Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Projector unit equipped with means for supporting a motor vehicle shield technical field
[0001] The invention relates to a motor vehicle headlight unit provided with means for supporting a vehicle bumper. It also relates to a motor vehicle equipped with such a headlight unit. Previous techniques
[0002] Existing fastening systems for motor vehicle bumpers are designed to fix the bumper to the vehicle. However, these systems generally do not provide the rigidity necessary to reliably hold the bumper in position, particularly in the lateral areas of the vehicle.
[0003] These deficiencies often lead to an undesirable displacement of the shield, degrading the aesthetics of the vehicle, and potentially also affecting safety.
[0004] More specifically, the lack of rigidity in the lateral attachment is likely to cause the shield to shift during driving. Such imperfections are quickly noticeable and can lead to problems with perceived quality for users. Description of the invention
[0005] In this context, the present invention aims to provide a support for a motor vehicle bumper, designed to offer increased rigidity, thus ensuring the stable and secure retention of the bumper in position, and consequently improving the perceived quality and overall performance of the vehicle.
[0006] The invention relates to a headlight assembly for a motor vehicle, comprising a headlight having a front face and a side face located on the lateral side of the vehicle. The headlight is equipped on its lateral face with means for supporting a vehicle bumper so as to maintain the bumper at a predetermined distance from the headlight. Such a headlight assembly allows for stable attachment of the bumper to the headlight, particularly in the lateral area of the vehicle, and ensures good perceived quality.
[0007] Advantageously, the support means include means for snapping the shield into place. Such support means facilitate the installation and removal of the shield.
[0008] For example, the snap-on means include at least one clip for snap-on fixing of the shield.
[0009] Preferably, the shield includes an opening associated with each clip and designed to cooperate with the associated clip, so as to allow engagement only in a predetermined relative position. Such a configuration further facilitates the installation of the shield by ensuring that the shield is fixed in a conforming position.
[0010] Advantageously, the support means include an add-on for supporting the shield and attached to the side face of the projector by fastening means. Such an add-on helps prevent damage by damping vibrations between the shield and the projector and by providing additional protection in the event of minor impacts.
[0011] Preferably, the added part comprises an outer face arranged opposite an inner face of the shield and provided with means for lateral support of the shield. Such a part improves the lateral support of the shield.
[0012] For example, the lateral support means include at least one stud intended to be in contact with the inner face of the shield, so as to constitute a lateral support for the shield.
[0013] According to one feature, at least one stud is glued to the inner face of the shield.
[0014] For example, the fastening means include sheet metal nut holders, nuts- sheet metal and screws, the sheet metal nut holders being fixed to the side face of the projector.
[0015] According to another aspect, the invention relates to a motor vehicle comprising at least one projector block as described above. Brief description of the drawings
[0016] Other objects, features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description, given solely by way of non-limiting example, and made with reference to the accompanying drawings in which:
[0017] [Fig-1] is a partial perspective view of the front left side of a vehicle automobile equipped with a projector unit according to an example of an embodiment of the invention;

[0019] [Fig.3] is a cross-sectional view along axis III-III of [Fig.1];
[0020] [Fig.4] is a cross-sectional view along axis IV-IV of [Fig.1]; and
[0021] [Fig. 5] illustrates a direct orthonormal coordinate system XYZ used classically in design automobile. Detailed description of at least one embodiment
[0022] Fig. 1 is a partial perspective view of the front left side of a motor vehicle comprising a projector block 1, according to an embodiment of the invention.
[0023] The projector block 1 includes a projector 2 equipped with a front face 3 and a side face 4.
[0024] The front face 3 is intended to be positioned towards the front or the rear of the vehicle. The front face 3 includes the main lighting means for the projector 2.
[0025] The side face 4 is disposed on a lateral side of the vehicle, that is to say that the side face 4 is disposed towards the right or towards the left of the vehicle.
[0026] Here, the front face 3 and the side face 4 are arranged respectively towards the front and towards the left of the vehicle.
[0027] The projector block 1 supports a shield 5 of the vehicle by means of support means 6, particularly visible on the [Fig.2].
[0028] It should be noted that similar or identical elements bear the same references from one figure to another.
[0029] Fig. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the projector block 1 of Fig. 1, on which the shield 5 has not been shown to facilitate understanding.
[0030] The support means 6 are intended to support and maintain the shield 5 at a predetermined distance from the projector 2.
[0031] Preferably, the support means 6 include an added piece 7 intended to support the shield 5 and fixed to the side face 4 of the projector 2 by means of fixing 8.
[0032] In the embodiment illustrated in [Fig.2], the fastening means 8 include sheet metal nut holders 8a fixed to the side face 4 of the projector 2, sheet metal nuts 8b and screws 8c which cooperate to fix the added part 7 to the projector 2 ([Fig.3]).
[0033] The added part 7 comprises an outer face 9 provided with lateral retaining means 10 for the shield 5. The outer face 9 is arranged opposite an inner face 11 of the shield 5 ([Fig.4]).
[0034] The lateral support means 10 comprise at least one stud 12 intended to be in contact with the inner face 11 of the shield 5 so as to constitute a lateral support for the shield 5. In other words, the stud 12 opposes a lateral deformation of the shield 5.
[0035] According to the embodiment illustrated in [Fig.2], the lateral support means 10 comprise at least three non-aligned studs 12, so as to constitute a broken line of lateral support for the shield 5. Alternatively, it remains possible to provide a different number of studs, or even for them all to be aligned.
[0036] Preferably, at least one stud 12 is glued to the inner face 11 of the shield 5. Alternatively, it remains possible that the studs 12 are not glued to the shield 5.
[0037] Advantageously, the support means 6 include snap-on means 13 for the shield 5.
[0038] In the embodiment illustrated in [Fig.4], snap-on means 13 are arranged on the attached part 7. Preferably, the snap-on means 13 include at least one clip 14 for snap-on fixing the shield 5.
[0039] The shield 5 includes an opening 15 associated with each clip 14 and intended to cooperate with the associated clip 14, so as to permit snapping only in a predetermined relative position.
[0040] For the purposes of this description, reference will be made to a direct orthonormal coordinate system XYZ, classically used in automotive design and illustrated in [Fig. 5]. In this coordinate system, the X axis designates the front-to-rear longitudinal direction of the vehicle, oriented towards the rear, the Y axis designates the transverse direction and is oriented towards the right of the vehicle, and the Z axis designates the vertical direction and is oriented upwards.
