AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Traditional prefabricated timber frames require large, rigid panels that pose challenges in assembly, storage, transportation, and installation due to size and weight constraints, as well as the need for significant assembly and storage space.

Method used

A method involving the pre-assembly of wooden frames in a bellows configuration, comprising I-shaped beams around insulating wedges with guide grooves, connected by flanges, allowing for compact and lightweight packaging and controlled on-site deployment.

Benefits of technology

This method enables easy assembly in a workshop, compact storage, efficient transportation by van, and handling by two installers, while reducing material usage, thermal bridges, and providing site protection with integrated vapor and rain barriers.

Description

Title of the invention: Method for manufacturing, packaging and assembling pre-assembled wooden frames in bellows.

[0001] The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing, packaging and assembling pre-assembled wooden frames in bellows for any type of building, allowing easy manufacturing, compact and lightweight packaging, and controlled site installation.

[0002] Prefabricated timber frames traditionally mean the assembly of large-format rigid panels, most often exceeding 10m2 and requiring: - Ergonomic assembly adaptations, as the assembly areas are most often inaccessible to fitters in a standing position. - A significant need for assembly space and storage space in the workshop. - Transport constraints linked to the size of the panels and the weight. - Motorized lifting equipment for lifting and installing elements.

[0003] The method according to the invention makes it possible to overcome these drawbacks with an intermediate level of prefabrication, limited to the bellows assembly of a network of I-shaped beams around insulating wedges, preserving a guide groove at the foot and at the head, and connected together by flanges. The bellows is then deployed in a controlled manner in situ on guides previously fixed to the support.

[0004] This process allows: - Easy assembly in the workshop of narrow and compacted elements for storage. - Packaging that can be transported in a van. - Handling by two installers of elements weighing around fifty kilos.

[0005] Other advantages arise from the process: - Savings in material at the level of the amounts. - A reduction in the thermal bridge of the frames. - Site protection provided by the flanges once the wall is deployed.

[0006] According to the particular embodiments: - The vapor barrier and / or rain barrier membranes as well as their respective battens can be integrated into the prefabrication in order to create a site enclosure and roof once the wall is deployed.

[0007] According to a preferred embodiment of the invention: - [Fig.l] represents in axonometric view the different stages of construction of the wall from the workshop phase, including a phase of reconstitution of the I-shaped uprights (1) then a packaging phase (2), and a phase of installation and deployment on site (3). - [Fig.2] details the workshop stages, from the manufacture of reconstituted I-shaped uprights comprising two sections of wood (4), secured around insulating spacers (5), which are made up of composite insulating tubes (6) blocked in a groove in the wood (7) and connected by a stainless steel screw (8), the assembly preserving a guide groove at the ends of the uprights (9), before workshop compaction into bundles (2) of uprights connected together by flanges (10). - [Fig.3] explains the progressive deployment on site of the network of reconstituted I-shaped uprights (1) from the bundles (2) mounted on high and low rails (11) to the successive tensioning of the flanges (10). - [Fig.4] explains the possibilities of integrating a rainproof membrane and its lathing (12) and the process.

[0008] With reference to Figures 1 to 5, this method comprises: - A phase of reconstitution of the amounts in I (1). - A packaging phase (2) - A phase of installation and deployment on site (3)

[0009] This method uses the following components: - Wooden sections (4) - Insulating spacers (5) - Composite insulating tubes (6) - Grooving of wood (7) - Stainless steel screws (8) - Guide groove (9) - Brides (10) - Upper and lower rails (11) - Rain cover (12)

[0010] The method according to the invention is particularly intended for the production of prefabricated wooden frames in kit form of small elements with the aim of simplifying assembly, transport and installation operations. It is compatible with any type of insulating filling and closure intended for the completion of a closed and covered structure.
