifice lined to increase its strength while allowing the passage of each removable side member (Ll) and (L2) [Fig.6] when used for the "V" shape or the "U" shape for the foreground (PI). While in the background (P2), it is only the possibility of forming the "U" shape.

[0025] To reduce its size, by means of these two removable side members (Ll) and (L2) [Fig.6] pieces of rectangular section tube of a certain length, (not illustrated) having the internal dimension of the removable side members (Ll) and (L2) [Fig.6] are welded in symmetry with respect to the longitudinal axis of the crane and on top of a steel sheet plate (not illustrated) connecting by welding the two cross members (Tl) and (T2) [Fig.6], which are that of the median (T2) and the cross member (Tl) of the foreground (PI) thus allowing them to be fixed orthogonally after use of the crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2] during storage.

[0026] At each end of this central crosspiece (T2) [Fig.6] is fixed a pivot axis (40) [Fig.6] of the spindles (12a) and (12b) [Fig.6] of the rear wheel (AR1) [Fig.2] on the right side and (AR2) [Fig.2] on the left side which are both directional.

[0027] While at one of the ends of each removable side member (Ll) and (L2) [Fig.4], [Fig.5] is fitted a tube of rectangular section (49a) and (49b) [Fig.2] on which at one of these ends is welded a yoke (50) [Fig.4], [Fig.6] for fixing a front wheel (AVI) on the right side and (AV2) on the left side of the foreplane (PI) of the crane (M) [Fig.l]. Each tube (49a) and (49b) [Fig.2] once fitted, is fixed by means of a removable axis (52) [Fig.4], [Fig.5] which the operator must engage in an orifice (51) [Fig.2] made previously centered and drilled vertically corresponding to the two parts of the removable side member (Ll) or (L2) [Fig.2] to each of these tubes of rectangular section (49a) and (49b).

[0028] But, this concept is quite particular because it has two forms. The first is the linear form (49c) and (49d) [Fig.4], [Fig.5] following the profile of the removable side member (Ll) and (L2) and the other is the bent form (49a) and (49b) [Fig.2] and oriented inwards in symmetry with respect to the longitudinal axis plane of the crane (M) [Fig.2] to allow parallelism of the front wheels (AVI) and (AV2) [Fig.2] to be obtained and in order to facilitate the movement of this multifunction workshop crane (M) [Fig.l] more easily. Because the assembly constituting this multifunction crane (M) [Fig.l] is equipped with four wheels, the two rear ones which are directional, have a greater gap than those of the front in order to ensure the optimization of its stability during its use.

[0029] According to one of the embodiments of its design, this multifunction workshop crane (M) [Fi.l] has a characteristic feature. Because each side member (Ll) and (L2) [Fig.2] is provided with at least two successive drilling holes (73) [Fig.2] located on the same longitudinal median axis plane of the upper face of these removable side members (Ll) and (L2) [Fig.2],

[0030] On each side member these two successive holes (73) [Fig.2] are at the front but two other similar holes (73) [Fig.2] are drilled at a certain distance to the rear. These holes correspond to a desired purpose which will be developed in the next paragraph and must be symmetrical with respect to the longitudinal median axis plane of the crane (M) [Fig.2]. And this must correspond to the housing of the end of a part of each tube (70) [Fig.8] of cylindrical section which is welded on the longitudinal median axis plane of each of the additional removable crosspieces (TU1) and (TU2)) [Fig.2]. The latter which are removable serve to support the load which is on a pallet (not shown) in the case of its placement on the two side members forming a U while allowing it to be moved without fear of imbalance.

[0031] This is one of the particularities which characterizes the design of this multifunction crane (M) [Fig.l].

[0032] Each tube (70) [Fig.8] of cylindrical section is welded almost to the end of each additional removable crosspiece (TU1) and (TU2) [Fig.2] from a vertical drilling allowing to house a tube (70) [Fig.8] which has a length slightly greater than the height of these crosspieces (TU1) and (TU2) [Fig.2] which can be put to work on edge.

[0033] These additional removable crosspieces (TU1) and (TU2) [Fig.2] are two in number. At each end they are equipped with a handle (PL) [Fig.8] which can be fixed or folding to reduce the space requirement.

[0034] To do this when a pallet (not shown) needs to be moved with its load once lifted, the operator fits or slides each of these additional removable crossbars (TU1) and (TU2) [Fig.2] under the floor (not shown) which is the upper part of the pallet. Because when lowering the assembly the operator aims to match the holes (73) [Fig.2] of each removable sidebar (L1) and (L2) with the end of the tube (70) [Fig.8] serving as the axis of each additional removable crossbar (TU1) and (TU2) [Fig.2].

[0035] Each of these additional removable crosspieces (TU1) and (TU2) [Fig.2] can be of rectangular or square section and must be positioned almost in contact with the inner side of each die (not shown) of this pallet for the foreground and with the inner side for the background of the pallet (not shown). Our basic element for prototyping is the standard model.

[0036] The height of each additional removable crosspiece (TU1) and (TU2) [Fig.2] depends on the space available under the upper and lower parts of a pallet (not shown).

[0037] The objective is to be able to almost immobilize the entire pallet (not shown) when lifted and to avoid its contact with the ground when moving. These additional removable crosspieces (TU1) and (TU2) [Fig.2], [Fig.8] can be used to place a counterweight mass in the background if necessary, performing the multiple functions of this crane (M) [Fig.2] which is one of the reasons for the usefulness of these numerous holes. Description and explanation of the drawings.

