Detailed description
[0021] An object of the present disclosure is a diffuser cap 1 for diffusing ambient fragrances, shown by way of example in the attached figures.
[0022] The diffuser cap 1 comprises a main body 2. The main body 2 has a seat 3 formed to accommodate a head T of a perfume bottle B having a spray dispensing mechanism. The seat 3 is provided with a first through hole 5 into which the head T can be inserted to find accommodation in the seat 3.
[0023] In use, the diffuser cap 1 is used with a perfume bottle B, containing any fragrance.
[0024] The term "perfume bottle B" means any known container for a fragrance used to scent the body, preferably having a spray dispensing mechanism, thus comprising a bottle F, a head T adapted to dispense the fragrance when squeezed and a cap (not shown in the accompanying figures) for covering the head T.
[0025] Furthermore, the diffuser cap 1 comprises an absorbent element 4, housed in the seat 3. The main body 2 also comprises at least one second through hole 6, at the level of the seat 3, and distinct from the first through hole 5.
[0026] Advantageously, this diffuser cap 1 makes it possible to diffuse fragrances contained in perfume bottles onto a person. In this way, the fragrance can also be diffused in a room or a common space. In other words, after replacing the cap with the diffuser cap 1, then after inserting the head T of the perfume bottle B into the seat 3, pressing the diffuser cap 1 onto the perfume bottle B (Figures 5A, 5B) and compressing the head T itself, the absorbent element 4 absorbs the dispensed fragrance and then gradually diffuses it by means of the second through hole 6. In this way, the fragrance contained in the perfume bottle B is diffused into the environment.
[0027] In the preferred form of the disclosure, the main body 2 has a cylindrical shape having a cylindrical side wall 21, an upper circular base and a lower circular base.
[0028] Therefore, in the following part of the present description, the main body 2 is considered, for the sake of simplicity, to be cylindrical. Optionally, the main body 2 may have different polyhedral shapes, for example cubic or parallelepiped.
[0029] Preferably, the first through hole 5 is at the lower circular base and the second through hole 6 is at the upper circular base. In other words, the first through hole 5 faces the second through hole 6. This allows the diffuser cap 1 to replace the cap of a perfume bottle B, since the head T of the perfume bottle B can be inserted into the seat 3 through the first through hole 5. Once inserted, the head T can be compressed by a user, through the second through hole 6, in order to impregnate the absorbent element 4.
[0030] Preferably, the first through hole 5 has a diameter smaller than the diameter of the second through hole 6. In other words, as shown in Figures 4A and 4B, the main body 2 comprises an edge 22, preferably circular, adapted to surround the head T of the perfume bottle B, once inserted into the seat 3 through the first through hole 5. Still preferably, said edge 22 is placed at the level of the lower circular base of the main body 2 and extends from the cylindrical side wall 21 to the first through hole 5.
[0031] Preferably, the second through hole 6 extends along the entire upper circular base of the main body 2. In other words, once the closure of the perfume bottle B has been replaced by the diffuser cap 1, it is possible to have direct access to the head T through the second through hole 6, given that it has a diameter such that it allows the head T to be compressed.
[0032] In the preferred form of the present disclosure, the cylindrical side wall 21 of the main body 2 has a plurality of through holes 7. It should be noted that, advantageously, this plurality of through holes 7, together with the second through hole 6, promotes the diffusion of the fragrance by the absorbent element 4.
[0033] Preferably, said plurality of through holes 7 is arranged along a circumferential direction C of the main body 2. In alternative embodiments, not illustrated in the attached figures, the plurality of through holes 7 is arranged along different directions or, still alternatively, is arranged without predetermined geometry.
[0034] In the preferred embodiment, the absorbent element 4 and the main body 2 are coaxial with each other. In particular, the absorbent element 4 is formed as a ring or a tube and has an outer side surface 41 facing the cylindrical side wall 21 of the main body 2. Preferably, the outer side surface 41 of the absorbent element 4 is at least partly in contact with the side wall cylindrical 21 of the main body 2. Furthermore, the absorbent element 4 has a corresponding inner lateral surface 42, which surrounds the head T of the perfume bottle B, when the head T is inserted.
[0035] Preferably, the absorbent element 4 and the main body 2 have a substantially equivalent extension along the longitudinal axis A.
[0036] In the preferred embodiment, as shown in [Fig.2], the absorbent element 4 can be removed from the seat 3. Advantageously, this allows the absorbent element 4 to be replaced, for example, in the case of a change of fragrance or perfume bottle B. In particular, the absorbent element 4, when inserted, rests on the edge 22 at the lower circular base of the main body 2.
[0037] Optionally, the absorbent element 4 may be fixed to the main body 2, for example, by means of gluing.
[0038] Preferably, the absorbent element 4 is made at least in part with a natural or synthetic material capable of absorbing and releasing the fragrance.
[0039] In the preferred embodiment, the absorbent element 4 is made at least in part with a porous material chosen from ceramic, wood, Velcro or paper. Advantageously, this porous material promotes the absorption of the fragrance dispensed and also allows a progressive diffusion of the latter, through the second through hole 6 and through the plurality of through holes 7.
[0040] In a first configuration, the diffuser cap 1 is placed on the perfume bottle B to surround the head T with the edge 21 of the lower circular base, as shown in Figures 5A and 5B. In other words, in this first configuration, the diffuser cap 1 serves as a diffuser, since the head T of the perfume bottle B is inserted into the seat 3 of the diffuser cap 1, through the first through hole 5. In use, in fact, the second through hole 6, having a larger diameter than the first through hole 5, allows a user to compress the head T of the perfume bottle B. In this way, the absorbent element 4 absorbs the fragrance dispensed by means of the porous material and diffuses it into the environment through the second through hole 6 and the plurality of through holes 7.
[0041] Alternatively, the diffuser cap 1 can be reversed, obtaining a second configuration, in which the first through hole 5 is at the upper circular base and the second through hole 6 is at the lower circular base. In this second configuration, the diffuser cap 1 serves as a cap, since the pressure of the head T of the perfume bottle B is hindered. In other words, the edge 22, also at the upper circular base, limits the diffusion of the fragrance and the first through hole 5, having a smaller diameter than the second through hole 6, limits the user when compressing the head T of the perfume bottle B. Advantageously, this second configuration allows said diffuser cap 1 to be used as a stopper for the perfume bottle B, without necessarily replacing the diffuser cap 1 with a known stopper.
[0042] Another object of the present disclosure is a kit 8 comprising at least one diffuser cap 1, according to the present disclosure, and at least one perfume bottle B comprising a head T and having a spray dispensing mechanism, in which the head T can be inserted into the first through hole 5 to find accommodation in the seat 3.