[0050] [Fig.8] Shows a side view in the longitudinal direction of an additional removable crossbar with its circular section centering tube which protrudes the height of the crossbar and also a folding handle on each side are visible.

[0051] According to its invention, this multifunctional workshop crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2] is designed in a tubular metal structure. According to one of the embodiments it is composed of a tube of rectangular section and a square section. It is made in two main parts, each of which is made up of several elements.

[0052] In order to facilitate the description: the first main part is the vertical arm (C) [Fig.3], [Fig.5] having an upper part (A) [Fig.2], [Fig.3], [Fig.5] and a lower part (B) [Fig.3], [Fig.4] which is determined by a line (ZZ1) [Fig.2] located at the separation of these two tubes of rectangular section (Al) and (Bl) [Fig.3], [Fig.4] which fit together to form this vertical arm (C) [Fig.3], [Fig.5].

[0053] And for the second main part it is a tubular structure forming a chassis which is a base (Q) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] for fixing the whole of the vertical arm (C) [Fig.3], [Fig.4] and the elements allowing the mobility of the whole of this multifunction crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2]

[0054] The upper part (A) [Fig.2], [Fig.3], [Fig.4] of this vertical arm (C) [Fig.3], [Fig.4]. It consists of a cylinder (Ve) [Fig.2], [Fig.3] with a hydraulic pump (Ph) [Fig.2], [Fig.3] and an arrow (F) [Fig.3] with its extension fitted with a hook (not shown) at one of its ends. This boom (F) [Fig.3] is fixed by means of an axis (a1) [Fig.3], [Fig.4] inserted in a bore (a2) [Fig.4] arranged horizontally having one end on the right side and the other on the left side of the crane to a bore previously made in a yoke (c1) [Fig.3], [Fig.4] formed and welded to the upper end of the vertical arm (C) [Fig.3], [Fig.4] and which corresponds to that of one of the ends of the boom (F) [Fig.3] thus allowing an oscillation pivot between them. To allow this, the lower part (Vi) [Fig.2], [Fig.3] of a hydraulic cylinder (Ve) [Fig.2], [Fig.3] is fixed by means of an axis (a2) [Fig.2], [Fig.3] to a yoke (c2) [Fig.2], [Fig.3], [Fig.5] which is fixed by welding on the front face of a tube of rectangular section (Al) [Fig.2], [Fig.3], [Fig.4], [Fig.5] of the upper part (A) [Fig.3], [Fig.4], [Fig.5] of the vertical arm (C) [Fig.3], [Fig.4], [Fig.5]. While by means of an axis (a3) [Fig.3] inserted in a bore of a yoke (c3) [Fig.3] fixed by welding on one side which is on the lower part with respect to the four sides of the fixed body of this arrow (F) [Fig.3] is fixed a rod (y) [Fig.3] of this hydraulic cylinder (Ve) [Fig.3]. .

[0055] In particular, the lower part (B) [Fig.3], [Fig.4] delimited by a line (ZZ1) [Fig.3], [Fig.4] which corresponds to a part of the whole of the vertical arm (C) [Fig.3], [Fig.4] is welded on a plate (P10) [Fig.2], [Fig.4], [Fig.6] placed horizontally and fixed by bolting to a steel sheet plate (PL) [Fig.2], [Fig.6], [Fig.7] of a certain thickness which is also fixed by bolting to each of the crosspieces (Tl), (T2) and (T3) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] of a tubular frame (Q) [Fig.2], [Fig.6].

[0056] This chassis (Q) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] is formed by several elements, two of which are removable, those are its two removable side members (Ll) and (L2) [Fig.2], [Fig.3], [Fig.6]. They are equipped with a wheel (AVI) and (AV2) [Fig.2], [Fig.3], [Fig.5] or a castor of each at one of their ends which are the front wheels of this multifunction crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2],

[0057] Another element is fixed to this chassis (Q) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] which is the base. On the latter is fixed the whole of the vertical arm (C) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] but also the available end of each removable side member (Ll) and (L2) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] with the possibility of producing the shape adapted to the needs of each situation.

[0058] This base (Q) [Fig.2] is made up of three crosspieces (Tl), (T2) and (T3) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] one of which is the median (T2) [Fig.2], [Fig.6]. In particular, each of the ends of this median crosspiece (T2) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] is internally reinforced and serves as a fixing for a spindle (12a) on the right side and (12b) on the left side [Fig.2], [Fig.6] of the rear wheel hub (AR1) on the right side and (AR2) on the left side [Fig.2], [Fig.6] which are both directional.

[0059] The lower part (B) [Fig.3], [Fig.4] of the vertical arm (C) [Fig.3], [Fig.4] which is delimited by the line (ZZ1) [Fig.2], [Fig.3] has a particularity, because it is reinforced, that is to say that it has a greater thickness than the upper part (A) [Fig.2], [Fig.3], [Fig.4]. Because according to the design of this multifunctional workshop crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2], the vertical arm (C) [Fig.3], [Fig.4] is made of two parts that fit into each other and the rectangular section tube (Bl) [Fig.2] of the lower part (B) [Fig.3], [Fig.4] fits into the rectangular section tube (Al) [Fig.2], [Fig.3], [Fig.4] of the upper part (A) [Fig.3], [Fig.4]. This is in order to be able to obtain the variation of its height and this well before, in the event of a load lifting or other bulky. This variation of height is obtained by means of a mechanical manipulation of a bevel gear couple (cc) [Fig.4] or a similar system with a screw-nut placed vertically inside the rectangular section tube (Bl) [Fig.4] of the lower part (B), of the vertical arm (C) [Fig.3], [Fig.4] this tube (Bl) is reinforced. One end of the drive axis (ax) [Fig.2], [Fig.4] of the mechanism is located outside the front face (11) [Fig.2], [Fig.4] of the tube (Bl) [Fig.2] which is in the foreground (PI) delimited by the transverse line (TT1) [Fig.5] to allow its manipulation using a removable crank or a ratchet wrench if necessary by the operator.

[0060] To ensure safety, this rectangular section tube (Al) [Fig.4] of the vertical arm of the upper part (A) [Fig.4] is provided with several spaced lateral holes (t4) [Fig.4] which are located on the same centering line corresponding to a hole (t5) [Fig.4] of substantially identical diameter made on the rectangular section tube (Bl) [Fig.4] of the lower vertical arm (B) [Fig.4]. At this hole (t5) [Fig.4] when matching that of the mobile part, a removable axis (ax1) [Fig.4] is engaged by the operator. A metal belt (18) [Fig.4] is welded to the lower end of the rectangular section tube (Al) [Fig.4] of the mobile vertical arm (A) [Fig.4] to increase its strength.

[0061] One of the ends of this rectangular section tube (Bl) [Fig.4] of the lower part of the lower vertical arm (B) [Fig.4] is welded onto a plate (P10) [Fig.2], [Fig.4] which is fixed by bolting to a steel plate (PL) [Fig.2], [Fig.6]. The latter is provided with holes for fixing by bolting to each crosspiece (Tl), (T2) and (T3) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] which is also provided with corresponding holes which are pre-tapped This plate receives by bolting a support (13) [Fig.6], [Fig.7] from one of the ends at the forefront of the axis (14) [Fig.6] of a steering lever (Pa) [Fig.6] of the rear wheels (AR1) and (AR2) [Fig.2]. To this steel plate (PL) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] is welded perpendicularly a piece (y1) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] of steel sheet formed in a "U" acting as a fixing (15) [Fig.6] of the other end of this spreader axis (Pa) [Fig.6] which is located in the background (P2) [Fig.5] in relation to a line (PP1) [Fig.5], [Fig.8] and at the rear of this tube of rectangular section (Bl) [Fig.4] of the vertical arm in the lower part (B) [Fig.4] which is welded orthogonally to the crosspieces (Tl), (T2) and (T3) [Fig.5] but only on the lateral side of the right side and the left side in relation to the line (LL1) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] of the longitudinal axis plane of the crane. Because on the transverse axis plane (TT1) [Fig.6] compared to that of the longitudinal median axis, it is significantly inclined backwards.

[0062] It should be noted that as part of one of the particularities of the central cross member (T2) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] it is provided with four pieces of rectangular section tube (a), (b), (c) and (d) [Fig.6] making the internal dimension of the removable side member tube (Ll) and (L2) [Fig.2]. These four pieces of tube (a), (b), (c) and (d) [Fig.6] of rectangular section are divided two by two but specifically they do not have the same cut because the two tubes (a) and (b) [Fig.6] which are selected to form the "V" shape of this multifunction workshop crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2]. These pieces are cut obliquely at one of their ends which is welded to the front face of this central cross member (T2) to favor their orientation. Whereas, the two pieces of tube (c) and (d) [Fig.6] of rectangular section, one of whose ends is welded to the front face of the central cross member and which will guide and support each removable side member (Ll) and (L2) [Fig.6] to obtain the "U" shape remains straight and welded orthogonally on the face of the foreplane (PI) relative to the transverse line (TT1) [Fig.6] of the middle crosspiece (T2) [Fig.6] and all oriented forward horizontally.

[0063] Each of the pieces of tube (a), (b), (c) and (d) of rectangular section welded to the central crosspiece (T2) [Fig.6] must correspond to an orifice (16) [Fig.6] of rectangular shape which is lined. All these orifices (16), (17) and

[18] [Fig.6] are pierced right through the two symmetrical faces of the crosspiece (Tl) [Fig.6] of the foreground (PI) [Fig.6] and the same is true for the crosspiece (T3) [Fig.6] of the background (P2) [Fig.6]. For the holes (17) and (18) [Fig.6] which are symmetrical intended to form the "V" and which are closer to the line (LL1) of the longitudinal median plane of the crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2], the hole (17) or (18) in the foreground of the crosspiece (Tl) [Fig.6] is slightly offset from that of the face of its background, because of the existence of the gap between the two crosspieces (Tl) and (T2) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] and the width of the crosspiece (Tl) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] itself.

[0064] Another, among the particularities of the middle crosspiece (T2) [Fig.6] is to have two pieces of rectangular section tube (h) and (g) [Fig.6], which are of the same dimension as those which are welded on the front face of the foreplan (PI) [Fig.6] of the middle crosspiece (T2) [Fig.6] and which are welded on the face, of its background, in symmetry with respect to the longitudinal median axis plane of the multifunction workshop crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2]. These pieces of tubes (h) and (g) [Fig.6] of rectangular section are welded in relation to the rectangular shaped orifice (16) [Fig.6] of identical dimension as the two orifices which are made in the crosspiece (Tl) of the foreplan. These holes which are drilled in the crosspiece (T3) [Fig.6] of the background are lined to allow the passage of each removable side member (Ll) and (L2) [Fig.2] at the desired time and it must be secured with a removable axle (19) [Fig.3], [Fig.5] allowing its fixing.

[0065] This crosspiece (T3) [Fig.6] of the background (P2) [Fig.6] is fixed by welding to the middle crosspiece (T2) [Fig.6] by means of a piece of tube (4) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] of rectangular section of a dimension favorable to the constitution of the gap between the two crosspieces (T2) and (T3) [Fig.2], [Fig.6]. Each piece of tube (4) [Fig.6] is placed and welded acting as a spacer between the two crosspieces (T2) and (T3) [Fig.6] positioned like those of the foreground face at the end of the crosspiece (Tl) [Fig.6] and in symmetry with respect to the longitudinal median axis plane of the crane (M) [Fig.2]. Because according to the invention, the side members (Ll) and (L2) [Fig.2] are removable then by placing them in the background (P2) [Fig.3] of this multifunction workshop crane (M) [Fig.2] and accompanied by a counterweight (20) [Fig.3] placed on a pallet preferably and by using the two additional removable cross members (TU1) and (TU2) [Fig.3] which are provided for the operation. This multifunction crane (M) [Fig.2] can perform a function requiring the absence of the side members in the foreground, developed in the previous paragraphs. Because by means of this counterweight (20) [Fig.3] placed on the removable side members (Ll) and (L2) [Fig.2] and towards their end, in the background (P2) [Fig.3], it can perform this maneuver which requires the absence of the side members in the foreground (PI) [Fig.3]. This underlines its versatility.

[0066] For safety, a removable pin (19) [Fig.3] is provided to be inserted by the operator in each hole (6) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] which is made in the crosspiece (Tl) of the foreground (PI) [Fig.6]. And these holes (6) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] correspond to that which is made in each removable side member (Ll) and (L2) [Fig.2] when in its stop position by fitting into the piece of tube of rectangular section (a), (b), (c), (d), (h) and (g) which serves as a guide. These holes (6) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] are centered and drilled in the vertical plane. The same applies when fixing the removable side members (Ll) and (L2) in the background (P2) [Fig.3], [Fig.6].

[0067] The assembly of the three crosspieces (T1), (T2) and (T3) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] can be reinforced at its lower part, by means of a rectangular sheet metal plate shaped and openwork (not shown).

[0068] On each side in symmetry, on the upper face of the middle cross member (T2) [Fig.2] and the cross member (Tl) [Fig.2] of the foreground (PI) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] are welded two pieces of rectangular sheet metal (not shown) on each of this piece of sheet metal is welded another piece of tube of rectangular section (not shown) with internal dimensions of the side members (Ll) and (L2) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] in order to serve as orthogonal fixing of the removable side members (Ll) and (L2) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] at the time of storage of the multifunction crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2] to reduce the size.

[0069] But in order to keep the whole thing balanced when storing, a crutch (not shown) is operated before undoing the fixing of each removable side member (L1) and (L2) [Fig.2], [Fig.6].

[0070] Concerning this crutch. It is a crutch (not illustrated) which is composed of a heel in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped (not illustrated) welded orthogonally to a handle (not illustrated) and positioned transversely to the mounting on the crane chassis (M) [Fig.l] and which is inserted or fitted into a sheath (not illustrated). This sheath (not illustrated) acts as a guide and fixing of the assembly by means of another complementary part (not illustrated) fixed at least on the two crosspieces which are the middle crosspiece (T2) and the crosspiece (Tl) [Fig.6] of the foreground (PI) [Fig.6] and this part (not illustrated) serves as a support for a steel spring (not illustrated) recalling the handle (not illustrated) and the heel (not illustrated) to the zero position after each use by retracting between the two crosspieces (Tl) and (T2) [Fig.6].Because at its center the upper end of this handle (not shown) is provided with a tapped hole (not shown) on which is fixed by bolting a washer (not shown) serving as a stop for the spring (not shown). The end of the fixing bolt (not shown) of this washer is in the form of a yoke (not shown) or hemispherical in shape to fit the circumferential part of a circular part (not shown) of a certain thickness which is eccentrically centered on a support axis (not shown) which is fixed to the side wall of the "U" sheet metal (y1) [Fig.6]. The support of the crutch is achieved by moving a lever downwards. This maneuver from the top to the bottom of this lever causes the movement from the top to the bottom of the crutch (not shown) while causing a movement of rotation of this circular part (not shown).

[0071] This movement is made by means of this lever (not shown) centered on the assembly of a ratchet mechanism partially fixed on this lever (not shown) and on a toothed disc (not shown) of small diameter and which is fixed to a first part (not shown) which tangents the end of the bolt (not shown) fixing this crutch handle (not shown). When the ratchet is released, the heel (not shown) of the crutch, automatically by the effect of the extension of the spring (not shown) comes to lodge between the two crosspieces (Tl) and (T2) at the zero position. To facilitate this, this handle (not shown) must have a square section.

[0072] On the chassis at the lower part of the vertical arm (C) of this multifunction workshop crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2], there is a piece of sheet metal (y1) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] of a certain thickness, shaped and the ends which are positioned in the upper part are cut slightly at an angle, after having formed it in a "U" it is placed vertically and joined by welding to a steel plate (PL) [Fig.2], [Fig. 6] and [Fig.7] which is fixed by bolting to the three crosspieces: (Tl), (T2) and (T3) [Fig.2], [Fig.6]. This piece of U-shaped sheet metal (y1) [Fig.6] partially surrounds the lower part of the vertical arm (C) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] while allowing intervention in the event of disassembly of the vertical arm (B) [Fig.2]. The opening of the "U" is turned towards the foreground (PI) [Fig.2], [Fig.6].

[0073] On each side, this piece of "U" shaped sheet metal (Ul) [Fig.6] has at its lower part and symmetrically with respect to the longitudinal median axis of the multifunction crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2] a fairly large orifice (30a) and (30b) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] which serves as a passage for a steering rod (31) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] connecting an arm (32a) on the right side and (32b) on the left side [Fig.6] of pivot of each rear wheel (AR1) and (AR2) [Fig.2] to a central rudder (Pa) [Fig.6].

[0074] And in its background (P2) [Fig.6] relative to the transverse line (PP1) [Fig.5] and the median line (LL1) [Fig.6] on the longitudinal median axis plane of the multifunction crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2] is pierced on the center of the curve of the back (23) [Fig.6] of this "U" sheet (y1) an orifice (not shown) housing a tube of cylindrical section (not shown), having a bore (not shown) used to house a ball bearing (not shown) intended to receive one of the ends of the axis (14) [Fig.6] of the central spreader (Pa) [Fig.6]. In order to stiffen the welding attachment of this bore tube (not shown) a piece of tube (33a) from a flat steel sheet (not shown) sized to have the same hole as the previous one is welded to line the inside of this rear part which forms a curve (23) [Fig.6] formed by the shape of this sheet in "U" (y1) [Fig.2], [Fig.3] and [Fig.6].

[0075] In the foreground of the two: the curve of the back (23) and the piece of tube (33a) relative to the line (PP1) [Fig.5], [Fig.7] delimiting the foreground and the background of the axis (14) [Fig.5] of the rudder (Pa) [Fig.5] and at a certain distance is fixed another part (13) [Fig.5], [Fig.6], [Fig.7]. This part is made up of a tube of rectangular section (not shown) wide enough to serve as a support for a tube of circular section having a bore the size of a bearing of the axis of the steering rudder. This rectangular tube (not shown) has the two ends obstructed by another tube (13b) [Fig.6] welded orthogonally to its lower part and is pierced, tapped with at least two holes corresponding to holes previously drilled in the transverse direction with respect to the longitudinal axis plane line (LL1) on the steel plate (PL) [Fig.2], [Fig.3], [Fig.6], [Fig.7] and the plate (P10) [Fig.2], [Fig.7] for fixing the rectangular section tube (Bl) [Fig.2] of the lower part (B) [Fig.3] of the vertical arm (C) [Fig.2], [Fig.3]. And that at its upper part is welded in the same direction as that of the lower part a rectangular section tube (13a) [Fig.6] having both ends obstructed. At each obturator is drilled at least one hole which is tapped to allow it to be assembled to the U-shaped sheet (y') [Fig.2], [Fig.3], [Fig.6] and [Fig.7] by bolting to the wall on the left side and the right side of the U-shaped sheet (y1). In this way the whole thing is made more rigid.

[0076] This part (13) [Fig.5], [Fig.6] and [Fig.7] in rectangular section tube has an orifice (not shown) at a level corresponding to the height of the orifice (not shown) of the "U" shaped sheet (y1) [Fig.2], [Fig.6]. The center of each of these two orifices (not shown) is located on the same longitudinal axis (LL1) [Fig.6] and transverse axis (TT1) of the crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2]. The orifice of this part (13) [Fig.6] in rectangular section tube is provided with a part (not shown) which is welded to it and has a specific bore (not shown) to house a ball bearing or the like (not shown). Because by means of these two bearings (not shown) is fixed horizontally the axis (14) [Fig.6] of the specially machined steering rudder. This axis (14) [Fig.6] has several particularities including firstly a cylindrical machining (not illustrated) of diameter allowing one of its ends to fit into the bore of the inner ring (not illustrated) of the bearing of the foreground (pl) in relation to the line (PP') [Fig.5]. For its maintenance this axis (14) [Fig.5], [Fig.6] is provided with a groove (not illustrated) used to house a stop segment. This axis (14) [Fig.5], [Fig.6] has another cylindrical part (not illustrated) provided with a groove (not illustrated) with a key for fixing the lifting beam (Pa) [Fig.5], [Fig.6] which is followed on this same cylindrical part (not illustrated) by a groove with a stop segment serving as a stop for the inner ring of the ball bearing (not illustrated) of the background (p2) in relation to the line (PP') [Fig.5]. And finally a part of square section (not illustrated), whose diagonal represents the diameter of the cylindrical part of the axis (14) [Fig.5].

[0077] To this square section part (not shown) of the axis (14) [Fig.6] of the spreader bar (Pa) [Fig.6] is fixed by bolting, a specific part (28) [Fig.3] having a square hole (not shown) in its center, of dimension having a fitting tolerance on the square of this axis (14) [Fig.6] of the spreader bar (Pa) [Fig.6]. Concerning its fixing which is by bolting a hole (not shown) is drilled, tapped in the center of the end of this axis (14) [Fig.6] of the spreader bar (Pa) [Fig.6]. This bolt (27) [Fig.3] serves to hold the specific part (28) [Fig.3] by means of a washer (not shown) which accompanies it.

[0078] This specific part (28) [Fig.3] acting as a second rudder is oriented upwards with a tube (30) [Fig.3], [Fig.5] extension forming a handle, allows to agitate the axis (14) of the spreader bar (Pa) [Fig.3], [Fig.5] on which is fixed the first steering spreader bar (Pa) [Fig.5], [Fig.6] of the rear wheels (AR1) and (AR2) [Fig.2] of the crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2]. This handle (30) [Fig.3], [Fig.5] is fixed by means of an axis (not illustrated) placed horizontally, allowing to unite it with a possibility of pivoting with the specific part (28) [Fig.3] by means of a yoke (not illustrated) of this specific part (28) [Fig.3] and which is a tip (not illustrated) machined and drilled. This yoke has a part (not shown) of cylindrical section of diameter allowing it to be inserted to be held by welding or the like, in one of the ends of the tube of this handle (30) [Fig.3]. During assembly, it serves as the lower part. Because this handle (30) [Fig.3] allows the guidance and traction of the crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2] when rolling. It returns to the zero position, that is to say perpendicularly by means of a steel return spring (not shown) which rests on the specific part (not shown) passing its torsion on each end of the pivot axis (not shown) and tangent to the machined end of this handle (30) [Fig.3], [Fig.5].

[0079] Concerning the first steering lever (Pa) [Fig.5], [Fig.6] which is located in the background (p2) [Fig.5] of the vertical arm (C) [Fig.3] and between the two fixing points (13) and (15) of the two bores (not shown) specific to bearing. This steering spreader bar (Pa) [Fig.5], [Fig.6] is covered by the "U" shaped sheet metal (y1) but the existence of each lateral orifice (30a) and (30b) allows the pivots to be actuated synchronously by means of an adjustable or non-adjustable connecting rod (31) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] which connects the spreader bar (Pa) [Fig.5], [Fig.6] with an arm on the right side (32a) and on the left side (32b) of each of the spindles (12a) and (12b) which is fixed in symmetry with respect to the longitudinal median axis plane of the multifunction crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2] at each end of the median crosspiece (T2) [Fig.6].

[0080] The two ends of this middle crosspiece (T2) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] are reinforced internally by means of a piece of tube (not shown) of rectangular section of smaller dimension but just to allow its fitting into the crosspiece (T2) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] and with a length which is in relation to the desired resistance. However, an insert in the form of a block from another material can be a solution.

[0081] The assembly is drilled on the same vertical axis plane as a yoke (35a) [Fig.5] on the right side and (35b) on the left side [Fig.3] which acts as a fixing for the rocket (12a) and (12b) [Fig.2] while favoring its pivot on a vertical axis (36) [Fig.3]. Because at each part, whether it is the upper or lower part of a yoke (35a) or (35b) is inserted a self-lubricating ring (not illustrated) to relieve friction during rotation.

[0082] By means of this vertical axis (36) [Fig.3] located at each end of the middle cross member (T2) [Fig.2], [Fig.5], [Fig.6] is fixed with a possibility of rotation, the spindle (12a) and (12b) for fixing the rear wheel (AR1) and (AR2) [Fig.2] which is mounted by assembly to each spindle by means of a bearing hub (not illustrated) which can be ball or conical roller placed in symmetry, in standard model.

[0083] According to one of the embodiments of the invention.

[0084] Each fixing yoke of a rocket (12a) or (12b) [Fig.2] is made up of a set of three parts which are welded orthogonally so as to form a yoke (35a) [Fig.5] or (35b) [Fig.3].

[0085] The two parts which concern an upper part (35s) and a lower part (35f) are welded orthogonally to each end of a vertical part (35h) on which is fixed orthogonally by welding the axis of the rocket (12a) or (12b) [Fig.6]. The latter is placed at the point of intersection of the diagonals of the vertical part (35h) which is the third part of the yoke (35a) [Fig.5] or (35b) [Fig.3] but on the dorsal side with respect to the side of orientation and fixing by welding of the two parts including an upper part (35sd) on the right side and (35sg) on the left side and in the lower part (35f) [Fig.3], [Fig.5] both are identical. They have an orifice (40) [Fig.6] drilled from a center having the same axis plane as that of the end of the middle crosspiece (T2) [Fig.2], [Fig.5], [Fig.6]. From this orifice (40) [Fig.6] is fixed this vertical axis (36) [Fig.3] of the pivot of the rocket (12a) or (12b) [Fig.2], [Fig.6] described in the preceding paragraphs.

[0086] Particularly the upper part (35sd) on the right side or that on the left side (35sg) [Fig.6] of the yoke (35a) [Fig.5] or (35b) [Fig.3] has a shape in its background with respect to the line (TT1) which is on the median axis plane of the median cross member (T2) [Fig.3], [Fig.5], [Fig.6]. This shape is shaped to obtain an arm (32a) on the right side and (32b) on the left side [Fig.6] to allow the fixing of a ball joint (41) [Fig.5] which connects the spindle (12a) or (12b) [Fig.6] to this steering rod (31) [Fig.2], [Fig.6]. According to one of the manufacturing methods, the pivot pin (36) [Fig.3] is engaged with a tight fit in the hole (40) of the crosspiece (T2) [Fig.2], [Fig.5], [Fig.6] and it is also held by a spring pin (not shown) engaged in a previously made and corresponding hole, the crosspiece (T2) [Fig.2], [Fig.5] and to the pin (36) [Fig.3],

[0087] While at the upper part (35sd) or (35sg) and at the lower part (35f) of each yoke (35a) [Fig.5] or (35b) [Fig.3] at each orifice (not shown) is fitted a sleeve (not shown) of circular section whose bore is calibrated to house a self-lubricating ring or a needle bearing (not shown) whose internal diameter is substantially greater than that of the axis (36) [Fig.3] in order to allow the rotation of the spindle (12a) [Fig.2] on the right side and (12b) [Fig.2] on the right side left during the maneuver.

[0088] By principle of conceptualization of this multifunctional workshop crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2] at the end of each removable beam (Ll) and (L2) [Fig.l], [Fig.2] is inserted a tube, two by two of which, they have their combination. The tube (49a) on the right side and (49b) [Fig.2] on the left side for one function and for another function (49c) or (49d) [Fig.3], [Fig.5]. They are of rectangular section of smaller dimension than the removable beam (Ll) and (L2) [Fig.l], [Fig.2]. These tubes (49a), (49b), (49c) and (49d) [Fig.2] are provided at their available end with a yoke (50) [Fig.2], [Fig.3], [Fig.5] welded at a certain angle to compensate and in order to obtain the horizontal level of the multifunction crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2] in relation to the dimension of the directional wheels (AR1) and (AR2) [Fig.l], [Fig.2] of the background, because this yoke (50) [Fig.2], [Fig.3] serves as a fixing of a wheel (AVI) and (AV2) [Fig.2], [Fig.3], [Fig.5] or a wheel sized for the foreground. Two of these four tubes, (49c) or (49d) [Fig.3], [Fig.5] are linear in shape and the other two (49a) and (49b) [Fig.2] are angled in shape. To be able to achieve both positions. In "U" it is the linear and angled shape for the "V" position. And each of these pieces of tubes of rectangular section whose end is fitted into each removable side member (Ll) and (L2) [Fig.l], [Fig.2] is provided with an orifice (51) [Fig.2] drilled vertically corresponding to that of the removable side member (Ll), and (L2) [Fig.l], [Fig.2] and into which the operator must insert a removable axle (52) [Fig.3], [Fig.5] at each change of operation.

[0089] Concerning the vertical arm (C) [Fig.3], [Fig.4]. The upper part (A) [Fig.4] it is made up of two parts, an external part (Al) [Fig.4] and an internal part (A2) [Fig.4],

[0090] This external upper part (Al) which serves as a fixing for the lower part of the hydraulic cylinder (Ve) [Fig.2], [Fig.3] also serves as a fixing for one of the ends of the boom (F) [Fig.3]. This upper vertical arm (Al) slides on the lower arm (B) while maintaining the support point of the cylinder (Ve) in the same position [Fig.2], [Fig.3]. This support point consists of a yoke (c2) [Fig.2] welded to a front face of the external tube (Al) and to the forefront of the vertical arm (C) [Fig.4]. And by means of a transverse axis (a2) [Fig.2] inserted in the orifice (c3) [Fig.5] we obtain a fixing and a pivot point of the hydraulic cylinder (Ve) [Fig.2], [Fig.3] with this tube of the upper vertical arm (Al) [Fig.2], [Fig.3], [Fig.4], [Fig.5].

[0091] But particularly this vertical arm (C) [Fig.3], [Fig.4] having an upper part (A) [Fig.3], [Fig.4] has an internal part (A2) [Fig.4] which is a tube of rectangular section whose dimension is smaller than the tube of rectangular section (Bl) [Fig.2], [Fig.4] which acts as a lower vertical arm (B) [Fig.4]. This tube (A2) [Fig. 4] is obstructed by a metal plate (55) [Fig.4] at the upper end. By against at its lower end, a piece of metal plate (56) [Fig.4] tangent to the upper end of the mechanical jack (57) [Fig.4], but set back inside the tube (A2) [Fig.4] serves as a guide when telescoping the upper part of the vertical arm (A) [Fig.4].

[0092] The length of this tube (A2) [Fig.4] depends on the amplitude of height variation that we want to obtain from the vertical arm (A) [Fig.4]. It is not excluded to have another length of internal tube (A2) than that which is welded to this metal plate part (55) fitting into this external tube (Al) [Fig.4] of this upper part (A) [Fig.4] of the vertical arm (C) [Fig.4]. Because this metal plate part is held by bolting to the wall of the external tube (Al) [Fig.4] of the vertical arm (C) of the upper part (A) [Fig.4] by means of some holes drilled and tapped in this steel plate (55) [Fig.4] and which serves to obstruct the upper end of the internal tube (A2). Each hole corresponds to the one which is pre-made with milling in the external tube (Al) of the upper part (A).

[0093] Because this internal tube (A2) [Fig.4] can have a greater length going up to the upper end of the external tube (Al) [Fig.4] and serving as the plate (55) [Fig.4] as a closing part of the end of this external tube (Al) [Fig.4] of the upper part (A) of the vertical arm (C) [Fig.4]. This concept can also allow in the event of disassembly for an intervention provided that the fixing yoke of one of the ends of the boom (F) [Fig.3] is adapted to this.

[0094] By means of the presence of this internal tube (A2) [Fig.4] during the maneuver undertaken by the operator this acts on the variation in height of the top of the vertical arm (A) [Fig.4],

[0095] On either side of the three thicknesses constituted by each element (Al), (A2) and (B) forming the vertical arm (C) [Fig.4] which is formed by the assembly of the two parts (Al) and (A2) at the upper part and (B) [Fig.4] at the lower part, there is a common orifice (t5) [Fig.4] intended to house a removable axis (58) [Fig.4] which is inserted by the operator is made beforehand. On the other hand, the inner tube (A2) [Fig.4] has several orifices (t4) [Fig.4] spaced on the same median axis line as that of the outer tube (Al) and the tube of the vertical arm (B) [Fig.4]. In order to allow the desired height to be locked, obtained by operating the mechanical jack (57) [Fig.4]. This safety locking is done by means of this removable axis (58) [Fig.4].

[0096] To this upper part (A) [Fig.4] of this vertical arm (C) [Fig.4] is fixed with the possibility of sliding a sheath (70) [Fig.5] acting as a guide for the arm tube and fixing the upper end of each lateral stay (69). This sheath (70) [Fig.5] is made of two almost identical parts which surround the outer tube (Al) [Fig.5] of the vertical arm (C) [Fig.4] in a belt so as to allow it to slide during a change of height desired by the operator. This sheath (70) [Fig.5] is formed by two parts which are joined in a hinge (not shown) at the forefront of the vertical arm (C) [Fig.4] and by means of a flange and counter-flange (71) [Fig.5] assembled by bolting at the back. This allows, by means of a bolt (not shown) in the middle, the fixing on each side of the end of a stay tube (69) [Fig.5].

[0097] These stays (69) [Fig.5] act as lateral reinforcement but they are useful for the operator when he needs to push or pull during his operation.

[0098] At the end of the upper part (A) of this vertical arm (C) [Fig.4] is welded a yoke (c1) [Fig.3], [Fig.4] having an axis (a1) [Fig.3], [Fig.4], serving as a fixing with rotation at one of the two ends of an arrow (F) [Fig.3] which is a tube of rectangular section. This arrow (F) [Fig.3] is specifically formed to allow the minimum space requirement to be obtained during its storage. Hence the need to have a reinforcement (60) [Fig.3] made of shaped steel sheet plate, welded to the middle or on each side of this tube acting as an arrow following its shape.

[0099] At a certain distance, according to the calculation of the force of the hydraulic cylinder (Ve) [Fig.3] is welded a fixing clevis (c3) [Fig.3] by means of a transverse axis (a3) [Fig.3] inserted in a bore at the end of the rod (y) [Fig.3] of the cylinder (Ve) [Fig.3]. This clevis (c3) [Fig.3] is provided with a bore of diameter allowing the passage of this machined axis (a3) [Fig.3] provided with grooves with stop segment allowing the fixing with pivot of this rod (y) [Fig.3] of cylinder (Ve) [Fig.3] to follow the deployment of the boom (F) [Fig.3].

[0100] At the end of the first part of the boom (F) [Fig.3] described above is fitted a removable tube (61) [Fig.3] provided with several successive orifices (62) [Fig.3] centered on a common line of the median of each lateral side. These orifices (62) [Fig.3] correspond to a drilling (62a) [Fig.3] on the tube of the first part of the boom (F) [Fig.3]. And a removable axis, (not illustrated) provided with a pin is engaged by the operator to ensure maintenance, after each choice of extension.

[0101] At the end of this removable part (61) [Fig.3] of the boom (F) [Fig.3] is fixed a rotating hook (not shown) by means of a link and a transverse axis (not shown) fixed by welding on each side of the removable tube (61) [Fig.3] of the boom (F) [Fig.3],

[0102] Concerning the additional removable crosspiece (TU1) and (TU2) [Fig.l], [Fig.3] and [Fig.8]. It is a tube with a rectangular section but can also be of a square section because it depends on the choice. But the main thing is to be able to introduce it under the floor of a pallet (not shown).

[0103] At each end of this rectangular section tube is drilled vertically a hole opening onto the center line dividing its width. These tubes (TU1) and (TU2) work on edge on each side member of the multifunction crane (M) [Fig.l], [Fig.2]. To each of these two holes (not shown) is engaged and welded a tube of cylindrical section (70) [Fig.8] having the diameter of the hole and having a length (72) [Fig.8] exceeding the height (71) [Fig.8] of the additional cross-member tube (TU1) or (TU2) [Fig.8]. This excess causes the additional cross-member to be blocked when it is inserted into a corresponding hole (73) [Fig.2] of each longitudinal member (Ll) and (L2) [Fig.3], [Fig.8] previously drilled, when placing a pallet with its load, for the purpose of moving it. At each end of this additional crosspiece (TU1) or (TU2) [Fig.8] there is a folding handle (74) [Fig.8] to save space and make the operator's work easier, not forgetting a transverse tube (75) [Fig.8] which acts as a handle stop when lifting this additional tube (TU1) or (TU2).

[0104] As much as possible towards the lightness of each additional crosspiece (TU1) and (TU2) is part of the research for improving the described prototyping of this multifunction crane (M) [Fig.l]. But, also the motorization of its means of movement at the level of the large rear wheels. By this means the installation of a hydraulic pump allowing to supply the lifting cylinder by the boom and also the variation of height of the upper part (A) of the vertical arm are among the evolution assigned to these variants as well as the control station.
